around the world as we discusscurrent events in relation to Bible
prophecy.
All of this is to give theworld a final Revelation Warning.
Now, here is your host withthis week's guest, Pastor Robert
(00:29):
Thibodeau.
Foreign hello, everyone everywhere.
Pastor Robert Thibodeau here.
Welcome to the RevelationWarning podcast.
We are so blessed that you'rejoining us here today.
What if I told you that someof the most beloved superheroes of
(00:53):
all time, characters thatmillions of people look up to, are
actually promoting a twistedhidden agenda that behind the colorful
images and the blackblockbuster films, there is a deliberate
effort to rewrite God's rolein the universe.
We all love a good hero story, good versus evil, and light overcoming
(01:17):
darkness.
But what if the stories thatare shaping our culture today are
actually doing the opposite thing?
What if your favorite comicbook characters are subtly reshaping
what we believe about God,about Satan, and about salvation
itself?
Today, Pastor Joe Schimmel ishere to pull back the curtain and
reveal what's hiding in plain sight.
(01:38):
And once you hear this, youwill never look at superheroes the
same way again.
Amen.
Pastor Joe Schimmel is arenowned Christian pastor, speaker,
filmmaker dedicated toexposing the hidden spiritual agendas
in pop culture.
As a founder of Good FightMinistries, he has spent decades
uncovering how music andmovies and comics shape worldviews,
(01:59):
often in ways that justbasically distort biblical truth.
His groundbreakingdocumentaries include they Sold Their
Souls for Rock and Roll,Marvel, and DC's War on God series.
And they've reached thousandsaudiences all across the world.
I mean, today he joins us inrevealing some shocking insights
into the spiritual deceptionlurking behind some of the biggest
(02:22):
names in entertainment.
With that being said, help me.
Welcome to the program PastorJoe Schill.
Pastor Joe, it's a blessing tohave you back with us today.
I always look forward tocatching up with you.
You stable in whenever we geta chance.
You guys are doing some greatwork out there.
Well, Pastor Bob, it's alwaysa incredible joy for me to be on
with you.
I love your infectious spiritfor the truth and your love for Jesus
(02:44):
and it's one of the reasons Ilove being on your show.
You love truth and.
And you have no fear.
I praise God for that.
Yeah, we're excited.
We just got done with our newvideo, Stan Lee God and the Devil.
And I mean, he made 60 cameoappearances, you know, and the Marvel
movies and Marvel's thebiggest movie franchise on earth.
(03:06):
So it's influencing notmillions, but hundreds of millions
of people.
So getting into Stan Lee andexposing what he's about was very,
very important to us.
The second, this, the thirdinstallment in our series, and they're
all eye popping, you know, infact, the last one, we spent some
time on Stan Lee and hischaracter Dr.
Strange.
And Dr.
(03:26):
Strange has made hisappearance on the silver screen more
than once now.
And we show how Dr.
Strange was basically made inthe image of Satanist Aleister Crowley.
And he talked about bringingthe sorcerer back.
Dr.
Strange.
And he helped develop Doctor Strange.
That would be Stan Lee.
And we show conclusive evidence.
Even a gentleman named, well, Engelbert.
(03:48):
He was a.
One of the main workers onStan Lee after he was developed by.
I'm sorry, one of the mainworkers on Dr.
Strange after he was developedby Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
And he talks about how helearned the magic and he becomes
a members of Crowley's oto andhimself got involved in that Satanism
(04:10):
and imported that into Dr.
Strange's character.
We even show with Dr.
Strange used to be called Dr.
Droom.
That was before Druid, youknow, same kind of connections where
he actually looks the same, know, as Alester Crowley.
Then they changed his look.
It's.
It's just mindboggling.
We show like 20 different parallels.
It's obvious, it's a slam dunk.
But this new movie, we.
(04:30):
We dive into Stanley himself.
Okay.
All right.
You know, many comic bookwriters, you know, including those
Marvel and dc, they haveacknowledged connections to mysticism
and occult practices and like, alluded to as Alistair Crowley's
teachings.
(04:51):
How does this connection run?
And what, you know, whatevidences have you uncovered that
suggest these creators arereally just channeling more than
just their creative inspirations?
Yeah, it's a great question.
You know, there's a popular,it's the most popular website promoting
comics on the Internet.
(05:12):
It's called Comic Book Review.
And they have a poll doneevery four years for the top hundred
writers.
And the last four years beforethis, last New Year, now we're talking
about, you know, just over ayear ago now, the top two guys were
Alan Moore and then number twois Grant Morrison.
Then this, just before thisNew year vote was for the next four
(05:34):
years and Alan Morris, AlanMoore was number one again and Grant
Morrison is number two andthis time Stan Lee's number three.
Well, I've just talked aboutStan Lee and his promotion of Lester
Crowley's magic and so forththrough, you know, Doctor Strange
and, you know, the Eye in Thetriangle was Dr.
(05:54):
Strange's deal with that camefrom Crowley.
All these differentconnections, it's crazy.
But you look at the top twoguys, Alan Moore, number one.
I mean he's considered theShakespeare of the graphic novel.
And we show where he is agnostic.
He talks about how he contactsdemons, how he practices Crowley's
magic.
He calls, he says he's intouch with the demon of cinema.
(06:15):
And he says as long as youtreat them good, they'll treat you
good.
He's learned to work with them.
And he channels a lot of theinformation from demonic entities.
And then number two is Grant Morrison.
And Grant Morrison, we have aclip in one of our videos where we
show him coming on the stageand you know, a bunch of young people
are just screaming theirbraces off.
And not just young people, allages really.
(06:38):
And because he's consideredjust such an icon of the movement,
he's the number two guy.
And he talks about how hecouldn't write.
Alan Moore couldn't writereally either until they got started
practicing Crowley's magic.
The Bible says, the book ofRevelation, that the judgments of
God's wrath come upon peoplebecause they refuse to repent of
their worship of demons and stuff.
(06:58):
We're seeing more of that inthe end of days.
And he talks about how heencourages these young people.
There's a big giant, you know,he's big old, you know, he's speaking
to this huge theater typething and all these kids, young people
there.
And a big screening back has abig picture of Satan, Celeste Crowley
with 666 under it.
And he talks about, hey.
(07:18):
He says, hey man, get intoCrowley by Crowley's books.
He encourages these young people.
So these guys are spreading, they're saying, hey, this is how
I got.
He talked about this, how Igot my ability.
So Satanism is spreadingthrough the top writers that are
advancing lot of theirteachings toward young people.
In fact, one of his bestfriends who was a TV presenter for,
(07:39):
in Great Britain for manyyears, he says of, of, of Grant Morrison,
he goes, yeah, he, he shootsthese Kenny coated bullets into the
brains of kids and when theyget in he goes, they blank and mess
them up.
And, but he's saying this with glee.
So parents need to be awarethat there we're not wrestling against
flesh and blood.
There's a spiritual war andthey're after our kids.
(08:02):
And you've provided us acouple clips that we want to listen
to.
You know, go ahead and explainthe first one.
What are we going to hear?
Yeah, we've got three clipsfrom the new movie.
We do show some of the strangeconnection with.
With Stan Lee.
But the documentary starts offwith him, you know, proclaiming he
wanted to be God and so forth.
(08:23):
And then it's interestingbecause that plays into him diminishing
of God, diminishing Godhimself and exalting comic book characters.
And basically he enters intobiblical cosmology and considers
God basically, you know, throwshade at God and exalts the devil
in his work.
And the first clip that wouldbe great to see is of his sidekick,
(08:49):
guy by the name of Ditko.
And this gentleman we show inthis clip where from his youth he.
A bunch of Hasidic rabbis werejumping around him trying to cast.
Because his parents calledhim, because they were seeing what
they thought was demonicactivity in demonic manifestations
in his life through him beingseverely sick and who knows what
exactly they saw.
(09:09):
And these guys were trying tocast this demon out of him.
And he talks about how thatexperience changed his life and that
it's from that time, by theway, that all these different characters
and all this ability began toflow through Kirby.
Now, it's interesting becausewe go from there to where he's asked
(09:30):
to develop this charactercalled Galactus by Stan Lee.
And Galactus becomes a pictureof God.
And.
And there's a new movie comingout just around the bend by Marvel
on Galactus, which willprobably be pretty huge.
And Galactus is devourer ofplanets and.
And destructive and, you know, just narcissistic into just feeding
(09:51):
himself, even though if itmeans destroying planets and killing
millions of people.
And he says, and you'll see inthis clip, you know, that he had
to go to the Bible, you know,to develop his character and that
he had to get away frombecause he realized he was dealing
with God, you know, and thenhe goes on to see in this clip, but
he also had to develop theSilver Surfer.
And the Silver Surfer isGalactus's emissary, you know, his
(10:12):
herald, who goes to thesedifferent planets, like a kind of
John the Baptist kind of guyto prepare them to be devoured.
Yet the sober Surfer has achange of heart.
He realizes Galactus isbasically incredibly destructive.
And, you know, what he's doingis evil.
And he rebels against him tosave humanity.
And he says, as we'll see inthis clip, that that rep.
(10:36):
He was the fallen angel of the Bible.
The devil.
Yeah, he's the hero.
Anyway, let's roll a clip.
Wow.
Wow.
So this is talking about justwarping the minds of.
(11:00):
And they start with a youthbecause what's going to have the
youth are going to grow up andhave their own kids.
You know, the.
Yeah, and so it just spreadsand populates.
I mean, how.
How can we not see this?
You know, why is that soblinding to everyone?
Because, you know, they flockto these movies by the millions.
(11:23):
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's amazing.
And, you know, later on, youknow, they'll change his origin story,
but make him norn rad and so forth.
That would be the Silver Surfer.
But his original origin storyas a good guy was Devil.
And what's fascinating aboutthis and Heart sickening at the same
time is we show, you know,Stan Lee saying that the Silver Surfer
(11:44):
was his philosophicalmouthpiece, the one who represents
Satan, the devil.
And so that sets us up reallyfor the next clip, Bob, because in
the next clip, we see a storythat was written by Stan Lee himself,
and it's called God Woke.
And what's interesting aboutthis is that he turned this into
(12:07):
a film.
This meant more to him thanany other comic.
And because he's showing forthhis philosophy.
And in this, you actually hearStan Lee narrating the story of God
Woke.
His voice back when he didthis on stage before a bunch of people,
one time they threw things athim because they realized it was
blasphemous toward God.
Well, guess what?
(12:28):
People are at a place wherethey wouldn't throw anything nowadays.
They'll just mock God rightalong with you sometimes.
And so people see that hebasically shows God as being indifferent
because he believed in God.
So someone say, oh, he's an atheist.
We show here, and from aninterview, we show that he had had,
or we referred to with a guythat ate lunch with him all the time,
a good friend.
He goes, oh, he believed in God.
(12:49):
He just believed that God wasnot perfect.
And here we show that God Woke.
God basically finds out thathe's the reason for all the problems
because he doesn't really careabout humanity.
Let's run that clip.
(13:12):
So what kind of message do youthink this is given to, you know,
not just the young generation, but their parents that are taking
them to see these movies and stuff?
Yeah, it's really popular inHollywood today to have sitcoms,
you know, movies wherecharacters that are considered beloved,
you know, hate God.
Or they say God, that Goddoesn't exist.
(13:34):
Or if there is a God, he'scontemptible, he's evil.
You know, so.
And atheists, a lot of them, you know, like Dawkins and others
will say, well, I don'tbelieve in God and so forth, but
they, it's kind of interesting.
They, they really hate someonethey don't believe in.
So Bible says they'resuppressing the knowledge of the
truth.
So Stan Lee is communicatinghere, which is really interesting.
You know, the idea that God is contemptible.
(13:56):
He's really not the hero ofthe story.
He's definitely not even onpar with the superheroes who care
about humanity on some level, you know, and it's basically saying
you can't find your hope in God.
You can't rely on him.
You need to rely on superheroes.
Or if you recognize thatthey're not really real, you can
rely on, you know, ourstorytelling because we have, you
(14:18):
know, encouraging stories andso forth.
But it leaves people, it's soseeds of hopelessness and despair
in the human heart.
Yeah, well, you know, yourseries discusses, you know, the agnostic
inversions basically that.
The idea that Hollywood andcomic book narratives just reverse
biblical truths, you know, making good seem evil, evil seem
(14:39):
good.
How, how does this conceptplay out in the storylines?
But why, why should Christiansbe paying attention to what's being
produced out in Hollywood like this?
Yeah, it's absolutely criticalthat we have a, you know, a biblical
worldview because when we lookat the scripture, we do see, you
(15:00):
know, God reveals.
I mean, we see creation, wesee God's power, we see the beauty
reflected in the things he's made.
It's.
It's absolutely mind bogglinghow beautiful God created this universe.
And even in its fallen statewhere there's entropy and death has
set in, you can still see thebeauty all around us.
But the biblical worldview isthat God created us with, you know,
(15:24):
some form of free moral agency.
We have libertarian free willwhere we can make choices between
good and evil.
And he created angelicentities with that same ability.
And many of them rebelled withGod and, and that Satan deceived
humanity through the serpent.
He can channel entities and so forth.
And what's interesting aboutthis is that that whole story gets
(15:46):
inverted in Gnosticism whereGod becomes evil, Yahweh the creator,
and Satan becomes theliberator in the form of Sophia,
who the Gnostics would teach.
And that was the greatestopponent of the early church in the
latter part of the first andthe second and the third century
was Gnosticism.
Who many of the Gnostics, Ithink Valentinians and many others
(16:06):
taught that the serpent wasthe good guy and that Satan or Sophia
channeled the serpent to letAdam and Eve know that they had a
spark of divinity within themfrom the ultimate death.
Who is really the true God,Not Yahweh, because Yahweh created
you, but he entrapped you inthe physical universe is evil.
And he had trapped you in this flesh.
And you got to be set freethrough the spark of divinity.
You know, that Sophia wascommunicating through the knowledge
(16:29):
of the tree of knowledge, goodand evil.
So everything got inverted.
Well, the crazy thing today is Satan.
Celeste Crowley would have thegnostic mass we've shown through.
They sold their souls for rockand roll.
Probably our most, definitelyour most popular video through the
years where he's influencedall these musicians, but he's also
influenced so many of thesecomic writers as we're seeing, and
many movie stars and directorsand producers and so forth.
(16:50):
That same message is going forth.
So in this next clip wereshowing, this is called Parable.
And this was, you know, whilethe Silver Surfer was his favorite
character, Parable, he said, was his favorite comic.
And in Parable, Stan Leeintroduced, you know, the Silver
Surfer is introduced intoParable as the hero again and everything's
(17:12):
inverted.
And in this, the clip they'regoing to see, and I'll just summarize
it so they just can followmore easily, is that, you know, there's
a preacher, he's, he's, he'san evil guy, you know, but then there's
Galactus who's going todestroy the world again.
And here comes Silver Surferto save the day.
And without giving, you know, saying everything that's going to
be, you know, coming up, justpay attention to this fact that the
(17:35):
very end, he becomes the herothe United nations wants to work
with him to be peace the world.
Sound familiar, Bob?
And then, yeah, Surfer talksabout how we all have the spark of
divinity within us, you know,so you don't really need Galactus
and so forth.
All right, let's, let's rollthe cliff.
(18:02):
So this is basically justfollow right along with the book
of revelation.
I mean, if you want to getdown to it, right.
That'd be a great way to sumit up.
Amen.
So the God, it's just so, tome, it's mind boggling that the evidence
is right there, you know.
(18:22):
Yeah.
And, and yet it's like, oh,let's, let's just promote it, give
it all these awards, draw moreattention to it and you know, things
like that.
With Marvel and DC stories sodeeply ingrained in pop culture today,
what practical steps canChristian parents take to protect
their kids from this subtlebut very dangerous spiritual messages
(18:45):
in These comics and in themovies, you know, how can families
engage with entertainmentwhile maintaining some sort of form
of discernment?
Yeah, that's the mostimportant question, Bob.
And you have a way of puttingyour finger on it.
So important to, like, how dowe deal this with our.
With our children?
Is.
And I can just speak from myown experience having a few children
(19:06):
and.
And they're all adults now,and two of them have given us some
grandchildren.
My son's yet to get married,he's the youngest.
But we brought.
And they all loved the Lord, and we brought them up in Christ.
And one thing I did, I didn'tshield them from knowing the truth
about these things.
I made them aware of whatGod's word says about good and evil.
(19:27):
The Bible says that thepriests, they failed the people more
than once.
It says it's in the OldTestament because they didn't make
a distinction between thatwhich was good and evil and evil.
And the Bible says those whoare in milk, and that's so many Christian
young people, they don't knowhow to discern between good and evil
because they're still on milkand not on the meat that's in.
And they're still babes.
And the author of Hebrews isrebuking the audience, saying, you
(19:50):
guys need to grow up and gobeyond the elementary things and
move on to maturity.
Because we don't want to be,as Paul says in Ephesians, chapter
four, like children who aretossed to and fro by every wind of
doctrine, by those who lie inwait to deceive.
So it's imperative that asChristians, we teach our children
the scripture, that we taketime out and spend time with them.
And now I know some of theparents, hearing me, they've got
(20:12):
older children and maybe theydid that.
And, you know, sometimes youcan train your children up in the
way they should go, and whenthey're older, they won't depart.
Typically, there's truths thatare like absolute in Proverbs, and
there's also truths that aregeneral, where there's.
Sometimes people can rebel against.
You know, God is obviouslyAdam and Eve were brought up by the
(20:32):
perfect parent and theyrebelled against God, you know, but
we train them up the way theyshould go.
But if they're older and theyhave our time communicating those
truths to them, you know, ourvideos, I mean, we have a ton of
clips that are free thatpeople go to the Good Fight site,
Good Fight Ministries onYouTube and show a lot of clips from
these comic.
They could.
They can also get the Videosthemselves that expose the truth
(20:53):
to these children.
That's what I did with my.
My children is I let them knowwhat was going on.
So the crazy thing is, mychildren, instead of.
Even though they weren'tinvolved in all this stuff, you know,
as they're growing up andthey're very young, and I have to
say, we thought the comicmovies, all those are pretty safe.
So we let them watch some ofthem for a while.
And then when I startedstudying, I'm like, whoa, what is
going on here?
(21:13):
You know, and my kids areolder, so they make their own choices
now, you know, but made themvery aware, and they're all aware
of what's going on in that genre.
But my point is, is that Iwould take my children from a young
age and share with them thetruth of what was going on and how
the spiritual warfare and manyof these artists in music or, you
know, you know, and so forthwith regard to comics and movies,
(21:35):
are involved in darkness andthe spirit world and being channeled
at times and.
And that made them more awarethan the cool kids or the people
in the world that think theyknow it all and they're into all
these different things and yougot to be hippy.
They're not.
No, they saw above that.
And instead of in wonderment, like, why shouldn't I be involved
in this?
They were aware because of this.
(21:56):
And I like that about.
In Proverbs, you know,Solomon, who's the wisest man in
the world of his time, right,he instructs his child, his son,
not to be involved in evil, but he paints these pictures of what's
going on in the streets.
Don't run with people thatshed blood.
And this is what happens with them.
You know, if you become adrunkard, this is what happens to
you.
If you go after prostitutesand it gives pictures of what that
(22:16):
looks like.
So I'm a strong advocate.
Satan uses pictures theopposite way.
Moving pictures, movies.
Here Jesus, he shows me thekings of the world in a moment's
time.
Well, as Christians, we havesomething even more powerful than
that.
We have the word of God, whichis sharp, which is stored, and we
got to use the armory and theweapons that God has given us.
So I'm a strong advocate ofinforming your children about this
(22:37):
warfare and actually not justletting them say, hey, this is going
on, but letting them know Godwants to use you as a soldier in
his kingdom to show forth thelight of Christ in the midst of this
darkness and not be involvedin this junk that would take you
away from God, but that youyourself would recognize that you
are beyond any of thesesuperheroes because they're not real.
(22:58):
And God wants to use you tosnatch people out of the fire, and
he wants to use you as one ofhis heroes by pointing to the open
hero, Jesus Christ.
And by the way, share withyour children.
These things are fictitiousbecause people, man, I'm telling
you, you've heard the discussions.
You're being elevated.
You hear, you know, grown menargued about which superhero is the
greatest.
And I'm like, yeah, you know,do you guys even realize that these
(23:18):
guys didn't really exist?
Not Spider man, not Batman, not Superman, not all these superheroes.
But, you know, they don't have a.
Jesus has the true origin story.
He's from Everlasting.
He's too Everlasting.
He was born in Bethlehem.
We are Western calendarcalendars, you know, based on BC
And AD all around his birth inthe Western world.
(23:39):
And he lives.
And he's a king of kings andLord lords.
And get them excited about Jesus.
Make sure they're in fellowship.
Make sure you're praying with them.
Make sure you're loving on them.
Yeah, that's.
What kind of feedback are youreceiving from your latest installment
on this series?
I'm sorry, what kind offeedback have we been receiving from
your latest installment?
Oh, there's been a lot ofexcitement, and we thought because
(24:01):
we weren't covering you, justrecover Stan Lee.
So we thought after the firsttwo, which hit really hard, people
really appreciated.
I thought, because it's onStan Lee, I wasn't sure how well
it would do as far as reception.
I knew when people saw it,they'd be stunned because of what
we've got there, you know, butbecause Stan Lee is the iconic figure
of the marvel of MarvelEntertainment, and that's the biggest
(24:21):
genre movie genre in the worldnow, it's been pretty stunning because
it's moved like the first two, which is really good because people
want to be aware.
And I can't tell you, man, howmany people that we have that are
involved in our ministry.
Many, because we expose, youknow, first and foremost, we preach
the gospel, but because ofthey sold their souls for rock and
(24:41):
roll and Hollywood's war onGod, these things.
But now so many people havebecome part of our ministry and are
getting the truth out becausethey were so bound by a lot of the
philosophies and thedeceptions that they were being communicated
to them and their families through.
Through a lot of these popularcomic figures.
Yeah.
Amen.
Amen.
Well, Pastor, this has been so interesting.
(25:01):
The work that you and yourteam are doing is truly needful for
sure in this day and time.
And I've got the link so folkscan watch the trailers and the, the,
the all this information.
It just watch the documentaryitself, Praise God, as well as all
the others.
But if anyone has anyquestions or they'd like to reach
out to you, how can they do that?
(25:22):
What's the best way to get intouch with you?
Oh, they can simply go to agood fight.org and, you know, write
into us there or ask, youknow, go there and they can see all
these things we make availableor to Good fight ministries on YouTube.
They can see, you know, several shows that we do, a couple
podcast, cast a weekend.
My I'm a preacher.
I'm a pastor, pastor churchhere in Simi Valley, California.
(25:43):
And I've been pastoring herefor, well, it's the only church I've
ever started since I was 26years old.
And you can tell that's been awhile because I'm looking more ancient
now.
You know, you're at least 30,so at least.
Yeah.
So we're right here.
Steamy Valley, California.
And, and so if people, youknow, want to tune into it or they
want to drive by and visit andthe fellowship, they're not far away.
(26:04):
That'd be great, too.
Amen.
Well, folks, as you heard,Marvel and DC superheroes have captivated
millions.
But what if there's morebeneath the surface?
I mean, Stan Lee, God and theDevil, the latest installment in
Marvel and DC's War on Godseries, uncovers how these stories
just distort biblical truth, exalt false gods, subtly reframe
(26:30):
Satan as a hero.
I mean, don't let pop cultureshape your faith, folks.
Watch now.
Go to marveldcexposed.comEquip yourself with biblical discernment.
Praise God.
Hey, man, that linkmarveldcexposed.com and I'll have

Pastor Joe, it is always ablessing to have you come on the
(26:53):
program and be able toreconnect with you and catch up on
all the awesome work thatyou're doing.
I do appreciate your time, brother.
