În ultimii ani, pe timpul verii, tot mai multe orașe europene au fost lovite de valuri de căldură, determinând locuitorii și turiștii să fugă în locuri mai răcoroase și mai puțin sufocante.
Specialiștii apreciază că, în viitor, durata și intensitatea valurilor de căldură va crește afectând tot mai mult nu doar confortul oamenilor, ci și sănătatea publică și economia.
Sub genericul – „Tomorrow’s Europe” „Europa de mâine”, în această ediţie am încercat să aflăm ce fel de măsuri se pot lua la nivel local și european pentru a ne adapta cât mai bine la valurile de căldură.
Împreună cu colegii de la posturile partenere din reţeaua Euranet Plus am încercat să aflăm care este impactul valurilor de căldură, care sunt tot mai dese și mai intense în ultimii ani ș ice se poate schimba în infrastructura orașelor pentru a ne proteja cât mai bine. De asemenea, am discutat despre cum trebuie sprijinită populația vulnerabilă la schimbările climatice.
