OpenAI recently made headlines by announcing a groundbreaking deal to offer its ChatGPT Enterprise platform to U.S. federal agencies for just $1 per agency for the next year. The regular price for ChatGPT Enterprise is around $60 per user per month, meaning government agencies are getting the same package for drastically less.
This move is part of a partnership with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) under the "OneGov" initiative, which aims to centralise technology procurement and accelerate the adoption of advanced AI tools across the federal government.
Agencies get full ChatGPT Enterprise access, which includes:
- Latest GPT models
- Unlimited usage
- Secure, enterprise-grade infrastructure
- Custom GPT creation
- Admin tools for data control
- 60-day special access to advanced features
- Dedicated onboarding and training through OpenAI’s government partners
