Part 2 of the episode ‘And On The First Day, Lou Created…’ finishes off where the 2 left off in discussing the beginning of Lou’s religion/cult (inconclusively called either ‘Beckettism’ or ‘Beckettology'). The ‘When In Rome’ trip to Addis Ababa throws up some highly ill-educated discussion about Ethiopian culture, as well as a few choice encounters with some shady characters on the night of the trip.

*EDITORIAL NOTES AND CORRECTIONS*

- While prostitution itself is legal in Ethiopia, certain forms of solicitation are considered illegal and criminal.

- ‘Snake Dances’ are a scam designed to attract gullible foreigners to go with the scammers and aren’t literally ‘snake dances’ (although actual snake dances do exist in some Tribal Communities in several countries across Africa, such as Tanzania and Ivory Coast.) ‘Eskesta’ is a traditional dance in Ethiopia that is *inspired* by the neck movements of snakes.

- Donald Trump probably can read, at least to an extent.

*DISCLAIMER*

Michael Jackson, Donald Trump and Barack Obama were not actually featured in this podcast and any resemblance to their voices are intended for purposes of parody only and are not an accurate representation of them or any of their opinions (or whatever it is you have to say to not get sued).

*IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING THIS WEEK’S ANNOUNCEMENTS BY DONALD TRUMP AND ROBERT F KENNEDY JNR ABOUT AUTISM*

We try to avoid political discussion on the show, but just as a point to anyone listening (from Paddy, who is neurodivergent himself): Autism isn’t caused by taking Pregnant Mothers taking Tylenol, nor is it caused by vaccinations – both have been continually disproven and usually there has been an ulterior motive for the spreading of such conspiracy theories. The misinformation being pushed by RFK Jnr and Donald Trump around neurodivergency is both highly stigmatising and offensive and the concept of “finding a cure for Autism”, as if it is a disease, is highly dangerous. If you believe a man with a worm in his brain (who has no medical qualifications) has managed to uncover a major scientific breakthrough after years of geniuses trying…you need to evaluate your own lack of intelligence.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
