Hey Lifers,

Today’s episode is a little bit of a gear change from our regular guest episodes. Britt got to interview some of the most amazing and famous women in the world! There’s a new Ryan Murphy series called “All’s Fair” out on Disney+/Hulu and our Britt was asked to interview all 5 of the leading ladies Kim Kardashian, Glenn Close, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash & Sarah Paulson.

Britt asks about working with other women and being ‘aged out’ in Hollywood. They speak about working alongside each other, what red flags Kim Kardashian now has when it comes to romance and which of them would be most likely to end up being arrested. Also, something Britt can now add to her resume is being called a c*nt by Naomi Watts and Sarah Paulson 😂😂

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Hi, guys, and welcome back to another episode of Life
on Cut.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
I'm Brittany and I'm Kisha.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
But I'm not going to be here for long because
this is a little bit of a different guest episode
that we would usually drop on Friday.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Yeah, this is something we haven't done before, a little
bit different, but basically I'm best friends with Kim Kardashian now,
so so she deserves her spot on the podcast.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Yeah, some of you might have heard last week where
we sat down with Ryan John Dunn and britt kind
of left not even just a little bit of a
bread crumb. She just said, like, oh, I actually was
meant to be interviewing Kim Kardashian tonight, but plans kind
of changed. But then it all kind of ended up happening,
And oh yeah, can you talk us through the behind
the scenes of like what this is, how it came about,

(00:53):
and how it ended up going.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
It has been a wild rite.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
I was in Italy with Ben and if you guys
have seen on my Instagram posted a video where I
was like, guys, I just got asked to interview the
biggest person in the world. So Disney, as in like
Disney Plus called me and asked if I would be
free and keen to do these these huge interviews. So
basically Ryan Murphy, who we've spoken about the podcast before.
He is the creator of All the Monsters and Jeffrey

(01:17):
Dharmar and all of those shows. He has a brand
new TV series called All's Fair that has come out
on Disney Plus and Hulou. And this is like Kim
Kardashian's first lead as an actor in a series, because
Kim's an actor now. She did American Horror Story. She's done. Actually,
Kim's actually an actor now? Or what is she like?

Speaker 2 (01:37):
What doesn't that woman is like a lawyer.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
There isn't much that she doesn't do. A billionaire, a mile,
I guess you can be these things. She's amazing. Yeah,
so it's got this incredible car. So the leads are
Kim Kardashian icon Glenn Close, like Glenn Close. If you
guys don't know who she is, you're probably a younger
listener that maybe I don't know, maybe haven't seen anything
that she's been in, but most of you would know.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Like we grew up with her being.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
An integral part of Hollywood. She was one of those
people that were like Oh, you're just an amazing actor
that's gonna have all these awards. So Glenn close nameI
what's Australian? Sarah Paulson, also an incredible actor, and Nissi
Nashbetz who is also incredible, like all of these women anyway,
So it's these five powerhouse.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Women that are lawyers. And they sent me.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
The cast list and they said do you want to
interview them? And I nearly keeled over. I was like, sorry,
what I was like little me? I was like me
prettany from Paul McQuary. They were like, yeah, do you
think you'd be free? So I was like, obviously played
a cool. I was like, let me check my schedule.
I find that.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
I was like, I'm just gonna check my schedule and
clear some stuff. Anyway, my age and a list.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
I was like, lock that in and I know that
I've been talking about it the last week or two. Unfortunately,
and I think I couldn't say that it wasn't on
the podcast. I couldn't say what it was for. But
it's not a podcast interview. So we didn't get Kim
Kardashian to come and sit down with Life Uncut, although
I tried and that would be the dream. But I
did have the opportunity to interview these people, so we thought,

(03:07):
of course, we're going to put that on the podcast.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Like this is for me. I don't know if I'm hormonal.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
This was just this.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
I'm like when you just say little old me, it's
actually so true.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
I was sitting down and they were like, Kim will
be here in three two, and I was like, wait's
like this happened. Kim cut actually knows my name.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
I was like, what is my life?

Speaker 1 (03:28):
And I had this moment where I was like, wow,
I'm so lucky and I said that to somebody in
the team and I said, wow, I'm so lucky, like
thank you for having me here.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
And they were like lucky. They're like, you've been interviewing
for six years, and.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
There's a part of you that's like, oh, I should
actually pretend that I'm used to doing this.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
They're like, this is something.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
That I'm really comfortable with.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Well, I am comfortable with it, but I still felt
really lucky that I got asked to do it.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
But something that they said was really cool. They were like,
you've been doing this for six years.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
You have done hundreds of interviews and I thought.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Wow, you know what I have.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
It's like, yes, it's lucky that they asked me, but
also luck comes from preparation and opportunity. So like, I've
done this for a long time, but I just it's
so easy to sweep that under the rug.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
And it's also easy to.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Stop and actually smell the roses and like congratulate yourself
for certain professional achievements. And I know that we're all
so guilty of doing that because you know, you just
everything just moves so quickly, especially in content world, and
things kind of opportunities come, and like if you don't
snap it up in that moment, sometimes you can feel
as though it's it's going to be lost. And that
almost did happen because there was a time where you
were going to fly to La Yeah, and then plans

(04:32):
kind of like it was ary on the nose. You
were like, I don't know, I could be flying out tonight.
I'm not really sure what's happening.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Yeah, So originally I was flying out to the premiere
and I was going to do premie over in LA
and I was going to do all the interviews live,
which was amazing, but I did have to change a
lot of work around to do that, like that's a
whole nother thing, which is fine. I was working it out,
but Kim wasn't able to lock in if she was
going to be able to do it with her schedule
until just before. So it was like, Kim's in, Kim's

(05:00):
not in, We're unsure of Kim's in. Kim's in, and
I was like, wow, like this is hectic. I was
changing so many interviews. I was trying to organize teddy swims,
so I was like, oh my god. Anyway, so basically
I said, hey, look, I won't fly over. Yeah, and
let's just see and if they lock in, they lock in,
and then I'll just do it here with the setup.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
And part of me is now I was.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Like, fuck, she'd just flown over, man, Like imagine I
would have hugged her, oh, touched her, I don't.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Know, secured you, but you ended up kind of all.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
I remember it was hearing from you was saying that
because it was actually a weekend that you were looking
after my dog, and you were like, I was like,
Bonny's gone to the pound, she's gone back. I've got
to go at like four o'clock in the morning, you know,
obviously we've got times and differences, and it was on
like a Saturday morning or something super random, and it
all ended up eventuating and I got a text from

(05:52):
you at like six point thirty going it was great.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Yeah, So I did it all here and I got
to interview all of them, which was really really cool,
and it was you know what, it was weird because
I was so excited, And I think it's because these
women not only is somebody like I've always wanted to act, right,
I've always wanted to be in entertainment since I was
a teenager. And being able to just be in the

(06:18):
presence of these women that are just such incredible actors
like this has got nothing to do with Kim Kardashian
being the most famous person, Like the Glenn Closes and
the Naomi Watts and Sarah Paulson's, like these people have
just achieved so much in their life and they're very inspirational,
especially someone like Naomi. Naomi talks a lot about it
wasn't actually easy for her, Like it wasn't something that

(06:39):
she just spelling to really young and that got handed things.
She nearly quit, she actually really quit until Ryan Murphy
He's put her in like five of his projects, and
she's like, Wow, everyone tells you that you're going to
get aged out. And her career started a little bit later,
Like her career has taken off since she started talking
about menopause really openly and all of these things, and
I think that's cool. But yeah, there was a moment

(06:59):
where I was like, Wow, I can't believe I get
to do this. This is like a dream, this is
a bucket list. These are the biggest interviews I've ever done,
and what I found really interesting. And I felt that
way about Kim Kardashian as well, but obviously not from
her acting career. She's new from the fact that she
is one of the biggest, most famous, well known people
in the world, Like she just is right, and she's

(07:19):
one of those people that I don't think there's anyone
reported on in the news or social or culturally as
much as the Kardashians. And so that was really cool
where I was like, Wow, I'm going to get to
sit and talk to her. And then the really interesting
thing is is that I didn't feel nervous, which was interesting.
And then at the end of it, I just felt

(07:42):
like I had spoken half an hour with my friends,
and I walked away and I thought, wow, this is
just a reminder they're just people, and they're all incredible people,
but they're just.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
People.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
They're just people that have incredible jobs and are really
beautiful and filthy, rich and very successful, exactly.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
The same as us.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
But you, I guess you forget that. Like, they just
seemed very normal.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
They were all really really likable and really kind.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
And sometimes they also have potty mouths on them.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Oh they So.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
The way that this is going to work is that
Britt initially sat down with Naomi Watson Sarah Paulson, and
the start of that interview was very, very funny. And
then the second half of this is Kim Kardashi and
Glenn Close and Nisi Nash shitting down and being interviewed
by you as well.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
What I will say is I've never been spoken to
like that in my life.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
So the partner won't quite make sense.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Is that the two of them were talking about a
particular thing, and as Brick kind of clopped into the interview,
that audio came through.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
That's how it starts, and you thought you got called
a seabum. The first word they said to me was
can't have a listen?

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Oh Hi, can't Hi?

Speaker 1 (08:55):
How we greet each other? All right, it's been a while.
It's so nice to meet you. Hello.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
Sorry, what she knows? What I meant was country living
is so nice.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
I was going to say, it's so great to come
to you guys from another country as well, So thank
you for having me. We've been told not to use
that word, but we're in a word. But yeah, I mean,
what since Sarah Paulson, It's an absolute pleasure despite what
you just called me. What what initially drew you to
this project? I saw the trailer and I am just

(09:26):
thrilled for you guys. I want to be another attorney
in there. I'm hook Line and sinker. What excited you
the most?

Speaker 4 (09:33):
I mean the people.

Speaker 5 (09:34):
I mean, Ryan calls us and we say yeah, just
say yes. It just happened instantaneously, unless you're dumb, which
neither one of us are and no one is also
on the show. And also just the lineup of women,
and then an opportunity to tell the stories of women
of a certain age at a particular time in their
lives where they have a lot of wisdom to offer

(09:55):
and empathy and also strength and you know, they things, just.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
How many cocktails have you ladies today? Zero? Zero?

Speaker 5 (10:12):
It's called We've been doing this all day, and so
now we're like, yeah, hello.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
Well women supporting women is obviously a really key theme
to All's Fair. In your life, has there ever been
this crucial, critical, instrumental moment with a woman that has
lifted you up, that's changed the situation you're in or
changed the course of your life.

Speaker 6 (10:34):
I mean, I feel like I've had that at every
point in my life. Women have saved me over and
over again. I surround myself with women. I don't understand
women that don't have women friends, and there are some
out there, and I have women who are not just
there to hold my hand, but to challenge me and
you know, help me rise up. And you know, I
think it comes from having strong women raise me at

(10:58):
starting with my mom, who like Fierce and I actually
have as a result, been one to try and take
up less space because I've grown up watching this larger
than live character. But my grandmother also the matriarch of
our family, and my mum has two sisters, so I've
always been drawn to strong, intelligent women throughout my life

(11:19):
who've definitely helped me.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
I was just about to say, what about you, Sarah.

Speaker 5 (11:24):
I've been saved again and again and again by my
female friends, and I feel really blessed to have friendships
that have lasted thirty thirty five years. One of my
best friends since I'm eleven years old was at the
premiere last night.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
You know who has children of her own?

Speaker 4 (11:38):
Now, who's you know?

Speaker 5 (11:39):
Still one of my absolute closest friends. So I've just
been very, very lucky that way, and I know how
lucky it is. And also I'm friends with actresses. I really,
I really don't believe in this hyper competitive notion or
idea that those things can't exist. I mean, I have
one friend who we've been friends for twenty five years,

(12:00):
have absolutely had moments of difficulty or competitiveness or jealousy
that we have worked through, Like Tonami's point of like
someone that bring it in the room and let's talk
about it, because that's how the intimacy stays and grows
is because you're at a point where it's like, I'm
not willing to lose you over something like this, but
I do want to know how you feel and vice versa.
So it's been incredibly fortifying, and it just makes a

(12:20):
relationship that much stronger and that much truer. And it's
not predicated on based on something that's a lie. It's like,
I just am and that is a big, a big
thing for me in my life. Is like trying to
ride the truth train to the destination.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
You know, you can be so happy for another woman
in your life and to be jealous that they may
have gotten a job that.

Speaker 5 (12:38):
You want totally, it's just as long as the jealousy
doesn't impede your ability to be present for them or
happy for them, like I am all about and that's envy,
That's right. It's like the green headed monster, and I
welcome all kinds of jealousy and wishes and you know,
wish all that kind of stuff is on the table always.
You know, it's your human being. You'd be lying to yourself.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
So I wanted to ask you character Carrington Lane, what
a name? She's absolutely a loose unit. She's diabolical, she
anit I love, but a loose unit. I love that
she's an animal. Was it hard to be acting out
this like cold blooded revenge kind of character when you're
actually so close with these women and you're working with
them every day.

Speaker 5 (13:20):
Uh, it twasn't hard at all. It was one of
the most thrilling experiences of my life. Not because I
enjoyed being cruel to people, but because it cruel to people.
Didn't hear that, like I see, really when there's like
a lie, there's like a lie cruel to people. But
I think I tried to think about it from the
vantage point that you know, once you see the show,

(13:40):
the women Naomi's character, Kim and NISI sort of start
their own law firm and they don't take me with them.
And I was at the same firm as as they
were in the beginning, so I sort of was left behind.
And that pain has caused you know, for some people,
it causes a person to shrink another person. Other people,
it causes those injuries caused them to kind of lurch

(14:01):
forward and want to dominate. And that is sort of
what's happened, is that Carrington is sort of motivated by
a need for revenge, but it comes from a place
of great pain of having been left out, you know,
some fundamental childlike feeling of being left behind.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Naomi, can you let us know something to the young
women listening right now that are out there hustling and grinding,
what's your one piece of advice? I would say, you know,
whatever your dream is, go after it, don't compromise, but
know why, you know, just ask yourself, why are you
going after it? I mean, certainly for me, I.

Speaker 6 (14:38):
Wanted to throw the towel in many, many times, and
I sort of postured like I was going to, but
I didn't know what else I loved or I didn't
know what else I was qualified to do. So I
just kept going and had, you know, to just rely
on blind resilience and determination, and eventually it paid off.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
And it was a.

Speaker 6 (15:03):
Slow, agonizing time for about ten to fifteen years. But
I was also like, okay, this is fine. As long
as I can cover my bills. I'm happy to be
a working actor for hire. And I never knew that
it would turn into what's happening now, especially this last

(15:25):
moment in my career, this last five years being with
Ryan Murphy. I really was told over and over again
that your career would be finished after forty fifty for
sure and onward. And then I ran into someone like
Ryan Murphy who has just given me, you know, four
incredible parts.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
In a row, which I'm very.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
Grateful for us. Thank God you didn't give up. Thank God.

Speaker 6 (15:48):
So that would be my advice, thank you. I'm in
there to the young ladies.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
So picture this is Ryan calls you pick up the phone.
He's like, ladies, one of you from the cast in
real life has just been arrested.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
Who is it, Oh, just been arrested?

Speaker 1 (16:05):
Yeah, who's most likely to get arrested? Out of you, lady?

Speaker 4 (16:08):
Isn't me?

Speaker 1 (16:09):
No, I don't think it's you.

Speaker 4 (16:11):
It's not Kim.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
It's definitely not Kim.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
Maybe Nisi or Tiana. Maybe Nissi or Tiana. Maybe not Glenn.

Speaker 5 (16:19):
Oh maybe Glenn might get arrested for a nice, peaceful protest.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Yes, she might from like a nice sit in.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
She might get arrested.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Okay, so then you would you send in to defend her.
Who's going to bail her out?

Speaker 4 (16:32):
Kim or Nissi?

Speaker 1 (16:33):
Yeah, niss Okay or Kim or Kim.

Speaker 5 (16:36):
But because Kim knows all the actual legal jargon, ye,
Nisi will just find a.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
Way to make it all happen. Square it up right away.
I lost my virginity today. I've never done an interview
and been called the start. So thank you. I'm going
to add that to the what well We're so, I'm
so happy I could pop your cherry. Thank you, thank you.

Speaker 6 (16:53):
Thanks.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
I see what you mean when you say that they
just seem so normal and likable and you know, incredible women,
but also just so chatty and funny and engaging.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
And yeah, I really love that. And do you know
what was interesting?

Speaker 1 (17:09):
There's only one moment where I got a little bit stressed,
and that is because I was prepped to being called
I also hate that I don't use that one. It
was the first time I had to roll with it
and pretend.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
I was like, rolled off my toe.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
You're like, I'm Australian, we use it all the time.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
I was like, if Naomi and Sarah are using it,
I'm gonna use that. No, So you sit down in
a chair like I'm in right, and there's was a
big studio production, so I was there a whole team there.
I guess it's when it's at that level, it's very official.
There's a team that's counting you in and you're in
a waiting room and it's a whole thing, like they're
gonna be with you in three minutes. To alive and
they're crossing to other people and it was, you know,

(17:46):
it was a lot, but fine.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
I was ready.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
I knew I had prepped it, but then I was
prepped to Kim first, like Kim Glenn and Nissi. And
then maybe seconds out they're like, oh, we've switched. You're
not doing them, We're cutting straight to And I had
my cards reading and I had my train of thought
ready because you only get a certain amount of time

(18:10):
with them, so you don't have the time to fuck
around if you want to get great questions and great conversation.
And so I had about thirty seconds to like wipe
everything for three women's interviews in my head, wipe that
out and get in the zone for Naomi. And so
it wasn't I was like, oh, I was like, what,
We're swapped? And I was like switched, fluffing around. And

(18:31):
then as soon as it opened, they called me a kun,
not called me a kN but that was the word,
and that just it was the perfect start because it
just relaxed the conversation and I just was like, oh
my god, you guys are this is easy. You're so
normal and you're so nice. And Naomi, I think being
an Aussie. We're very like that. But I loved it.
They were just they're a vibe. There was such a
vibe and I'm just hoping that, like you can hang

(18:53):
out with name me one day.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
I would like a long form interview with any of them.
That would be fantastic.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
But the second half of the interviews was with Glenn Close's,
Kim Kardashian and Nissi Nash. What did you think of them?

Speaker 1 (19:05):
You know what, I'll say, they were all incredible. They
were all just beautiful women and very giving in their interviews,
very friendly. A lot of people aren't. But do you
know what I was thinking. I was like, I wonder
Kim Kardashian, She's always so stunning and perfect and put together.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
I was like, are they.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
Using all these like beauty filters? Are they What's she actually? Like?
Holy shit, It's like looking at the Mona Lisa.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
She's like it's artwork.

Speaker 5 (19:35):
She is.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
Stunning, Like I couldn't stop looking at it. And maybe
they did have some sort of beauty filters on it.
I don't know, but she was beautiful and she was considered, yeah,
and funny and relaxed at the same time, and you
could just tell that these women had a genuine friendship
and connection that wasn't put on. It wasn't for the
pr trail. I think they all just like fell in

(20:00):
love with each other. They're very, very close, and the
way they were interacting, it's not all in the video,
like there's some stuff that was off video.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
The way that they were with.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
Each other and just talking and hanging out and laughing,
it was really real and it was really nice to see.
I mean, there's like an intergenerational friendship there, and they
come from different worlds. I'm sure the Glenn Close was like, Wow,
I'm going to be acting alongside this reality TV mogul.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
I wonder what that's going to be like. But they
just loved and.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Supported each other and they were brilliant. I do not
have a bad word to say about any of them.
And I will say I watched the first episode. It's
out now you can go and watch it, and I
loved it. I just loved it. Anyway, I'm just fucking thrilled,
So have a listen. Kim Kardashian, Glenn Close, nier C
Nash Betts. What a formidable combination. I was lucky enough
to also see the trailer hook Line and Sinker. I

(20:47):
cannot wait to see the rest of the show. What
was the most exciting thing for you when this project
landed on your lap?

Speaker 4 (20:53):
For me, it was to know who the cast was.

Speaker 5 (20:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (20:56):
I was so excited to meet the ladies, word work
with the ladies and unpack these characters together.

Speaker 8 (21:03):
That has been the biggest blessing ever and so much fun.
I was so excited to hear Ryan's take on what
an attorney would look like and how that would come
to fruition and how he would write that.

Speaker 9 (21:17):
I think when he talked to me, because I'd played
women who didn't particularly have great wardropes, he said, you're
gonna have great clothes, You're gonna have great jewels, and
you're gonna be nice.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
Oh and you get to be nice as well. What
a top So which one have you looked in first
out of the cast, Kim.

Speaker 8 (21:36):
Yeah. Ryan called me and had this idea, was inspired
by my law school journey and wanted to He asked
me if I'd ever be a divorce attorney and I
said no, but I'd play one on TV. So he
wrote this character. But was so fun is he picked
each cast member and then he wrote for them after
the fact, so everyone signed on without a script.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Kim, we see really early on that your character Allura
is with an absolute flog, Like what a twat in
real life? What what is a red flag for you
in a relationship?

Speaker 4 (22:13):
What isn't these days? I was about to say, if
they're breathing.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
Yeah, if they're breathing, you don't want it.

Speaker 4 (22:26):
That's so funny. I think I'm kind of I.

Speaker 8 (22:30):
Must be color blind because I see I just see
pink and orange.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
I don't.

Speaker 8 (22:34):
I don't see red, but I need to see red.
But I would say the biggest red flag is just
when someone is really not kind and rude to staff
and waiters and everyone around. I don't like that personality trait.

Speaker 9 (22:47):
Red fag for me is if all they want to
know is about your work. I mean you're like like Hollywood.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 7 (22:55):
Red flag for me is anybody who I feel like
needs me to shrink or be small.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
So that they feel good. Yeah, first kind of it.
I'm not having it.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
You all have so many young women that look up
to you, and you're also inspirational. If you could give
advice to a young woman right now that is entering
a male dominated industry. What would your advice be.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
Find your voice.

Speaker 8 (23:24):
I would say, just keep your head down and be
great and do what you do and not put too
much emphasis on it. Just put in the work and
you'll see the result.

Speaker 9 (23:34):
In this industry, you just at the beginning, you just
want to get a job. You know, you want to
be able to show what you want.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
To be able to develop and give a job.

Speaker 9 (23:43):
I always tried to say, yes, if you have that
luxury to choose to think that I personally thought was good,
not because you think you know blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah, because you personally thought was good.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
You know you could.

Speaker 4 (23:59):
That's what I've been been trying to do my career.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
If you were to go in real life and start
a female lead power firm and you could bring one
person from your real life, one woman, who would you
be bringing.

Speaker 4 (24:14):
Nissy?

Speaker 1 (24:20):
Could I love her?

Speaker 3 (24:22):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Is this because Niecey's a bad us or just because
she's going to bring it because.

Speaker 9 (24:26):
Fills the room in the most wonderful way.

Speaker 8 (24:29):
Nissy would get anything done you and she'll have your
back every step.

Speaker 4 (24:34):
Of the way.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
She's a good.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
He's a good woman. And strong and funny, and I
paid them to say that.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
Kim, If you had to bring one of your sisters
in which one is it.

Speaker 8 (24:47):
Chloe because she just that same kind of personality, will
just get it done, ride or die till the end
of time.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
If I had to bring one person, it would be
Oprah Winfrey.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Oh that's good wine, you win You were in that
game to us. I feel like every show or project
that you work on, you would take away something, you
learned something. What would be the biggest thing you've learned
from Osta?

Speaker 7 (25:14):
I don't think it's about the biggest thing that I've learned.
For me, It's about the biggest thing that I've gained,
and it's sisterhood, you know, Like I genuinely care about
these women like I love them. I want to know
what's going on with the kids, what's going on in
your personal life and the grand baby and the you know,

(25:34):
Naomi just got to start on the walk of fat.
How can we show up and support you? Like I
just feel like we are locked in and I love knowing.

Speaker 4 (25:43):
You know.

Speaker 7 (25:44):
Even when my dad got sick when I was in
New York, you text me you had your big thing
that night for skims and you were like, do you
need anything?

Speaker 4 (25:52):
Where are you? Are you okay? You know? So it's
the sisterhood for me.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
Hypothetically. The phone is ringing. You pick it up. It's Ryan.
Heytel you that one of you ladies in the cast
in real life has just been arrested. Who is it?
Most likely debate?

Speaker 4 (26:06):
Oh my god, would be Socialia.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
So I've been.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
Arrested, Tiana. I would say, Tiana, all of you get well.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
Interesting because the other two said you NISI.

Speaker 8 (26:20):
I was gonna say, I said, NISI er Tiana?

Speaker 4 (26:23):
Well wait a minute, time out, excuse me?

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Why why?

Speaker 8 (26:27):
Well, because you two have the most fun like for
some reason, you know, she's living a very fun sexual
like with her man like fun life. That to me,
that seems like they're going to the best parties, They're
going to the funnest nights. They're just you know, I'm
just thinking, why, oh you to me have the we

(26:51):
know we are after life partying and with your you know,
wife is like, it seems like you have the most
like fun. Well, I know of the most fun wild,
juicy life sex life. So to me, it would be
for nothing crazy, It would just be for both of
them for I would think like a little intoxication of

(27:14):
just you know, well.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
It was it was also Glenn. It was it was
not murder. It was also Glenn. But that was for
a peaceful protest. So you're in it's not public in decency,
You're okay, you're in the you're in the clear. I'm
a rented for a peaceful protest. Ladies, you're all brilliant.
I wish I had more than eight minutes, but unfortunately
that's what we've got. I could talk to you forever.
Thank you so much for your time today, and I

(27:37):
cannot wait to see the rest of the show.

Speaker 4 (27:39):
Thank you, thank you. There are no more on buildings.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
