When you have salvation in Christ you have to put off the old life and put on a new life.
A continuation of the series on the life of David.
David must choose to follow God. This is a good example for us today in that we should trust in God and not the world.
Trusting in God is always the Better Choice.

David is lead by the spirit.
We learn thru old testament examples of the relationships of David and his men and Saul and his men. a downward cycle of our choices verses walking under the power of God.

A life lived as a Shepard prepared David to serve God. He used the gifts of strength and courage and his skill with a sling to defeat the giant.
This is a example for you to use the the gifts that God gave you to serve Him.

David and Jonathan's friendship extended for a lifetime and continued far beyond Jonathan's death. Davids kindness was true and real and carried onto Jonathans family members. It's our example of Christ laying down his life for us.
