Speaker 1 (00:03):
At least.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
He's the drive with Dale Lolly and Matt Williamson on
your twenty four to seven Home of the Black and
Gold Steelers Nation Radio.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
And we are back. I am Dale LOLLI he is
the Matt Williamson and this is the drive on the
Steelers Audio Network, and I'm Matt. I wanted to what's
some extra thought into this this week as we get
closer to Saturday's games. So let's take a look here
real quick at the prices points on on draft Kings.
Speaker 4 (00:33):
Yeah, be from obviously, and we're.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
Gonna be a little weent tore Zig, maybe a little
bit more than when everybody else is zagging or vice versa.
So Josh Allen is going to be eighty two hundred. Okay,
do we expect weather? I would think so.
Speaker 4 (00:47):
I would think there's something and that's a really good defense.
I don't think I would be investing in him.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Lamar Jackson is eight thousand, that's up, Jade Daniels is
seventy five hundred. They're twenty eighth against opposing quarterbacks Tampa Bay.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
I think there's been a lot of points in that game.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
I do too. Jalen Hurts seventy three hundred, Baker Mayfield
sixty eight hundred towards that game. Yeah, although Washington is
fifth against opposing quarterbacks this year, I do too. Yeah,
they played some bad ones. They made a couple of times.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Sam Darnold is sixty five hundred, Rams are twenty fourth.
That's another bad keep an eye on that. We don't
even know where that game might be played at. Bo
Nick's sixty three hundred, Justin Herbert six thousand, Jordan Love
fifty eight hundred, Matthew Stafford is fifty seven hundred, C. J.
(01:40):
Stroud fifty five hundred, Russell Wilson fifty three hundred. If
you now today, I guess Hurts practiced at least.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
It's trending the right direction, at least at least.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Gonna, you know, the potential to get cleared. He got
a limited practice in at least today. But he's seventy
three hundred. If you don't think he's gonna play well,
Kenny Pickett is forty eight.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
I think McKee would start.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
And McKee is all the way down at forty five hundred.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
Yeah, there's some people that really like McKey. I mean,
he's a pocket passer. He does not run at all. No,
there's some hope around him. That Bucks game is the
one that I lean towards.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
I think I think Bucks, Yeah, Bucks, Washington and Rams Yeah,
Minnesota the two games to keep an eye on.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
But I like Darnold more than the Stafford just considering
the defense that they're gonna face.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Yeah. Uh.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
Looking at the running backs, Saquon Is eighty five hundred,
Derrick Henry eighty two hundred, Josh Jacobs seventy seven hundred,
Kyron Williams seventy four hundred, Joe Mixon is seventy two hundred,
Bucky Irving seven thousand.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
I can't envision spending big on any of those guys.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
James Cook sixty seven hundred. Is he have any injury detonation?
Speaker 4 (02:50):
Didn't? Wasn't there something? I mean it just probably because
it'll week eighteen? Yeah, yeah, yeah, sixty seven hundred. Him
Dobbins is sixty two hundred. He does have an injury designation.
Aaron Jones six thousand, I don't mind that. Brian Robinson
fifty eight hundred, Jalen Warren fifty two hundred. Warren's more
than nausey.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Javonte Williams fifty one hundred.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
That's one thing about the Ravens is they allow receptions
to running back.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Yeah, Rashad White five thousand, Naujee Harris five thousand, Julia
McLaughlin at forty nine hundred.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
I think he's a good player. If they're losing, he'll
be on the field a lot.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
Yeah, and you can run against Buffalo.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
Yeah, Yeah, And I think they'll try. I can see
them keeping that game close.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
Cam Akers is forty eight hundred, as is Austin Eklar,
who you mentioned earlier in the week.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
I mean they last week they kind of brought him back.
There was a couple of those like Goddard in Eklar.
They didn't need them, but they brought him back. Got
their feet wet before you know.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
I think they could be sneaky wide receiver Justin Jefferson
eighty one hundred, Mike Evans seventy nine hundred, Nico Collins
seventy eight hundred, Puka Nakua seventy six again Minnesota thirty
second against opposing wide or amazing.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
If they're that low. But Houka is a monster.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
If I'm going to pay up, that's that's what I
want to pay up for. A j. Brown seventy five hundred.
Lad McConkie sixty eight hundred. He should avoid I don't
know how much Stingley he'll get. Yeah, he should avoid Stingley.
Speaker 4 (04:19):
Maybe they's put Stingley on Johnston and just totally.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Maybe that's why they were so intent on. Hey, let's
let's feature Johnston in this game. We're probably gonna win it. Yeah, Yeah,
let's let's make let's make the make sure Stingley has
to stay out there.
Speaker 4 (04:33):
Tight ends in Mconkee. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
Courtland Sutton is sixty six hundred. Terry McLaurin sixty five hundred.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
That's so bad. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
I don't mind that.
Speaker 4 (04:42):
Right.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
We think the high scoring game Cooper Cup is sixty
four hundred.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
I'd better pay for McLaurin.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
George Pickens sixty three hundred. The Ravens are still twenty
eighth against opposing wide receivers.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
Now they're not shutting people down.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Jordan Addison sixty one hundred. He burned us last week,
but I don't know if he does it two week,
eating so much burness as the darnold burness that game.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
Zay Flowers six thousand, Yeah. DeVante Smith fifty seven hundred,
pretty cheap for him.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Now they are third against opposing wide receivers, but again,
the quarterback situation is yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
I mean I think they're going to win.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
Jayden Reid fifty five hundred, Romeo Dobbs fifty four hundred.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
Remember Watson's out. I think that helps both their causes.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
Yeah, Khalil Shakers fifty three hundred.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
Yeah, I mean he's probably their number one. I don't
think Cooper is gonna.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Play Jaylen McMillan fifty two hundred. There's some nice options. Yeah,
that neighborhood's pretty good. Marvin Mims is fifty that's.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
The name I wanted to hear because I think he's
him Been Sutton for the guys.
Speaker 5 (05:40):
Now.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
Rashad Bateman is five thousand. He's probably the one Amari
Cooper who's good to go now forty nine hot. Yeah,
personal stuff, he's back back. I thought he was going
to play. Quentin Johnston forty eight hundred, Keon Coleman forty
six hundred. Uh Doantavian Wicks is forty five hundred. Olamida
A Kias forty four hundred.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
I think he's the true too. Yeah, he's hard to tackle.
I mean, he's not a brand name, dude, but if
he's on the field every snap in a high scoring game.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
They're twenty seventh against opposing wide receivers. Yeah, Josh Palmer
forty three hundred. DeMarcus Robinson is forty two hundred. Veley
forty one hundred. I think he's the true slot now
he's the three. I'm just looking here down through the
list of Mike Williams is all the way down at
(06:30):
thirty three hundred dollars.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
I bet he's in our lineup. H yeah, right, he
catch a touchdown.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
I'm just telling you, folks, I just have a feeling.
Mark Andrews at tight end forty seven hundred.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
I don't know if i'd pay up for him.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Pat Fryarman with forty four hundred. I think they're not
great against twentieth. Yeah, they're twenty thing against opposing tight ends.
Zach Ertz forty three hundred.
Speaker 4 (06:54):
Tampa Bay is twenty sixth against opposing week crop the
tight ends.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
TJ. Hawkinson forty two hundred. They are thirtieth against opposing
tight ends.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
Oh, he isn't done much lately, but he's better than Hertz.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
Yeah, Kate dott In forty one hundred, Dalton Kincaid four thousand,
Dallas Goddard thirty nine hundred, Tucker Craft thirty seven hundred,
Dalton Schultz is thirty six, will Disley at thirty four.
I don't mind that you're going to pay down for it,
like Hawkinson too. Higbee is thirty three hundred, Isaiah Likely
is thirty two hundred.
Speaker 4 (07:26):
I may sees the field a lot. I mean, if
they's out likely it's gonna be out there seventy five.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
Now, Yeah, Payne Durham is thirty one hundred, Stone Smart
twenty nine hundred. I think he's here to stay. Yeah,
and he's a receiving tight end. Grant Calcitara twenty eight hundred.
So there's some.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
There's some decent options. I don't like the expensive them.
There's not like stars, they're not expensive expensive, right, right,
there's no McBride. Yeah, for Bowers, there's no Kelsey, you know, right,
there's no Laporta.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Looking at the defenses, the Ravens are thirty seven hundred,
the Bills are thirty five hundred, the Eagles thirty three hundred,
the Chargers are thirty two hundred. The Buccaneers thirty one hundred,
the Vikings are three thousand, the Rams are twenty nine hundred,
Commander's twenty eight hundred, the Texans are twenty seven hundred,
(08:14):
the Packers are twenty six hundred, the Broncos are twenty
four hundred, and the Steelers are twenty two hundred. Dollars.
For the Steeler defense, I bet we own them just
a hunch, knowing how we do business, right, I mean,
they shouldn't be last. The Broncos shouldn't be twenty fourth
or twenty four hundred, the Steeler shouldn't be twenty two hundred, right,
I would say I like that over some of these
(08:35):
teams are going to be in shootouts, right.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
I like Denver. I mean like I wouldn't touch Tampa
or Washington. I mean there's something that I think are
gonna be really high scoring games. I kind of like
Houston for cheap as well. Yeah, I don't get sacks
and I don't think the Chargers are going to score thirty.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Yeah, they're not going to throw the ball over the field.
Speaker 4 (08:52):
No, And what was the other one. I kind of
liked Minnesota. I mean it's a great defense, I mean
a playmaking.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
Looks like crazy and Stafford is statuesque at this point.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
Yeah, he's get hit.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
Yeah. One other thing I wanted to mention here, and
this was a piece by Rick Goslin does good work
and he always it's kind of where I got the
idea to always look ahead to the officials from from
Goose and he went through and looked at the crews
that called the most penalties this season and where that
(09:24):
ranked overall, and kind of historically to it.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
As we know you mentioned yesterday, these crews get mixed
they get mixed up. Now ye have an all star
team though, right.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
So Cleete Blakeman's crew, I'm sure he's historically Yeah, three
times in his first thirteen seasons as the referee, he's
finished as the runner up in penalties called. So he
must have gone into this season and said, you know what,
(09:54):
I'm gonna win that title. This year, We're gonna win.
I don't want to be second. I'm not going to
be the bridesmaid anymore, to be the bride year, just
hitting the stride. There are seventeen officiating crews in the
NFL Okay. Ten of them had at least two hundred
penalties this season, including Blakeman's crew, who called a league
(10:15):
high two hundred and fifty two penalties for two thousand,
one hundred and twenty eight yards.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Let me stop you real quick, though. There's seventeen crews, yes,
which means every week at least one crew is off, yeah,
if not more.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
If not more, win the buyas.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
Yeah. So that means Blakeman was probably never one of those.
I mean, he must be like in the top twelve
on the depth chart, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
They all get a week off at some point.
Speaker 4 (10:39):
Oh do they okay, like they all get a buy
or whatever.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
Basically okay, they were the only crew in the NFL
this season to have more than two thousand yards in
penalties assessed. Two thousand that's twenty football fields.
Speaker 4 (10:53):
Wow, that's a lot.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
Again, and they were at twenty one to twenty eight. Wow.
You say that's the most in history. Well we'll get
to that here. Oh okay, okay. On the other side
of it, you had John Hussey's crew. They called one
hundred and seventy seven penalties. That's seventy five fewer than
Blakeman had in the same amount of games. They both
were sixteen okay, sixteen games seventy five fewer penalties. What
(11:18):
is that? Four or five more game? Almost five? Yeah,
Brad Allen's crew assessed the least amount of penalty yardage
fourteen hundred and six. That's seven hundred and twenty two
fewer yards so much, right, that's fifty games seven football
fields worth of penalties more in the same amount of games.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
Yeah, and then that's a big enough sample size. You
can't tell me like, boy, I had a huge amount
of eighty yr DPIs I had to call you know, yeah, way,
come on, these are strong tendencies.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
Yeah. The three thousand, five hundred and six penalties assessed
this eason were the most since twenty fifteen. So if
it seemed like they were throwing more penalties this year,
it's because they were. There were ten crews that assessed
two hundred plus penalties this season. In twenty twenty three,
(12:15):
there were only three.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
Wow in twenty eighteen week seasons in twenty twenty two, again,
eighteen week seasons. Seventeen we're not talking about nineteen eighty
there was one WOW. So again, if you thought that
there were more penalties this season, you weren't wrong. Do
you think the league looks at this heavily. I mean,
is this a competition committee thing?
Speaker 1 (12:37):
Is this?
Speaker 3 (12:37):
I think it's something that they're going to talk about,
because again, if you're talking about making things more watchable
for those at home, this goes into that.
Speaker 4 (12:47):
I mean, I know that, and I understand why, and
I totally it's not going away. They won a lot
of standalone games because you get a ton of eyes.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
And it seems to me the standalone games where there
were more penalties.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
Called, that makes it harder. If it's only one game
on it's penalty laden. That makes Joe average fan not
maybe turned back in the next time, right.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
Makes you crazy? So how about this little stat on
Cleayton is a lovely gang of marauders. They gave out
a league high one hundred and thirty four penalties for
one thousand, one d and forty three yards to home teams.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
Oh really, home teams. I don't want that worries me
home teams. When Blakeman's crew worked the game went five
and eleven this season. Wow, And I'm sure they were
favored in a lot of those. In a league in
which there is a home field Advan, there's a home
field lesson. There was about fifty five, right, you know
between the hovers between fifty five and sixty percent, which
(13:41):
every year right around there. I know this little betting nugget.
It used to be three domes of the home team.
Now it's like two because the guy's like club. That's
what we do it right and easier.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
And you know, Craig worlfstats crew was the toughest on
the road teams. They called one hundred and twenty seven
penalties for one thousand and forty seven yards. Yet the
road teams went nine and seven with Craig's crew. That
home one is roughly the two teams. The two officials
who struck who were the hardest on the home teams
(14:15):
were Blakeman and Clay Martin. Both in both instances the
home teams went five and eleven, so the road teams
went eleven and five. The best. If you were if
you had Alex Kemp's crew for your home game, you
went thirteen and three.
Speaker 4 (14:30):
These extreme ones, those home road splits won't worry me
a little bit, you know. I'm sure the betting market
is the sharps are really really on top of them.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
Yes, there were seven, that's what we're talking about here,
in the fantasy football sect. It's also kind of a
it's relevant. Yeah, a little gambling issue here. There were
seventy seven games this year in which the team was
assessed ten plus penalties as an individual team.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
Didn't seem very unusual.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
No, Blakeman's crew, remember they worked sixteen weeks. Yeah, they
had twelve of them.
Speaker 4 (15:00):
Wow, twelve of their sixteen games, the three had at
least one team and.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
Sometimes two with double digits O. Carl Cheffers and John
Hussey's crew had one a piece. Wow. And these guys
are at seventy five. They're watching the same games, they're
they're officiating the same sport, they're just not officiating it
the same win. I don't know who's right and who's wrong.
Speaker 4 (15:26):
Yeah, say, I mean, I'm sure that what's the right
answer here. But it shouldn't be that different. I mean,
like umpire, strike zone shouldn't be that much different. And
it's what drives It's what drive coaches nuts, it's what
drives players nuts, it's what drives fans nuts. When you
see something that was obviously a penalty and it doesn't
get called.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
What was that call?
Speaker 4 (15:45):
I mean, I mean, you coach baseball and stuff. I mean,
you definitely want it to be equal for both teams.
I mean, if the strike zone huge for both teams,
at least we know that after the first inning or whatever.
But in a situation like this, like.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
And once, once the strike zone is set, don't go changing.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
Its right, right, If it's a strike in the first inning,
it should be a strike in the sixth inning. Yeah,
you know. But to make a football corollary, like, of course,
if a pitch goes right over the middle of the plate,
it should be a strike. But if it's even like
clearly in the white, it needs to be a strike.
If you're dragging people down on pass interference calls, that
(16:23):
should be a penalty for all of them, you know
what I mean. There's some that are just black and white.
You know, it's not paint in the corners.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
You know. There were twenty seven games this season when
a team was assessed at least one hundred yards and penalties.
Blakeman's crew had five of those.
Speaker 4 (16:39):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
Four crews did not have any one penalty games.
Speaker 4 (16:44):
Side note, that's along this line. I don't even know
if you know the answer. So we can blame Cleat
heavily for this yes, obviously. I mean, but does he.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
And his crew? Yeah, that's what say, Like, does he's
have one bad apple on his crew? But you can,
as he fire them the referee of the crew, you
can kind of like, hey, guys, you're sitting and you
talk during the week, you talk before the game. They
talk a lot on the field, which trucks me nuts, Like, no.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
A good coach is a terrible O line coach and
you can't pick up blitzes. You know, is that is
that kind of the case here too? You know, Well,
nobody knows the fact that he's.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
Finished as the runner up three times before he come
on cleat did they did they go year after year
with the same crew. Uh, there'll be some changes here
and there, but for the most part they are.
Speaker 4 (17:32):
I imagine, right right, you bring back the same people
you work with.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
Finally, the Ravens, Cowboys and Jets, Oh, Jets and Titans
shared the league lead with five penalty games or ten
penalty games.
Speaker 4 (17:52):
Yeah, it's relevant, I know it. This week the Jets
were the most penalises.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
Jets number one, the Ravens were number two.
Speaker 4 (17:57):
I'm sure the other ones were closed.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
The Ravens were all by themselves on the top of
the list with one hundred yard penalty games.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
They had four four you wonder, I mean, I don't
know which games they were, but how do you lose
the Raiders? How do you lose the Browns? You know,
this is one of the ways. Hand them one hundred yards?
This is one of the ways. Yeah. Yeah. I mean,
if Pickens can get a forty yard DPI and you
can cause three or four holding calls from Watt and Highsmith,
et cetera.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Illegal base or whatever, just getting first downs on stuff
like that, and you're moving the offensive.
Speaker 4 (18:29):
Bagel stuff offensively too. But yeah, surprised me that the
other ones didn't. Holding in DPIs didn't surprise me at all,
But you know, pre snap procedural stuff on offense shocked me. Yeah, so.
Speaker 3 (18:41):
Kind of also why I wanted to touch on that now.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
Yeah, Again, they are a highly highly penalized team.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
And this won't be Blakeman's crew or Whoever's crew, but
they do.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
All star crews now, So I mean, you know who
the referee is going to be, you don't necessarily know
who the other guys on the crew are going to
be until you get to that point. I'd be interested
to see if any of Cleat's guys.
Speaker 4 (19:01):
Are right right right or where he's at. Yeah, you know,
and Goose should do these studies too, which probably aren't easy.
But the crew, what's the crews like versus All star teams? Better, worse, higher?
Speaker 3 (19:15):
Lest they just started doing this a few years ago.
Speaker 4 (19:17):
I know the Super Bowl is always an all star team. Yeah, okay,
so we're kind of getting to the point around here. Yeah,
and it would be a difficult And how do you
know who the All Stars are and who's calling what
penalties too?
Speaker 3 (19:27):
That's yeah, yeah, yeah, it's tough to figure out something.
I mean to go back, you'd almost have to go
back and look, Okay, who threw that flag? All right,
I'm gonna mark that. Often sometimes there's multiple you know.
Speaker 4 (19:37):
It's somebody to doing. They're judging all the line judges.
This is what they do, like rank and LONGSTI yeah, right,
and they go through this and come through this. Okay,
here's this guy graded out here, this guy grated out that.
Speaker 3 (19:48):
You'll see the guys who.
Speaker 4 (19:50):
Can stay home in the playoffs, right right, some of
that happened, right right. You're the worst at it. Somebody's
best and worst.
Speaker 3 (19:56):
With everything, absolutely but just interesting little thing thereby Goose Goslin.
You can check his workout now. He works with the
He's on the Talk of Fame network. It's a Hall
of Fame Bype issue. You know, a bunch of the
writers who are on the Hall of Fame committee, gotcha
and Goose is one of those, So that's cool. Anyways,
let's get to a break. He is the Matt Williamson.
(20:18):
I'm Dale Lolly. You're listening to the Drive here on
the Steelers Audio Network, and of course you can hear
the Drive every Monday through Friday from four to six
pm right here on these very airwaves. You can also
download the Steelers Mobile app and get that directly downloaded
to your phone. And you can also watch on our
YouTube channel or listen and of course leave us your
comments there. We're gonna take a break. We'll be back
(20:40):
with more right after this.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
He is the Drive with Dale Lolly and Matt Williamson
on your twenty four to seven home of the Black
and Gold in Steelers Nation Radio.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
And we are back. I'm Dale LOLLI. He is the
Matt Williamson except no imitations, and Matt looking here on
the thirty third team. Ian Valentino is one of their
NFL analysts breaks down every team in the playoffs X factor.
Oh okay, let's take a look at who he has
on there, see if we agree or disagree who we
(21:22):
would come up with in that situation. For the Kansas
City Chiefs, he has cornerback Josh Williams.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
Yeah, I guess that's a good one. I mean they're
corners besides McDuffie, are you know not what they've been
with Sneed and those guys. So we'll see how that
works out. For the Detroit Lions wide receiver Jamison Williams,
it's a good one. He's kind of all little. When
he makes big plays, they're really hard to deal with.
(21:51):
Probably taken something on defense.
Speaker 3 (21:52):
He's volatile in many many ways.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
Yeah, absolutely, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
People think this is the thing about George Pickens, and
I hear people talk about George Pickens. You know, wouldn't
if it was just off the field stuff, like what
is what's off of?
Speaker 4 (22:05):
What's off the.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
Field with George? I've seen nothing off the field? Okay, Oh,
he's short with the media.
Speaker 4 (22:10):
That's not the first about that, right, right, right, It's
not the first time get arrested or getting in for anything.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
Right, He's not been doing any of that kind of stuff.
It's he is volatile on the field, I think, much
like Jamison Williams.
Speaker 4 (22:24):
Yeah, Williams get suspended all the time, right. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:29):
Uh. For the Philadelphia Eagles, more defensive tackle Moro a Joemo,
why would not be the guy that I picked?
Speaker 4 (22:38):
No, I mean he's their fourth defensive tackle. Yeah, he's
a fine player. I mean, I really like Milton Williams
and Carter is a really good player. That's a tough one, though.
I'm not sure who I'd come up with. That's a
really stacked off.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
I might have Dallas Goddard. He's coming back like you
haven't had him in the last month.
Speaker 4 (22:54):
It's a nice addition to an already strong crew. Hurts
his head would be another one too, hurts his head.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
That's right up there with Taylor Swift for the Bills
edge rusher Von Miller.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
Yeah, maybe you can get the best from him, you know,
put it all together spot situations. No, Rousseau is already good.
Maybe he can close out some games for you.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
It is his age. Okay, it's a good one for
the Ravens Marlon Humphrey, that's kind of cheating.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
I think he's solid. I think you know what you're getting. Yeah,
you know what I mean, Right, that's on. I don't
think that's a wild card or a right, that's that's
a consistent player that you know.
Speaker 3 (23:35):
Yeah, that for the rape given the fact that we
think the Zay Flowers isn't going to play, I mean
it would be like an Agalar or could be an
agar could be as bateman, Like, yeah, what are they
going to give you here?
Speaker 4 (23:49):
I was initially thinking one of their offensive lineman not
named stan Lee or Linderbaum. You know, like if one
of those guys turns into a big liability, they don't
have much many other answers. Yeah, mm hmm.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
For the Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen McMillan, he's.
Speaker 4 (24:05):
Coming on pretty strong. Yeah. Could he take the next
level in the playoffs, everything's just ramped up a little.
Speaker 3 (24:09):
I'd look at Kate ought in there too.
Speaker 4 (24:10):
Yeah, yeah, you know what you're getting out Evans, But
who my other pass? Who do? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (24:15):
And Auten has been out for a little while, but
he had a really good stretch. Good player out uh.
For the Houston Texans wide receiver John Matchie. That's that's
a I mean.
Speaker 4 (24:27):
No Dell, no digs.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
Yeah, I assume do you think Machi plays ahead of
the ante? Probably? Probably he's been he knows the offensive
there is he gonna play more than Robert Woods.
Speaker 4 (24:37):
That's what I'm assuming. That why they took Matchi not
Woods is my original thought.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
Yeah, Xavier Hutchinson, like, there's some other dudes there that
Mechi's one of the most confidence. Yeah, she's me. She's
a good one for the Los Angeles Rams safety Cameron
kinchins Kay.
Speaker 4 (24:54):
And he's played a lot as a rookie. You know,
I guess that's as good as any anything the back
seven would have been.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
And yeah, could have been Ross Cockrell or not Ross
Cockrell whom I think Kello Weatherspoon. Yeah, Yeah, he's playing
a lot for them, right Ross cockran way back machine.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
I'm like any think he was in the league, Uh
for the Minnesota Vikings defensive lineman Jihad Ward.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
That's digging deep.
Speaker 4 (25:21):
That's digging deep. I mean he's a rotational player. I
don't know that he's able to you know, sway the
balance of power good or bad.
Speaker 3 (25:30):
I after the last game I have Sam Donald there.
He's definitely ball at all too Like he's the expects
if you get what you got out of Donald, can't
have that again. You can't have that performance in a
playoff and.
Speaker 4 (25:45):
All of a sudden people be like, I'm not you know,
I could even argue line for them a little over.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
I could argue Cam Robinson to the last I have to.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
Say maybe O line not named Brian O'Neill.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
For the Chargers wide receiver Quinton Johnston.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
They don't rely on him a ton, but he's had
a lot better year than his rookie season. I didn't
think he had it in him.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
He ended the season he had forty two catches for
five hundred and twenty five yards and eight touchdowns. The
touchdowns they don't throw a lot of touchdowns, no, but
he's been the guy that has gotten the most of that.
Remember he had forty two catches this season. What do
you have the last game? Like eleven sounds abut right?
Last game?
Speaker 4 (26:27):
Yeah, I mean they're trying to feature him. Yeah, that's
a good wild card. There's some talent there obviously for.
Speaker 3 (26:33):
The Washington Commanders is a good one. Cornerback Marshawn Latimore.
Speaker 4 (26:38):
Yeah, I think that's a real good one. He hasn't
played hardly at all. Four got him for a reason.
He can be sort of a shutdown guy.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
Here's the thing. So the part of the interesting part
of that game this week, Marshawn Latimore and Mike Evans, Yeah, yeah,
have had some monumental blow ups on the field. Not
just battles, but they battled physically.
Speaker 4 (26:58):
I actually thought about that. I mean the same kind
of let Evans get that last catch. You think Latimore will.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
Know he mugged him at the line of right, like,
drag him down and got the stomach right and come
back out to get super guy.
Speaker 4 (27:12):
You know that's huge. I mean, is he gonna try
to lock down Evans? Is that how this coaching staff
views them? I don't know.
Speaker 3 (27:18):
Yeah, I mean he's got a history there. If I'm Marshall,
I guarantee you Marshaw Lattimore is going to the coaching staff.
Is that No, I'm back this week. I want that.
Speaker 4 (27:24):
I want him, and I bet they let him. I mean,
that's why you trade for That's why he went and
got him for the Packers cornerback Carrington Valentine. I don't
know about him. I mean I know that now there
out there, you know the their depth corners have been
tested and wouldn't chalk me their first round pick next
year as a corner.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
I don't know who I'd go with them. Maybe a
guy like a Dontavium Wicks. You know that with Watson,
Watson's out, some of the other guys are in and out,
and I.
Speaker 4 (27:55):
Guess they deal with a J. Brown and Devonte Smith
this week. It's a big deal to start, Yeah, big deal?
Speaker 3 (28:02):
Uh? For the Denver Broncos quarterback bow Knicks.
Speaker 4 (28:08):
Sure, I mean I guess you could. Yeah, the rookie
quarterback in the first play game is definitely a crap shoot.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
But I might. I might put Julian mc laughlin is
their X factor.
Speaker 4 (28:20):
It's not a bad one because I mean he's gonna
do some big plays and he can make plays for you.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
And again that Bill's defense is not great against the run.
Speaker 4 (28:28):
I might take his face the corner not named certain Uh,
the white guy.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Yeah, I know who you're talking. I'm trying to it's
not Mills.
Speaker 4 (28:39):
It's now because I mean, when he's been sharp, they
don't pick on him. But when he's coming back and
he's he's been kind of OFFI from Iowa. They get
ripped in, he gets ripped up and attacked. Yeah, you know,
pictures facy for he's been good, not when he's half healthy.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
That leads us with the Steelers. Who would your X
factor for the Steelers be?
Speaker 4 (28:59):
I mean Pickens has some of it because he could
be great, or he could have what we just saw.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
He's had more great than what we just Yes, yeah, hmmm,
I might go Mike Williams.
Speaker 4 (29:15):
Yeah, I'm thinking offense heavily. Yeah, I mean I kind
of think you know who the defensive player right are?
I wouldn't pick any of the offensive linemen. But what
if Dan Moore? I mean, he's been last month, hasn't
ye if you get back to October, Dan More, that's
a lot different.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
Who did go with Russell?
Speaker 4 (29:34):
And Wilson thought it a quarterbacks kind of a card, right,
that's not an X factor or a wild card. No,
I would not have gone Nick I dismissed because it
was a rookie. But I would not go with the Yeah,
the guy trying to win his tenth playoff game, he's
kind of done this.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
Already, right, And the reason they went with as was.
You know, his last four games haven't been as good. Sure,
who was he missing in that game? Yeah, yeah, a
bunch of those games George Pickens, And then George Pickens
last week wasn't George Pickens. So yeah, when you take
the number one receiver out of the offense, or you
take the number one receiver takes himself out of the offense, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
(30:15):
the numbers aren't going to be quite as good. Again,
I'll go back to this, if Pickens, If George Pickens
just catches the thirty eight yarder down the sideline as
he should have, as he had done all season long,
that was not broken up by the defensive back. It
was a flat out drop. It was a perfectly thrown ball.
Speaker 4 (30:33):
That game could be a lot different.
Speaker 3 (30:35):
Wilson's numbers are a lot different.
Speaker 4 (30:38):
We might be previewing the Texans, we might be previewing it. Yeah, exactly,
you know so, and he's not the only reason they lost.
Speaker 3 (30:46):
No, I'm not saying that at all. And I'm not
saying Wilson was great in that game. He didn't turn
the ball over though, And you know, even though he
there was some maybe some procedural mistakes at the end
of the game. You know, I'm not gonna blame him
for taking a sack when yeah, Hendrickson's on his back
in two point five seconds.
Speaker 4 (31:05):
But there was a scramble that he picked up two
or three yards that the clock just kept rolling.
Speaker 3 (31:09):
Yeah, you know, did not do the Steelers any favors.
And I understand you're trying to get some yardage, you know,
in that situation. And maybe he didn't see the defender
there when he turned the corner, but there he was.
But he put the ball right on Firar with that
place started with fifteen seconds left on the clock. The
clock was not running. I hear people talking about that
play and said, well, I don't know that they would
(31:30):
have gotten to the line of scrimmage. I would have
liked to have found out.
Speaker 4 (31:34):
I mean, like, I wouldn't expect this author to be
in the weeds like we are with the Steelers. But
Mike Williams is probably my choice. I would say, so,
if we think he's going to get a bump, can
he give you three or four big plays?
Speaker 3 (31:45):
We're you know, if Justin Field's in that situation, would
he be an X factor? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (31:50):
Yeah, do you expect him to play. I thought he
was gonna play last week. Yeah, I think I. Well,
they didn't have the ball enough last week if annas.
Speaker 3 (31:58):
Yeah, this time around and he's completely healthy now yeah,
I expect to see some Justin Fields.
Speaker 4 (32:04):
I kind of do every game now.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
Yeah, and I've heard people talk about well Justin Fields.
The Steelers have benched him the last month. No, he's
been hurt.
Speaker 4 (32:12):
No, he was an active.
Speaker 3 (32:13):
He was inactive because he was hurt.
Speaker 4 (32:14):
Yeah, it's not like they liked Alan better, yeah, and
benched him. He was hurt. Yeah, So.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
Nothing to save him for now. So no, burn the boats,
earn the boats.
Speaker 4 (32:25):
What's that mean? There you go?
Speaker 3 (32:29):
Anyways, So Russell Wilson is the guy that they used here,
and well, Russell Wilson's kind of low hanging fruit. It is.
Speaker 4 (32:35):
It is.
Speaker 3 (32:36):
Russell Wilson spoke to the media today and well the
quarterback spoke. So let's as we've done the last few weeks.
Because they've had Saturday games, Wednesday games, all that stuff,
we've been able to play them back on the show.
We'll do that when we come back. He's Matt Williamson.
I am Dale, Lolly. You're listening to the drive here
on the Steelers Audio Network.
Speaker 2 (33:01):
At least, he's the Drive with Dale Lolly and Matt
Williamson on your twenty four to seven Home of the
Black and Gold cast in Steelers Nation Radio.
Speaker 3 (33:14):
Welcome back to the Drive. I'm Dale LOLLI he is
the Matt Williamson and Matt being a Wednesday here Wednesday,
that is a Thursday.
Speaker 4 (33:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
We get to hear from Russell Wilson earlier today. We
just talked about him as being the Steelers kind of
X factor here in this game, and we experience is key.
His experience is key, It's critical, and you hear him
talk a little bit about that here. But I wanted
to get to what he had to say to the
media today as the Steelers get ready to play the
Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
Rush you talked about having anees. Is that easy to
do to leaving four straight at the end of the players, No,
it's not thing. It's easy to do.
Speaker 6 (33:53):
But I think also singular focused, you know, I think
that the opportunity we have in front of us, it's
a great one. We're excited about opportunity obviously in the playoffs,
and it's uh, you know, guys that you know, played
fifteen years and never gotten the playoffs, So a lot
of these guys who haven't. It's an exciting moment, exciting time.
It's exciting for all of us because we also know
how how how how good of a team we are
(34:14):
when we play our best, and excited about the opportunity
of those times, you know, facing the.
Speaker 1 (34:18):
Challenge we're in.
Speaker 6 (34:19):
Do you feel like do you feel like you have
a lot of personally at stake in this just because
next year's I'm certainly at disappoint Yeah, I guess I
always think about the moment, and I'm not really worried
about you, you know, down the road or anything like that.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
I always think about just the moments of being uh
in the moment.
Speaker 6 (34:34):
Of today's practice, being the moment of.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
This this game that we have.
Speaker 1 (34:41):
That always handles himself, you know, I'm excited about that.
Speaker 6 (34:44):
The opportunity of playing the playoffs and and play with
these guys, that's where my focus is.
Speaker 5 (34:48):
Rus when you've been back to the conversations you were
having like this dealers, like Jarmlin, that's back in March,
when you're trying to figure out where you want to go,
how much of getting a playoff when here was I
parted that, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
Yeah, that's great, man. That's a huge part of this journey.
We're not just looking for one playoff one, but the
only one you can get is this one right now.
Speaker 6 (35:09):
And so I think the focus for us is just
getting ready to go and join the process of this.
You know, playing in the playoffs is such a special thing,
and like I said, some of the guys who haven't
played in the playoffs, this is a special moment falls.
But I think that I think the most important thing
we can do is just folks on our discipline, folcus
on our preparation, focus on getting ready and then getting
(35:31):
ready when the when the balls kicked off, of playing
our best for sixty minutes.
Speaker 3 (35:34):
But we're kind of breaking that cycle.
Speaker 1 (35:36):
Part of the conversation, Yeah, for sure. I think that's
definitely a huge part of it.
Speaker 6 (35:40):
You know, And you know, I've been fortunate to play
a lot of playoff games, a lot.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Of moments, and I think to be able to use
that experience and to you know, you know, talk talk
to guys about.
Speaker 6 (35:49):
What it feels like, what it what it is, and
the moments that you know can forever change your life
and all that. So we're living it. We're right in
the middle of it right now, and we're excited about
that opportunity to go a show who we can be.
Speaker 4 (36:02):
You know.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
That's that, man's the fun part of it. At the
end of the player game, we didn't we didn't get
it done.
Speaker 6 (36:09):
And then I think it's simple as it is, but
I think the next opportunity is always the best one, uh,
you know, and hopefully that uh we want to get
into that two minute situation again or in the last
you know, drive of the game, we can go win it.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
Going into this, So saying.
Speaker 3 (36:24):
The last month you all that.
Speaker 4 (36:27):
You feel like you have a handle on that going
into the playoffs, Well, at the same time, I feels
like you're.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Too restricted and risk taking.
Speaker 6 (36:32):
Yeah, I think we got to be aggressive in our
mentality is one game in the past game and and uh,
you know.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
Having no fear of these games of a game and being.
Speaker 6 (36:40):
Question in the playoffs, things go your way a lot,
sometimes they don't.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
Moments and being respond and all.
Speaker 6 (36:46):
That stuff, and so being have having having understanding of
what's gonna help us win is obviously you know, we
have one run ball.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
Effectively, you want to be able to obviously throw it effective,
going to be able to score in the red zone,
just the normal stuff. It's not it's not a new games.
The game is still always the same game. It's just
it's just a.
Speaker 6 (37:03):
Little bit more exposure, a little bit more uh, a
little bit more fun, a little bit more worthwhile.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
Us well that too many guys in this from have rings.
Speaker 5 (37:10):
You know, do you feel like I'd added responsibility since you
sort of know what it takes to have success this time,
you're to sort of impart some of that wisdom one.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
Of these guys.
Speaker 6 (37:17):
Yeah, I've been talking to the guys a lot of
just about the process of winning, in the process of
what it sounds like to go into the playoffs, and
but you know, just the feeling that it is, you know,
and it is one hundred yards still fifty three and
a third the same field and everything else, but you know,
you're you're closer to the dreams that you always dreamed
about when you're a young kid, you know, and the
(37:37):
opportunity of that and what we all work for and
so that's real and I think that you know what
I think also too, you know, I think a big
part of it, right, now is just.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
You know, we're painting the picture of of how good
we are when we're good, you know, and how great
that is.
Speaker 6 (37:52):
And I think we were one of the hotest teams
of football, you know, and that was you know, that
was a month ago, but it doesn't It wasn't that
far here, you know, when that long ago. And so
I think the biggest thing is that how do we
recreate that, How do we build that, how do we
go off of that, how do we communicate that way,
how do we play that way? How do we make
you know, plays in that manner? And I know that
we can about how we practice, how we prepare, And
(38:13):
I think the best the best part about it is
we've got the same guys in the locker room that.
Speaker 1 (38:17):
We had a month ago when everybody was cheering us on.
So I think the best thing is is that you
just focus on the moments.
Speaker 6 (38:23):
And I think that we're focused on, you know, go
and performing over the over this week and seeing where
that takes us. Rush what do you take on those
first two matches or those other two matchesmore that you
can use for these they're great, they're great matchups.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
Obviously AFC North in their battles.
Speaker 6 (38:38):
The great football players on both sides, some of the
best players in the world and both sides of the ball.
So you know, for both teams, and I think that
you know, we're gonna have to play our best or
do our thing and have great confidence. I think there's
a lot of things they do extend extreaded well. They
got a lot of great players, especially the defensive side.
They do a lot of good things mixed up with coveragers.
They do, you know, how to make plays. So I
(38:59):
think the best thing we can do this here's the
things that.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
You've done really really well.
Speaker 6 (39:02):
I think there's been a lot of those things those
those two games, and you know, capitalize on them.
Speaker 4 (39:10):
And the way they use their persons same one time,
their defense and the way that their personnel in the
second half of the season, what's made that so challenging
against them.
Speaker 6 (39:19):
You know, I think they've done a good job of
making adjustments. I think that as you go throughout the season,
there's there's highs and lows. I think that they it
may seem really good adjustments over the best. You know,
since Week eleven, really you've done some really good things.
And so I think they created turnovers. They've done a
really good job of that. The their star players I've
played great in certain moments, they've you know and all that,
and I think the biggest thing that we can do
(39:40):
is just.
Speaker 1 (39:41):
You know, play great, one play at the time.
Speaker 6 (39:43):
And hopefully it's you know, it's seventy plus plays and
in all seven of those players are goals rs.
Speaker 5 (39:48):
Understanding though a lot of the goals that you've talked
about and this team talked about happened in the postseason.
Speaker 3 (39:53):
How do you measure if this season is suss.
Speaker 6 (39:56):
Think we all know that answer. I mean, I think,
you know, we all you know, searching for one thing.
You know, that's always the case of the year, and
I think that we have the capability of doing that.
Speaker 1 (40:04):
Great thing is we've got a great chance, meaning that
we're in it. I mean, that's a big part of it.
I think that anytime you go into a season, number
one goal obviously is to to get to.
Speaker 6 (40:13):
The playoffs and have that chance and then from there,
you know, use all the experiences, all the highs and
lows of the season then and then responding at the
highest level. You know, when when when when the lights
come on? And so uh, lights will be on. We'll
be ready to go and and we're gonna give our
best and we'll play. Russ said today on offense is
gonna leave no stone unturned in the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (40:34):
What does that mean to you?
Speaker 6 (40:37):
I think that just, you know, Arthur, obviously, I think
that what that means is just if you want to
be able to play our best, we want to you know,
you know, whatever plays that we feel like are great ones,
runs and pastes, whatever those are, you know, make sure
that we that we get to them.
Speaker 1 (40:50):
And uh and I think that also too. I think
it also means just our preparation in the week. I
think how how all of our guys have been preparing.
Speaker 6 (40:58):
I think guys like Zach Frasier and Mason and and
we're all the whole offensive line and now they've been
preparing the right way, and just their thought process, our
protection meetings and our our run meetings and our past means,
and just the receivers have done a great job and
communication all week, and the confidence of that and just
you know, and how we practice today. I think guys
were really doing everything they could, you know, be at
(41:20):
the best today, and I think that was really good
to see and I just think that our effort, you know,
our tight ends and running backs, and so that's that's
part of the you know, every stone on turn.
Speaker 1 (41:29):
It's just how we go about it, you know.
Speaker 6 (41:31):
I think also to just the enthusiasm of playing ball
and the game we love and the opportunity that we
have in front of us for the Pittsburgh Dealers. Man,
what a great opportunity we have. We know, we know
what this this game means in the sense of this
it's our next one and we've got to make sure
that we make it our best one.
Speaker 1 (41:46):
And so that's just that's just where we are in
that sense. Got three and one record first round, Tafa,
how much do you draw from that versus maybe getting
the taste of their last.
Speaker 3 (41:59):
Playoff game out of got of your mouth?
Speaker 6 (42:01):
How much do you personally from Yeah, I mean I
think I think you've used all the experiences, you know,
especially when you had to play on the road.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
In the playoffs and everything else. Is being able to
win those games.
Speaker 6 (42:10):
Obviously think that you anytime you get to win the
first one is a huge one just because it's when
you get that first pitch you know out, and I
think that's a big thing. For us in this locker
room and everything else. And so yeah, for me, you know,
it's like I said to you, guys, it's it's being
poised in those moments, you know, looking forward to it,
knowing that it's gonna be a four quarter game, it's
(42:30):
going to be a battle, and we're looking forward to
the opportunity of it. And I've been fortunate obviously to
hold the trophy and everything else and do some special
things in the playoffs and then the moments of that,
and that we want to use all that experience that
we have, and some of the guys in this locker
room too, and guys like Van Jefferson and Ben Skronnick
and guys who you know played at the highest level too,
and moments and teams and those help, you know.
Speaker 1 (42:51):
Especially on the offensive side of the ball.
Speaker 6 (42:53):
We have some of the world class best players in
the world and guys like TJ and Cam and Uminka
and those guys, and so I want to make sure
that they get the takes of that too.
Speaker 1 (43:02):
And and it's all about our.
Speaker 6 (43:03):
Effort and how we focus and how we put it together.
And so that's the fun part about this game.
Speaker 1 (43:09):
Games.
Speaker 5 (43:10):
What do you take from that?
Speaker 7 (43:10):
To utilize in this uppoint Yeah, I think that, you know,
it's it's uh, there's some things that we're doing really well,
and I want to want to make sure we focus
on those things and do those things and and make
sure that we multiply that, uh, you know, a few
times over.
Speaker 1 (43:23):
I think that's a big thing.
Speaker 6 (43:24):
And then anything that we haven't done well, obviously, I
think the most important thing is is is us being
able to you know, execute certain moments and in doing.
Speaker 1 (43:33):
That at a high level.
Speaker 6 (43:34):
And that's the opportunity we get, you know, and this
is uh, this is our this is our chance to do.
Speaker 1 (43:38):
It, and we're excited about that.
Speaker 6 (43:40):
And I think that's our focus is let's let's keep
repeating the things we're doing well and really anything that's
that's not still good.
Speaker 1 (43:46):
So I think I've got a chance to do that.
All right, Thank you guys, appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (43:49):
That was Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson with the assembled media
earlier today, and uh, goods up. You know, he's he's
going to be important. I mean, every quarterback is going
to be a team. But yes, to play well, Y's
play well. Still a young offense. People forget that you know.
I mean, there's a handful of dudes that will make
their first playoffs start. He's gonna keep the wheels on
the train, you know, going down the track, and keep
(44:10):
everybody on the right page, and we'll see how many.
It's gonna be a tough chore. He will be mister positive,
I know that, noubless of how things happen, and he's
gonna try to keep everybody in the right mind frame.
Mm hmm.
Speaker 4 (44:23):
Showed up heavy on hard Knocks last night too, doing
a lot of that during the game. Good stuff.
Speaker 3 (44:27):
So anyways, that's going to do it for the show
to they Matt, Yeah, bring on him. And we'll be
back again tomorrow to talk some more Steelers Ravens and
some of the other matchups of course, whi els. We'll
be back on Friday. We'll make our picks for the
weekend's games. We'll have our DFS picks all that fun stuff.
But for tonight, that's gonna do it. So for my
partner Matt Williamson, for Justin Miller here on site running
