Established to transform agricultural waste into valuable products, IBG aims to produce insect protein for animal feed, organic fertilizer from insect excrement, and chitin for pharmaceuticals and beauty products, using a fully circular approach. Collaborating with the University of Granada, they are researching to optimize the pretreatment of agricultural residues for BSF larvae. Plans include establishing R&D units for testing and eventually scaling up to a larger production facility, with the support of regional government and potential investors, highlighting the strategic importance of their project for sustainable agriculture and waste management.
