of weeks ago. It's very good right South Hill's Auto,
so check that out. You can also, uh, you know,
get that for free.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
So check it out.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Maybe meet a couple of former Steelers, have some fun
out there. Not too far from my house. Yeah, so
not too far from your house. That's like right in
the middle where our house is Soustra band Park. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Yeah, okay, there you go.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Uh it's time for the fantasy football focus and let's
get to the injury reports for today. Ty J Spears
with the hamstring does not practice again Thursday. Does not
look good. Tony Pollard against the Bills.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
Yeah, I mean if you see to get a lot
of volume. Yeah, that's a real good start.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Absolutely. Evan Ingram with that hamstring limited again today.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
He's important to them. Yeah, I don't think a high
volume guy.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
Don't know if that was something that was expected, but
he missed all that time with the hamstring injury. Thought
yesterday that you know, oh, maybe they're just limiting him
because of the you know, they don't want him to
reach week.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Yeah, keep an eye on that. I mean, I think
he's definitely a starter for fantasy. A lot of touchdowns,
but yeah, he gets a lot of.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
A lot of volume.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Gabe Davis with the knee injury limited Thursday.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
I'm sure there some fantasy owners wouldn't mind him not going.
Now he gets in the way of some of your guys.
You want to start.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Travis atm with a hamstring limited again Thursday. Okay, remember
they played the Patriots in London, right, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
I think Bigsby's the start. I know people were down
on him after last week, but that's because they were
losing so bad.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Yeah, I agree. Uh. Noah Brown and Washington upgraded to
a full participant on Thursday. He's dealing with a groin issue.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
I mean, he's not super fantasy relevant, but he's good
for their offense and helps Daniels and he plays a
fair amount.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
There's bye weeks and injuries. I mean, none of the
Saints receivers are playing tonight. I mean, you know, if
you'rre accounting on one of those guys, maybe Noah Brown's
something you might want to pivot. It's a good offense points. Yeah.
Brian Robinson with the knee injury limited it practice on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
Okay, I guess you fire him back up if he's
ready to roll.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Alec Pierce with a shoulder sideline to practice on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
He's kind of the Richardson dude. You know, Chuck a
deep guy. It's tough to start him. I mean because
he can have down weeks.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
It's a dart throw.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
It's a dart throw.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
It's almost you know, throw him in the flex and
just hope and hope.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
I mean, if if you're that's some man, if you're lean.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
It's a better a better DFS play.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
Probably, I bet he's cheap. Yeah, Iris Mitchell wasn't into
his time at all much. Yeah he hasn't.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
I mean he's been good though.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
No Pierce had a good year.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Yeah, Rashid Shaheed speaking of those Saints receivers to miss
the remainder of the season at surgery today and not
coming back in this disrepair, and yeah, that's uh, that's
he was having a good year, a good year.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
He's always been somebody, even in previous years I thought
deserved more snaps. You know. He didn't have a super
high pedigree and probably had a hard time proving himself
fly though he could fly and he is dynamic and
he is. They're in bad shape.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
They really are. Would you play bubb Means tonight? If
you're up against it.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
I mean I'd really up against it by the rookie
quarterback and no line. But he's gonna be on the
field every snaight.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
They've got that that second team thing going on there
that I guarantee you. Rattler has thrown a million passes,
a million passes to him already this season. Everybody else
is hurt.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
I pay attention to certaining situation.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
He's not playing.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
He's not playing.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
We know that he wasn't gonn follow above means anyways.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
But I wouldn't know what they do. They don't have
any receivers. What would certain do. I didn't realize he
was totally out. I knew he was banged up. He
probably gets eight targets.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
So I'm saying, yeah, that's it's cheap targets.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
If you're doing a single game DFS type of thing,
it'd be interesting to be on the field.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Tray Sermon with the knee issue back in a limited
fashion Thursday. Jonathan Taylor did not practice the end today.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
I'm guessing it's Sermon and Goodson. Yeah, Sartman could reaggravate
in the game or whatever, but not a great situation.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
For manits It really isn't. Michael Pittman, with that back issue,
was back in a full participation on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Okay, I'm not sure I'm super thrilled to put him
in my line up with Richardson, but you probably don't
have a whole lot of better options.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Josh Doallin's with the toe injury limited Thursday.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
He's been really good, but he takes a little bit
of a dip with Richardson.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
Jakobe Myers with that ankle injury not practicing on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
I wonder if you could I guess he has been hurt.
But again, I keep thinking about him as a trade
candidate for where the Raiders are at. He's making some money.
He's not the youngest guy in the league, you know,
but they don't have a lot of young guys behind
him either.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
Excuse me, uh yeah, I mean he's he's a good player,
and right now he'd be number two in that offense.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
So if he was, I mean, their quarterbacks aren't horrendous,
and he at least would be a highly targeted player.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Bowers is like right now Evan Ingram, but he actually
can score a touchdown.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, I think he's maybe tight end
one going forward. Y Elsea's probably in the conversation. Kittle's
been good, but Bowers doesn't.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Compete with anybody, nobody, you know, Myers when he comes back,
but even at that, it's still not he's going to
be the clear number one tight.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Ends that get passes behind the line. Of scrimmage or
you know, design screen.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
I mean even last week he answer the Steelers it
was nine catches for seventy eight yards, but it was
nine catches for seventy eight yards.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
And most teams don't tackle as well as Steelers. Yeah,
you would have had more. That's it.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
You know, the Steelers have given up the least yardage
after per tackle attempt in the league.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
Yeah, they've been tremendous.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
They get guys on the ground, they do.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
They get a lot of bodies to the ball. They're
faster than they were, and they're really good tackling.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Yeah. Tucker Craft speaking a tight end position, limited at
practice on Thursday with a groin issue.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
Okay, he's a starter. Yeah. I mean with Musgrave out,
that could be rough on some fantasy fantasy teams out there.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Christian Watson limited Thursday ankle injury move. He's always got something,
always something. Jayden Reid ankle remained limited on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
Okay, I mean he's definitely starting him.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Yeah, jay E or Alexander limited again Thursday they play again.
They have somebody that Houston, Houston, Alexander's importing where Houston
might not have any problems like that. Uh Ian Thomas
with a hip issue. Limited on Thursday. Tommy Tremble with
(07:45):
concussion practice in full. I don't tight ends that. Yeah,
it doesn't really matter at Oliver limited Thursday.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
That's one of their best interior players. I mean it's
one of the best the linemen, one of the best
defensive players.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
Dalton Kinkab with a collarbone limited participant on Thursday. I
don't like to see that.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
I say, it must not be broken, but some kind
of bruise. Who was it last? Was it trace last week?
Conversation like a week ago. Yeah, rarely see collarbones bec
It's usually it's broke and you're out, or but it's fine,
you know.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Yeah, but I would again, we talked about that with
the with the trade should open him up more, I
would think.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
I would think he's been a little disappointing. Yeah, they
definitely want to give him the ball. He's a little
redundant with their receivers ass like a big slot type guy. Yeah,
but I do think Addam Cooper is gonna have a
ripple effect for all their receivers. Probably good, Yeah, I
think so. But the roles are better at Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Jonathan Brooks with a knee issue, mispracticed Thursday.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
I don't think he's gonna play this week, but he's
inching back.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
Ray Davis with a calf injury limited Thursday, but James
Cook was back.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
Okay, that's I was curious about his Cook back and
you put him back in your starting lineup. But Davis
isn't going to go away.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Yeah, that's a toe issue for James Cook, So you do.
There are concerns about that in terms of the cutting
and things of that nature. That's better than the hamstring, though.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
It's one of those injuries where sometimes in the second
quarter you're yeah, you know, it bugs you and you're
not the same and you start him for fantasy and
you're not happy about it because your guys not in
the game. Aton.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
Yeah, Deontay Johnson with that ankle injury, now, he had
been missing Wednesdays over the last few weeks, did not
practice on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
Okay, he's another potential trade candidate, but he's been really
good for fantasy when Dalton's in there.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Yeah, Drake may practice Thursday. He's dealing with a knee issue.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Okay, that's news to me. Yeah, he moves around.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Quite well the other day, so Ramandre Stevenson with a
foot issue, was not practicing Thursday, and then they flip
their flying after practice today. Probably enter Oute now to London.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
Okay, I would imagine injuries in London are slightly less chance
of playing. I don't know. I mean, I'm kind of
guessing on that, but I kind of was in the
impression that Stevenson wasn't gonna play this week either way.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
Would you be interested in Antonio Gibson against the Jaguars, Sorda.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
I mean it's in the top twenty four. Possibly. I
think may helps everybody. I mean I think that they
move the football a little bit more. But I can't
see a lot of points in that game either. No,
I don't need that team.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Yeah. Rashad White said the Buccaneers are going to ride
the hot hand at running back. Here's the problem.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
He's not the hot hand.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
He has not been the hot hand all season. No,
it's been Bucky Irving and now and then Tucker came on
and Will Tucker added in. Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
I think that's a stay away. I mean, if I
had any of those guys, I think I'd be trying
to trade him right now. Three headed backfields with nightmare nightmare.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Speaking of which, Devin a Chan with the concussion practice
again on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
Okay, he's the one that he has not had the
season he did last year. But I don't think two
of being out destroys him. I mean, they still manufactured
touches for him. It is. The teams are very good
around him either though. Yeah, and the blocking is bad
and they kind of miscast.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
When you when you can't throw the ball down the field,
all those fifty yard runs go away because nobody fears
their passing game right now, right right.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
I mean he still touches the ball a lot, but
the quality of touches aren't as good.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
Yeah, there goes that his great career yards per carry average.
Mike Evans with a leg injury did not practice on Thursday.
That's something new concern. Yeah, say, he tweaked his leg
and did not participate. It's been a nagging injury for
him for a while, but it now seems to be threading,
threatening his availability for Week seven.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
I wonder if it's one of those sit him down
for one week and hopefully he's over.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
Time playing the Ravens this week. Though you want to
throw a lot you want to throw a lot. Yeah,
like that, Mike Evans, I do too. Malik Neighbors with
a concussion a full participant.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Good good Steelers have deal with them next week.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
Though next week. Marvin Harrison Junior with the concussion also
practicing on Thursday, So both of those guys trending. Harrison
of course hasn't missed as much time, although he took
a zero for US last week and the DFS lineup.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
But you often see these concussions linger past a week,
you know, And it's good that his isn't.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
It looks like Nick Chubb will likely be limited in
some capacity in his first game back, as most would expect.
Pierre Strong would likely see some touches as well after
leading the Browns backfield last weekend.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Oh they're desperate. I mean they're going to get him
in there as soon as possible, But I don't think
he'd get a big workload.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
Would they bring Nick Chubb back, get him looking good,
and then trade him at the deadline.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
Maybe it's not a bad move. I mean, if he
looks the same, I think he'd be a great trade candidate.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
He looks close to for the rest of the season,
right and he's really really cheap.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
I mean, they they had the restructures deal, so he's
not killing their cap. But man, I mean put them
on Dallas or something like that. If he's back to
being the same guy, which if.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
He's back to being the same guy, that anybody would
take him, right.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
He's a tremendous football player.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
Absolutely, it was Yeah, Uh, this is interesting. The Bills
signed Lucas Haveroslick to their practice squad. He's a placekicker,
putting a little pressure on Tyler Bass, who's missed some
kicks of late.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
I mean the Jets were missing kicks in the windy condition. Yeah,
it really was. It was like kicking in a washing machine.
But Bass is not one of the best guys in
the league, right.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
But it's a good situation that just got better this week.
Oh yeah, yeah, and they're gonna move the football, no doubt.
Max Crosby, with an ankle injury, missed that ankle misspractice
on Wednesday. Uh. He also said that the owner came
out and said, hey, we're not trading Max Crosby, so
get that out of here now.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
Yeah, And I totally get that. I mean, you can't
just totally gut your team. He's one of the few
things that are going right.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
Cooper Cup was limited on Wednesday. We're into the West
Coast stuff here, so all yesterday stuff. Yeah, it looks
like he's on track to possibly return this week. But
Jordan Whittington, who has been one of the Cooper Cup replacements,
but it was limited with a shoulder injury yesterday.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
Would you throw Cup right back in your lineup? If yes,
I would too if he's if he is active, yeah,
he'll get a ton of targets. Yeah, especially with Pooka
not there, it might be twenty plus targets again. Yeah,
I think he's right back to be and maybe even
a receiver one. Yeah. I mean I wonder how cheap
he'll be in DFS Worth noting, Yeah, that's worth noting
has been out for a bit.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Deebo Samuel limited at practice on Wednesday with a wrist
issue and.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
Offense is weird now, I mean it's I just heard
this today. They they're last or at the bottom of
the league and run after the catch. I mean they've
been like they've led the league like every year. Shanahan's
there and running out of the catch and it's more
party throwing deep and more shotgun, and they're just kind
of doing things differently right now.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
And one Finka No, yeah, that's part of it. One
final one here that is worth noting. TJ. Hawkinson officially
limited it practice on Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
Are you firing him right back up? If he's in
the lineup? Yes, I am too.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
His twenty one day window has been open now for
about a week. They could activate him this week. They
could wait the Lions.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
His old team, and you know he wants to play absolutely.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
This might have been the one he circled when he
saw the schedule.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
Like, if I can get back for that one coach,
can I can I get into the I'm like yeah,
if it's and they need them.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Let's say it's fifteen routes for TV, you know going
into the game, that is fifteen routes for TJ Hawkinson.
Given the state, Yeah, given the state of tight ends
right now, I'm still putting him out there.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
Oh I'm not. That's not enough for me.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
But I mean, if he's going to be out there there,
they're going to throw to him.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
Oh yeah, but I mean that's probably three or four targets.
It's not enough for me. I bet you cas come
him with twelve better names than that.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
But I bet if he played, you think they want
to get him in the end zone in this game
his first game back. I get all that stuff. I
think they might.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
I just think he'll play more than that.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
I think so too.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
That's a low number.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
Yeah, yeah, I think I think if he's back, he's
back now. It might take him a little time to
knock the rust off again. I've see some guys come
back from from those knee injuries.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
And but I mean the question for me is if
he's active, he's in my lineup. Yeah, I mean I
think that's this.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Is what you drafted him and held on to him for.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
Yeah, I mean, maybe I have a better option. Maybe
I'm the team that took Kelsey and yeah, through Hawkins.
You know, took Hawkins in the twelfth round because he's
you know it was heard on draft day. Well then no,
But I mean, assuming you're a normal tight end owner
and struggling right now, you're thrilled to have him back.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
Yeah. Fortunately for me, I have Bowers in our league.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Yeah, that's a great one.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
Everybody else had already drafted their tight ends and I'm like,
I'll take this Brock. I'll take Brock Bauers. What worked
out pretty well.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
Trade helps him too.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
Yeah, absolutely, that's going to do it for the fantasy
football folte Well, not quite interested in anybody in tonight's game,
I am not.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
What about Camara?
Speaker 2 (17:02):
Denver's defense is tough.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
I know, and the old line is wrecked and there
could be no very little.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
Still think the one dart throw means telling you.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
I mean, but if you have Kamara, you're probably gonna Yeah,
but I wouldn't expect a lot. I was kind of
hoping for Taysom Hill just because it's not gonna happen.
Weird stuff with them, you know. But how about Denver guys? Sutton,
I guess, I mean, he's a borderline starter on his
best day. It's a short week on the road against
a good defense, and Lattimore and those guys.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
They just Nick just doesn't throw the ball down the field.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
I mean, what about their backs. No, I'm not real
psyched about Javonte or any of those guys. Yeah, I
don't both defenses that might be it. I mean Broncos
defense probably the start of the week, but it's on
the road in a short week and not easy place.
To play and you know, usually shy away from those things.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Yeah, so there's there's not much to like about this one.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
No, I think this. I think Denver wins to which
is Badford Steelers. You want DFC teams to lose. Yeah,
Saints are really vulnerable.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
You beat them, You beat the Broncos. You got to
head to head against them.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
Be shocked though. That would be a winning record for them.
They three and three, they would be four and three,
four and three. Wow.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
If it shows you how the AFC West their schedule
this year because the Broncos and the Chargers haven't They
don't play anybody there.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
No, they got a nice soft landing spot. I bet
one of those two ends up in the playoffs. Maybe. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
They're good enough to beat some teams, they're bad enough to.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Lose to anybody. They both play good defense.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
Yeah. Anyways, that's going to do it for the Fantasy
football focus. Matt, Now you're gonna take a break. We'll
be back with more right after this on the Drive.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
At least, He's the Drive with Dale Lolly and Matt
Williamson on your twenty four to seven home of the
Black and Gold Steelers Nation Radio.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Welcome back, I am Dale LOLLI. He is the Matt
Williamson and it's the drive on the Steelers Audio network,
and Matt. With the quarterback situation being what it is
here in Pittsburgh, let's take a look at Nick Schuke's
quarterback in this for a while. Yeah. On the NFL
dot Com see where I imagine he still has Justin
Fields rank. I haven't looked at it yet, but I
(19:16):
imagine Justin Fields is ranked on here and we'll see
just what kind of move the Steelers are making this week.
At number thirty two, I have Deshaun Watson. Deshaun Watson good,
I mean he is thirty two.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Does not belong on the field. I mean it's overwhelming
at this point. Yeah, I'd rather take my chance with
Spencer Rattler or Levis or he doesn't anybody field.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Right, Yeah, at thirty one, Tyler Huntley, that's fair. He
was on the Browns roster.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
I guess so they can and they cut right.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
Yeah, that's where they're at. That's where they're at at
thirty unranked last week. Aid and O'Connell that's what he is.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
I don't think he's one of the top thirty two
quarterbacks in the league.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Yeah, the numbers last week looked better than what they
actually were.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
It was fourth quarter stuff.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
Yeah, when all the starters have been yanked out. Yeah,
it's you know, thirty two to seven, and.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
You're I think he'll be a backup for ten years.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
At twenty nine unranked last week, Drake May.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
I'd be higher on May than that. He makes mistakes,
but boy, he's got a lot of talent and he's aggressive.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
Here's the thing. He's completing fifty eight percent of his passes, okay,
thrown two interceptions, yeah, and a fumble.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
You have to take a lot of bad. You have
to take into account the bad as well as a good.
This isn't like a fantasy football ranking. If you get
a fantasy football ranking, he might be higher.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
That line he played behind, I get it. I mean,
what did he.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
Do behind it?
Speaker 3 (20:49):
It wasn't a lot of good.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
There was good, but there's also a lot of bad.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
There's gonna be yeah, I mean that's who he is.
I mean, even with a good line, there's gonna be bad.
But man, I would take my chance to win a
game with him over some of the other guys.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
Well, I'd haven't had the next guy on here, Spencer
Rattler at twenty eight.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I just I.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
Haven't had a bow Nicks at twenty seven, Will Levis.
I haven't had a Will Levis. I agree with you
yet at twenty six is bow Knicks. I mean he's
been the ultimate junk time quarterback.
Speaker 3 (21:22):
Yeah, I mean a lot of his stats are been padded.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
At twenty five Daniel Jones, I don't.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
Know what to think of him. I mean, it's real
easy just to bash him, and he stinks he's not
worth the contract, and he's.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
Looked good when he's had neighbors in there. That's the
thing is he hasn't looked as good when he hasn't
had neighbors in there.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
He has not reached the bar being the fifth pick
in the draft and being that contract. But that doesn't
mean he's the worst quarterback in the league either. Yeah,
you know what I mean, there's actually i'd have him
over all the guys listed.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
If you look at the the the way that they play,
there's actually a lot of Drake May's game in Daniel Jones.
Speaker 3 (21:59):
Oh yeah, question. They're both aggressive runners. I mean I
think May is more talented you know what I mean,
he's better pastor of the football, but he's a lot younger.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
Ironically, they're both North Carolina guy or no. I guess
he was duke the rivals in basketball, But I mean
I see some similarities there too.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
I'd much rather have made a build round.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
But well, he's a younger guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. At
twenty four up two spots, Andy Dalton, he's been solid,
still a starter.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
Yeah, he could be a starter next year with a
first round pick in the back. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
I think he's the perfect guy for that.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
I think he's proven he can do that.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
He's moving into Flacco Land.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
Yeah. Yeah. Side note, Bill Barnoll wrote an article today.
I think it was just having fun with trades Bryce
Young to the Dolphins. He put out there, like I
would be interested that if I was the Dolphins, you
know what I mean. I think Adham for going for
a fourth round pick or something. I'm sure Bryce Young
will see the field, but I thought that was an
interesting angle for both teams.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
At twenty three, down a spot, Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
Yeah, he's played better in the last couple of weeks.
They drop balls left and they're the hardest watch in
the league, and their vibes are horrible and they don't
want to be there. But he has not played well.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
No, at twenty two down a spot justin fields. I
thought earlier in the season, earlier in the season he
was playing perhaps better than that. Yeah, the last couple
of games have not been as good as a passer,
as a passer in particular. Yeah, right, the running has.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
Been fine, that ads value. Yeah, I think that's about right.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
But it's you know, five touchdown passes, one interception, five
rushing touchdowns, great, right, six fumbles? Right, can't have the fumbles?
Speaker 3 (23:51):
No, I mean I've heard a lot of people that
are on the field on the field side of things,
and I get it. His turnover ratios or is TD
to need to intercept or turnover ratio? Its tremendous, it is.
But he's fumbled six times and just happened to recover
them all, you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (24:07):
Like, yeah, like it's still dangerous, right, you know you're
living on the edge a little bit, you know.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
An interception call back. I know he's had some touchdowns called.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Back too, But at twenty one down three spots, Jalen Hurts.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
That's what hurts belongs now, Like I was joking that
he might get Carson Wentz and Eagles draft won the
second round next year and trade him to someone. And
he is not living up to the bill.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
No, No, to be fair, the last couple of weeks
were without Oh I know, now he's got them all back.
Last week should have been better than what it was.
It's particularly against Cleveland's defense, which has been did you see.
Speaker 3 (24:48):
Their head coach yelling at fans and stuff too? Like
he has a lot of volatile stuff, like I don't
know if he's be back next year.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
That's rough. Yeah, at twenty up three spots, justin Herbert, he's.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
A better football player than that.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
He's there some six point five yards per attempt. I
know they turned him into a game manager.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Last week was a little more than that. He was
actually looking like himself a little bit more. But no,
he's been neutered, he's fumbled four times. Does he worth watching?
Speaker 2 (25:19):
At nineteen up six spots? Caleb Williams getting better getting
better quickly? That might be a little rich. Still, six
point six yards per attempt, I mean I would not
put him over Herbert. Five interceptions and three fumbles, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:33):
A lot of that was early.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
I guess right, he had a good game, but it
was against the Jaguars last week. Let's not get carried away.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
I think their last couple of games have been pretty
soft opponents.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
At eighteen up a spot Aaron Rodgers, Hm, I still
might have him higher. Five interceptions, two fumbles.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
Yeah, they're throwing too much too.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
Yeah, at least they have been seventeen down two two spots.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
Sam Darnold, I haven't seen him in a while, but
it wasn't his best day. But as five fumbles does
he that wasn't his best day. But it's a good
Jet defense. That a really good year he has.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
At sixteen down three spots. Matthew Stafford, it's a little disrespectful.
He's throwing to winningham behind in no offense. Yeah, he
can't elevate like he used to.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
That No, No, I mean he's getting up there, and
I mean I don't know he's much longer for this week.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Got three past three touchdown passes in five games.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
Yeah, I mean the stats I know are bad, like
he's unusable for fantasy and right, I mean I get that.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
At fifteen down three spots. Kyler Murray, he's come back
to earth a little bit the last bags too.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
Yeah, I mean he was starting hot and now he
hasn't been elevating people around him either.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
At fourteen up, two spots, and he's getting benched this
week Joe Flacco. And by talking about Joe Flacco getting
benched in Indianapolis is the talk that we're having right
now in Pittsburgh happening in Indianapolis.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
He gives him better chance to win, right, I mean,
I don't know that he's better at football than Aaron
Rodgers and Justin Herbert, but he's done really, really well
in the Colts uniform.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
He's always through one interception this far, I know.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
And he's risky with the ball too. I mean, it's not.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Another one against the Steelers at least one. Yeah, but
he didn't, right, No, he'll he'll, he'll get it in there.
Thirteen up a spot, Kirk Cousins.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
Yeah, he's playing pretty well.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
Last week wasn't a five hundred yard no, right?
Speaker 3 (27:29):
But yeah, no, he looks like that what they bought
on the open market.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
At twelve down, five spots, Dak Prescott, those are wybe down.
He was a rough showing for everybody, okay, right, they
just didn't show up against Detroit.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
I don't know he's a worse player than he was
a week ago.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
At eleven up six spots.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
Jordan Love Climbing. He's really good. He's really talented. He's
thrown a lot of touchdowns. He might be higher for me.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
He's been pretty good. Yeah, down two spots, Gino Smith,
they're throwing too much. Nice he only has six touchdown
passes in six games. Yeah, he hasn't thrown multiple touchdown
passes in a game this season.
Speaker 3 (28:11):
They got major A line problems too. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
Nine up a spot. Brock Perty having a really good
year and more has been asked of them than ever. Yeah,
they haven't had all the guys there. Right at eight
up a spot, Baker Mayfield, he's playing.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
Like the eighth best quarterback. I don't think he's the
eighth best quarterback, but that's a pretty long stretch over
the last.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
This will be a big test this week against the
Ravens because.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
He's gonna have to be the three hundred DoD passer type,
you know, to win that game free touchdown passes. And
he's played against him a lot. I mean, obviously it's
been a while, but he's aggressive.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
At seven up four spots. Jared Goff, Hmmm, last two
games have been really good, really good. Yeah, he's had
like five incompletions. He's eating point one percent of his passes,
averaging eight point nine yards per attempt.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
Throwing to good dudes, and he's a good situation. But
he's good.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
Yeah, he's been the only guy thus far this season
who has used play action more than justin fields.
Speaker 3 (29:16):
Ye's much different style of quarterback too. But right what
the Steeler area want to do. I don't think the
play action percentage is going down with Wilson.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
No, it might go up. I might go up at
six holding steady Jayden Daniels.
Speaker 3 (29:30):
I think that's fair. Again, I don't know that he'll
end the season at six.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
It's tough to play against.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
He's really tough to play against. He's really composed. He's
still very accurate.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
Seventy five point three percent of his passes in the
NFL unbelievable, and he's averaging eight point five yards per attempt.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
And I know they lost last week, but I think
he still passed a tough test. Yeah, I mean he was.
He's your today.
Speaker 2 (29:51):
At five. C J. Stroud.
Speaker 3 (29:55):
Yes, that the line has been a real problem, and
without mixing, they had no running game. Andy lost his
number one receiver. He's been playing really really.
Speaker 2 (30:04):
Well at four Josh Allen.
Speaker 3 (30:08):
Yeah, his numbers are a little down, but I still
think he's the second.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
Best's running interception this season, Like.
Speaker 3 (30:13):
Yeah, zero, Yeah, and I knew he had zero a
couple of weeks ago. Yeah, I mean he's I think
he's the second best quarterback in the league, but don't
think he's having the second best season.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
At three down a spot Joe Burrow.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
Okay, I mean I think those top couple were pretty obvious.
Burrow is really looking good.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
Two up a spot is Mahomes, and then one is
he is Lamar one Lamar number one.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
I think he'd be MVP if the game. If the
league ended today, I.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
Think I'd vote for Henry.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
Hmm. I he's been fairly valuable for him, but Lamar
is playing really really well. I mean, Ernie Bess is
number winning. Doesn't mean he's not value.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
I'm just saying Henry to me has been the more.
I mean, it's it's kind of opened things up even
more so for Lamar.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
League marriage between the two of them.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
And you know, we thought it would be I was
questioning their offensive line. I still questioned their offensive line.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
But it's getting a little better though.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
They you know, they cover some of that stuff up
because there's so difficult to play against.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
Yeah, their guards and centers have been better. Rosen Garden's
a prominent right tackle. They put McCarry in the guard
and just he's been fine. You know, he knew he
could do that, right, Yeah, that's the beauty of him.
He could play five spots. I get Lamar number one.
I mean, no one's better than Mahomes, But in terms
of who's having the best year, Mahomes isn't even the
(31:32):
top five.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
Yeah, I mean yeah, he's throwing six interceptions, have six
yeah in five games. Six touchdown passes, six interceptions.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
Yeah, he hasn't been great, and he said it a
couple of times publicly, not having a great year. Yeah,
but he is great.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
I'll take him, all right, Chris Collins, I'll tell you superstar. Anyways,
that's the the list there on the NFL dot com
by put together by Nick Shook. You mentioned that that
articles to build it really is because there's a lot
of guys you expect to be better than what they are.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
Mahomes Allen and guys like Rodgers, and it's been up
and down. Yeah, hard to rank you guys that have
great bodies of work, or even like Flacco as a
really good body work. But he's a backup that played great.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
Yeah you mentioned the Barmwell piece he put together twelve
twelve trays that should.
Speaker 3 (32:27):
Happen Steelers or there's a Steeler one in there. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
He is the Chiefs trading for a fifth round pick
for DeAndre Hopkins. If the cost is only a fifth
round pick, sign up, sign me up for that. I'd
be interested in that, right yeah, absolutely for the Steelers.
He has Hassan Reddick for a twenty twenty six, sixth
round pick. Here's the problem with that for a six
round pick. Yeah, if the Jets trade him, yeah right now,
(32:52):
they owe they owe Philadelphia a third round draft pick.
If they trade him, they owe a second round draft pick.
Oh yeah, I did know that they're not trading him
for a sixth round six twenty.
Speaker 3 (33:04):
Six doesn't count. I mean maybe you'd lose a round,
but he's not four rounds less valuable than are.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
From now, right right, right, that's not happening.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
They could be the team that trades for them, but
they're gonna get more than that.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
You have you mentioned the Bryce Young going to the
Dolphins of Dolphins for a twenty twenty five conditional fourth
round pick. I don't see the Panthers moving on from me.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
Probably not. If I were them, i'd want to play
him more this year. Yeah, but if I were the Dolphins,
he might be somebody I would have some interest in
if he's on the market.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
Uh, the Commander's trading Emmanuel Forbes and if they get
a fifth round pick for a twenty twenty five sixth
round pick for Emmanuel Forbes to the Chargers. He's not
playing at all.
Speaker 3 (33:49):
Yeah, his first round pick just a year ago. Their
defense isn't good really in Washington. Yeah, I mean they're
getting nothing back in that deal.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
No, I don't. I can't see why they would move
on there this quickly.
Speaker 3 (33:58):
If you can give me a third maybe you know.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
The Cowboys get a running back from the Bears. They
get Khalil Herbert for a twenty twenty five six round
draft I've.
Speaker 3 (34:06):
Been people talking about that for six months. Man Herbert
seems like an easy guy to move free agent after
the year.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
The Steelers get Mike Williams for a twenty twenty five
to seventh round draft pick.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
I'll do it for seven.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
I wouldn't be done at the wide receiver position. I
still look for something else.
Speaker 3 (34:21):
Right, but give me a let me give him next
to nothing for him just paying for the rest of.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
The year, just making nothing.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
He's a pretty good deal.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
Yeah, eight hundred thousand dollars the rest of the year.
Speaker 3 (34:30):
Like was that it? Yeah? Wow, I don't know he
signed that cheap. Must have been a big bonus. There's
a bonus involved.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
Yeah. Yeah. The Saints get Kendre Miller from the rate
or they get they send Kendre Miller to the Raiders
for offensive tackle Andres Pete comes back to the Saints. Well,
they both need those positions. Yes it, Beat's not playing
for the Raiders. The Dolphins apparently are going to be
very active everybody. They get a twenty twenty five six
(34:58):
round draft pick for Jeff Wilson Junior in a twenty
twenty five to seventh round draft pick from the forty nine.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
Ers, again sending one back home.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
Yeah all right, I mean, I guess there's some running
back super exciting. No, I'm not sure even nor is
this next one. The Cardinals send Zach Pascal and a
twenty twenty five to seventh round pick to the Cardinals,
and the Cardinals get a twenty twenty five sixth round pick.
Zach Pascal is week right, it's not somebody. We've been
(35:26):
talking about wide receivers this entire offseason. We've not mentioned
Zach Pascal once exactly. You know, like, I bet the
trade deadline's more exciting than that. Yeah, you know. The
Colts get from the Bills kyer Elam for a twenty
twenty five sixth round draft pick.
Speaker 3 (35:43):
Yeah, he's big corner of this former first round pick
that hasn't worked out for the Buffalo. Somebody else might
want to try it.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
Yeah. The Eagles get tight end Tanner Hudson in a
seventh round pick in twenty twenty six for twenty twenty
six sixth round pick.
Speaker 3 (35:59):
I mean we're just trade junk here now. I mean,
these are guys.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
That are they are like some guys offer you in fantasy, like, right,
how about junk for no.
Speaker 3 (36:06):
I mean these are all pick swaps at six and
seven for third string tight ends and stuff.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
This one would be interesting. The Panthers get a twenty
twenty five conditional sixth round pick for Miles Sanders from
the chief to the the from the Chiefs, he goes
to the Chiefs in a twenty twenty five conditional seventh
round pick.
Speaker 3 (36:27):
I bet he's not a Panther at the end of
the year.
Speaker 2 (36:28):
There's no reason.
Speaker 3 (36:29):
There's no reason Brooks. Maybe as soon as Brooks is healthy,
he comes back there. Sanders is gone. Yeah, made me released.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Barmball had to go deep with some of.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
These too deep, too deep, dude, deep right. Mike Williams
is fine. Yeah, and that's even for a seventh Yeah, Pascal,
go on, what are we talking about here? Yeah? Yeah,
I bet bigger names have moved than that.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
I think so too. Again, I there's some other receivers
out there. I'd make a.
Speaker 3 (36:55):
Yes, Yeah, I think teams like Jacksonville could move several guys.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
Absolutely.
Speaker 3 (36:59):
I might on Etn's name in there, Kirk, you know
what I mean, those type of guys.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
Yeah, yep, I agree, he is. The Matt Williamson tongue
didn't work there for a second. I'm Dale Lolly, you're
listening to the drive here on the Steelers Audio Network.
We're gonna take a break. We'll be back with more
right after this least.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
He's the drive with Dale Lolly and Matt Williamson on
your twenty four to seven Home of the Black and
Gold Steelers Nation Radio.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
Welcome back. I am Dale Lolly, he is the Matt
Williamson and this is the drive on the Steelers Audio
Network and Matt Cleveland Brown is going to be on
the move again.
Speaker 3 (37:44):
On the move. Whither staying in Cleveland staying sorta? I
didn't know where. I mean, they're moving.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
Out to the suburbs, out to Brook Park, which is
about nine miles from downtown Cleveland on the western side
of the city, southwest of.
Speaker 3 (37:59):
The Toy Building. New stadium, folks, is what's going on here?
Speaker 2 (38:02):
A two billion ones I think it was two billion
dollars billion, might be more than that actually, but yeah,
it's not going to be cheap. It's it's going to
be a domed stadium that will be the only dome
stadium in the AFC North. Kind of defeats the purpose,
like it's not that's not all right.
Speaker 3 (38:20):
Let's say I just can't imagine the Browns playing in
a dome. I could even maybe envision the Steelers or
Ravens more than that. I mean, like by the lake
and the wind and all that craziness.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
You're losing all the advantage that you had. Now that
being said that they do have a game or two
every year that are affected by weather.
Speaker 3 (38:35):
I was about to say the same thing. I remember
they played the It wasn't last year. It was a
year before Raiders were one of them, like two of
their three games in a row, or just slop fest.
Who knows who wins, You know, like you really don't
have an advantage necessarily. Sometimes it's so bad. Yeah, I'm
surprised it's not at least retractable.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
That would make some sense. Yeah, right, it is. I
have no idea. I looked into that enough. But uh,
always something changing in Cleveland. Post opened in twenty twenty eight.
Speaker 3 (39:04):
This doesn't asking we know when that's ready for action.
Speaker 2 (39:07):
That stadium opened one year before Akroser Stadium opened, did it?
Nineteen ninety nine? The Steelers Stadium opened the next year.
Speaker 3 (39:14):
I guess that adds up. I don't think Steelers are
moving on from their stadium anytime soon. No, right, is
there a major need to do it or do you
think it's good?
Speaker 2 (39:23):
They had some plans. They could have the city offered
to upgrade the stadium and spend money to do that,
and they say, yeah.
Speaker 3 (39:29):
Now it's rebuilt, we're gonna go out.
Speaker 2 (39:30):
They bought the land and that's official now and okay,
they're gonna do it.
Speaker 3 (39:34):
They're gonna do it. Well, wonder if Watson will be there.
I bet not by twenty twenty eight. I'm gonna say
new No, they might still be finally getting over that. That
might be why they need to build a new stadium.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
They need the revenue to be able to pay him,
pay him, right, Yeah, just saying.
Speaker 3 (39:49):
That that organization is always in turmoil.
Speaker 2 (39:52):
Joe Burrow was listed on the injury report for the
Cincinnati Bengals today with right wrist and shining. The right
risk has been that's what he had operated on.
Speaker 3 (40:02):
He's fighting through that all year and he's had He's
gotten much better as the season has gone on, too.
He typically is I agree, and then now there's another
one on top of it. Huh interesting. I mean it's
been a it's been a crazy career with him with injuries. Yeah.
I think he's had one training camp that he's had
the whole time he's had. You know, all a multitude
(40:25):
of injuries. Him and Herbert coming in the same year.
There's always something with both of them, and they still
play well. But you just wonder, but if they were
healthy for a whole year.
Speaker 2 (40:33):
Yeah, I just don't know that we're ever going to
get to see that. I mean, their offensive line is
a problem again.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
It's not great.
Speaker 2 (40:40):
Again, you know, even last week playing the Giants, and
Giants have a good pass Yeah, one of the best,
but guys get beat too quickly.
Speaker 3 (40:50):
Yeah, Mims is work in progress. The interior is a
very average. I mean, I wonder if they'll still keep
dumping resources into it or how they'll handle the off
sea line wise, it's interesting. Yeah, Cleveland could keep the
score down in that one at least.
Speaker 2 (41:06):
Yeah, if you're the Steelers this week, Matt, how are
you attacking this Jets defense knowing that your offensive line
you're missing your center to be the fifth offensive line
they've started thus far this season? People, Well, the offensive
line hasn't been good. No, it hasn't been healthy.
Speaker 3 (41:23):
Has been healthy, which is really tough and just a
revolving door all over the place. And I really dislike
Fraser being out of the lineup. I mean, as well
as he's played and starting to really gel with McCormick
two on double teams and things like that, and Seeamalu
is a stabilized force. I do like the idea of
running on the edges. I definitely think running against this
(41:45):
team in general is been fruitful, you know. I think
the idea of attacking second and third corners makes tons
of sense. I don't know that they have a wonderful,
friar mooth answer bad against tight ends or anything, but
I don't I wouldn't shy away from that. Pickens has
shown that he can do battle with the certains of
(42:06):
the world. I mean, it doesn't mean it's you know,
revis Island and never going to hear from them again.
I don't think that's the case. Was shorten the game, though,
you know. I mean, I think time of possession is
really big in this one, you know, and if you
can get a consistent run game going. But frankly, it
worries me. I mean, I don't see wonderful strength or
(42:27):
wonderful stealer advantages when they see them when they have
the ball. The Fraser injury is part of it.
Speaker 2 (42:36):
I would go to a quicker passion game, you know,
maybe some more slants and things that we just haven't
seen a lot of. I just don't know that Fields style.
That's not his style. Quick processing boom boom boom boom. Yeah,
I'm sure it's going to look different. I mean, I'm
sure the play calls will be different, some of the
route structures will be different, maybe even more play action,
(42:58):
even though they're heavy in that regard. But yeah, I
don't mind a quick passing game at all. Just they
have a good pass rush too. Yeah, get the get
those corners thinking, you know, because a lot of the
Steeler stuff early in this season has been more vertical related,
because again that fits more into what you know Fields
can do, right, but just more quick in cutting stuff.
Speaker 3 (43:17):
Yeah, and their linebackers are good players, but I still
like pursue everybody.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
He just comes throwing in, just walking right into the show.
Speaker 3 (43:25):
Yeah. We're on YouTube, by the way, so smile. There's
cameras here.
Speaker 2 (43:28):
Everybody saw you there.
Speaker 3 (43:31):
Like he owns a place.
Speaker 2 (43:33):
I think this was his studio or something.
Speaker 3 (43:35):
Yeah, come on, man, what were we talking about? Something
about the Jets and Steelers? Yeah, something silly about that.
Speaker 2 (43:41):
No, I mean I would I would try to attack
them and again, slow those linebackers down if they're going
to crash crash the line of scrimmage these teams have
been doing. I want to hit that quick.
Speaker 3 (43:49):
Yeah, safeties and linebackers have been coming downhill too abruptly,
and I think you have to beat them over the
top play action as you mentioned. I think crossers and
more in cutting stuff would make sense to you know,
and Wilson historically hasn't been a great over the middle passer.
That doesn't mean can't do it or won't do it,
you know.
Speaker 2 (44:08):
I will say this, and I don't know how this
might affect a game, but Sean Smith's crew is scheduled
to do.
Speaker 3 (44:16):
This one I'm not familiar with.
Speaker 2 (44:18):
They call eleven point eight penalties per game, which is
the eighth few or the fourth fewest in the league. Okay,
false starts have been the penalty they and you have
to call those.
Speaker 3 (44:28):
I say, that's not even optional.
Speaker 2 (44:30):
Yeah, they've called eighteen of those, holding a second with
just ten, so basically they've averaged two per game. They've
done five games they've only called.
Speaker 3 (44:38):
That's low on the holding.
Speaker 2 (44:39):
Yeah, only two defensive pass interference penalties this year The Jets,
of course, are tied for third or third in the
league in pass interference penalties with eight.
Speaker 3 (44:48):
I would bet Sauce and Porter are happy about that.
They both can be grabby and long and you know,
all over people.
Speaker 2 (44:53):
Yeah, so just something to keep an eye on there
that maybe it won't be a flag fest like what
we see all the.
Speaker 3 (44:59):
Jets games are though. I mean they're a heavily penalized team.
Speaker 2 (45:02):
This is a standalone game and that seems to be
kind of them for the league this year that we've
seen more of those kind of colors.
Speaker 3 (45:07):
Yeah. Yeah, Steelers have been in their share of penalties too.
They're not great in that regard. Jets are bad.
Speaker 2 (45:13):
Jets are bad.
Speaker 3 (45:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
Yeah, So something just to keep an eye on there.
But Matt, that's going to do for the show today.
Speaker 3 (45:18):
All right, sounds like a plan. It's a plan, but
it's the end. It is the plan. I love it
when a plan comes again. I do too.
Speaker 2 (45:28):
