For years, I kept quiet — haunted by the burdens of who I used to be. The mistakes I made, the things I did... I no longer trusted myself. I couldn’t even look at me.
I actually planned to stay mad at myself for the rest of my life because it felt safe — and honestly, the world justified it.
We often praise women through the lens of feminism, telling them to do what feels right for them and their bodies. But what if what we choose leaves us scarred and ashamed, far from recovery?
This conversation is about how God saved me — from the world’s approval, from shame, and ultimately from myself.
I was burdened by decisions I tried to numb with drinking, smoking, partying, and pornography. But when you pick up your cross and follow Christ, you are renewed in Him.
The challenge, though, is learning to truly believe that. Because even after redemption, you might still wrestle with your past.
So I ask you—does the pain stop at the decision, or does it still carry out like a process, month after month, year after year?
This episode is raw, honest, and necessary. It’s for every woman who’s ever been haunted by her past but ready to walk into grace and freedom
