Episode highlights: *mentions of suicide, self-harm, dieting, eating disorders* My bumpy transition into high school at Harding, but marching band made it better, but maybe also worse? My grade after the first quarter in geometry brought things to a head with Granny. I started dating, actually dating after breaking up with my 8th grade boyfriend over the summer, but that relationship isn’t healthy. Along with, and perhaps because of that, I develop unhealthy eating habits that would probably be called an eating disorder. My mother and Les try again and even though it doesn’t work out, again, Les and I spent time together going to movies or having dinner at Wendy’s. I got called into the guidance counselor’s office which actually made things worse at home. To get out of the house, I started my first job as a cashier.
Finally, I shout out the books I’m reading and dish out this week’s dose of internet therapy. I just finished reading Obitchuary - The Big Hot Book of Death (they also have a podcast!) and I’m just about finished with The Stranger in my Genes by Bill Griffeth.
