We’re here to discuss all of this past week’s drama on Love Island USA — and it sure was dramatic! Nic is growing on us, and his connection with Cierra feels promising, but we’re not convinced it’ll last. Huda and Jeremiah continue to suck the life out of the villa, even after their separation, and Iris might not be the solution. We’re mourning Jalen’s exit, confused by Austin and Amaya’s vibe, and annoyed that Charlie was the one sent home after America’s vote. Paige’s mysterious challenge disappearance finally makes sense, and Olandria’s secret room moment had all the boys lining up. Taylor’s time in the villa should probably be over, we’re not sold on Ace and Chelley, and yes — one former islander is headed to The Traitors. Oh, and we now know where one cast member stands politically... and it was a surprise.
Over on Love Island UK Season 12, episodes 1 through 7 are showing early promise. We talk about the major differences between the USA and UK versions, and how the UK still struggles with pacing, casting, and overall show culture. That said, this season is already more watchable than the last. The addition of the first American in the UK villa adds a fun twist, and we break down who we’re enjoying and who we’d gladly see dumped. New show structures are bringing some much-needed spice, but the toxic masculinity among the men remains a glaring issue.
Lastly, we check in on the latest relationship updates following Bravo’s Love Hotel. We also hear from host Joel, who’s already sharing casting ideas for next season.
