Speaker 1 (00:00):
Live wires. That's right.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Oh, hold on, you got to get the bed here
real quick.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
The west west north down sound live wire connect.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Oh there we go.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Perfect.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
All right, Let's go to to J. C. Horn and
Derek Brown. They were talking in the locker room yesterday.
Asked about what's different this time around with Atlanta.

Speaker 4 (00:24):
They're trying to play on the edge a lot more,
right now, get the ball outside, get the ball and
beach on his hands again on the edge from what
I've seen, same thing, he said, No, yeah, no, they've
been trying to get to the edge. So they've been
getting Jay Lennon more involved. But he didn't have some
good games since they played US. I think Poenix has

(00:44):
been a little more comfortable. So just new.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Teams pronunciation there on that hour, that was that was interesting.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Well if he but what.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Do you think is most different about Atlanta this time around?
What do you do you think will be most different
about Atlanta this time now?

Speaker 5 (01:03):
What do I think I think they will try to
get Bijon in more creative situations?

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Is how it?

Speaker 5 (01:09):
Because I think I think they thought they could run
it right down the Panthers' throats and they found out
pretty quickly.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
They couldn't, and they did not. They did not have
a good backup.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
It's almost similar to what the Panthers had in the
Saints game.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
They did not have an adequate backup.

Speaker 5 (01:24):
Plan because when they had to put it all on
Michael Pennix's shoulders, they found out he couldn't and on
his left arm he couldn't. So I think I think
a lot of it's going to be, you know, splitting
Bjon out doing more things on the boundary, because the
place the Panthers defense has been most vulnerable has been
on the boundary. If you if you stretch them out
sideline to sideline, that is how you beat in a

(01:47):
zero of arrow defense.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
True. All right, let's move on, because we got to
get to your guy.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Ben Johnson was the one I was thinking of. I
couldn't think of him without my head.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Ben Johnson, Oh there, ye, yeah, he's having a pretty
successful season. Targile guy by the way, So I just
wanted to point that out.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
We got to get to your guy. The mayor.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Though he was talking yesterday and he says that he
is it is still hugely gratifying to play in Charlotte.

Speaker 6 (02:16):
It's like a continued dream come true. I think is
kind of underestimating it a little bit, like it's it's
greater than everything I've ever thought I could do. I mean,
when I was growing up, you know, Charlotte didn't have
an MLS team, and kind of how everything worked out,
you know, there's definitely.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
You know, I'm grateful for it.

Speaker 6 (02:37):
I'm blessed and I can only thank God for it.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
All right, Willie, So you have to explain yourself why
were you having to defend Bram Bronico on Twitter yesterday?

Speaker 5 (02:46):
Because people are judging him for playing out, for playing
a position that's not his natural position. They were judging
him for having to play the pet Biel position, which
is more of an indictment of their depth than it
is about anything having to do with Bran Bronico. And
I know that he feels terrible about the chance they
miss in the third game of the postseason, but in

(03:06):
a perfect world, he's not supposed to be making that play.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Pet bel was supposed to making that play.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
So again, I feel like having to defend somebody who
is more games played than anybody in the club's history
and more minutes played and runs like hell all of
the place. I feel like having to do that maybe
feels like something I don't have to do. But there
are people who just don't know ball and don't understand
what his role is on the team.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Okay, yeah, it makes sense, all right.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Final SoundBite that we got here, Josh Pate talking about
one of his favorite games for the week, Georgia and Texas.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Who think who does he think ultimately wins?

Speaker 1 (03:44):
I think homefield is going to matter here.

Speaker 7 (03:46):
Home Field A lot to get said about Sandford Stadium,
I can tell you at night, especially big time opponent
in town.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
It's a special place. Now.

Speaker 7 (03:55):
Bama went in there and they took care of business
earlier this year. They were razor sharp on third down.
It was the most efficient offensive performance they probably had
all the year. They still only one by three. I
don't think Texas can go in there and be that
efficient against Georgia. And if I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but
I don't think I am. But what I do think

(04:15):
is Texas will compact the game and I don't think
Georgia will pull away. So I don't have a strong
feel in the game other than those factors that I
just said. All lean Georgia, So I think it's a
close game and a one possession game. So I'm gonna
do the thing where I take Georgia to win in
Texas to cover, which just means I think it's going
to be close and I'm not betting on it.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
All right.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
So you hear him break down one of the biggest
games of the week, besides watching Matt Zolar's play. What
game are you going to be most excited to watch
this weekend?

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Willie?

Speaker 5 (04:45):
Well, obviously I'll have at least one eye on Wisconsin
Indiana because of my wife.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
You shouldn't have to have too much of a focus.
Indiana should be able to put that one away. But
getting to that part now where they're playing so well
by the skin of their team, this is.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
A teen tering situation.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
Georgia Texas is the one that that has my my
look just because of the intrigue ken Ken arch Manning
in what will be the most suffocating atmosphere he will
see this season. Will that be something that likes him,
that that shakes him. Notre Dame Pittsburgh intrigues me as well.
And I still come back to you know this, this

(05:25):
Miami NC State game, because it's it's a situation for
NC State where I think the anti dorm people.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
I thought it was very, very curious.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
Earlier in the week, Dave Clausen was on the Morning
show and he said he had a message for the
the NC State people. And again, I'm no, I'm no
dorin Stan. I feel like there was a like two
or three years straight stretch when I was covering acc
media days and they stuck me on radio Row with
Dave Dorn and he's a bundle of laughs. Let me
tell you so, I'm not necessarily a big Dave dorn stand.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Huge personality, I mean, just impossible to contain.

Speaker 5 (05:58):
I mean, you know, dynamic per personality. But he did
say he said, be careful what you wish for NC
State fans. If you don't want Dave Dorian getting you
to a certain level every year, maybe the grass isn't
necessarily greener.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Now.

Speaker 5 (06:14):
Unfortunately, the people said the same thing about wake Forest
and look what Jake Dickard's done for them. I hate
to bring it back to class in there, but can
you find your Jake Dickard if you are NC State,
well you need to be able to do that if
you feel like Dorn's not the guy. But I think
it's a very intriguing spot for them, and it could
potentially put a different tinge on what the off season

competition looks like for the wolfpag

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
