Quando ero giovanissimo giocavo a Calcio a 5. Ero fondamentalmente scarso a calcio e avevo fatto arti marziali da molto piccolo. Possiamo dire che ho ripiegato sul calcio a 5 quando un gruppo di amici hanno tirato su una squadra under 18.
Mi sono appassionato subito alla disciplina, in Puglia si parlava un gran bene di una sorta di "matematico", un personaggio anche schivo e solitario. Era Massimiliano Bellarte. A differenza mia Max ha fatto carriera nello sport passando da una squadra di provincia, a una squadra di serie A2, poi in Serie A e poi addirittura in Nazionale, per ben quattro anni. Il sogno di tutti. La condanna per molti.
Max è un personaggio che ho voluto fortemente su Labora perché è una fucina di aneddoti, un professionista pieno di risorse e con una sensibilità fuori dal comune nel mondo dello sport.
