Speaker 1 (00:00):

My friend, welcome in a Thursday's show. It's Battle in
the Morning. It's one oh five nine of the ride,

So a lot of things that were given away today
on the show. It's gonna be a fun one for sure.
Let's just jump right into it. Taking a look at
what's trending this morning. They've come a very long way
from spitting blood and flames. When President Trump announced the
twenty twenty five Kennedy Center honorees, the list includes George Strait,

(00:43):
Gloria Gaynor, Broadway Legend, Michael Crawford, Sylvester Stallone, and kiss Yes.
When TMZ reached out to various members of the band,
they were still processing the news, but obviously honored. Jean
Simon said, Kisses the embodiment of what the American dream is.
We're deeply honored to receive the Kennedy Center Honor. Peter

(01:04):
Chris said he feels so blessed that this is a
great honor of their career, as Freeley said that it
is a dream come true that I never thought would materialize.
And then Paul Stanley stated, from our early days, Kiss
has embodied the American idea that all things are possible
and that hard work pays off. I'm very curious if
we'll get, like all the guys from Kiss back together

(01:26):
for this possibly ceremonials slated for December on a day
to be determined, and I believe they said that President
Trump will also be hosting that as well. So Kiss
going into the Kennedy Center Honors they're getting that that
should be a lot of fun for sure. That is
a look at what's trending this morning. We'll play one

(01:46):
stupid question coming up here at six forty.

Speaker 2 (01:49):

Twe O five down the righte in Nashville's classic Rockets
Battle in the Morning. Now, I will tell you that
I have a lot of tattoos all over my body.
Some of them mean something, some of them don't, Right.
I mean, like, I've got a McDonald's chicken nugget tattooed
on my arm. So obviously you know that that's probably
one of those ones that doesn't mean much. But I
saw this story and I was like, I wonder if

(02:24):
my wife would do this for me. So today is
tattoo removal Day, and there was a woman at West
Virginia that took it to a whole other level. Her
husband recently passed away, and she decided she wanted to
preserve her husband, Steeler's tattoo. So here's what she had done.

(02:44):
We really had my husband's tattoo preserved.

Speaker 5 (02:46):
On Friday, after everybody left and I was doing my
goodbye is when the mortician and I stood there and
I got to outline the exact tattoo. I wanted my
husband having over seventy tattoos. I wanted the surrounding tattoo
whoo's in it as well.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
So you outline it and then the.

Speaker 5 (03:03):
Tissue is removed and save my ink forever. Send the
funeral home preservation bag.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yeah, now she hangs the uh the skin, the tattoo,
whatever you want to call it, just hanging there in
the living room as like a piece of artwork. I
get the concept behind this, but also wouldn't you feel
a little creeped out in a way just just asking
for a frim Hey?

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (03:31):
If you want to play holiday or if you want
to win Holiday World tickets and play one stupid question,
let's get you on the phone. Let's play right now.
Six one five seven three seven, one oh five nine
is the number against six one five seven, three seven,

I'll give it a dry all right, Joe Anne. Here's
the deal. I'm gonna ask you a stupid question. You
get it right, you get Holiday World tickets. You get
it wrong, somebody else is gonna be able to steal
these tickets away from you. Here's your one stupid question.
America has a series of lakes called the Great Lakes.

(04:46):
How many Great Lakes are there?

Speaker 7 (04:54):

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Is six your final answer? Joe Anne?

Speaker 8 (04:58):
Yeah, I or not?

Speaker 1 (05:02):
I gotta tell you.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Joe Anne.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Unfortunately you got it wrong. You were one off. The
answer was five was how many lakes are in the
Great Lakes? Joe Anne? Unfortunately you did not win one
stupid question today. So somebody's gonna now be able to
call and steal these tickets away from you. I'm very sorry,
but we appreciate your playing this morning. Thank you absolutely

(05:26):

means you just call in right now you want them.

Price want to join the show?

Speaker 4 (05:51):

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Rock Well, I gotta tell you it finally happened. Yesterday.
I got I'm stuck in one of those stupid pay
it forward chains. Now the question is do you think
that I paid it forward? Or did I break the
chain and say nah, I'm good. I'll take my free
drink and go. I'll tell you what happened and we'll
get your thoughts after. Ozzie, it's what O five ninther uck? Well,

(06:18):
it finally happened to me yesterday, a thing that I
never thought would It's what O five nine the right
Nashville's classic Rockets battle in the morning. So yesterday I
got stuck in one of those pay it forward chains
at the Starbucks drive through, you know where everyone keeps
paying for the person behind them, and it's supposed to
be this big wholesome moment right now, I just got

(06:39):
like coffee, So it was like what three four bucks?
Give or take whatever, no problem, right. So when I
pull off the bariss all smiles and was like, Hey,
the person in front of you paid for your drink.
I'm thinking, all right, cool Karmel points for me today. Besides,
my drink was like a couple of bucks. Right. Then
she leans in and goes, do you want to pay

(06:59):
for the car behind me? And I'm like, you know what,
I'm feeling generous? Why not? And then she drops the bomb.
Their total was over forty two dollars. Uh. I froze
for a second. I was like, forty two dollars at Starbucks? Like,
what the hell did they order? So I don't know,

(07:20):
do they like pie around for the whole office or whatever?
So I just smiled at the girl and I was like, yeah, nah,
I think the paying forward chain stops with me. And
let me tell you, you would have thought that I
had just kicked a puppy or something, because the look
on her face was just like, how dare you? You're

(07:42):
not paying it forward? Look, I'm not paying forty some
odd dollars for Starbucks behind me, Like if it was fifteen,
twenty dollars, yeah, forty dollars. Hell no. So I drove
off drinking my you know, couple bucks of coffee that
I got, And I want to know, was it a
jerk move that I decided to break the pay it

(08:04):
forward chain because the person behind me had a forty
dollars order. What are your thoughts on this? Let's talk
about it on the show. Six one five seven, three seven,
one oh five nine is the number against six one
five seven, three seven one oh five nine is the number.
We'll take your phone calls next.

Yeah twe oh five nine of the Righte National's classic
rockets battle in the morning. So yesterday I got stuck
in a pay it forward chain at the drive to Starbucks.
I ended the chain with me because the car behind
me had over a forty dollars order, and I was like, nah,
I'm not paying it is it a like a jerk
move that I decided not to pay for the car
behind me and in the pay it forward chain with me.

(09:51):
Six one five seven three seven one oh five nine
is the number. If you want to jump in on
the show, let's go to the phones and see what
people think. It's one o five nine in the rock. Hi,
who's this?

Speaker 9 (10:00):
This is Bob from the borough.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Bob from the borough. What's up? Brother? Hey man?

Speaker 4 (10:05):
What you did breaking that chain?

Speaker 7 (10:06):
One hundred percent?

Speaker 3 (10:07):
Right?

Speaker 1 (10:08):
Absolutely?

Speaker 5 (10:08):
I mean come on, you know, like you said.

Speaker 7 (10:10):
Two bucks is one thing, but forty dollars Nah.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Kudos to you, thumbs up.

Speaker 7 (10:16):
You did right. You got my.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Vote well, And I felt a little bad because I'm
always the good guy, right, and several people in front
of me were paying it forward because that's what they
were telling me. But then it was like forty bucks.
I was like, bro, it feels like twenty maybe twenty five.
I would have been okay with it but forty dollars?
Sorry you started paying forward chain another day?

Speaker 7 (10:38):
Absolutely? I mean, you know, being a good guy has
to end somewhere. What you did fine and shame shame
shame on that little girl for giving you a dirty look.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
And yet I still tip the girl even though she
gave me a dirty look for my coffee. So here
you go your routine.

Speaker 7 (10:53):
You're still a good guy.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
I have a great daybody you too, Bob, have it
going man. Six one five seven three seven one is
the number if you want to jump in on the show.
Was it a jerk move that I ended the pay
it Forward chain because the car behind me had an
order of over forty dollars at Starbucks? We'll take more
of your phone calls next, and of course you can
also leave us messages on the iHeartRadio app using the

(11:16):
talkback mic. Six one five seven three seven one oh
five nine is the number if you want to jump
in on the show, or if you're on the iHeartRadio app,
you can hit that red microphone, but we call the
talkback mike. Was it a jerk move that I broke
the pay it Forward chain yesterday because the car behind
me had an order of over forty dollars at the
Starbucks drive through. It's one oh five dollars the right

(11:37):
Naturall's Classic Rockets Battle in the morning. Let's check some
of the messages that we're getting over here on the talkback. Mike,
this is Chan. We's Kentucky. Now, it was not a
jerk move.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
You shouldn't have paid forty dollars for somebody else's order.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
I guess you could have paid whatever was paid for.

Speaker 8 (11:53):
Yours and knocked it down that much, but no, not
forty dollars.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
Have a good day.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
You know.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
I didn't think about that. I didn't think the fact
that I could have been like, hey, you know what,
just take six bucks or whatever it was off of
behind me and there's my pay it forward and then
you know, now they just oh, like, you know a
little over thirty dollars. I might have to remember that
next I'd be like, hey, you know what, I'll pay
for mine. You just use whatever they were gonna pay
for the car behind me. That way, it's not a

(12:22):
total jerk move. Six one five, seven, three seven, one
oh five nine is the number if you want to
jump in on the show this morning, or if you're
on the iHeart Radio. I just hit that little red
microphone button we called the talk bag mic. So I
stocked in one of those paid forward chains. Yesterday car
behind me had a forty dollars order and I ended
the payid forward chain with me. Was that a jerk move?
Or what six one five seven three seven one oh

(12:44):
five nine is the number? Or if you're on the
iHeart Radio app, you can hit that red microphone button.

It's Forrest calling from Nashville, Forest and Nashville.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
It's up, brother.

Speaker 7 (12:57):
Well, it's kind of a cheapskate, I think. I mean,
you wouldn't pay for your buddy's steak dinner. Now you
won't pay it forward on the Starbucks bill. Come on, Battle,
we know you got all that freaking uh you know
radio money.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Let me tell you I do not have radio money.
There's a reason why I have eight million jobs outside
of this radio thing.

Speaker 7 (13:15):
I'm just saying, you know what. To be honest with you,
I don't blame you. I wouldn't have done it either.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
I mean, look like I said, if it was like
twenty twenty five bucks maybe, but over forty dollars at Starbucks,
I'll pass on that. I'm sorry, I'll break the chaine
and be a jerking for this time.

Speaker 7 (13:31):
I don't blame you. I would have done the same thing.
I would have been like, thanks, see it.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
Later, by exactly and by the way, I did tip
the Starbucks Barisa that handed me my coffee, even though
there was nothing to do other than pulling the lever
and filling the cup up.

Speaker 7 (13:44):
So yeah, White, yeah, White, tip him. I'm like, come on, really,
yeah there, Why don't go Starbucks?
