I detta avsnitt möter vi Magnus och Oscar, två passionerade förare som siktar på att slå det mytomspunna Blå Bandet-rekordet 2025 – Sveriges mest prestigefyllda utmaning för motorbåtar. 🏁
Deras mål? Att köra nonstop från Ystad till Haparanda, en sträcka på cirka 712 sjömil, och slå både:
- Det officiella rekordet från 1998: 18 timmar och 48 minuter, satt av Ante Malmgren & Pelle Ericsson i en Arrow 830.
- Den inofficiella rekordtiden från 2011: 13 timmar och 31 minuter, av Bo Dahlberg & Classe Johansson (Baltic Sea Race) i en Skater-katamaran – som dock ogiltigförklarades på grund av fel färdriktning (Haparanda till Ystad).
Vi djupdyker i förberedelserna, utmaningarna och den avancerade teknik som krävs för att bemästra detta ikoniska rekord. Dessutom bjuds det på anekdoter, tekniksnack och en rejäl dos powerboat-passsion!
Vad är Blå Bandet? Ett historiskt svenskt motorbåtsrekord, instiftat 1969 av Båtnytt och Expressen, där målet är att färdas från sydligaste till nordligaste Sverige – på absolut kortast tid.
