Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome to Reality the King. It's me Carlos Kings, the
King of Reality TV and one of the most sought
after executive producers in reality television with over ten years
a production experience. Twice a week on Reality with the King,
we'll sit down with my friends across the entertainment industry,
recap our favorite reality shows and revisit unforgettable moments that

(00:25):
we are still talking and tweeting about. Let's enter the
latest episode of the Real Housewives of Miami. Miami Housewives
is such a good show and I feel like this
season may be their best season yet. The Real Housewives

(00:48):
of Miami is a show where these women are definitely
bringing their a game. And I have to show how
Larca Pippin, whether you love or hate her, lots of Pippin,
is clocked in. Larsa's clocked in. If you're not watching
The Real Housewives in Miami, watch it. It's such a

(01:10):
good show. It's a ten out of a ten. And
the beauty of that show is those ladies are clocked in.
And what I like about the show too is I
believe they're all friends. I believe they hang out within
our filming. I believe that they like each other. We'll
get into it happened last night's episode, But I believe them.
I believe that they like being around each other. That's

(01:30):
what makes it so interesting to me. This beef between
Larsa and Lisa, to me is the funniest beef in
the history of housewives. One of excuse me, because I
think it's all about the girl code and the moment
you're on this person's side that person's side, something happens.
But I do understand where lars is coming from in

(01:53):
the sense of if I break up with somebody and
this person has been attacking me via text on social media,
and you met this, you met my strange ex man
through me, why are you or anybody else still being
associated with them? And you could say what you want

(02:14):
about Larsa, but I like to make sure you guys
have the facts at the end of the day. When
Lisa was going through her situation with Lenny two seasons ago,
remember Larsa was the one who gave Lisa a lot
of legal advice because Larsa went through a divorce from

(02:39):
her ex Scottie Pippen, and I remember watching Larsa take
inventory and even telling Lisa, you're saying too much, zip
it because she knew this could be hold up against
you in the court of law. I even believe that
Larsa referred a divorce that turned to her or made

(03:00):
her speak to a couple of them. So once again,
what's interesting is one thing that I love about their
friendship is I felt that at that time that Larson
was being a girl's girl. And I'm on Larsa's side.
I love Lisa. Lisa's fantastic in this particular situation, I

(03:20):
am on I'm on Lara's side because everything she did
to help her with a divorce made sense to me
as to why Larce wants some loyalty. This man is
not your homeboy. You met this man through me, and
why I do agree with Lisa that you can't tell
your man who to hang out with. I do think

(03:43):
in terms of the fact that Lisa still follows Marcus
is crazy. It's crazy. It's crazy. That's that's wild. Why
are you still following Marcus? I don't get that. I
don't get that. I don't get that. And listen, I'm
on Larsus Simon becomes that popular, I'm popular or not.
I'm on Larsa's side, because I've seen Larsa be a
good friend to Lisa when Lisa was going through the

(04:06):
most traumatic experience of her life at that time in
her life, when she was divorcing Lenny. And my condolences
go out to Lisa obviously because she lost her father.
We saw it on the show. As I look at
where they were prior to that, I just felt that
Larsa was in the right. Do y'all agree with that?

(04:26):
I mean, I'm on Lasa side, and Larsa eats honey
and she chewed, so that was that, okay. So that aside.
When it comes to the moment of the evening on
the show, I'm confused about the dynamic between Julia and Gerty.
I'm way more confused about the dynamic between Alexia and

(04:51):
her ex husband current husband, A strange husband, Ben a factor,
Ben Hopper. I don't know. That's confusing too. Have time
to get into that. But what I will get into
is Julia and Gerty's relationship. I happen to love both
of those girls. I got a chance to meet them.
They both on my podcast. They're both, you know, great girls.

(05:13):
But one thing about my podcast is, you know, I'm honest.
I'm very honest. As I was watching the first I
want to say this was this was our fourth or
fifth episode. I didn't understand why Julia did not allow
Gerty to know the information that she just told the

(05:34):
girls on Zoom and did not want Gerty to find
out via text. That to me, in my opinion, sent
a strong message that Julia just ain't messing with Gerty.
That's clear as day. If I'm invited to a zoom
and I get kicked out of the zoom and I
text you what happened, I'm texting what's going on and
you say to me, you'll find out when the world will.

(05:58):
That to me was an indicator that Julia a messing Gerdy.
But Julia did not do a good job at explaining
to the audience what happened to the point where she
felt the need to be disrespectful, because I thought that
was disrespectful. If we're friends and you're telling the rest
of our castmates who are also friends this good news.

(06:18):
I felt that it's common courtesy to tell me, call me,
text me if you're mad that I missed, and that's
one thing. Don't even text me back. If that's the case,
but at least give me the common courtesy of telling
me something that I was that I mist and listen,
Gerdie said she was kicked off a zoom child. But

(06:40):
now I'm like, well shit without on purpose that proper
is confusing to me. But again, I never feel that
things are that deep. So I was like, okay, to me,
it's not that deep. It wasn't that deep to me
until this past episode. I'm making sure my store dash
comps okay. So one thing that I thought to myself, okay,

(07:05):
is what really happened between these two? That was my
biggest thing, Like what happened between these two? Right? And
I felt like Gertie was about to explain to us
what was going on, and I'm gonna tell y'all something
that I know to be true. When I'll get to
that later. Actually let me, let me, let me hold

(07:25):
on that. So I'm watching the episode. They're at Marisolce event. Hey, Tisha,
They're at Marasauce event. She got married, She's happy, Gertie
comes in, Gertie kisses everybody. Julia does have a stained
face the whole time. And it's interesting because I've hung

(07:46):
out with Julia and Julia has. It's a sweetheart. She's
so sweet, she's so beautiful, she's kind. So even seeing
the snide eyeballs of Julia, I'm like, what, like, what
what did Gertie do? Like, well, us help you, what
did Gerty do? You are giving Gerty the stak look

(08:08):
and my girl just walked in with her green dress
looking amazing. I didn't get it. So then they started
talking about what went wrong between them, and one thing
about Gerty Gerty can hold a captive audience because Gerty
has such a strong presence that she's able to hold

(08:30):
the floor right, She's able to hold the floor. And
I thought she did a great job at that. Okay,
So as we're learning what's going on, Gerty is explaining
to the girl and to all of us in a
very clean, clear, and succinct way. And as she's explaining

(08:51):
what happened on the boat, I, based on what the
camera showed child Julia looked like she was seething. And
this is what happens ninety nine point nine percent of
the time when we watch reality TV when two women

(09:13):
are having a discussion and one woman is trying not
to let the other woman speak. Nine times out of
ten is because that woman does not want the truth
to be revealed, and she will do everything as a distraction.
That's that's I'm I'm just being honest here. As Gertie
was explaining what happened on the boat when it came

(09:34):
to Julia, Gertie Russell, that's Gertie's husband, and how Julia
missed the ball her and Martina, and she's explaining it
and Julia is trying to overtalk her, which, okay, that's fine,
that's housewives one on one. Okay, fine, over talk her. Fine.

(09:56):
To see Julia throw a drink on Gertie was shocking
and horrible, and I don't see how anybody can defend that.
I'm not here defending what Julia did. And I love Julia.
I think Julia's great. I'm basing everything off of that
moment like I always did my podcast. Julia was dead

(10:17):
as wrong, and the psychology of throwing a drink on
somebody as there. This is the thing that that that
and I want to try to I want to try
to really look at this from a different standpoint. Gertie
is on one side of the table, key Key's in
the middle, and Julia is on the other side. Gertie

(10:38):
is talking to the women on the opposite side, which
is Alexia Larsa and Marrisol. She's not talking to Julia.
She's not over talking Julia in front of Key keyth
She's not moving Key Keith's you know space. Gerdi literally
is looking straight ahead of her and saying, okay, girl,
this is what happened. She's not doing this. She literally

(11:01):
is telling them and Julia is trying to interrupt her. Okay,
then to add insult to injury. As Julia's talking, all
Gerdie said was like be quiet, and that's when Julia
got the ice water and sloppily poor did like, if

(11:21):
you're gonna throw a drink, Julia, Baby, watch jos Lee
her Nanddace Money, Watch Love and Hip Hop, I mean,
watch Baddie's zoos. Baby, if you go throw a drink,
I mean, I have never seen a more sloppy drink
throw in my life. Watch Jersey Housewatch Child, watch Baddo
Pork Rules Wash the Valley. The drink was like, I'm like,

(11:47):
who to drink like that? Like, Doti, this ain't your testimony,
I digress, child. We are just getting started. This is

(12:08):
reality with the King, and I'm Carlos King. Let's get
back into the show. What was shocking to me was
the fact that nobody defended Girty, and that part disturbed
me like no other. I was. I was offended for
Gerdy that no one. I'm big on being fair. I'm

(12:30):
big on like okay. I may not even like you.
I may not mess with you. I may think you
over the top, I may think your team too much.
But I'm a firm believer is right is right and
wrong is wrong. If I'm at a table of people
and I'm friends with this person and I'm okay with

(12:52):
that person, and I see the person that I'm okay
with get a drink thrown in their faith, I will
stand up. I will stand up and be like, yo,
y'all doing too much. Stop and what are you doing, Julia?
That's fucked up? What are you doing? The fact that
they said there like, oh my gosh, that was awful

(13:12):
to me that nobody stood up for Gerty. I feel
bad for Gerdy again. You don't have to like Gerdy
to do what it's right. Because if the roles were reversed,
let's have a real conversation. If the rolls were reversed
if Gerdy threw a drink on Julia. Do we really
have to have a conversation of what would have happened

(13:34):
if Gerdy, who some people considered to be so over
the top, right, if she threw a drink on Julia.
I don't believe in my heart of hearts, the girls
would react to say that they did to Gerny. I
don't believe that. I just I find that hard to believe.

(13:55):
I was very surprised that ke Key did not stand
up for Gerdy. And when I say that, be very clear,
I love Kiki too. I love some Kiki and I
was and I love seeing Keike with her daughter and
her mother. It's one of my favorite scenes in the episode. However,
he Ki Kiki had more water throat on her than Gerdy.

(14:18):
Let's have a real conversation because the way that Julia sloppily,
I feel like Julia was doing the Keith Lee challenge.
The way she do that drink, I'm like, is this
a TikTok video you doing, Julia or you trying to
throw drinks on the girl because it was giving kick

(14:40):
Lee tiktalk Julia, what are you doing? Julia's filled more
water on Keiki than Gerdy, and I was just shocked
at Keiki, who I look at as somebody who stands
on the of right. I was very surprised that Kekey

(15:03):
did not even say, like Julia, what the fuck? What
are you? None of that happened. Nothing that happened. Nobody
chastised Julia. And then to see her get coddled at
the end, I was like, no one has coddled Gerdy,

(15:27):
who is drenched in ice water. No one, not even Keiki.
And then in Keiky's confession of she said, well, somebody
threw a drink on me, I would say what I
have to say, leave now, Keik, you look baby, I
don't know where you're from, boob well, where you're from Haiti,
but I'm from Detroit. And listen, I'm not saying violence

(15:53):
is the answer. Of course, I'm not saying that. All
I'm saying is I'm not leaving if somebody throws a
drink on me or anybody in my circle who looked
like me. The last thing we're doing is leading. And
y'all can read between the lines. I don't know who's leading.

(16:18):
And the beauty of Gerty was similar to doctor Wendy
with Mia through the drink of doctor Wendy. How doctor
Wendy has so much poise and grace in terms of
her disposition. And I already talked about about the other
girls and what they did, so we don't have to
get into that. Listen to rialdore m Kings out there, child.

(16:41):
I was disappointed in the way the girls did not
have Gertie's back. And you have to be a person
who just don't like Gerty to not understand how awful
that looked. You don't have to be. I love it
when we can have conversations about being on the right
side of history. And to me it was so obvious.

(17:06):
It's listen, it's nice what we did on Monday Night Live.
Right a Monday Night Live. We had a debate on
who side you on Britt or Kelly or Atlanta Housewives.
Who sided you are? Kelly called popper right, y'all said
she she pretty much called Britta junkie. And then Britt

(17:26):
talked about the alleged abortion she had. We had a
debate about that. That to me was something debatable, and
I said, two wrongs don't make no right, y'all, both wrongs.
But the one thing I will get britt. She chewed
her bob that wasn't folded up, and she looked good.
Brittla good. That is a debatable conversation. Nothing is debatable

(17:51):
about what happened to Gertie. And it's shocking to me
that there's I'm shocking anybody who with eyeballs would say
girl was wrong because Gerdy did nothing wrong and it
was disturbing to see. I didn't like it at all. Listen,
the beauty of watching me shows is you can have
a bad moment and redeem yourself from it. So we

(18:13):
shall see what happens in the aftermath. But let's be clear,
what Julia did to Gerdy was one hundred percent wrong.
And Gerty, a lot of people say you're a better
woman than them, and I get where they're coming from.
But I would like for us to give Gerty all
the profits of the world, because Gerdy is a cancer

(18:36):
survivor and I know she's still going through at least
on this show, she's going through the process of too.
But Gerty did not deserve that. And the fact that
Gerdy and listen up rain drops Girty is good in
the midst of having a drink thrown in your face.
Gerty still understood the assignment and said, I'm going to

(18:58):
get my point across. And when she said how Julia
allegedly went to New York City to get a facelift
while Martina had chemo, I said, oh, in my opinion,
that's why Julia threw the drink on you, because she
did not want that to go out. I mean, she
did not want that to come out. If it's true.

(19:20):
I don't know if it's true. However, in my Kimmy voice,
when a woman or man throws her drink on you,
that's a device to get you to shut up and
leave or to physically attack them. Julia did not want
that to come out, and it was obvious she just didn't.

(19:43):
She didn't, and Gertie knew she didn't. And Gerty is
a great housewife because Gerdi reminds me of Kenya in
the sense of, despite the adversity you're up against on
the show, you're still going to finish her statement. And
that's who Gertie is. I have so much respect for

(20:04):
Gerdie for going through that and still revealing the information
that she wants to get across. And when she said
what Julia allegedly did, which was getting a facelift while
Martina was going through chemo. My advice to Julia would

(20:26):
have been, if that's true, who can? I don't care.
That doesn't change the way I look at Julia. You
and Martina have been together forever. If Martina is okay
with you leaving her for a day or to get
a facelift, that's your marriage. Who cares? That's what you're
y'all getting a facelift schedule. Do y'all know how long

(20:51):
it takes to get a facelift schedule? Now, I haven't
had one child, but either a lot of the girls, honey,
that takes months or a year to get an appointment.
I would have loved for Julia if it should to
say look first of all, I would have fun with it.
Do y'all not know how long it takes to get

(21:12):
on the waiting list for a face left. I spoke
to my wife and she was fine with it, and
I have people back home helping her, and I was
only gone for a day or two. That would have
been my response, and everybody would have been, like our
girl work. Julia released a statement I think like last
week or two weeks ago, where she talked about her

(21:35):
behavior this season and what was going on with it.
Obviously it's she's getting ahead of what we saw last night.
And like I said, I love Julia. I think Julia's
is a nice moment, but that was not I Julia,
you have a lot of explaining to do, and I
don't know how you're going to be able to explain it.
It was I need to understand why you felt that

(21:59):
was the case and you, oh, Gerty, a huge apology.
And if that doesn't happen this season, that's not great.
That's not great. That's not great, and it's not great
if none of the other women tell Julia to her
face how wrong she was. Gerty, you need to really

(22:23):
take inventory. Who's your friend on that show? And a
lot of people have said that doctor Nicole Martin was
on the show, none of this would be happening, And
based on what I saw last night, I think that's
some truth to that. So my heart was out the Gerty.
Nobody deserves that to happen to them, especially when all

(22:45):
they were doing is getting a point across literally across
the table, across the table. She was getting her point
across the table. Gerty, take some inventory. On your friends.
I need to know why nobody father needs to stand
up for you. I was shocked because as I'm watched

(23:05):
the show, like I said at the top of the recap,
I felt like this cast loves each other. They like
each other. So I was super shocked that nobody had
Gertie's back. It was it was. It was sad to see.
I love it with y'all reference and Housewives slow shout
out to kid Richards, y'all are hilarious. The color would

(23:28):
have had her back like a real sister. If you
watch at Billy Hill, you would know what she's talking about. Okay, okay,
well I'm gonna answer this. Hey mo, Nick Austin Carlins show,

(23:50):
have you been watching for the past three sees? The
these are mean girls? What are you missing? Listen? I know,
based on doing reality television that sometimes a woman can
have a season where she isn't the nicest, where she
could be considered a mean girl. I believe in redemption.
I believe we all have We all have seasons where we,

(24:12):
you know, may not be our best selves. Right. I
never thought this cast was consecutive mean girls. There's girls
on the show who are just not nice. But I
always thought it was camaraderie. And yes, I've always I've
always loved the relationship between Nicole and Gertie. I always

(24:36):
thought Gerty and Julia were fine. That's why all of
this is weird. I'm telling y'all, it's weird to me
and Julia. I just don't understand what Gerty did to you.
It's missing missing milk carton nine one one emergency. It's
I don't get it. I don't get it. I don't

(24:59):
get it. And Gerdy is a strong woman. So this
episode is dedicated to Gerdy. We love you, Sis, it
was not you. Class acts. The cod posts about the

(25:24):
incident of her story defending Gerty. Oh okay, Gerard King,
shout out to my relative. I don't ever related. What
do you know for sure? You said you're gonna hold
off on something. Okay, how about I said it. What
I know for sure is this, I said it. But

(25:45):
I'll thank you, Gira. I'll give you context. If you
ever watch a reality show and somebody throws a drink
on the other person, it's a device to shut you
up so that you don't get exposed. Whenever you see
that happens, it is to shut you up so that

(26:07):
you don't get exposed. And that's why I'm saying Gerdy
is a top tier housewife because to have water down
your nostros like you went swimming at the YMCA, and
you still, despite being h two old, you still understood
the assignment that I'm going to get this out. So

(26:29):
when she said that Julia went to get a face
lift while Martina was in chemo, that is what Julia
did not want Gerdy to say. And she said, I'm
gonna shut your mouth with ice cubes. Little did she
know with the Keith Lee challenge on TikTok, she got

(26:52):
key Key more wet than Gerdy, and she, in my opinion,
thought that a dive ursion would occur and that Gerty
will leave the scene and that she would not be exposed.
That's how I took it. I'm just being honest with child.
That's how a ticket, that's how tooke it. That's not
a ticket. So that's what happened. So whenever you watch

(27:15):
the show and you see a drinking throw, they want
the on the person shut up. That's what happened. Gertie
did that, baby, Gerty, Gerty's good and listen That's why
it's always I always tell people this, just be honest,
be real, tell your truth. When you tell your truth

(27:36):
to the audience when you are on reality TV, regardless
of if they like your truth or not, you will
always win because you're not hiding behind a false persona
the moment as a reality star, you hide behind a
false persona, you will forever lose the game because you

(27:57):
will forever be a prisoner to the public opinion. Forever, forever, forever.
All right, I think my begin flud is here, child,
I got some run so rain drops once again. Love
