Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast, from Cinderella moments,
to becoming grandparents for the first time, to experiencing heartache
(00:27):
and healing from above. It's the variety of callers and
stories that make this such a special place to share
with you each day. Welcome to Hey it's Delilah. Hello,
good evening. You've called the Delilah Show. Who is this Hi?
Speaker 2 (00:47):
This is Bradley.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
Bradley Welcome. What can I do for you?
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Delilah. I'm a first time caller and a longtime listener,
and I've been having a really hard time over the
last week. I haven't heard any dedications like mine. If
they've been there, I've dismissed them. But I lost my
little baby boy, my dash hound, who was the light
(01:13):
of my life and was my heart and soul. And
I lost the Sunday before yesterday, and I've just been
having a really hard time and I was wondering I
miss him dearly. I love him without my heart. I'll
never forget him. I'm getting better each day, but I
know it's a long road and I'm just hoping that
(01:37):
with time and with God's grace and love, he will
help me and help heal my heart and help feel
the void that I have right now. And I'm just
I know he's up in heaven right now with my
dad and probably setting on his lap having a field day.
(01:57):
I know I'll see him again, but I dismiss him terribly,
and I was hoping that maybe you could play dedication
to his name was Sammy?
Speaker 1 (02:07):
How old was Sammy?
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Sammy would have been twelve years old last excuse me,
next month in September. He was just the light of
my life and we hadn't been apart, really. He was
stuck to me like glue. We were a team. He
was just my world and helped me through many tough
times and trials and tribulations and gave me probably more
(02:34):
love and devotion than I probably could have ever given back.
And I didn't even realize that. I just missed him terribly.
And I really don't know what to say other.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Than that you don't have to say anything. I strive
to be the kind of person that my dog thinks
I am. My dog is so devoted to me and
thinks I'm the sun and the moon and the stars,
and I will never live up to that, but I
try to be that kind of person because I love
(03:05):
my dog and I can hear in your voice that
this wasn't just a companion. This was your baby.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Oh he was. He was my baby boy, my heart
and soul. He was. We could connect and communicate just
by looking into each other's eyes. He was the most loving, devoted.
You couldn't have asked for a better dog or a
better companion. He wasn't difficult. He was a family member lost.
(03:32):
I lost the peace of my heart eight days ago,
and I'm just helping. With God's grace, it will heal
and I'll be able to move on.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Your heart will heal, but there will always be a
huge part of it that belongs to your puppy. So
let me play a song for you. Thank you for calling,
and I'm so sorry.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Thank you so much. Thank you for your words of wisdom,
your compassion, and your sympathy. It means the world to
thank you.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Tyler. Welcome. What can I do for you?
Speaker 3 (04:10):
I was actually just sorting to see if maybe you
could play a song for my girlfriend.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
What is your honey's name, Jenna, and what do you
want to tell the world about Jenna Tyler.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Well, I mean, this girl is like I'm only twenty
four years old and this girl is possibly I mean,
I know it's probably early for me to say this
in my life, but she's probably one of the greatest
people I've ever met my entire life. Beside from my family.
She's been with me through a lot of tough times
that I've had over the past couple of months that
(04:47):
we've been together.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
So you're you're at that stage where you can't sleep, well,
you can't stop grinning. You check your phone every thirty
seconds to see the little memes she sent you with
the little pictures he sent you because you're so stupid
at over heels in love.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
Yeah, And it seems like even though I've been with
her for so long, I'm still feel like I'm in
that honeymoon faith.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Oh, it's not been that long, honey, you're just very young.
Let me play a sweet song for you too. You
have a wonderful night, and thank you for letting me
be a part of your romance. Thank Youah, all right,
bye bye, honey, Hello, good evening. You've called the Delilah Show.
(05:39):
Who is this? This is Diane, What can I do
for you?
Speaker 4 (05:45):
I love your show and my wonderful husband, Kenneth. He's
just the love of my life. We were together for
seven years and then we got married almost a year ago.
He was married before thirty years ago, and he said
he would never get married again. That he did and
(06:06):
I'm so glad he did.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
So how did you meet, Kenneth And how did did
you break through his heart so that he would decide
to marry again.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
I actually met him at a bar I owned, and
I had another full time job. I owned that bar
with my ex husband, and we just got to talk.
And his first marriage was just very traumatic. He lost
his kids and anyway, and then he moved here to
(06:39):
help his dad with a disabled brother, Scott, and a
fire swept through and just took out everything, and he
lost everything and we were just we just got to talk.
And then it was his birthday. That was our first date.
I mean, it was a group of us and he
(07:00):
went home with me and he never.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Left the longest date ever.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
I never wanted him to leave.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Huh. All right, I will play that song for you too,
And I'm glad you found the person that completes you.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
Oh he does. He's my soul mate for sure.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
You have a good night. Thank you for calling.
Speaker 4 (07:22):

Speaker 5 (07:41):
I was wondering if you could play a song for
my new fiance. His name is Griffin. He just proposed
a few days ago.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
All right, how did Griffin pop the question?
Speaker 5 (07:54):
He asked me at our favorite restaurant?
Speaker 1 (07:57):
And did he did he get down on one knee
in front of everybody and ask the question?
Speaker 5 (08:02):
Yeah, he did. And then he completely surprised me with
all of our friends fuck at our friend's house.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
So he had this all planned out. Did you have
any idea? Were you totally shocked?
Speaker 5 (08:15):
I was really shocked. I was really surprised. He did
a great job.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
And have we set a date or are we still
in the early stages of figuring out the rest of
your life?
Speaker 5 (08:26):
We're still in the early stages, but we're really trying
for this summer coming up.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
All right, tell me how much you loved this young man?
Speaker 5 (08:34):
Oh? I love him more than anything. He's a loved
my life. He's so perfect, and he's so patient, and
he's just everything I could ask for.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
And do you think that you round out his list
of everything he asked God for when he met you.
Speaker 5 (08:51):
I would think so. I think so. He's in the
car with me now too.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
Hi Griffin, congratulations, Thank you very much. I will play
a sweet song for you too, and I pray that
