Some seasons of friendship look different than others—especially when you’re raising littles, running a business, and juggling all the moving pieces of daily life. It can feel hard to find time and space to connect deeply with the people you love. But the truth is, friendship doesn’t have to disappear in busy seasons—it just has to shift.

In today’s Memos in the Margins episode, I’m sharing some of the friendship rhythms that have been serving me well in this season, from regular girls’ nights to small ways of staying connected even when time feels limited. We’ll talk about why it’s okay for friendship to look different from season to season, how to find a rhythm that works for you and your people, and what it means to do life deeply with friends while honoring your current priorities. I’m also pulling back the curtain on some recent conversations with close friends about the Bible and the church, and how the Lord has been using those moments to both convict and encourage me in personal ways.

I hope that this conversation reminds you that friendship can grow deeper, even in the busiest seasons, when we build rhythms that fit the life God has called us to right now.

I pray this episode encourages you!

Hugs!

Stuff You Should Know
Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
