Luke 22:42 – "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done."

This verse is one of the most powerful prayers Jesus ever prayed. Right before He was arrested, He cried out to God—and trusted Him completely.

Jake was nervous before his first swim meet. What if he messed up? His dad reminded him: “Just pray.” So Jake whispered a simple prayer: "God, I’m nervous. Help me do my best." And guess what? He felt peace—and swam with confidence. Prayer helped him remember: God was with him.

• We can pray too—when we’re scared, thankful, excited, or confused.
