Speaker 1 (00:01):
No to Bret McMillan with the Panthers postgame show preseming
by Southern Star un official bourbon of the Carolina Panthers
celebrate the spirit of the Carolinas.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
And it's a merry Christmas in city. Panther Land indeed.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Is handing out.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
Christmas for the Airs on the Cardinals coal for you.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
There you go, No playoffs for you, No playoffs, well yeah,
no playoffs for the.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
Car And you hit a Juba. Wow, you can hear her.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
There in the fifth quarter of North Lounge here at
the stadium.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
North Lounge.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Oh yeah, I'm marrying Mary Lounge. It's it's very merry
here at the North Lounge here at Bank of America
Stadium for the fifth quarter of the Panthers winning in
overtime thirty six to thirty their fourth winner of the year, last.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Home game of the year. Gentlemen, Eugene Robins and Mike Pachico.
What better way to wrap things up on the home
schedule this year. Wow, I'll tell you what I think.

Speaker 5 (01:06):
Coach has been talking about the word finish all year long,
and this is really apropos this, this is what we saw.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
We saw a finish.

Speaker 5 (01:13):
The defense really held their own in this, you know,
in the in the overtime period and then the offense
getting the ball back and just the confidence to move
down the field to run the ball the effectively. And
you heard the chant of a tuba, but beyond tuba,
offensive line, the tight ends, the blocking, all the things
that happened to free things up. It was absolutely outstanding.

(01:35):
So this was a great way to finish here at
Bank of America Stadium at the end of the season
for US.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
Wow. One of the good ways in the game.

Speaker 6 (01:44):
And I thought Bryce Young was terrific, outstanding this game.
And remember late in the game that one play where
they put the blitz on and he got the pass
off to Tommy Trumble and just smacked him the face.
I don't even know how he got that football off
finally exactly.

Speaker 5 (01:57):
That was the fourth down. That was like a fourth quarter. Yeah,
right in the face. He got smacked. And then they
blissed again on the opposite side and he throws a
test down to more I'm gonna say, my goodness, and
it was a dime that he dropped in this Jos.
I thought he played extremely well, no doubt about that.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
Well.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
And you know, the last week, we asked the question,
they'd had five good games in a row, and then
Dallas came and we asked the question, was it an
anomaly or was it a trend? And I think they
answered the question today.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
It was an anomaly.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
They bounced back today and they looked more like the
team that we had seen the previous five weeks.

Speaker 5 (02:34):
And Bryce looked like the quarterback that we thought we
would have. I mean, just this decision making in the
pocket wasn't a run when not to run? He had
sixty eight yards, but you think he almost had like
one hundred yards. How he was eluding people. And then
just the passes that he threw today under Durest getting
hit and still completing the ball, getting the ball out.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
Typically this what happened.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
You have three point two seconds to throw the ball
from the tying the ball to snack. If it's not
thrown in that typically your quarterbacks on his back right.
The ball came out very quickly. There were a couple
of blitzes right in his face right around one point
nine to two seconds. Run around that time and man
bow of dime to bow of dime, no more. I'm like, dude,
this dude is on fire right now, the way he's

(03:17):
commanding his team right now. So true, I'm not true,
but but Bryce, man, my hat's off to you. Do
you play some outstanding football today?

Speaker 2 (03:25):
And Bryce stubbish today? You know, he wasn't asked to
carry this team today. Seventeen of twenty six for one
hundred and fifty eight yards, two touchdowns. But to your point, Eugene,
he rushed five times for sixty eight yards, including a
thirty four yard or he rushed for a touchdown. He
threw for two touchdowns, and then you know when they
needed the yards stuff yards. Cube is the guy that
came up twenty five, carries one hundred and fifty two yards.

(03:48):
He ends up with six point one yards of carrying
two touchdowns.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
Wow, and that's over one thousand yards. He has over
one thousand yards this season of course, right.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
Oh oh yeah, he already thinked that a couple weeks ago. Yeah.
And here's another key.

Speaker 6 (03:58):
You know, how many times do we see this year
where the team would be closed, but then the Panthers
would fall behind and then had to chase back they
were in the lead time, Arizona had to chase the
Panthers all pretty much for the entire game, and they
kicked that late field goal to send the game into overtime.
But they put a lot of pressure on Arizona to
try and come back, and they Arizona had to do it.
Uh the second for the most part of the second
half of out. James Conner, their outstanding running back, got hurt.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
I mean, here's a beast, There's no doubt about that.

Speaker 5 (04:22):
But I still think even with his ability, I think
the outcome will still be the same because we were
playing a really good ball offensively and also we were
in that bend but don't break mode defensively a little bit.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
So I know they put thirty points on.

Speaker 5 (04:36):
Us, but it wasn't where they could actually got the testdowns.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
They were getting some field goals there.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
I mean, we can nitpick, if you know, and at
some point we've a few times, yes we have, you
know that there was no need for overtime. You think
about the missed extra point, absolutely that there's your there's
your tie game, and then going and not throwing a
pass on third and three late in the fourth quarter
when he could have made arizonn use their last time

(05:01):
out by running the ball. And yeah, I think a
lot of us questioned why you would throw the ball
at that point, especially when you got Choop in the backfield.

Speaker 5 (05:09):
Yeah, because for them, coach Kanal, is that little third
down play with a quick little out that's like a
running play for most teams. If you can get the
ball out quickly. Well, quarterback, that's a really accurate boom.
That's the easy catching pitch. And so really a third
and three pass is like a longest it run.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
So that's why he chose to do that.

Speaker 5 (05:28):
But the downside on that is that if you don't
complete it, and you'll stop the clock, and now you
give the guys a chance.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
And so unfortunately we didn't know we didn't complete it.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Yeah, I would have seen that, would rather the same
rother ball, keep the calo absolutely.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
Burned?

Speaker 5 (05:42):
Yeah, exactly. I mean I thought that would be the right,
you know, the right thing to get and do. And
if I was coaching, I would have said, we're gonna
run the ball at two.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Because two was a beast man. I don't care.

Speaker 6 (05:52):
Arizona had some question about timeout calls too late, and
they yeah, they maybe let the clock run down a
little bit too much, because just look what happened to you.
What if they had a couple more plays exactly or
get it made it closer.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
Now he kicks the field goal.

Speaker 6 (06:04):
Ryland kicks the field goal, but if he missed it,
that would have been a big second guest right there.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Well, because they had tons of side information because you
pointed out Pallarti had been in Charlotte all year long.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Yes, what is the special team coach at Charlie coach.

Speaker 6 (06:16):
Yep, yep, And we have one of the offensive linemen
from the conference champions, Connor clind then and joining his
series shadowing Us the Future Future broadcast or he'll be
on the set here maybe someday.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
But uh yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
At the beginning of the year was four.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
I said he's gonna go to college first, and then.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
Yeah, put him back to school. Man, he's in school.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Parson clearly about Polarti and so they can give him
inside information at the Panthers.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Well that was like four years. Yeah, but he's been
in town. He's been no. But how about that. I mean,
that's player has all kind of inside different What a great.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Story that is.

Speaker 6 (06:46):
I mean he's spending all season as a high school
coach and then the last seasons a couple weeks of
the year.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
He's going to be an NFL CAA.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
That's great. Back to being an NFL he wasn't absolutely
absolutely great. That's a great story. We know how much
you guys making retirement. Not too much, well.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Not yet right, Yeah, cut the bargain agreement, man like

Seven nothing over the Bills. Patriots have the ball right down,
Drake May just running for a first down. Seattle in Minnesota,
all even from Woomen Fields.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Piece.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
Yeah, Jacksonville is at Las Vegas.

Speaker 6 (08:12):
Last time the Panthers scored thirty six points was against
the Raiders in Las Vegas. Miami at home, a three
nothing lead over San Francisco from the early games. Washington
scores a late touchdown Jayden Daniels to Jamison Wow. Played here,
well played at Duke nine yard touchdown. Jalen Hurts got
hurt in that game, had a concussion. Washington wins thirty

(08:33):
six thirty three over Philadelphia, So the Eagles cannot clinch
the NFC East this week. Rams over the Jets nineteenth.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Years scattered applause there, Well, yeah, is that a Giants fan?

Speaker 7 (08:44):
No?

Speaker 4 (08:44):
No, let's see.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
But that might have just been like an invertent whistle.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
That one that was No. I think that was I
think she hates the Eagles.

Speaker 7 (08:55):
He was just slice.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
She was just clapping of foot proof clapping. Yeah right,
I'm with you there clapp before proval. There you go.
Yeah that or she's a commander's fan one of the other.

Speaker 6 (09:02):
Matthew Stafford throws for one hundred and ten yards, but
the Rams beat the Jets nineteen to nine.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
Bet Live Stadium, Cincinnati.

Speaker 6 (09:10):
Joe Burrow twenty three of thirty two and fifty two
yards throws for three touchdowns.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (09:14):
Cincinnati knocks off Cleveland twenty four to two six. Indianapolis
Anthony Richardson seven eleven, one hundred and thirty one yards
some games, not a lot of passing, but Jonathan Taylor
had two hundred eighteen.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
Jonathan Taylor was absolute beast hard.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Yeah, he ran it hard.

Speaker 6 (09:29):
So Indianapolis the big win at home thirty eight thirty
over tennis See Detroit. Wallaps Chicago thirty four to seventeen.
Jared Goff three hundred and thirty six yards in the air,
three touchdowns, no interceptions, and uh Atlanta knocks off the
Giants thirty four seventeen. Michael Pennix eighteen of twenty seven
tw hundred two yard did have an interception, but Bejon

(09:49):
Robinson ran for ninety four yards.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
Yeah, okay, well we got b Sewn Robinson. He's a
he's a Joe.

Speaker 6 (09:54):
So thirty four to seven in the final MA game.
We have a couple games to talk about tonight Tomorrow night.
Tampa BA is at Dallas. That's Sundy Night football. New
Orleans is at Green Bay on Monday night.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Four.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
Oh wow, okay, some consequential games.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Of course, Tampa Bay next up for the Panthers next
Sunday in Tampa. So, yes, you know we were talking
about you have mentioned Cincinnati, and Mike and I looked
up during the game because this Panthers scored on back
to back drives the first two times they had the
ball touchdowns. The last time the Panthers scored touchdowns the
consecutive drives was in that Bengals game.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
Okay, yes, year.

Speaker 6 (10:26):
And so the last time they had was the three
consecutive touchdown drives.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
You have to go all the way back to December
thirty of twenty eighteen.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
Wow, we look look, we looked really good today.

Speaker 5 (10:38):
I mean I thought from the offensive standpoint, the continuity
of the line, how well they blocked. I mean they
blocked extremely well. If your quarterback is managing the game
as well as he did, and your running back has
one hundred and thirty eight yards, that means the guys
up front are busting people in the mouth.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
And don't beget on that one that toeschdown run. They
loaded the box man.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
They had like nine people at the line of scrimmage right,
and so we took care of nine people and then
Tupa went through.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
Two of them.

Speaker 5 (11:05):
Oh my goodness, dude, I mean just ran right through
the corner and the safety as it was coming up.
So look off as a line. You get my props, dude.
I thought you played extremely well as a group. I
thought early in the game.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
I thought for the first quarter and a half, the
defensive backfield played extremely well. Yeah, because Murray was having
a hard time finding people.

Speaker 5 (11:25):
I'll tell you what one young man to look out
for is Richardson. Richard Damian Richardson. In my opinion, he's
one of the better safeties. I know he's just a rookie,
but he's always around the ball. This guy is always
around the ball. And wonder mark of a good free
safety is if you are near the ball, no where
the ball's coming out at.

Speaker 4 (11:44):
You can make tackles, you can make.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
Forest fummos, you can get interceptions. He got an interception today.
He got beat on a test down because he didn't
communicate with Jase Horn.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
But on a switch call. He'll learn that. But I'm
looking at this guy.

Speaker 5 (11:58):
He tackles well open fields, his head's up, he's not
making big mistakes, and then he's making plays on an interception.
I'm like, dude, I'm looking forward to him next year
being the guy at safety.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
There's no doubt about it in my opinion.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Still ahead, we'll have a highlights of today's ball game,
but also here from Dave Canallis as well.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
So stay with us.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
You're listening to Panthers Football presented by Morris Jenkins.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
What no prefatilla with the Panthers postgame show exclusively on
the Carolina Panthers this radio network.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Hey, welcome back along with Mike Pachico, you and g
Robinson Brett mcbill. Glad to have you here from the
fifth quarter at Bank of America Stadium, where the Panthers
celebrating in overtime win thirty six to thirty.

Speaker 5 (13:13):
Okay, let the crowd decide who's the hardest working player?

Speaker 4 (13:16):
All right, Hey, we got a question for you guys.
All right, everybody, put your beer down and listen up.
All right, who we got?

Speaker 2 (13:23):
We gotta have the hardest working player of the game,
which is presented by Sunbelt Rentals, the official retal equipment
part of the Carolina Panthers. We're having a debate here
in the stage. Who was the hardest working player today?
For those of you that think it was Bryce Young,
let's hear for Bryce Young.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
Okay, all right, all right.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
How about Hubbard? I think Tooba Hubbard.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
Thank Chumba Hubbardhubbed is the hardest working player. Chuba Hubbard
gets the hardest that player of the games. All right,
do your care of that, all right? Thank you?

Speaker 4 (13:52):
Thank you. Thank you very much.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
We appreciate that. All right, that's a care of that. Hey,
let's go through some of the highlights from today's ball game.
You know, the Panthers early came out, you remember last
week against Dallas, came out and absolutely dominated that first
drive of the gamest, same type thing today. The Panthers
got the ball after Arizona and went down the field

(14:14):
fifteen plays right, seventy yards, seven point fifty eight off
the clock. Only threw the ball four times.

Speaker 4 (14:22):
That was it. And here's how it ended.

Speaker 7 (14:30):
Length the opening drive pistol set covered the running back
Cooker in motion, snap hand off, Cuba, bangs it left,
cuts it back inside, rolling two of the end zone,
and in for a touchdown.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
Cuba. That's why he's the hardest working man. That's why
he's the hardest working Good job.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
All right, Panthers gave up a field goal, then got
the ball back and another nice drive.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
This was six plays seventy yards.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Bryce you Young had a thirty four four yard scramble
during this drive.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
And also this.

Speaker 7 (15:06):
Third down about eight to go from the twenty three
Young out of the shotgun, three receivers a triangle set
right chest high snack. Young steps up with the pocket,
has root to run again. He's got for twenty five.
He's got the twenty outside the numbers, he's got the
ten five angles.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
Near left corner of the end zone for a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
All right, Panthers recover a fumble at the thirty yard line.
Only it takes four plays for Bryce Young to do this.

Speaker 7 (15:31):
Third down a goal for up the eight empty set.
Young in the gun, Cardinals rush four rice to throw
back right corner en zone, feeling open, reaches up, makes
the catch, touchdown Panthers.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
He didn't have to check his feet on that one. No, no,
not at all.

Speaker 5 (15:49):
And also on that little corner off that we're talking
about in the back of the end zone, there was
a guy in the flat that came up that two
of the opposing team. They went to the guy in
the flat, leaving a big voiding the back for the
safety to cover, and Finland just ends up an easy testtyle,
easy pitching catch by Bryce.

Speaker 4 (16:05):
That made it twenty to three.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Arizona was able to come back make it twenty to
seventeen at the half, including a phantom pass interference.

Speaker 4 (16:11):
Call in the end zone. Yeah, yeah, we yeah, it
was a pass that was about forty feet.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
In the air and then the Panther hit him after
it went into the stands and they called pass interference.

Speaker 4 (16:23):
We're still trying to figure that one out, Eugene, Yeah,
I was figured out.

Speaker 9 (16:26):
It was what j C.

Speaker 5 (16:26):
Holmes Richardson Jase Holan kind of held it a little bit,
but not really not and then yeah, okay, yeah, it's
a very interesting call, very interesting call.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
So they so they get it to twenty three seventeen
after Pinero field goal. The Cardinals answered with the field
goal themselves, and then the Panthers early in the fourth
quarter went on another nice drive.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
Bryce. This is where we talked about.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Bryce had a pass to Tremble where he absolutely blown
up after he threw the ball, and then he threw
another hu. This is we're talking about the dime. Yes more,
that was just unbelievable.

Speaker 7 (17:07):
Katie Sanders, motion's right.

Speaker 9 (17:09):
He's in a stack with Coker.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
Trembled.

Speaker 7 (17:13):
The tight end has made a couple of big catches
on this drive. Play Clop almost hit zero. Here's the
blitz throw deep down the left sideline for the end zone.

Speaker 8 (17:21):
David Moore brings it in and then chucks the ball
into the stands touchdown.

Speaker 4 (17:27):
Carolina Anis said, here comes the blitz.

Speaker 5 (17:29):
The Blisz was coming off the left hand side right
into the face of Bryce. So Bryce has to stand
there and get rid of that ball with the quickness,
and he got rid of that.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
Ball with like within two seconds.

Speaker 9 (17:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
Great, here's a beautiful great all right. That made it
thirty to twenty.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
The Cardinals were able to get back, got back within
three and had this opportunity with a couple of seconds
left on the clock.

Speaker 7 (17:58):
This will be at eight yarder, a career long for
the second year kicker from Maryland from the far hash
kicking right to left snap hold, Ryland.

Speaker 4 (18:09):
Sends it away.

Speaker 8 (18:10):
Will it get there? It does as time expires to
tie the game at thirty.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
So overtime.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Yeah, so we go to ouch. Indeed, so we go
to overtime. Panthers get the ball first, can't do anything
with it. Bryce got sacked, great punt, the backs up
the Cardinals to their own ten yard line. Panthers got
a sack, a fourteen yard loss Josie Jules great sack
to put Murray back at the nine yard line, and

(18:44):
the punt got the Panthers into cardinal territories. You're thinking, gosh,
you need fifteen, maybe only ten yards to get into
field goal range.

Speaker 4 (18:54):
Chuba took care of that pretty fast.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Twenty eight yards on the first play, and then this
on the second play.

Speaker 7 (19:02):
Three tight ends to the right. Here's the snap, the
gift Hubbard over the right.

Speaker 8 (19:05):
Side, wake so tackle ten, five high step touchdown. Suba
Hubbard had the Panthers win it overtime, game winning twenty
one yard run by Suba Hubbard.

Speaker 4 (19:20):
Sweet Caroline.

Speaker 7 (19:21):
One more time in.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Twenty twenty four, the last at Cuba, Hubbard one hundred
and fifty two yards. On the day his second touchdown. Hey,
you can hear the crowd, and don't.

Speaker 5 (19:32):
Forget remember it was against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Chuban
was running the ball. It looked like we're about to
score and he end up fumbling by him. He felt
so bad. Yeah, we're so so bad. This was a
really redemption I think for Cuba. Hubberd absolute redemption.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
Yeah, absolutely, yeah, Cuba and that it was one of
those times. You know, it's funny you were talking to
people the week after that, Paul, he wouldn't carry the ball. No,
he was carrying the ball hard. He had both hands
on you. Yeah, he was the guy ripped the back.
When you rip the ball out.

Speaker 3 (20:01):
Sometimes the defense makes place.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
Yeah, sometimes the other team makes plays. They just do
absolutely all right.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
Before we take a break, We're gonna take ten second
break for station identification on the Carolina Panthers or radio network. Hi,
still ahead. We'll hear from the head coach. They're from
players as well. Get the final thoughts from Jim, A.
Niche and Luke. So stay with us here on the
Carolina Panthers Radio Network. Lots of wonderful presidents under the

(20:26):
tree from Carolina Panther fans today as they pick up
a thirty six thirty overtime win over the Arizona Cardinals
to go to four and ten on the year and
to to get the Arizona a serious blow.

Speaker 4 (20:38):
To their hopes.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
And you know, the Panthers now have the opportunity to
play spoiler the next two weeks as well as they
take on Tampa and Atlanta on the road as those
teams are battling for the NFC South titles. So we'll
see how this all plays out. Well, you know, Eugene,
you've been talking about that offensive line and how well
they played the same, churning out two hundred and forty
three rushing yard during the course of the we're gonna

(21:00):
hear for one of those offensive linemen is the Panthers' locker.

Speaker 4 (21:03):
Room show starts.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
It's brought to you by Southern Star at official bourbon
of the Carolina Panthers celebrate the spirit of the Carolinas.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
Let's go to jim a niche and look with one
of those offensive linemens. Guys.

Speaker 10 (21:13):
Thanks, and we're joined by Ikey Ikuanu, Panthers left tackle.
As this game ends on the positive side for the
Panthers went back and forth thirty six thirty in overtime
over the Cardinals. VICKI, I know, like us, you guys
probably thought you had this game won a couple different times.
But how did it feel watching number thirty run into
that end zone at the very end?

Speaker 11 (21:32):
Yeah, it felt good. It felt great, honestly, just winning
the game like that. Obviously a lot of adversity, a
lot of back and forth, but you know, to put
the nail on the coffin, you know, on the ground,
it definitely means a lot.

Speaker 7 (21:41):
Ikey and nish here, what does it say about this
team with the way you guys responded after last week.

Speaker 11 (21:50):
Yeah, I mean, we just wore a team that's gonna
fight to the end. You know, we take games one
week at a time. Obviously, you know, disappointed in the
way we performed last week, so that was a big
point emphasis. You know, we want to especially being the
last game at home this season, you know, we definitely
want to end the season of the home season on
the right note.

Speaker 9 (22:06):
And I definitely feel like we did that today.

Speaker 7 (22:08):
One of the things that we keep talking about up
here just watching is the toughness of your quarterback Bryce Young.
When you watch Bryce Young and you're protecting his blind side,
can you speak to that toughness element that he brings
to the table.

Speaker 9 (22:23):
Yeah, Bryce is a dog. Bryce is a dog.

Speaker 7 (22:25):
You know.

Speaker 11 (22:26):
Obviously he's not scared of a lower shoulder and on
somebody over if he needs to anytime the balls in
his hand, we know we got a shot. So definitely
big shot out to Bryce. He's definitely grown a lot
this year Thankey.

Speaker 4 (22:36):
Congratulations.

Speaker 12 (22:37):
Just kind of talk about you guys up front of
the offensive line, you five guys and obviously Brady Christiansen
stepping in on short notice and just the toughness, to physicality,
the attitude that you guys have. We really leaned on you,
you guys up front today and you guys help us
win that game.

Speaker 11 (22:52):
Yeah, you know, we definitely want to be an engine
to this team, an offensive line. You know, we definitely
want to be the guys that you know, when the
game's on the line, you put the ball eat. He
trusts us, you know, you run behind us, do what
you gotta do. Back the end of the day, you
trust us to make the right play, and you definitely
got to stide that coach canal List. You know, I
feel like he definitely, you know, you know, put the
ball in their hands a little bit obviously. You know
we can't run the ball ourselves, but he trusted us

(23:12):
enough to block for Cuba, and Cuba did the rest
of the work for us. And you know, I definitely
appreciate the trust he has in us.

Speaker 10 (23:18):
Thanks real quick. I know you guys are showing win
to lose. Your guys are gonna swing that sword. Didn't
play hard, but to get the reward to get the
win after not getting the last four it it's gotta
be some positive momentum.

Speaker 11 (23:27):
Right, Yeah, definitely definitely, definitely feels good to finish what
we did today. Obviously that's been that's been the main
talking point in the last couple of weeks. You know,
we've we've been right there, but we haven't quite finished
where we wanted to. So fat we finished today with
the w means the world to us.

Speaker 4 (23:40):
Awesome.

Speaker 10 (23:40):
Thank you, Merry Christmas and enjoy the holidays.

Speaker 9 (23:42):
Man Christmas Youtuo, I appreciate it.

Speaker 10 (23:44):
Ikey Akwanu, Panthers got a win. As we said it
back down to Brett, Mike and Eugene.

Speaker 4 (23:49):
Yeah, great job today.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
I mean Bryce, as you guys talked about with under
a lot of pressure today, Eugene and Mike. But you know,
he was sacked three times, but he was able. You know,
they left routes for him to escape. Yeah, and he
was able to do so effectively. And we talked about
the yards he was able to rush today. He carried
the ball five times for sixty eight yards, including a
thirty four yard or add a touchdown. So I mean,

(24:10):
I think as part of the offensive line, when you
have a quarterback who has the ability to scramble, is
to be able to leave him escape routes.

Speaker 5 (24:17):
You know, he was extremely elusive today, and so even
with the sacks, they had a hard time trying to
Bryce Shum because sometimes he would drop back and he
would go out one side and he would flip immediately
to the other side. And just knowing that that is
the place of egress where you can go ahead and escape.

Speaker 4 (24:35):
And I'm sitting there a while.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
His instincts are really home right now. And so Bryce,
once again, he played exceptionally well in the pocket, maneuvering
in the pocket and making things happen and then getting
the ball out quickly. He got the ball out quickly
and he eluded people the way you needed to do.

Speaker 4 (24:52):
So hats off. He did an amazing job.

Speaker 7 (24:55):
You know.

Speaker 6 (24:55):
And John wouldn't used to talk about be quick, but
don't be in a hurry. And I think sometimes when
he would run or scramble in the past, he was
in a hurry and he.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
Wasn't necessary quick.

Speaker 6 (25:04):
Now he's running with purpose, even when it's to scramble
and what it's not really design, He's still running with purpose,
maybe running with confidence.

Speaker 4 (25:11):
Absolutely, And I want.

Speaker 5 (25:12):
To say something that quickly about Cuba Hubbart that when
we talked about the Tampa Bay the fumble one and
then they end up uh kicking the ball, kicking a
field goal or whatever to beat us. UH coach Canalis
had said, and we asked him, Hey, what are your
worst at Cuba? My worst at Cuba was, Hey, get ready,
because we're gonna count on you again. We're coming right
back to you. I mean, and what a just what

(25:35):
a great endorsement. Yeah, a great endorsement on this young
man in his ability, because they came back to him.
He ran through people and he held the ball two hands,
running through two people. Don't don't let that be lost
on you a little bit, right, He ran through two people,
scored a testdown to win the game.

Speaker 6 (25:51):
Well, don't forget Tom Brady used to throw interceptions and
he was still back in there.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
Absolutely.

Speaker 6 (25:55):
You know, sometimes you put the guy back out there
immediately just to exactly forget about it.

Speaker 4 (25:59):
Just back out there and give us, give us some
more yards we need to chew. No doubt, man, he
played well. Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
This injury report brought to you by Atrium Health. You
deserve to live your best life, and Atrium Health is
here to help. The good news is coming out of
this game. As far as we know, no pants suffered
injuries today. There were some of the Cardinals side, but
they got it hard with the injury. Nothing that we
were aware of. The Panthers. Yeah, one of them, I
think probably the biggest one they suffered today was James Connors. Yeah,

(26:26):
he had one hundred and eleven yards the first half,
nine point nine point carry.

Speaker 4 (26:30):
Yes, it was. The Panthers were doing a nice job
at the beginning of the second.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
Half until he suffered that knee injury, and they were
doing a much better job in the second half.

Speaker 4 (26:38):
Of they did in the first half.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
And uh, you know, kind of focusing on a little
bit that he suffered the knee injury and that was
it for been a forced the Cardinals to change their
offensive plan a little bit.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
Sure, So there you go.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
All right, still ahead, we'll hear from the head coach
Dave Canalis. We'll also go over stats and we'll do
that and we come back. You're listening to Panthers Football
presented by Morris Jenkins.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
Back to the Panthers post game show preseamly by Southern
Star unofficial bourbon of the Carolina pan Theies celebrate the
spirit of the Carolinas.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
Hey, welcome back, Panthers postgame show, as the band said,
preceded by Southern Start official Burbot of the Carolina Panthers
celebrate the spirit of the Carolina as long with the
Geene Robinson by Pachico.

Speaker 4 (27:20):
I'm Brett McMann.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
Let's look at some of the stats froom today's thirty
six thirty overtime win by the Carolina Panthers. Bryce Younk
today seventeen of twenty six for one hundred and fifty
eight yards and two touchdowns and a quarterback rating whatever
the heck that means of what was seven point five.

Speaker 4 (27:36):
We'll check that though.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
By contrast, Kyler Murray just a seventy seven point nine.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
Yeah, because of that interception. There you go. Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
Also today Chewba Hubard, we talked about him, what a
great day. He had twenty five carries, one hundred and
fifty two yards at six point one yards of carry,
two touchdowns, including all forty nine yards in overtime on
that final drive. Bryce Younk five carry sixty eight yards
including the touchdown. Raheem Blackshear three carries for thirteen yards.

(28:05):
Thompsons had one for nine, Boone had one for one,
and David Moore had one.

Speaker 4 (28:10):
Carry for no yards.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
Receiving it was Adam thieland had five catches for forty
three yards. Moore had two for thirty nine. Tremble had
three for thirty two. By the way, DeLand and Moore
both had touchdowns. China had one catch for twenty three yards,
Hubbard had four for thirteen yards, and Cocher had two
catches for eight yards. Leading tackler today was WindMan. Four tackles,

(28:34):
four assists and eight combined, and he had one of
the three sacks the Panthers had today.

Speaker 4 (28:41):
That is Jacoby Winman. And these are names.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
That's the thing I think you know when you have injuries,
it's opportunities, yep. And these are names that we didn't
know at the beginning of the year, and now you're
starting to see these guys get some playing time, right
and giving them an opportunity to make names for themselves
and to get themselves spots for next year year.

Speaker 4 (29:00):
Ashawn Robinson also had a.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
Sack, and Juicy Jewell had a sack, and Robinson was
the guy. Ashawn Robinson had seven tackles himself today and
then at six tackles she had Woods, Richardson Jackson and
jewel and matter of fact, him, Jack was having a
it was in the defensive backfield.

Speaker 5 (29:19):
Absolutely had a couple of pass breakups. So it was
some really good collective ball all around. And I'm glad
to see that the secondary is starting to round in
a little bit because it's going to be important as
you move into next season. As like I said, once again,
I got my own Richardson.

Speaker 4 (29:35):
Yeah, I got an eye on neck hid And we.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
Mentioned James went to James Connery as briefly, he had
fifteen carries one hundred and seventeen yards and one touchdown,
and at halftime he had twelve carries for one hundred
and eleven yards. That was nine point three yards of carry,
and then he went out with the knee injury in
the second half.

Speaker 6 (29:54):
Yeah, And the Panthers it seemed like, you know, felt
like they had the game for the most part, right,
But statistically this game was right on the middle. This
was Cardinals twenty three first downs, Panthers twenty two. Third
down Cardinals six of thirteen forty six percent, Panthers six
of fourteen forty three percent. Total yards ten three eighty
two for the Cardinals, three ninety two for the Panthers.

(30:14):
You look at yards per passing play five yards for
the Cardinals, five point one for the Panthers. But this
is the big one, time of possession, the difference in
time of possession, and you don't see this very often.
Six seconds thirty third thirty three twenty four for the Cardinals,
thirty three eighteen thirty three minutes eighteen seconds for the Panthers.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
Think I've ever seen that before?

Speaker 3 (30:35):
No, no, I was gonna say that was pretty close.

Speaker 4 (30:37):
But I've also thought the penalties.

Speaker 5 (30:39):
I thought there were costly and I thought they really
hurt tremendously the Cardinals.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
Well didn they have eight in the first the first half.

Speaker 4 (30:48):
Yeah, the eighth penalty on the first play like the
second quarter, Yeah, crazy, Wow, that's crazy. And that helped
the Panthers a lot. I think early on help them.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
I don't know that it necessarily helps necessarily helps, not
in that opening drive, but I think this subsequent drives.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
I think it helped.

Speaker 5 (31:03):
Yeah, because if you look it from that perspective to Cardinals,
they're sitting there going, man, if we didn't have these penalties,
but would have won the game. That's what they're saying,
because they would derailt in that first half by so
much penalties and there you go. So that's the flip
side of that. They think they would have won the
game if they didn't have the penalties.

Speaker 4 (31:21):
Yep, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
All right, when we come back, we'll hear from the
head coach, Dave Canalis, So stay with us on the
Carolina Panthers Radio Network. Man, Welcome back to the fifth
quarter at Bank of America Stadium in the Northlanz. We
are celebrating the Panthers thirty six thirty overtime win over
the Arizona Cardinals.

Speaker 4 (31:38):
And we're gonna head back to the booth.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
Where Jim and Aniche and Luke have caught up with
the head coach.

Speaker 10 (31:44):
All right, now we're joined by the head coach, Dave Canalis.
Graduations coach on the win. First of all, and you've
had some recurring themes and berbers throughout the year, and
you wanted about the ball today. There were no turnovers
by the Panthers and finish, and boy, did you guys
do that in overtime. I know you probably thought you
had a time or two in regulation, but to finish
and take care of the ball, all these things you

(32:05):
guys have all been preaching about. How did it feel
to have that all come together today?

Speaker 13 (32:08):
It was so good and you know, I can't you know,
say enough about just you know, some of the games
that we've had opportunities to finish and we didn't. But
all of those are learning lessons. All those are so
valuable for us as we continue to find our style
of football. And you hit it right on the head.
It was about the ball, you know, and they gave
it to us twice and we took care of it,
and that's like that's the starting point of it all,

(32:29):
you know. And then to be able to you know, execute,
you know from a defensive standpoint on the last drive
in overtime, knocking a few balls down and coming up
with a huge sack, you know, was was really good
for us. And of course for us, you know, we
always want to finish the games running the ball and
play to play to our style.

Speaker 9 (32:46):
Of football, and we were able to do that day.

Speaker 7 (32:48):
From your point of view, can you walk us through
the emotions of the end of regulation and then into overtime.

Speaker 13 (32:55):
Yeah, you know, it just like battling the whole way
and you know, the Cardinals to give them their due,
you know, they battled back from you know, from that
deficit early on in the game and and started we
started going you know, back and forth there. And for
them to have the execution and go all the way
down to the you know, forty yard line, call a
time out, you know, in a critical situation and make
a field goal was huge. To put the pressure on

(33:17):
us to be able to you know, try to find
a way to finish. So I love the challenge of it,
I love what it teaches us about our team about
doing right longer. And I'm so I was so glad
to get the finish in the win column this week.

Speaker 7 (33:28):
How would you best describe the journey of this team
from where it started to where it is now.

Speaker 13 (33:34):
Belief, you know, belief in the process, belief in our systems,
belief in doing things right and that it leads to success,
you know, and being able to show the guys that,
to give them something that they're proud of has been
the goal for this whole season. And and we just
try to take weekly progress on and face our issues
on Mondays, work at them, and then just go right
back at them the next week.

Speaker 12 (33:53):
Coach Luke here, congratulations. A lot of fun to watch
just talk about some of these young guys that stepped
up today, you know, and Shaw Smith, Wade and then
you know Brady's not a young guy but coming in
late at short notice to play center. Just these guys
that work so hard to practice and get a chance
to play and play well.

Speaker 13 (34:10):
Yeah, Luke, you know we talked about last night. Just
don't miss your shots. Don't miss your shot. You know,
when you get these opportunities, make the most of it.
And Demani did a great job today and came up
with a huge interception, you know, Shawsmith byde playing hard,
Jacoby Winman, you know, step in there at the linebacker
spot and making some great plays in space, coming downhill
on the run game and wrapping up and finishing his tackles.

(34:33):
You know, so he really showed us something as well.
So a bunch of guys just taking advantage of their opportunities.

Speaker 10 (34:38):
Well, congratulations coach on the payoff of getting that win.
Have a great holiday week and look forward to seeing
you guys in Tampa coming up next. All right, thanks guys,
coach Dave Canals. There's the Panthers and a four game
losing streak at their fourth win of the season and
a little mo menu heading into the two game road
trip coming up to close out the twenty twenty four campaigns.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
We said it back down the whole now with Brett,
Mike and Eugene. All Right, I appreciate your thoughts on
what the coach had to say. Egene, you know, I'm
glad for the coach.

Speaker 5 (35:05):
You know, he's always talking about the process, always talking
about finishing, talking about some of the uh, you know,
really trusting the process, and I.

Speaker 4 (35:13):
Think, you know what, if you're looking at it, grated him.

Speaker 5 (35:16):
He's really done a really good job, a very good
job because he stayed the course. He stayed the course
of what they want to do offensively and has paid
some dividends there. If you look at it, we could
have easily won maybe another three or four more games,
easily because we're in the thick of it. We're right
in the in the throes of it too. So this
has not been all bad season at all. And we

(35:39):
started to see a lot of things come to fruition
because he's trusting the process and so and this has
been a lot of young people who's stepped up. In
my opinion, there's a lot of young people on this
team who are who are been getting busy.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
And the thing that I find interesting and encouraging Mike is,
you know, despite the fact that you're sitting there at
four and ten now, the locker room still seems.

Speaker 4 (36:01):
To be behind it. Oh totally.

Speaker 3 (36:03):
And you know, it was interesting.

Speaker 6 (36:04):
I think there were a couple of times early on
in the year where he would come out and do
the interview after a tough loss, or maybe even a
blowout loss, and you're like, Wow, what's this tone gonna
be like? And you know, and I think sometimes like
old school, I think you might think, oh, man, you know,
he should be throwing chairs, he should be going Bobby Knight.
But no, no, I think the players have responded to that.
And I think the one thing that we can say

(36:26):
now here, even with four wins, right, that we could
not say after the first four or five games was
there wasn't any hope, I know, and if you can't
win games, you gotta have at least have hope or
something to say, you know what, the sun's gonna come
out tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (36:40):
And there were some games where it didn't look like that.

Speaker 5 (36:41):
You know, it's you're absolutely right, because yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 6 (36:46):
Well, I was going to I was gonna go Hamilton
because the players didn't throw away their shot at your
bottom dollar tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (36:52):
But you absolutely right them that too, because uh, he's
even kill and I feel that with Bryce we have
a chance to win the game. I didn't feel that
way earlier in the season, and he.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
Had We've talked about this. He had to sit behind
Andy Dolphins.

Speaker 5 (37:07):
Put the ball in his hands, and you're sitting there going,
you know what, hey, Okay, put it in his hands.

Speaker 4 (37:11):
I think we could go and score.

Speaker 6 (37:13):
And confidence, help, confidence and belief. Those three things are
starting to trend upward, and they we didn't. We weren't
in big quantities of those before.

Speaker 5 (37:21):
So the Dallas Cowboys was an anomalous game to your point,
back when we lost to Dallas, that wasn't the Carolina
Panthers that we've seen that last well but six weeks.

Speaker 3 (37:29):
And this is not a negative.

Speaker 4 (37:31):
But you are who you are, right, you are what
your record says you are.

Speaker 6 (37:33):
So I mean they're working towards getting better, but there's
gonna be days like that.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
Think about how we feel about Bryce Young and the
general public feeling about Bryce Young now versus the Chargers
game again.

Speaker 5 (37:46):
It's hope, Yeah, and here it is because you look
like it almost looks like Bryce has grown up before
our eyes and we're seeing his progress and we're appreciating
what's he's been doing, all the hard work he's been
doing behind the scenes. Get a chance to see that
right now, and it was no more evident in this game.
The way he moved in the pocket, the way he
got rid of the ball, taking some hard shots, also

(38:08):
running the ball effectively. That's the price that we saw
at Alabama. That's the price that we're going, Hey, we
can win with this guy.

Speaker 6 (38:15):
And there's not you know, and it's not his fault, right,
but there's when you're the first overall pick in the draft,
there's a different expectation. You better know that if he
were drafted in the fourth round, we would be thinking
we had lowe.

Speaker 3 (38:31):
It's just perception.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
I think we're seeing what we've talked about before. I
think what we're seeing is the NFL right now in
many cases, and I think maybe in most cases is
rushing these guys to be starters before they're ready. Sure,
that's what we saw. What happened when Bryce was able
to sit down and really take things in without the

(38:55):
pressure of having to start exactly.

Speaker 3 (38:58):
Agreed, No, I think.

Speaker 6 (38:59):
I mean, look, people were having some serious discussions and
your fans would come up to me after the first
couple of weeks, and it was serious, serious concern, a
lot of serious concern exactly about whether he was going
to even get back on the field with the Panthers exactly.

Speaker 3 (39:15):
And now he's he's back starting.

Speaker 4 (39:17):
And don't forget Andy Dalton got hurt. I think it
was like some car thing that.

Speaker 3 (39:21):
Happened in a car accident, the car accident with his.

Speaker 4 (39:22):
Family or not.

Speaker 5 (39:23):
He got it hurt. And so enters Bryce Young back in.
And one thing I thought that Andy may have taught him,
or at least that he had to observe. Andy gets
the ball off very very quickly. He diagnoses what the
defense is doing and the ball is out is out
very very fast.

Speaker 4 (39:39):
And we saw that today.

Speaker 2 (39:40):
Ye when we come back, we will get the final
thoughts of Jim A. Niche and look also gets you
up to day on what to on in the Lake
games in the National Football League.

Speaker 4 (39:48):
Just stay with us.

Speaker 2 (39:48):
You're listening to Panthers Football presented by Worris Jenkins.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
Back to Bred McMillan with more of the Panthers postgame
show prey seem by Southern Star Unofficial, The Carolina Panthers
celebrate the spirit of the Carolinas Yo.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
I's want to leave one more and the winning the
final home game leaves one more.

Speaker 4 (40:10):
You know what I did that today?

Speaker 2 (40:12):
Thirty six thirty in overtime on the Arizona Cardinals. Let's
head back to the booth and get the final thoughts
of jim Nyisha Luke.

Speaker 10 (40:18):
All right, and what a what a turn of events.
The Panthers thought they'd maybe got the game locked up
in regulation. Chad Ryland, though a fifty eight yard field
o career long as time expired sends it to overtime.
Panthers go three and out, Arizona gets the ball back,
big sack by Josie Jewles, sets up good field position
off a second punt attempt by Arizona, and then finally

(40:41):
Chuwpa Hubber just does it the old fashioned way. He
runs the ball thirty yards and another twenty one yards,
and in overtime the Panthers get the win. Chewba one
hundred and fifty two yards two touchdowns in the game,
a week after turning the ball over four times in
the loss of Dallas. Bryce Young does not turn the
ball over, two touchdown passes, great touch on so many
throws out the game, one hundred and fifty eight yards there,

(41:02):
But just all in all, just a well rounded victory
and a rare one to snap a four game losing
streak in a four and eleven season, but a nation
in some ways, it feels bigger than.

Speaker 4 (41:12):
Just one win and just one game. And we've been
looking to.

Speaker 10 (41:15):
Turn that corner, and it felt like last week it
was a setback against Dallas, but the way they responded
today and bounced back, it really gives you a lot
of hope moving into the last two games and then
what twenty twenty five.

Speaker 7 (41:26):
Hold, Yeah, there's no question. And if you take the
Dallas game out of it and you just go back
to the previous three Philly, Tampa, Kansas City, it felt
like an old road runner coyote skid.

Speaker 4 (41:39):
Right.

Speaker 9 (41:39):
You think you're.

Speaker 7 (41:40):
Gonna get there, You think you're gonna get there, and
then the anvil drops, then the acame dynamite goes off.
And even though the Panthers never trailed in this game, look,
there were so many of those tipping point moments when
you're going, oh no, is this de ja vu? And
again they've been hammering home that word finish, finish, finish.
They made winning end, whether it was Demani Richardson, whether

(42:02):
it was again getting pressure on Kyler Murray to force
the sack. Even at times where it felt like, oh no,
did you just let this one slip away, they found
a way and the ability to get off the mat
after last week and bounce back with this performance against
an Arizona team that was playing for survival. It shows

(42:22):
you the growth and the evolution of this team. I'm
excited for these next two games, and I think if
you were a Panthers fan, you should be excited about
the offseason and twenty twenty five because this team has
made a lot of progress here in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 4 (42:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (42:37):
Absolutely, you kind of nailed it right there, and you
kind of just look at the previous couple weeks. You know,
we've had overtime games, We've had games that have come
down to the wire. We had last week we didn't
play really very well at all, and all those situations
it was like, hey, we wish we could have just
been the team that made the play at the end
of the game and this week, same kind of thing.
They drive all the way down at the end of
the game, they kicked the fifty eight yard field goal,

(42:58):
we get a stop on defense and then they punt
and then we go finish the game out with Chuba
and don't even make it close. It's just one of
those things for our team to bounce back, And obviously
we talk a lot about the quarterback position. For Bryce
to bounce back after the turnovers last week and his
toughness that he showed today, And I think sometimes you
just have to prove yourself, prove to your team that hey,

(43:20):
we're a good enough team that we can overcome. We're
a good enough team that we can deal with the
ups and the downs of a season and the ups
and downs of a game. And for us to go
out there and play the way we did and the
win the way we did, I just think it's so
it just instills so much confidence in our team moving
forward that hey, we've been in situations like this before,
we can still go out and win these games when

(43:41):
things get difficult. I think it's just a huge step
in the right direction for us, and a lot of
guys making the big plays for us. Our guys that
are younger guys for us that are under contract for
a long time. So it's just very promising for us to.

Speaker 7 (43:52):
See Jimmy look at the defense today, right, Jacobe Winman
is out there, Demani Richardson and Shaw Smith Wade played
a ton of snaps and made big time winning plays.
And obviously, you know we've talked about guys like Trevin
Wallace and JT. Sanders and Leaguette and Cocher throughout the
course of the season. The framework is starting to take

(44:13):
shape and it bodes for exciting times ahead.

Speaker 10 (44:17):
A lot of guys helping out, stepping in and stepping
up late in a long season. And great to see
the Panthers get the victory finish today win thirty six
thirty over the Arizona Cardinals. Back down the hall, we
go to Brett Eugene and Mike all.

Speaker 2 (44:29):
Right, thanks a lot, Jim, appreciate it and describe driver
around the Lege is brought to you by your Honda
Dealers of the Carolina's Hell the Lights Games.

Speaker 4 (44:35):
Looking Mike all right?

Speaker 6 (44:36):
At the half it is Minnesota at Seattle with a
seventeen to fourteen lead. Sam Darnold fourteen of twenty one
hundred and twenty eight yards, a couple of touchdowns, no interceptions.
Gino Smith thirteen of seventeen one hundred and sixty nine yards,
two touchdowns and one interception. These scores the remaining three games,
all late in the second quarter two minutes in Buffalo,

(44:58):
New England a fourteen to.

Speaker 3 (44:59):
Seven leagu over the Bills.

Speaker 6 (45:01):
Patriots just went for a pake fake punt, but they're
continue to keep that drive rolling.

Speaker 3 (45:07):
Fourth and one out at the New England thirty four.

Speaker 6 (45:10):
Also the Bills with Jared Allen seven eleven fifty three
yards an interception, Drake May eleven of seventeen hundred three
yards with a touchdown, no interceptions. Las Vegas at home
has a three point lead over Jacksonville.

Speaker 3 (45:23):
Let's six thirty eight to go.

Speaker 6 (45:25):
In the second three twenty to go in Miami Dolphins
a thirteen to seven lead over the San Francisco forty
nine ers.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
All right, when we come back, it'll be our three
and out. You're listening to the Panthers football percent of
by Vargus Jenkins.

Speaker 1 (45:38):
The Panthers postgame show continues. Please see I'm a by
Southern Star unofficial bourbon of the Carolina Panthers celebrate the
spirit of the Carolinas and.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
For Christmas we're celebrating and the Panthers' fourth win of
the year and the home finale thirty six thirty. Panthers
winn it in overtime. Never try in this game. Today
Arizona tied it with no time on the clock of
the fifty eight yard field goal and the Panthers win
it in over time. Time for our three and outs,
now and kick it off, mister Eugene Robinson.

Speaker 5 (46:12):
I'll tell you what I've been impressed with the offense
and the administration of the offense and how things are
not only the timing which they're throwing the ball.

Speaker 4 (46:22):
It needs to continue.

Speaker 5 (46:23):
The running has been outstanding, the run blocking has been outstanding,
so continue that. I thought defensively we've bending but not breaking,
and we got to go ahead and just maybe showed
up up a little bit more, maybe the third down percentages,
but also to make those consequential plays, the interceptions and

(46:43):
the fumbles. We had a fumble and an interception today,
which was good, so we'll take that and then special teams.
I think this I don't want it to be a
trend for Panero, but the last couple of weeks, three
or four weeks, there's been some miss extra points something.

Speaker 4 (47:01):
It's gonna it's gonna end up catching up with you.

Speaker 5 (47:04):
So whatever you got to do to clear your head
to get into a different friend of mine, please get
that done, because then I catch up.

Speaker 9 (47:10):
With you well.

Speaker 6 (47:11):
And I think when you're in this is gonna be
more of a formula for my three now right. But
when when you're in kind of rebuilding or at least
getting to where you want to go, you know, you
have to have a plan, you have to have a process,
and you have to have hope to equal winning. And
I think we're starting to see that process starting to
play through.

Speaker 4 (47:26):
It's supposed to be three p's.

Speaker 3 (47:28):
No I didn't do. I didn't say three piece.

Speaker 4 (47:31):
Oh you were headed that way?

Speaker 9 (47:33):
You were headed?

Speaker 4 (47:34):
Well the process, I get it.

Speaker 9 (47:36):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (47:37):
Okay, Well, well I have to see I understand that
I thought you were gonna.

Speaker 3 (47:42):
Be promise, promise. There you going process and promise.

Speaker 4 (47:48):
I like that. Hell there you go? Okay, all right.
First of all, it showed that last.

Speaker 2 (47:52):
Week was not an anomaly, which is something that I
was worried about after last week because things really looked
bad last week, especially for Bryce Young, and really the
Panthers turn things around, probably showing to turn things around.
It's great to finish the regular season home schedule ye
with a positive and send the fans home the last
time that they're going to see you with a good feeling,

(48:13):
and that carries over into next year.

Speaker 5 (48:15):
A lot of energy that was there there really will.

Speaker 2 (48:20):
And today the Panthers had a chance to play spoiler
and they did. Arizona eliminated from the playoff picture now
and now you've got two more games left. You get
joy Christmas this week and you've got one. You've got
a chance the next two weeks to play spoiler because
Tampa and Atlanta are both teams that are battling to
win the NFC South Crown. But this Panthers postgame show
