Deutschland zählt europaweit zu den Ländern mit der höchsten Steuer- und Abgabenlast, gerade für Gering- und Durchschnittsverdienende. Dennoch landet das Land bei der Lebenszufriedenheit laut aktueller Studie nur im Mittelfeld. Viele empfinden die Gegenleistung als unzureichend.
Die Untersuchung fordert deshalb eine gerechtere Steuerpolitik für mehr sozialen Zusammenhalt und Vertrauen ins System.
