Speaker 1 (00:00):
Final segment. Here it's the Alley and Donovan Show featuring
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Alie mar Pett and Donovan Smith. Now

(00:21):
here's your host Buck's team reporter Acy Phillips. It's time
for week two of the Alley and Donovan Show, and
I'm Casey Phillips here with them, and we're just hulking
out of some Hawaiian shirts because we had said on
the show we were going to wear Hawaiians and then
a certain two gentlemen forgot about that. I happened I did.

(00:44):
I s not accurate. Yeah, He's like, hey, oh yes,
I also happened to have three because apparently knowing you
for three years has caused me to accumulate Hawaiians problem
from doing things. That's true, it's not a bad problem
to have. So I brought the three thinking a gonna
hang them on the step, but instead now they get
to uh, can I see that flex you just did
again in the sleeve? Like we're just like going out

(01:07):
over here and you you didn't even try me. Come on,
Let's come on, let's give it a try. Let's let's
see how this goes. We also have the Big Man
Towels today but like we decided that those little towels
that we had last week, we're just not doing the job.
A little little help. It's the arm is there, it
is way back there. I don't want to rip it.

(01:31):
Why not? It's two dollars from good Will. There you go.
Now I can actually fit the rest of the show.
Where did that even rip? I heard the ripping? Oh
there it is, yep, under the arm on that side.
That that was phenominous. I hope we got that audio
so everybody could hear that. Amazing there you now you can't.

(01:54):
This is our new workout, but it looks amazing. It
looks amazing. So you can now tell people were a medium? Sure,
when's the last time you were a medium? Kindergarten? It's
called middle schore or something like that. Sure, middle school? No,
because middle school we were into those uh long teeth.

(02:16):
Oh yes there or something like that. So our last
Big Man struggle we discussed chairs, and now that we
got to hear the ripping of the shirts that I
figured the perfect Big Man struggle for this week would
be clothes. So for you guys, when you have to
buy clothes, when was it? Well, first of all, can
you buy any just like off the rag normal clothes. Ali,

(02:39):
I can Yeah, I'm not. I'm big. I'm not big. No,
it's just he's plus sized. That's okay. Oh you're not. No,
if you can't, you can't, then your plus So this

(03:01):
is the problem. So see what had happened. I have
little people's legs. I feel like I was sitting here
as a as a smaller carry all my way up
up top. So my jeans I only wear a thirty
eight in the waist, you know what I'm saying here,

(03:24):
which is why we're holking out of the shirt in
the arms to three x is you know what I'm saying.
And then like I got a big bag, so long
sleeves don't work. The shirts of the problem. So pants
are not that bad for you as the shirts of
the problem. Also, it's like dress clothes, like dress clothes
dress close. We're also like our neck from my next
like whatever nineteen. So it's like the shirt is just

(03:44):
so boxing and wide. Because they assume that if you're never,
there's always, there's always. They think it's like that you're
either short and fat or tall and skinny. They don't
they don't have that's the problem. So this so you'll
get like two X and it'll be two x this

(04:07):
way exactly. That's so sad. And so is this why
Hawaiians are a big win for you? So wines are
great because they're when they're loose, they're great. I mean
you want them loose and then you can also, like
I can fit into a five X wine or three
X or even sometimes at two x you get three
x tall. Want to have your chest hair. I don't

(04:29):
want to have that look. But yeah, speaking of the
chest hair out, I feel like that's a perfect time
to discuss the clothing of Ryan Fitzpatrick after the win
against the Eagles for his postgame press conference. Did you
guys see him in that moment or did you not
see it till later? I didn't see it. You didn't
see it? I see in the locker room, my bill. Yeah,
I didn't see it until Did you saw the photos later?

(04:50):
They're hilarious? Tell me your your thoughts. If you were
to rate this outfit, he should be in like fashion
the Shawn's outfit, so right, which is yeah, that's very true.
He pulled it off though it was perfect, it was incredible.
I agree with that. Chains Now to hang out. He

(05:13):
did say that was the only part of the outfit
that was his was his chest hair, which was my
favorite response to a question I've ever heard, is any
of that yours? The chest hair? Uh? So the Hawaiian
shirts are your big your big thing, and we actually
there was even a dress like Ali day back was
it two years ago that the old line did on
a travel day? Um, and it was Polos, but it
wasn't Hawaiians. So for like for preseason games and for

(05:35):
like West Coast games, were allowed to wear just collar
shirts and Khaki's or dressed the Hawian exactly instead of
suit and tie. So for me, it was just Polo
and Khaki's. Nice. Everyone were the bucks pulling that. But
then there also was a day where everybody wore Hawaiians, right,
Like the whole of line was that out of California
was Yeah, it was because to California hollered, which is

(06:01):
that was the next thing I was going to ask,
is everyone in the photo gave the thumbs up if
anyone doesn't understand perfect, So why do you thumbs up
in everything? In case people don't know? It is every
photo since when you think I don't know in high school.
It's just like awkward, just became to go to just

(06:25):
Oh that was good too. There's like a there's some
shoulder action. You don't just put the hand out. There's
there's a technique. So I don't know when it came
to be, but it came to be and it's just
stuck with me and I like it. It's incredible. How
do you feel about this when you're a similar thing?
He does? What do you do? He does? Yeah, some

(06:51):
variation of the pieces we're throwing. We're basically talking about
the fact that no one knows what to do with
their hands and photos. Is that what's happening? Because if
you stay in here's like, oh and you put him
in the front, Yeah, you put you can put one
around unless you get sich. But like if you're by yourself,
it's like, so that's the stand, that's what you do.

(07:17):
That face with the swag. I appreciate that, um, and
we also know we do have the big man tells
to you also, Yeah, I think we're prepared for all
the sweat because after we got up after last week,
we discussed the chairs were a little sweaty. It's about
learn from your mistakes, getting better and that's what we've
done here man' towels. Which there you go. And that's
another benefit of the Hawaiian shirt. Is that accurate of

(07:39):
the sweat? That's it's down the fist? And did you
get any comments on the fact that he called you
out on all the sweatiness. Everyone who knows me knows
that they already know this, that this is a real thing.
Uh and the sweatness? Is there a solution for you
guys in this? This is the other big man struggle
that I feel like there's just no solar to the wedding.

(08:01):
What's your solution? There's no You do that and and
that's it. You just can't high five. That's high fathers
are out for me. Baby powder, no now imagining you're
going to hide with like a like just paste on
your hand because the powder would then be turned into

(08:23):
the face. Just stick your hands in right, Actually you
can get talks. I think you can shoot botox and
that's sweat. I don't know if you do it in
your hands though, I don't know, But now are you
willing to do that? Look into it. We're looking at
Allie getting botox for sweating? Still are so young? You
don't need any of that. I love it. Okay, we're
still have tons weren't coming up on The Alien Donoman Show.

(08:43):
We're gonna talk about that Eagles game, the next one
coming up against Money Night Football, and take some of
your fan questions. We'll be right back. Welcome back into
the Alien Donovan Show. We're still looking at just feeling
really swollen these shirts. I mean, I'm I'm in injured,
ripping out of mind. It's like a medium and I

(09:06):
think it's it's who knew who are? Yeah, we gave
you the large over there. That's it's it's a great look.
That's a good hone over there. I think this is
a good one. Okay, we're gonna a little bit of
football occasionally. We talked about these things on here. So
that Eagles game beat the defending Super Bowl champs kind
of cool, right, kind of big deal. I wish it

(09:27):
was cool out there. Speaking of the sweating, like we're
talking my last segment, I've felt for y'all. And they
kept showing that thermostat saying it was Hunter two on
the field. Yeah, the whole feels like thing was a
hunter too. I think a little more it was hot,
like it was hot very that one of the hotter
ones you guys have played in. Yeah, I think hotter
games like practice. We get that a lot during Do

(09:48):
you feel more used to it because of practice? Yes,
everybody talks about that like, oh, the box will be
used to it. It doesn't. It doesn't make Kenny better. No,
it was. It was good though. It helped us. I
know that. You really do you think that if the
Eagles were struggling more than you guys were with it? Yeah,
they were struggling. Um, they were a good d lion

(10:11):
and anytime you can take away their pass rush and
be protected good And Fits did this thing again and yeah, yeah,
I mean talk about it the offensive protetutor. You guys
have just been killing the last couple of games, and
you mentioned the great protection. I mean there's been a
lot of huge plays. They talked about both o J
and Shawn getting seventy five plus yard touchdown catches. I mean,

(10:33):
y'all have to be giving Fits a lot of time
for those routes to develop. Yeah, I mean that those
guys said a lot of yards after catches, especially for
o J. It's impressive that like a tight end to
break it off like that he really is. I mean,
athletically adjusting incredible, That's very true. How would you guys
rate overall over line? First, first couple of games? Uh

(10:53):
do you want our grades or do you want like
the whole put it in like a uh B plus
B plus. Okay. The reason you were thinking the coaches
because y'all, y'all have watched film now and heard the
coaches maybe pointing out all the things. I mean, we
can be so much for us, We're going to be
so much better in the run game. And that's a
priority of ours. And that's the hope for this next

(11:18):
game for sure, is getting that going. And just when
you have the big plays in the passing game, I'm
sure it does alleviate a lot of that um, but
still hoping to get the run game go. And that's
the big goal you guys have for football. Thing. You
got Payton back there, totally things, So we just gotta
find a way, make it work, find a way. If
that's it all right, We are going to take all
of your fan questions next segments, so don't go anywhere.

(11:44):
Welcome back into the Alley and Donovan Show. It is
time for the fan questions. You guys prepared for these
I know I don't ever tell you what they are.
That's that's true, And some of these are very intriguing.
Last week we had the arm wrestling question. Today we
had a lot of food related questions. I can't now

(12:05):
you're that's a good point. That is how you can
prepare for some of these questions. Okay, Chris wants to
know for both of you, guys, how much do you
eat on a daily basis? It depends, is it an
off day, how many calories have you burned? And how
concerned are you about conditioning later? Okay, heavy day a lot.

(12:28):
Seriously scientific answer is I eat a lot. So a
lot to you and a lot to other people. Be different.
So let's go. Let's let's hear meal by meal, six eggs.
I would be done for hours after that. Keep going.
That's not it's by your point. Two pieces of toast,

(12:50):
ah bacon, ah potatoes and that that's your breakfast. The
manga's plates ali, on the other hand, the same every
you eat the same thing every day every for breakfast.

(13:12):
I'll switch up a little bit. There's some small subtleties,
but yeah, but all season in season also it can
be a little bit different again what you're doing that day.
But yeah, for at least I get speak for breakfast
is gonna be a bagel with like essentially avocado tosi
smashed the avocado on iti. Yeah um, and then uh,

(13:33):
like four eggs scrambled with like veggies, so spinach on
peppers and stuff like that. Oatmeal, well it's actually the JR.
Sweezie thing, but cinnamon, honey, uh, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds.
But nope, I don't. I stopped doing peanut butter. Why
I picked up the JR. Sweezie oatmeal thing? Yeah? Uh yeah,
So there's that and then usually a Greek yogurt and

(13:56):
fruit and that's just breakfast on a normal day. And
then would you say that is about the right the
same amount of food for the other meals it would be?
Is that you is that a heavy meal or is
that one of your like would you eat more like
is a little actually a little bit lighter because we
go straight out to practice, so you don't want to
be too heavy, that's true. Deal count calories? Is that

(14:18):
the thing you're supposed to do? Yeah, you can. We
kind of know where we're at at this point. You
know your body and you're not still trying like to
gain like I know we've talked about you had to
gain a lot of way at one point in your career.
But you neither of you guys are trying to gain
or lose a whole lot such just more of a
maintaining thing now in seasons about maintenance. Okay, so now
this is this next question is phenomenal. Zach wants to know.

(14:42):
Would you rather eat seventy two hot dogs like Joey
Chestnut does in the competition or watch Bob Ross for
seventy two hours straight? Who you said, Bob Ross? Who said?
Who is he? Oh? Gosh, you know who he is? Yeah,
he seems really disappointed in your right now that you
don't know, really enlightened painting like a little happy trees, trees,

(15:04):
Look at his face. It was on PBSS. He had
a big afro and hated it. Along with him, he
would teach you these landscapes. Actually have a Bob Ross
to coffee mug at my desk, and when you put
hot water in it, a painting appears that phenomenal and
it says there are no mistakes. Well, I'll be on Google.
So now you gotta go watch him, Barbara. So since
he doesn't know, you're going to go hot dogs for him,

(15:26):
and that's easy. Bob Ross, could you think you could
do an eating competition and do all? Yeah? I think
I would be pretty good. Yeah, what about you? I
think I'll do better than him actually eating hot dogs
at eating competition tacos food Maybe that's true. Years ago
we didn't do the taco competition. Six. No, you ate
more than that? Okay, well, I mean if I ain't three,

(15:48):
I know you ad any it's true. Yeah, you ate
like fourteen or because you took my three or four,
that's sure he did eat some of yours. I'll take that.
I'll take I'll take the chicken wings. I got you. So,
if you had to pick and eating competition you were
going to enter, what would each of you? Want it
to be one food and you're gonna have to eat
as much of it as possible. Oh, I can tell

(16:12):
so many options, Like, yeah, there's a lot that I
feel pretty confident going in with until you get there,
and you know what I'm saying, Like, I think I
do better than most people, like tacos, chicken cutlets, uh,
just as much sandwich as you can eat pretty much sandwiches,
not too much bread. Yeah, I know, but everyone else
has to think him. I want to do like how

(16:36):
they have them challenges of the world's biggest sub or whatever,
and you've got two people to eat it. If there's
one in Tampa, we're gonna find it. Yeah, and you
two would absolutely dominate that. All right. We'll close h
with this one. Mark wants to know who on the
Old Line eats the most when you go out to dinner,
because you guys do your weekly O Line dinners. And

(16:57):
then he also wants to know who the best cook
on the the line is. Do you want your cook first?
Do you know? Do you want answer? Yeah? Is it
his grilling right? Is? Actually? Yeah? I mean I don't
think any of us have a whole lot of we're
not to survive, Yeah, we can feed ourselves. Yeah, funny

(17:17):
me about that. We're actually gonna get see that in
the later episode. Here, you guys, we can't really did
some cooking segments that we've already shot that have not
aired yet that people will get a chance to see
you guys trying to be chefs. So Ryan Jenson is
the best cook who eats most man, I'm going to say, actually,

(17:39):
probably right. So he's just the food champion of the line. Yeah,
that's pretty impressive. We might have to have him on
one of our shows. He's already said he want to
come on and want himself from the night before, because yeah,
that's amazing. I love it. All Right, we still have
one more segment coming up here on the Alien Donovan Show.
We'll be right back time for the final segment here

(18:03):
on the Alley and Donovan Show, and we're going to
talk about this Monday night football game coming up here.
First of all, do you guys get extra hype for
a primetime game like that? Absolutely? Yeah, it's all eyes
on you Monday night sports, and I mean big stage.
I think everyone kind of plays a little bit faster,

(18:23):
it's a little more exciting. Uh, everyone gets a little
more amped up. So yeah, absolutely. Did you feel the
sameay about playing the defending super Bowl champs? Do that
seem to add anything to it? Or do you think
that the prime time actually gets people even more amped up?
That's a good question than we should ask them for
a living. I just say, when you dealing with like

(18:46):
the defending Super Bowl chants or whatever, like that's the
standard quarter quote. So like, as a team, you go
in there and you're like, Okay, well they want it
and we know we're better, so we gotta played better
and harder. So I guess it. It's tough. You can't
really in the NFL. You can't sleep on anyone. There

(19:07):
hard games that do mean a little bit more to you,
like division games, one of night games, defendise super Bowl
champ So I mean it's not like that other games
don't matter. When that means everything you just listed, you
guys are having in your first three games of the year. Yeah,
there's the division game on the road, the prime time defense,

(19:28):
every one of the toughest starts to the season. Right.
It was the hardest three game strip open a season
based on the opponent's records from the year before in
the Super Bowl era. Yeah, I mean, so I think, yeah,
to already know that you guys won the first two, Like,
what does that do for you guys going into this
next one? Confidence wise? You want to win the third.

(19:48):
I would never have guessed that would be a strategy
going Monday nights. Just win the game. What a thought, man,
you guys. This is why oh Lineman y'all are the thinkers,
the group. I love that any any already thoughts here
former center, that's why. Yeah, that's not smart enough anymore.
I kicked back, over kicked out smart enough for the show.

(20:12):
It's sorry. That's well, it's gonna do it for us.
Another week of Ali and Donovan show. We'll see you
back here next time. Oh yes,
