Welcome to Revelation Warning,a weekly podcast hosted by Pastor
Robert Thibodeau as heinterviews prophecy experts from
around the world as we discusscurrent events in relation to Bible
prophecy.
All of this is to give theworld a final Revelation Warning.
Now, here is your host withthis week's guest, Pastor Robert
(00:29):
Thibodeau.
Foreign.
Hello, everyone, everywhere.
Pastor Robert Thibodeau here.
Welcome to the RevelationWarning podcast.
We are so blessed that you'rejoining us here today.
What if I told you thathumanity's first ever great attempt
(00:53):
at unity and did not intriumph, but in confusion and scattering?
What am I talking about?
We know it as the Tower of Babel.
The story of the Tower ofBabel isn't just a relic of ancient
history.
It's a powerful warning thatechoes into our modern world today
as well.
Why did God intervene whenhumanity sought to build something
(01:16):
so monumental together?
Was it simply a tower, or wasit something far more sophisticated,
something that threatened toactually pull mankind beyond God's
divine plan?
Well, today we're going tolook at how the lessons of the Tower
of Babel may have a startlingrevelation for us right now.
Amen.
(01:36):
Right here in our modern time,as we are standing on the brink of
basically technological andsociety advancements that could be
leading us straight into theend times.
Is that right?
Well, to help us find out theanswers to these questions, Scott
Wright, author of the GodCentered Concept Journal and host
of the God Centered Concept Podcast.
He's back with us again today.
(01:56):
Scott is a respected teacheron biblical prophecy and the end
times.
His insights into Bibleprophecy help us to understand that
the end times are bothprofound and timely.
Amen.
Help me.
Welcome back to the program,Scott Rice.
Scott, it's a blessing to haveyou back again, my brother.
Hey, great to be back and lookforward to another fun and fruitful
(02:17):
discussion.
Amen.
So we're all familiar with thestory of the Tower of Babel, but
what really happened at theTower of Babel?
And why did God see the needto intervene in such a dramatic way?
You know, I got one phrase,God's timing.
Yeah, it's all about God's timing.
And had God left them alone, Iwant you to think about this.
(02:41):
They would have very quicklycreated a world like we have now.
Wouldn't have taken thembecause they would have had the collection
of all the.
The thinking and abilities ofall the people of the world, speaking
one language and being able to cooperate.
And, I mean, think about howquickly they were able to progress
(03:02):
together.
They would have easilyprogressed to other things.
And they would have, theywould have been able to technologically
advance very rapidly, but itwas going to create a very dangerous
situation and it was really adanger to themselves and they didn't
even realize it.
So.
Amen.
I think that God had to, hadto put a stop to that for a reason.
(03:27):
He had to, he had to do that.
And I'll just tell you the reason.
It's Jesus Christ.
See much.
Just like in the Garden ofEden, the reason God had to get Adam
and Eve out of the Garden isso they wouldn't have eaten from
the tree of Life and becameeternal without Christ.
We need Christ before webecome eternal.
(03:48):
You know, Christ needs to bethe one that leads us into that eternal
and same thing here.
These people would have becomeadvanced like this without Christ.
Well, we had already seen theworld once.
God had already seen the world once.
What happened without Christ?
He had already seen what hehad to do to people.
He had to destroy them.
He had to destroy mankind andall the nephilim and, and all the
(04:11):
things that were happening.
Well, without Christ.
Yeah.
Without Christ.
Yeah.
I just think, though, why doyou think humanity, unity and cooperation
were considered dangerous inthat context?
What does that tell us aboutGod's plan for us today?
(04:32):
Well, basically, when man isdoing things apart from God's will
and without Christ, it'salways going to lead them in a direction
away from him.
It's always going to take themoutside of God's will and away from
God's plan.
And God's plan for humanitybefore they became this advanced
(04:56):
was to put Christ in, in theintermix of that.
Christ had to mix in with thatand bring us the gospel to save us.
We couldn't do it on our own.
So what man would have beendoing is trying to reach God, which
is kind of what they weredoing with the tower.
And in all their ways becomemore godlike and do it without Christ.
(05:17):
And that is not God's plan.
Salvation could not happenwithout Jesus Christ, without his
blood.
Amen.
Amen.
You know, in our modern worldwith computers and all that, you
know, with the advancements inAI, artificial intelligence, global
connectivity and spaceexploration, do you see parallels
to the ambitions of the peopleat Babel?
(05:40):
Absolutely.
I mean, think about howadvanced they became.
And I'm going to give a goodexample of this.
So the people groups of theworld were all gathered in one place.
So, and, and there's been somespeculation that some of these peoples
were kind of already scatteredaround the one continent that it
(06:00):
seems that existed then.
It Wasn't all the differentcontinents yet and didn't split apart
till after that.
But most of the people werethere, and at least everybody that
was within a certain type oftribe was all there.
Now, I want you to think about this.
What is the United States?
It's the great melting pot.
(06:21):
We have peoples from everytongue, tribe and nation almost right
here in the United States.
Think about the advancement ofthe United states since about 1830.
In 200 years, I want you tojust literally see what the America's
(06:41):
become.
Because in 1830, we were not aworld superpower.
We were a fledgling.
We.
I mean, we just weren't.
We just weren't there yet.
And within 60 years, 50 to 60years, America became the world's
superpower.
And think about itcollectively, all those people groups
(07:05):
with freedom to think and doand to build the way that they did,
the way that we did this, isthat our society was set up that
people could do that.
You know, they weren't being.
They weren't being controlled anymore.
And when you see all thesepeople groups with all these different
ideas come together, this iswhat you get.
(07:27):
Well, what was.
What could have happenedeasily at the Tower of Babel, they
were already doing it.
They were showing that whenthey were just free to make all their
own decisions and free to worktogether in unity like that, all
these different things thatthey were coming up with, and my
guess is as a Tower of Babelwas not the only thing they had come
up with.
Right.
They were going in all kindsof different directions.
(07:47):
This is what happens, is thatthe advancements explode.
The United States became theUnited States because of that very
same thing that was happeningat the Tower of Babel.
And.
And so we are a good exampleof what would have happened.
But what we have now and whatwe already had in place was the church
(08:10):
through the message of theGospel of Jesus Christ, they did
not have that yet.
Amen.
Amen.
You know, at the time of thisrecording, we just seen President
Trump and the leaders of AIannounce that joint collaborative
effort called Stargate.
And this is being touted asthe AI system that's going to do
all of this amazing stuff.
(08:32):
You know, and I immediatelythought about the Antichrist system
that has to be in place forthis governing authority.
What are your thoughts on that?
Well, here's what I think we've.
We've been watching.
I mean, not getting intopolitics too deeply here, but we've
been watching the last fouryears of a very corrupt government.
(08:55):
We've been watching it for along time.
It's not just the last four years.
Right.
But we've been watching thishurl itself, and not just in the
United States, but across the globe.
People are growing weary ofcorrupt governments.
They are.
And so at what point arepeople going to turn to AI to govern
(09:17):
them because they're tired ofthe corruption of man and man trying
to lord itself over them.
And, you know, now it's.
Governments are trying.
What they try to do is theywant to control you, but they have
to paint the picture thatthey're protecting your rights.
Yeah, they have to protect.
They have to act like they'regiving you freedom, and yet they
(09:39):
slowly can strip it away.
And so what I.
What I see happening movingforward, and we've talked about this
a little bit already in theshow when we talked about AI, and
it's this right here, and thisis the big one, is that you cannot
do anything apart from thewill of God and have something else
(10:01):
govern you other than God's spirit.
And it turn out in a way thatwill perpetuate Christ and bring
real peace and unity.
You can't do it, whether it'sindividually or collectively, as
a.
As a big group or just, youknow, as an individual person.
But here's the thing.
This AI, it's almost like it'sstarting to become that thing.
(10:24):
And it's.
There's in.
There's already lots ofexamples of this where they're trying
to use it to replace, almostreplace what God is to us.
I mean, it's almost likethey're making AI the God.
Yep.
And, you know, you see storiesand read stories or hear, you know,
(10:44):
theories about how it couldadvance to the point where it will
start to defend itself ifsomeone tries to go in and slow it
down, shut it down, reprogramit, you know, and Terminator 3.
Yeah, exactly.
You know, Skynet, I mean, wegot Stargate, Skynet, those.
(11:05):
Yeah.
You know, oh, my gosh, I've.
I've tried to sit here andthink about that.
Skynet.
Yep, exactly.
I mean, that's.
That's the.
The thoughts that were goingthrough my head as they were announcing
this, you know, and I waslike, this is not good.
They make it.
They dress it up, you know, but, you know, it's like now I use
(11:28):
AI I have chat GBT to, youknow, I need the answer to something
real quick.
I'll go in and ask type thing.
And it seems to be a lot, alot faster than Google is on.
On this stuff.
You know, it used to be, youknow, I Google it like, you heard
me tell the story about how I,you know, started my broadcasting
career on a flip cell phoneand a free website.
(11:48):
Had no idea how to do it.
So I went to the great savior,Google, to figure it out.
Now it'd be chat GPT Y.
But, you know, and.
And I mean, I interviewed one guy.
I can't.
I can't.
Oh, Lord.
I can't remember the name ofit, but it was a.
The first prototype of asentient AI, right, that he developed.
(12:15):
And I can't remember the nameof it right now.
Good Lord.
But I mean, it was weird, youknow, and you'd ask this thing, and
he had it, that it had.
It was developed where itwould look like a female, you know,
face on the computer and stuff.
And.
And, you know, you'd ask aquestion that.
That was trying to trick itinto condemning itself.
(12:40):
You know, a question maybealong the lines of, you know, could
you advance to the pointwhere, you know, you would try to
defend yourself by hurtingother human beings?
And this thing would get afrown on its face, you know, like,
my programming does not allowthat, you know, or something like
that.
You know, I mean, but I mean,it was like it was getting, you know,
ticked off at you for evenasking that kind of question.
(13:05):
I was like.
And that was the first prototype.
This is like several yearsago, probably three years ago or
more.
And I was like, man, this is weird.
This is weird stuff.
You remember the show Personsof Interest?
Yep.
Yep.
Amen.
That was a good show.
I liked it.
And there's some validity towhat we're talking about.
(13:27):
That compared to that.
Yeah.
In that type of thinking.
Yep.
The preemptive, you know, weheard stories about, you know, oh,
he's.
He's going down the path wherehe's going to commit a crime, so
we better intercede now andstop it before a crime is committed.
And the charges were like, youthought about doing it.
I mean.
(13:49):
Remember the movie?
There have been people I workfor, bosses I worked for, that.
That would have had to intercede.
There was a movie there.
Yeah, yeah.
Don't you remember?
There was a movie with TomCruise in it.
And.
Yeah, yeah, the.
I still remember all that.
(14:10):
The.
I'm trying to think.
There's a guy that does a lotof Christian movies now that was
in that, too, and I forgot his name.
And he played the cop.
That was Jason.
Yeah.
Amen.
Amen.
Well, do you believe thattoday's push for one world government
or global unity could mirrorthe effects of the Tower of Babel
(14:30):
and if so, what should bewatching, what should believers be
watching out for?
Could it.
I think it already is.
I mean, look at the, the Towerof Babel's already been built again.
It's called in Dubai.
Go look at that.
Go look at the talleststructure in the world.
These, these things arealready being put in place.
(14:52):
I mean, we've got theAbrahamic Accords that are bringing
the world to unity and gettingIsrael to a piece.
You've got.
And think of the major playersthere that are involved.
And now that Iran's beingsilenced and Hamas and, and Hezbollah
are all being basically putdown, is that going to open the door
(15:16):
for Saudi Arabia to normalizerelations with Israel?
Because if they do, that's theMiddle East, Saudi Arabia and quite
frankly, Dubai.
I mean, excuse me, UAE or Dubai.
You know, Dubai's in the uae.
Yeah.
Those two countries areexcessively powerful in that region.
They are.
(15:36):
Because of their, of theirfinancial status.
Yeah.
And they have goodrelationship relations with the United
States, both of those countries.
So if you get those two onboard, which they've already got
one, you get the second one on board.
That is going to, that's goingto open a pathway, I believe, that
(15:59):
gets basically the parts ofrevelation where we have this, the
peace, or at least the false piece.
It's going to open the doorfor all that to happen.
So we're, I think we're goingto see, I, I would not be shocked
by the end of Trump's termthat Saudi Arabia has not normalized
and joined the Abrahamic Accords.
They don't normalize those relations.
(16:20):
So, I mean, even Biden waspushing for that.
Yeah.
And that was part of why Iranbacked Hezbollah and Hamas to do
what they did.
So.
But now, and what's funny isthat's, now that's came to an end.
I mean, we seen the ceasefireand I guess Iran decided that they
(16:40):
didn't want to take on Trump.
So it reminded me of the Iranhostage scandal.
I mean, when Reagan's comingto office, they were like, we better
release these prisoners or wemay not like what's coming next.
That's right.
Our, our rule may be at an end.
So.
Amen.
I had a feeling that somethingwas probably communicated under the
(17:03):
table, that Carter and Reaganprobably use that to, you know, hey,
you can deal with it now oryou can deal with this guy over here
who's going to put about 50bombs in your living room.
So you have a choice.
Yeah, but it's, it happens now.
So I, I would imaginesomething was going on there behind
(17:25):
the scenes.
Yeah.
I would not be shocked if theydidn't use the same type of tactics
Biden and Trump did.
Oh, absolutely, absolutely.
And you will never know.
They're not going to come outand say all that.
I remember, I think it wasTrump, I can't remember now, his
first session where they werenegotiating with the leader of the
(17:49):
terrorist organization aboutreleasing these people or the.
Or doing what may have beennegotiations in Afghanistan or something
like that.
And this guy wasn't gonna do.
Nope, nope, nope.
So they went over and they.
They showed, you know, this iswhat's going to happen.
And I showed him a picture.
He goes, why are you showingme a picture of my house?
(18:10):
He says, think about it.
And suddenly they had thispeace deal.
I mean, hey, that's.
That's the gospel.
Luke, chapter 14.
Yeah.
Amen talks about that, so.
(18:32):
Amen.
Amen.
Well, Scott, as usual, thiswas so interesting.
How can someone reach out toyou with questions?
They want to get moreinformation, maybe invite you to
an interview such as this?
You bet.
God centered concept@2038gmail.com.
So GCC God centeredconcept2038gmail.com and it's the
(18:55):
number 2038.
Not.
Not writing it out.
So, yeah, we need to go overthat again.
That's been probably a year orso since we talked about what.
Maybe more that.
Talk about what that 2038stands for.
Sure.
Maybe we do that here on thenext one.
Yeah.
Amen.
Amen.
Just to refresh everyone'smemory because it's been such a long
time, we got new listeners andpeople probably won't be able to
(19:17):
find that episode because itwas so far back.
So we just refresh that to thetop because that day and time is
rapidly approaching.
It is.
It definitely is.
So.
Well, man.
Hey, this has been a great discussion.
The Tower babble.
You know, I think people.
The thing is that just look,it's almost like the same phrase.
(19:38):
As it was in the days of Noah.
Yeah.
As it was in the days of thebuilding of the Tower of Babel.
And people.
People are a restless group.
Human beings are restless and they're.
We're always trying toprogress and grow.
The thing is, is that I likethe Jurassic park phrase.
(20:00):
They were so preoccupied ifthey could.
They didn't stop and think ifthey should.
And part of that should is.
Is are we bowing to God andasking him what his will is?
Yeah.
You know, and we have to.
We have to remember that.
Amen.
Amen.
Well, folks, I can't emphasizeenough how important it is for you
(20:21):
to realize, you know, we'reliving right now and what the Bible
calls the last of the last days.
So these are the days thathave been prophesied as the end times
and they're here right now.
