Susan Crabtree is national political correspondent for RealClearPolitics. For more than 25 years, she has been on the front lines of accountability journalism as a White House and Congressional correspondent. Her penetrating reporting and investigative work have brought much-needed transparency to the inner workings of federal policymaking on issues such as foreign policy, national security, and Congressional ethics. Her stories about the secret service, bribery, corruption, and conflict-of-interest issues on Capitol Hill helped change House and Senate ethics rules and led to FBI and ethics committee investigations.  Crabtree previously served as a senior writer for the Washington Free Beacon, White House correspondent for the Washington Examiner, and senior editor and investigative reporter for The Hill. She also served as a media fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution and as a guest speaker at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
