Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now it is time for Panthers Falcons to top ten.
Walker started it off last week. If I'm not mistaken,
I think I did all right. So I will start
it off this week as we go through a nice
stot flound of transitioning. Number ten for me Tetoroa McMillan
coming into this game fourteenth and receiving yards. He has
at least three receptions in every game so far this year.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
So I'm going with Tetroa as my number ten.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Not to belabor any points here, but I'll give you
my eleventh first.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
I'll give you back to back. Jac Horn fell out
of my top ten with his performance. He say, oh wow,
I don't like keel over. I didn't like it. I
didn't like it.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Now, I think some of this has to do with
some members of the Panthers offensive line playing well. I
do think that what the Falcons have is a pretty
good amount of talent up towards the top.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Yes, they're a good, bad team. Yeah, that's it's exactly right. Honestly,
I think they do have a lot of date even
in those teams, Like even if we did the top twenty,
I think you'd see a decent amount of Falcons there,
which perhaps says something about what Raheem Morris is doing.
And it also speaks to just how valuable running the
football and stopping the run is, because if you can't
stop the run, it doesn't matter how many talented players
(01:13):
you have, like for instance, I'll just go ahead and
give it to you straight here too. I don't have
any Atlanta Falcons defensive linemen on this list, okay, and
I think that's a part of the reason as to
why they're so bad against the run. Jac Horn eleven.
Taylor Moten was out last week. He's back in Okay.
Taylor Motin started, you know, pass protecting starting it a
little better.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
I do wonder just how healthy he is, man Like
he's been banged up. This isn't your typical team O
type of season. I wonder how much of it is
real injury versus Father time starting to settle in. But
despite some offensive line changes, I don't think he's been
as good as he has been honestly the last three
four five years. But he's still not been bad. I
think it speaks to the standard of pass blocking and
(01:52):
the run block grade is good for him.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Timo comes in at number ten All right.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Number nine for me, I go to the Atlanta Falcons
in their center, Bryan new zeal he's sixth in interior
offensive lineman pass block win rate. He's PFS ninth rated center,
and he's top fifteen rated in both pass and run
block by PFF.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Okay, number nine for Walker Mail. It's the tackle for
Atlanta in Jake Matthews. Thought about putting him higher. Maybe
I should a little painful think about Jake Matthews. Is
he's excellent against the pass. Yeah, and he's been very
good for quite some time. I'm going to change it.
(02:34):
I reserve the right to change it. Jake Matthews is
going to go one spot ahead. I'll put T Mac here.
I got T mac at number nine. That makes more
sense to me, just giving it a once over. I
think with T Mac I would like to see some
more explosive games. I don't think it's his fault really though, man,
I mean, you're running the football the time. He's got
an unbelievable target share. It's just that the Panthers don't
throw it and we're not seeing a whole If he
(02:56):
gets forty percent of the targets, Okay, that's great, except
we're not throwing it all that much because we keep
handing it off to Rico. I think he's doing a
nice job. He's number nine on this list. And then
I'll just go ahead and give you a sneak peek.
Jake Matthew's number eight yard you all right, no doubt
about it. Number eight for me, I've got Damian Lewis,
And for the purposes of the time, that's not a
bad idea for you to do that. But he's only
(03:17):
going in the league to rank in the top ten
of both passing run block only allowed two hits and
eleven pressures.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Damian Lewis my number eight.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
All right, let's get back on track because I threw
us offer, he's number seven.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
Number seven for me, I've got Rico Daldoh. He's falling
down just a little bit, but that also points to
the amount of talent in this game. Third rushing y'all's
ninth and rushing touchdowns six and explosive runs. He's getting
it done and had a tough game last week, but
obviously it's hard to run against heavy boxes like he
was talking about as well as I got him at
number seven.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
Literally have the same order that you do, so I
need to stop doing that. Why am I jumping ahead
top ten? Man, It's not been a great showing for
me in top ten tm O ten, t Mac nine,
Matthews eight. I've Damian Lewis seven. I wonder how much
of that is just positional value at guard, but I
do value it.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
More and more so. Honestly, he's been so rock solid
for this team. I've been great value.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Yeah, he has been, so give me Damian Lewis at
number seven on the list.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
I'm not putting him higher, but I like him all right.
Number six with me. This is where Jake Matthews comes
in to play for me. He's ninth in offensive tackle
past block win rate and he's the third best pass
blocker in all of football at the tackle position according
to Pro Football.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
OK.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Yeah, he's a monster. That's why I had to move
him up up to eight. You could argue even higher
as you did. This is where I have Rico o'dowdell.
I wonder how hurt he was too last week. In fact,
they kept working on his quads every single time that
he would go to the sideline. It felt like he
wasn't breaking some of the tackles that he had been
in previous weeks. And if he does that, I wonder
how different of a football game we're talking about too. Rico'
(04:51):
daddle still an amazing season. Rico' Dawdell comes in just
outside the top five.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
All right, coming up for me at number five, I've
got Linstrom, three time All Pro. He is top five
rated run blocker and top five guard.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Oh excuse me, guard, yeah, tackle, he's a tackle, Chris guard.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
That's right, that's right, my bad. Top five guard as well.
He's only allowed twenty five he has allowed twenty five
pressures though, so that is not good. But he's part
of a unit that has but John Robinson averaging five
yards per care.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
He's a linebacker.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
I've got the same thing. He's everything, mister Chris Linstrom.
I've got Chris Linstrom here as well. Yeah, the same
exact spot.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
The thing about him, man, it's the pass protection, which
that hurts your value.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
To me, if you're a guard and you give up
into your value run block. I do value it, I
know I do.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
And I just think, man, if you're not good at
protecting the passer as a guard, that's a quick way
to ruin a drive.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
It is and that so okay.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
For every fifteen excellent run block snaps that you have
that could really get the train moving, it's why you're
in the top five.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
It's why you deserve to be up here. But man,
that once that I don't know. Perhaps every three of
the fifteen dominant run STAPs you have, you allow some
pressure to get in Michael Pennock's face, who needs all
the help he can get right now not playing good
football again, it's a great way to ruin a drive.
Maybe Drake London's open can't throw it because Linstrom just
allowed some pressure to get through right up the middle.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Now Penix has to pick a side on where to roll.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Interior pass rush still is I think the most disruptive
thing a quarterback deals with a lot of QB say,
interior pass rush is king. I don't know, man, That's.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Why I have Linstrom five because he is such an
excellent run blocker, but pass blocking needs to be better.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Number four for me, out of wake Forest Jesse Bates
two time All Pro career twenty six interceptions.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
He's got three career pick sixes.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
He's only missed three tackles this year and two interceptions
on the.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Grades are down this year for Jesse Bays.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
This is one where you just gotta know, Yeah, just
got to know. With Jesse I do wonder too how
much of it is they're running the football.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
They're runing the football.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
Can this team He actually had comments about that either
yesterday or today looking it up on Twitter. He's like, Hey,
something's got to give, man, We got to figure out
a way to stop the bleeding with the rushing attack
being so effective against us, and that's not necessarily his
game's not bad against it. He's just a savant in coverage.
You've seen him get on the board with turnovers the
last couple of games. Two interceptions in the last two
(07:21):
games after having zero all the way up to that point,
so starting to get going a little bit and creating
some turnovers and being that savant we speak of. Despite
some of the bad grades, we know what it is
with Jesse Bates. He comes in at number four, all right,
number three for me.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Derek Brown second among defensive tackles and stops those are
deemed plays at are failures for the offense. He's got
sixteen pressures. He's been in a little bit of a slump.
If you let analytics tell the story over the last
few games, and he is second in solo tackles among
defensive tackle I think we're.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
Going to have the same exact order. I got Derek
b Y, Yeah, I got Derek Brown number three. I think, man,
the other two guys have been special and just are
special at their spot with the way that they've been playing.
But Derek Brown, for all the dominant reasons that we've
talked about all season long, just an absolute force to
be reckoned with. And I will say this too, when
Chris Linstrom, every single time you play them, gets destroyed
(08:15):
and embarrassed, I have no problem saying he gets embarrassed
by Derek Brown.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
I hope to see that again.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
When you beat a guy that's that's that good pretty consistently,
I think that only enhances your role here.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
But he comes at number three, all right.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Drake Lendon for me is number two top ten and receptions,
yards and touchdowns. He's got zero drops this year, and
he's also.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
A zone killer.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
He's got forty six of his catches and four hundred
and sixty eight yards versus zone coverage this season. So
if you're the Panthers and you get to that zone
you gotta watch out for.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Drake London. I thought about putting them number one. I
know you did. You a receiver, gud Man, I am.
I know you did.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
But you can say that I know who your number
one is and we'll talk about it.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
But you could at least say he's kind of a receiver.
No he is. Yeah, he's great.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
I have him at number one for we're talking about
number two and number one. I got Drake Lennon too.
I decided to put him here at this spot. I
think part of the reason is because one, his play
is so dictated on quarterback play, but he's so quarterback friendly.
You talk about somebody that's immaculate at the point of
the catch, Yeah, just strongest hands, maybe at the wide
(09:21):
receiver position at this point, so good and gets crazy
separation like you talk about a big guy running excellent
red zone routes.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
Drake London is that guy.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
He's been an absolute monster, doesn't matter where you line
him up. Drake London. I thought about it, I really did.
I think there's a case for it, but I got
him number two.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
All right, number one.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
You guys already know what is the perfect running back
in my opinion top ten and rushing yards top ten
and yards per attempt second and forced Mistackle was fiftheen
yards out to contact per attempt and he's the second
leading receiver on the team with forty three catches for
four hundred and sixty seven yards and two scores. Mister
b John Robinson, mister Lamborghini himself is the number one hood.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
How did you think it was gonna be? Yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
The only reason that I thought about putting Bajon at
number two and Drake London at number one is I
would say at their position, London is giving me the
better production. I don't think that's because of a lack
of ability or an indictment on what Bajon is as
a player. One, they have an other good running back
and Tyler Algier, so they use him in the red
zone every once in a while, much too Bejon Robbins,
(10:25):
fantasy football owner's dismay. The other thing is with Bajon,
I just think you get down in some of these games,
and you're also trying to throw the football as much
as possible. So I think it's just because of the
way that they use him more so than it's any
indictment on his play. Jon is still a freakazoid, like
if you put him on the Colts. Yeah, he's doing
(10:46):
a lot of the safe stuff.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
J I was gonna say, what's crazy though, is that
it feels that way because you're right, some games they
do do that with him. But he's still third in
the league a scrimmags yards from scrimmas. He's got eleven
and forty six yards from scrimmats. Jonathan Taylor has thirteen
ninety nine, so he's not far behind him. But yeah,
it is some games, like the first time that they
played with a game script does dictate that. But John
didn't get the rushing attempts like he should. But this
(11:09):
is a twenty touchdown per game. Like to me, if
you're the Atlanta Falcons, you got to find a way
to get him twenty plus touches per game, no doubt
about it. So to recap my top ten, I have
got Tytoroa McMillan at number ten, Ryan Newzil at number nine,
Damian Lewis number eight, Ricodowdos seven, Jake Matthew six, Chris
(11:29):
Lyinstrom five, Jesse Bates four, Derek Brown three, Drake London two.
But John Lamborghini. Robinson number one, Taylor Moten number ten.
We have Team AC number nine, Jake Matthews eight, Damian
Lewis seven, Rico Daddle six. Jesse Bates is the first
thing that excuse me. Chris Lnstrom is the first in
the top five. Then it's Jesse Bates at number four,
(11:51):
Derek Brown three, Drake London two, John Robinson number one,
