Welcome to the Burnout Resolution Podcast.
I'm your host, Dr. Mylaine Riobé,and today we're going to talk
about the meaning of life andwhat that has to do with burnout.
I've always been fascinated bythis topic, like, why are we here?
What's going on?
What are we meant to do here?
How did we get here?

All the crazy questions that we tendto ask at some point in our lives, for
me, it was when I was a kid growingup in New York City, I was always
fascinated by different tradition.
You know, growing up in the city,just going to school, you would walk
past different churches, differentmosques, different places of worship.
(00:49):
You would meet people of all differentethnicities, all different spiritual
and religious backgrounds, and yet weall had very similar things in common.
We all got along in school,you know, except for the usual
skirmishes that kids tend to have.
For the most part, we were all justrunning around learning, having
(01:11):
fun, and trying to figure it out.
And so that led me to wonder, like whywhen I watch tv, for example, do I see
a world that's the complete opposite,where people are dropping bombs on
each other and hating on each other?
What was going on?
What was going on in the outsideworld that just didn't look
(01:32):
like what I was experiencing.
And so that led me to study allthese different traditions that
I was surrounded by as a kid.
So when I went to college for pre-medand a biology major as my academic
side hustle, I took some theologyand world history classes because
I just wanted to figure it out.
Why was there all this strifeand division in the world?
(01:55):
I didn't see that in my littlemicrocosm at school, for example.
At the end of the day, once I studied abunch of different religious philosophies,
ancient texts, both at school and juston my own, I came to see that there
were many common threads in all of theseancient texts that were simply being
(02:17):
misread, misunderstood, or perhaps evenmanipulated to make them seem different.
At their heart, they were all the same.
They all had the same meaning of life,and that meaning seemed to be love.
We're usually bornextremely curious as kids.
And then as we go through the wear andtear of school, we all pretty much agree
(02:40):
that the education system, at least herein the United States, isn't the best.
So by the time we, claw our way through,we kinda lose our sense of curiosity.
And by the time we're walking intocollege and deciding what we want
to do, quote unquote for a living,we've lost that sense of curiosity.
And we just fall into these life pathsand careers we call them, of course,
(03:04):
but we fall into these categories and wetend to put these blinders on and we're
off to the races studying what we needto study, checking off all the boxes.
Somehow the meaning of lifebecomes how am I going to survive
in the world as opposed to love.
And in my book, FAITH, I tackled this,There are only two emotions in my opinion.
(03:26):
There's love and there's fear,and it turns out it's a choice.
Which one do we choose?
Do we choose love or do we choose fear?
Choosing fear meansbeing in your head a lot.
The indoctrination that takesplace as we go through our
childhood, as we go through school.
There's a lot of indoctrination atschool and not really free thinking and

teaching of actual historical facts,and so we end up indoctrinated with
these beliefs That may or may not betrue, but one thing they all seem to
have in common is they instill fear.
They instill this idea that I haveto conform to a very specific way
so that I can survive in the world.
(04:14):
So the meaning of life becomessurvival instead of love, and
when we stay on that track for toolong, we inevitably will burn out.
Then we tend to go back andask that question again.
What is the meaning of life if whatI just poured two decades of my
life into is making me miserable?
(04:36):
And we start to ask whatis the meaning of life?
Why am I here?
What is the, purpose of my being here?
If we're not careful, we start to thinkthat life is a little bit meaningless,
that there is no point to being here.
When we look at the bedlam and thechaos that surrounds us at times,
it becomes really easy to get caughtup in that fear, and that takes
(04:59):
us down the spiral of burnout.
And again, we just get hyper-focusedon clawing our way out of
whatever ditch we're in so thatwe can survive in the world.
Now survival looks differentfor different people, right?
It may be I need to have a certainamount of money in my bank account.
It may be I need to have a certaintype of relationship in my life.
(05:21):
I need to have a certain numberof children or whatever the case
may be, to appear a certain waythat others might call successful.
Then when people think that they are aboutto reach that pinnacle and they look back
and realize like, Hey, I'm exhausted.
I'm burnt out.
(05:41):
I don't feel good.
This is not fun.
They start to ask the question again,like, what is the meaning of life?
And that's the question thatburnout inevitably brings us too.
I say that burnout isnot of a broken body.
It's not a failure, it's a gift.
It's your body really forcing youto look at what is the meaning
(06:05):
of my life and why am I here?
And if you're in burnout, your bodyis giving you a big hint that you've
been going against the meaning of life.
Burnout happens simply when we forgetour truth, and that is that we are love.
How do we know this?
Burnout is usually framedas working too hard.
(06:27):
Not getting enough sleep, being ina toxic work environment and just
simply being under too much stress.
Burnout is the inevitable resultof the mind, the body, and the
spirit being out of rhythm.
It's your soul whispering.
You've forgotten why you're here,which is easy to do in today's society.
(06:50):
So how do we know that we are love?
Where does that come from?
So if we go back and welook at ancient tech.
Even science, we start tosee the true meaning of life
emerging everywhere we look.
I'm not religious.
I don't go to church.
I'm more spiritual than religious, butI do believe that ancient texts, whether
(07:11):
they be the Christian Bible, the EthiopianBible, the Torah, the Koran, the Vedic
texts, and some Taoist texts or Buddhisttexts that are thousands of years old.
It can show us some reallyimportant critical things that
were known in ancient times.
(07:32):
Ancient Egyptian texts as well.
Ancient Mayan traditions.
So wherever we look anywherein the world, there are common
threads that are known that scienceis even showing us to be true.
There's a biblical text that sayswhoever does not love, does not
know God because God is love.
(07:53):
And that's the book of John.
This is telling us that the veryessence of the creator is love.
In the Ethiopian Bible, the bookof wisdom says, where you love
all things that exist and detestnone of the things you have made.
This tells us that creation itself ismaintained by the creator's love, and
(08:16):
that nothing exists outside of that love.
The Kabbalah tells us even more directly.
The world is built by love in Islam orthe Sufi tradition, it is said I was a
hidden treasure and I loved to be known.
So I created the creationthat I might be known.
(08:39):
In the Upanishads, which is aVedic text, from Bliss indeed,
all beings are born by bliss.
They live and into bliss.
They return.
So bliss is extreme love and joy.
What this is saying is that bliss isthe beginning, the middle, and the end.
(09:00):
In Daoist traditions, it saidThe great Dao flows everywhere.
It nourishes all things.
Again, in the Book of Enoch, in theEthiopian Bible, it said, and its
fragrance shall enter their bum andthey shall live a long life on earth.
Different traditions, differentcultures, different people
(09:21):
scattered all over the globe.
But one truth.
Life it seems is about loveand creation is about that love
overflowing and becoming us.
You may have heard the famous line,I think therefore I am by René
Descartes, who's a French philosopher.
(09:42):
That statement always rang a littlehollow for me, to think that just because
I think that means I am, because itseemed to me that thinking was just a
more superficial thing that we do.
When you look at ancient texts,they tell a different story.
The book of Proverbs says, as a manthinketh in his heart, so is he.
(10:06):
So here comes the heart.
In ancient Egypt, at the time of death,the heart was weighed against the feather
of Ma'at, which is the representationof truth, balance, and love.
If the heart was light, the soulwas free to enter the afterworld.
If the heart was heavy with fearand corruption, the soul was bound
(10:31):
and could not enter the afterlife.
So ancient texts tellus a different story.
It's not this thinking that matters,but this thinking, of course,
the emotion of the heart is joy,
love.
This is according to traditionalChinese medicine and many, many
other ancient philosophies.
(10:52):
to the ancients, the heartwas the center of humanity.
In traditional Chinese medicine, thespirit is housed in the heart, or what
they call the Shen is housed in the heart.
The Institute of HeartMath, and nowother scientists have shown that the
human heart actually does have a brain.
There are about 40,000 or socells inside the human heart
(11:15):
that are actually brain cells.
So now it's been shown thatthe human heart actually has.
An independent brain that isindependent of the brain in the head,
and that it does its own thinking.
And again, for those of you who've watchedmy podcast, there's an electromagnetic
field you've all heard about a thousandtimes because it's so important.
(11:35):
There's an electromagnetic fieldthat emanates from the human heart
that is not bound by space andtime, whereas the one in the human
head is bound by space and time.
The human heart is our intuition.
It's our intuitive thinking mind.
And so when we think of the idea of, Ithink in my heart, and therefore I am.
(11:58):
that makes more sense because weunderstand that intuition is not
even bound by the need to be alive,
We have the studies that wetalked about in our last podcast,
or maybe two podcasts ago.
There are several scientific studiesnow published in peer reviewed journals
(12:18):
that show that human intuition isstill present even when the heart
is technically in cardiac arrest.
In other words, not beating anymore.
we have the ancient texts.
We have now the science toshow us that it's about love.
The Institute of HeartMath also shows that.
(12:38):
The emotions of love and joybring about high coherence.
There is a rhythm within the nervoussystem, the autonomic nervous system
specifically that regulates ourheartbeat, the way that our heartbeat
varies from beat to beat matters.
High heart rate variability isassociated with increased intuition,
(13:02):
increased fulfillment, and joy,peace, and overall wellbeing.
Low heart rate variability ornon coherence is associated
with fear, frustration, andchronic medical conditions.
And again, all of that iscontrolled by the human breath.
The way that we breathe, controls howour heart coordinates our nervous system.
(13:27):
So it controls how our heart,brain controls our head
brain to bring about either.
Frustration and stress or peace, joy,and fulfillment, all that matters for
burnout because your perception ofyour reality is based on which side
of your nervous system is more active.
(13:49):
There's even more science to show us this.
Meditation studies show us thatthere are physical changes that occur
in our human brain in addition to.
The coherence that occursin the human heart as well.
And that brings about more peaceand joy, which increases, which
(14:10):
supports your perception of yourreality as being fulfilling.
The field of epigenetics
shows that our emotions controlwhich genes are turned on or off.
We have a wide range of human emotionwe can broadly separate them into two
categories, there are emotions basedin love, and emotions based in fear.
(14:33):
Emotions based in fear are going tobe things like anger, actual actually
being frightened, rumination, whichmeans just being in your head and
thinking too much as examples.
And then there are love-basedemotions like joy and our
brain, the brain in our head.
Is a big part of how we see the world.
(14:55):
How we perceive the world.
It's almost like a filter.
the heart, brain is in communicationwith the field or the ethers, so
to speak, or the vacuum, whateveryou want to call it, spirit.
If you're in high coherence, itwill transmit down to the brain
level, the data, the information.
Depending on whether you're in lowcoherence or high coherence, your brain
(15:17):
is then going to filter that data.
It's like a receiver of information,so if you're in low coherence, you're
going to perceive that data as fearful,and that will then translate into
perceiving your environment as fearful.
If you're in high coherence,
your head brain will take thatinformation and it will filter it as
(15:39):
a positive experience, and you willperceive your environment in a positive
way with more fulfillment and joy.
That will dictate what genes are turnedon and off, et cetera, on a physiological
level, and this is how burnout andfear and stress can cause diseases.
This is also how living the meaningof your life, which is love and
(16:03):
authenticity, leads to a differentset of genes being turned on, which
allow for wellbeing and fulfillment.
We have the field of quantum physics,which shows us that the observer
shapes outcomes, a photon of light.
Exists in what we call super position.
(16:25):
It's in different states ofbeing and multiple different
infinite possibilities of being.
And it is the observer that focuses into make those probabilities collapse into
a reality, into a thing, into matter.
The Observer effect shows usthat we literally shape our
(16:46):
reality in quantum physics.
If there is no observer, photons, or lightjust remains in this infinite field of
probability, Until we focus on it, untilwe make a decision about how we want to
live, what we want to experience, andthat sets our life in motion to become.
(17:08):
Making sure that you're in high coherenceand living an authentic life through
love is extremely important to shapethat reality and your perception of it.
So what does all thishave to do with burnout?
Burnout is that wake up call thatsays, you're straying off your path.
You're not following theblueprint that your soul set
(17:30):
up for you before you got here.
Our emotions are a big hint of that too.
We talked about the emotion of lovebeing our intuition versus the emotions
of fear being our brain, trying tostop us from following our authentic
path because that's the brain's job,
it's here to keep us safe.
(17:50):
It's here to keep us on the planet, right?
So it makes sense that it's going to.
Potentially trigger things thatcause us to pause, cause us to
have some level of fear, right?
We need to be afraid of gravity ifwe're in a high rise building, we
don't want to jump out of the window.
(18:11):
Thinking that we're going to somehowdefy the rules of the universe.
So the brain is there to remind us like,Hey, it's, 20 some odd stories down.
Don't get too close to the ledge.
Or, Hey, don't stick your finger in thefire, or it'll burn and bad things will
happen, so that's why the brain is there.
We need this fine line between makingsure that we're not airy fairy and
(18:35):
thinking that we can do whatever.
Break the rules of, physics, so to speak.
But also we need something toallow us to think big, right?
So that we don't get trappedin that fear-based thinking.
There's this constant, balance betweenthe two that we need to strike.
But the guiding light, the guidingpost is to be authentically
(18:58):
who you are, and that is.
Love.
Now, that doesn't mean that youfocus your love externally on
everybody but yourself, right?
It means that you focus on yourself first.
So it's self love.
Remember that creationis love overflowing.
Your cup has to be full andoverflow so that it is a full
(19:23):
and complete expression of self.
When we forget that we burn out.
We give too much to our career.
We burn out.
If we give too little toour career, we burn out.
If we give too little toourselves, we burn out.
And if we give too much toourselves in a way that we are
being selfish, out of fear.
(19:43):
We burn out.
It's like surfing, right?
And I do not surf, but I imagine what
surfing is like.
you have to ride the wave andyou have to allow the wave
to take you where it's going.
If you fight the wave, youare going to crash and burn.
Life's kind of like that.
(20:04):
There is a wave to life, there'sa trajectory, a goal that you set
for yourself when you came here.
We each have our own uniqueexpression in the world that expresses
our authentic self and our love, ourauthentic selves as love overflowing.
(20:25):
Your brain wants tocontrol how you do that.
Your heart wants to allowlife to just take you there.
So there's a delicate balance betweenthe two, and this is why HeartMath
teaches us that coherence is not simplyabout living in your heart constantly.
It's a balance between the heart, brain,and the head brainin so that you're riding
(20:50):
the wave and you're simply being flexibleand adaptable so that you stay on top of
the wave and don't fall into the ocean.
When you start living as yourauthentic self, life begins to shift
and your experience begins to change.
That becomes a fearful experiencefor some people because your brain is
(21:13):
like, whoa, wait, what's happening?
Where are you taking me?
We've been comfortable over herebeing what everybody thought we were
and what we were expected to be like.
Why are you taking me outta that comfortzone and bringing me over here into
some other world I'm not familiar with?
It's not smooth all the time.
It's rocky.
We just have to keep rememberingthis is actually part of the process.
(21:35):
This is part of me retraining my body,my brain, to come with me over here into
my authentic expression of who I am.
So your brain will always want torebound like a rubber band back to its
comfort zone, what it's familiar with.
I'm familiar with how everybodythinks I'm supposed to act.
(21:56):
I'm familiar with what everybody thinksI'm supposed to be doing for a living.
I'm familiar with howeveryone defines my success.
Don't take me over here, right?
but this is where we becomecomplete and whole when we're
actually being our authentic selves.
At some point, the rift betweenthese two is what creates the burnout
(22:18):
crisis, so to speak, and listeningto the heart, which is the one that
was taking you to your authentic selfthe whole time is a big part of that.
Training your brain and body to comewith you is part of the journey.
The brain is going tobe afraid of shifting.
Now, how do you know that I'm goingin the right direction is because
(22:41):
when you are still within yourself,your heart shows you the direction.
The heart shows you that, yes,this is where we need to be.
And then your brain is always louder.
The head brain is always louder.
It's going to, the boom box is up androaring and the heart is just whispering.
The heart will never raiseits voice to match the brain.
(23:05):
So it's not like there's goingto be this shouting match and
your heart's going to win over.
That doesn't happen.
Your heart whispers.
Your brain screams.
That's just how they are.
So you have to be still enough thatyou hear the whispers and you feel the
emotions of what brings you the joy.
It's quick.
It's not something that's going tobe resounding right at, especially at
(23:27):
first, it's just the little whisper.
You think of something you mightwant to do that your brain is
like, nah, that'll never work.
And you keep thinking of thatthing you want to do and your
brain keeps wiping it out.
Like, no, no, no, no,we're not doing that.
but my heart is telling me to do this.
So you take small steps in thatdirection and your brain will rebel
(23:48):
and go back and forth and up and down.
And you keep taking small steps inthe direction of authenticity, at some
point, you are going to reach a thresholdwhere it becomes more comfortable to be
your authentic self, and that takes adifferent amount of time for everyone.
But that consistency of beingstill, whether you're doing breath
(24:10):
work, meditation, affirmations,therapy, whatever is necessary
to stay in your authenticity.
At some point you reach this criticalthreshold where it starts to feel
better over here in your authenticself than it felt over here in your,
expected by society self we'll call it.
(24:33):
So when we're here in theexpectation side of the world, this
is what society calls successful.
This is what society told me I shoulddo and be and think and desire.
We start trying to control theoutcome to make it so this is
the expectation and these are thesteps I need to take to make it so.
(24:55):
This is control, right?
we're forcing and forcing.
I gotta take these classes,do this thing, do that thing.
And while you're doing thosethings, they may not feel very good.
You may not want to do the thing, butyou feel like I gotta suffer through
these things to get over here, andwhen I get over here, I'll be happy.
Then you get over there and you'relike, okay, where's the happy?
(25:17):
I did all the things.
I checked off all the boxes.
This is efforting.
This is control, this isthe realm of the brain.
The brain likes to control.
It likes to be measured.
It likes to know the outcome of thingsbecause of the job is to make sure
none of those outcomes is your death,
and so it needs to know this step is safe.
I could stay in this box and I'll be okay.
(25:38):
If I stay with the herd, I'll be okay.
That's how your brain thinks whenyou start to become authentic.
You're not with the herd anymore.
You're over here in no man's land.
There's nobody like you, right?
You are unique.
And so when you step into youruniqueness, it's like nobody around.
So it becomes a fear-based thing at first.
(26:00):
So remember when I do what I really wantto do, I'll be the only one thinking
it's a good idea, and that's okay.
Eventually, as people see the resultof your authenticity in the world.
They'll start to buy in.
And whether or not theybuy in, doesn't matter.
Others will buy in.
(26:21):
Because you're here to expressuniquely because there are people
that will resonate with that.
They will have their own uniqueness, butyou will be resonating with each other.
So perhaps there's some collaborationyou'll do, some type of partnership you'll
develop, a relationship you'll develop.
That's love, right?
Love is about community.
It's about relationships.
(26:43):
Even the word burnout is very descriptive.
When we think of burnout, we thinkthere was a light there, there
was fire there, and now it's notthere, in Eastern traditions,
they talk about the fire of life.
There's always a fire in the heart.
In fact, in traditional Chinese medicine,the element of the heart is fire.
(27:05):
They also talk about the dantian.
There are three of them.
The lower dantian is the seat of life.
There's a fire there.
The fire of life.
That element is the earthelement, but it's the main energy
of the body is stored there.
And there's the middle dantian, whichis the heart, and then there's the
upper dantian, which is the seatof intuition or the seat of spirit
(27:28):
in traditional Chinese medicine.
Burnout is when that fire goes out.
They talk about these sevenemotions that cause diseases in
traditional Chinese medicine.
Emotions are very much relatedto wellbeing or disease.
Even the name burnoutkinda means what it says.
We need to relight our fire, and inaddition to taking our brain with
(27:53):
us, being our authentic selves, wehave to take our bodies with us,
we can't be our authenticselves with a broken body.
When that fire goes out.
That means your metabolismis going out as well.
It's a mind, body, and spirit thing.
We have to reignite metabolism,reignite the fire of the body
(28:13):
and the fire of the spirit.
This is how we are wholly andcompletely our authentic selves.
we're not meant tosuffer through diseases.
We're not meant to feel unwell.
That's not why we're here.
Burnout comes when we try to controlthe outcomes of things out of fear.
(28:34):
Healing comes when we let lifelive through us when we're
on top of the wave, right?
And again, I do not swim,so I'm not a surfer.
So I am simply imagining what being asurfer might feel like.. I did skateboard,
I rollerblade, things like that.
That's a little different, right?
The ground's not moving underyou when you're doing that.
(28:56):
Whereas the ocean is verymuch in motion for a surfer.
You have to really be flexible.
So skiing might make more sensebecause the terrain is, all over
the place when you're skiing.
You have to go with the flow, bevery adaptable, otherwise, you are
going to face plant in the snow.
Letting life live through youby being authentically who you
(29:16):
are is the path out of burnout.
And so what does livinglife through you look like?
So on a small scale, when I wasmeeting my daughter for brunch this
weekend, I had my whole path planned.
I was going to take the bus to thisvery specific train stop, and then I was
going to meet her in Columbus Circle.
Did all of it somehow managed tomiss the bus because sometimes in our
(29:39):
building, we literally stop on everyfloor all the way down to the bottom.
And I live in a high rise,on one of the higher floors.
I missed the bus literally by seconds.
I could have gotten pissed, right?
Because that meant I was going to be late.
But I just had the intuitive reminder,Hey, let's use this as one of those
times when we let life live throughus, So I started walking to the, train
(30:03):
station instead of taking the bus.
Then I ran into the Mexican day parade,like, so the entire street was blocked.
The bus had to be diverted.
So then I realized that'swhy I'm not on the bus.
And so I waited a little bitand I'm like, they're not going
to let us cross the street.
So I just resigned myself right out.
(30:25):
I guess I'm going to be late textedmy daughter just to let her know.
I said, I gotta find myway around this parade.
I'll get there somehow.
I had another intuitive hit, just walkback a block from where you just came.
And so I did, I walked and then boom,there was a train station there, the six
train, the four train I think it was.
And so I was like, oh,can I take this train?
(30:46):
And I just mapped it out real quick andsure enough, yes, I could take the train.
I had to go in the opposite direction tocome back north, but I got there on time.
Just another example of things don'talways unfold the way we expect, but
sometimes they're not meant to and we letlife live through us and go with the flow.
(31:07):
How do we do that on a large scale?
The reality is we kind of can't, right?
We don't get the entireroadmap in one city.
So it's like what we talked about twopodcasts ago is like breadcrumbs, right?
You get the next step.
But if you're guided by what is my highestexpression, what brings me the most joy?
(31:31):
You get that next step and thenyou get the step after that.
Now, you might have a sense of,I want to be an artist as my
highest expression of myself.
You might get a sense thatI want to be a healer as the
highest expression of myself.
Or a scientist or amathematician or whatever it is.
(31:51):
So you might have that sense of it, butwe don't get to know how we get there.
We just get to know how do I expressmyself in the most authentic way that I
can in every possible moment that I can.
That's the surefire way toget to the thing that we know.
Is our highest calling, but we don't getto know what that looks like on a moment
(32:13):
by moment basis, which is a mind screw asfar as we're all concerned, like we like
to know first I do this, then I do that,then I do this, then I do this right?
When I want it to be a doctor.
There were all these check boxes.
I knew exactly this isfirst, then this, then this.
Then that's how your brainwants to think of things, but
that's not how life actually is.
(32:34):
Just like me trying to get toColumbus Circle to have brunch
with my daughter, ended up notlooking anything like I planned.
That's kind of how life is, butyou still get to the end point.
You just don't get to control how ithappens, and that's the biggest lesson
we learn, that love infinitely expresses.
(32:55):
And, what is that saying?
man makes plans and God laughs.
Our brain is always limiting us.
When we think we're going tocontrol how something happens, we're
actually limiting our possibilities.
When we allow the heart to be the leader,the possibilities become way beyond
(33:16):
what our brain can even imagine ourbrain is actually designed to follow
our heart, not the other way around.
It's not, I'm going to check off allthe boxes first, then I'll be happy.
It's the other way around.
This brings me joy.
This is what I want to do.
And then the brain follows.
That's how we get out of burnoutonce and for all for good.
(33:36):
Now again, there will be.
Snags because we're human, right?
So we can't perfectly followevery breadcrumb and every
synchronicity flawlessly.
But that's part of it too, every timesomething happens, when we fall into
burnout, for example, it's a gift.
It's a lesson.
What do I get to learn from this?
Where was I not being authentic in mylife, that now I get to be more authentic?
(34:02):
Every, quote unquote negativething that might happen is a
potential lesson to be learned.
How was I restricting myself?
How was I not being authentically myselfin that moment that led to that thing?
Whether it's stubbing your toe orgetting fired from a job or anything
that might happen, it's still a lessonwhere was I not being present in my life?
(34:24):
It's empowering to know that I get tocreate my life when I'm authentic, that
happens a lot more smoothly becausethe snags come one way or the other.
The snags come whether we'rebeing authentically ourselves or
whether we're living society's,expectation of ourselves.
It's just that we get to be happyon this side when we're at least

being authentically ourselves here.
The happiness never seems to showup, and that's the big difference.
So it's not that we're just goingto skip off into the sunset when
we're authentically ourselves.
It's simply that we're going to havemuch more self-empowerment, much
more satisfaction and fulfillmentin knowing this is me and I get to

do what I love despite the snacks.
So here's the vision that I'm hopingthat you've gotten from today's podcast.
And that is burnout's not an end.
Burnout is not a failure.
It's the beginning.
It's a wake up call.
It's a gift.
It's your soul reminding you thatyou've simply strayed off the

path of being your authentic self.
It's a reminder that you are loved,that creation itself is love, and
that life is meant to be an expressionof that love in your own unique way.
The meaning of life is in plain sight.
It's everywhere, in every ancienttext, in the latest scientific

experiments, and within ourselves inour own hearts, that is inevitably
the conclusion that we come to.
So burnout is simply a forgetting.
The way out is to remember who you are.
