What happens when you step beyond your comfort zone and embrace the calling you never thought was meant for you? Pastor Tina Lee knows this journey intimately. Once a self-described "background person" who shied away from the spotlight, she now leads New Harvest Christian Center in Battle Creek, Michigan with purpose and conviction.

The Altar Experience, hosted by Pastor Moena Tucker and Jamie Tucker, created a sacred space where women found breakthrough and healing through shared stories. As Pastor Tina reveals in this powerful conversation with host Brie Charles, purpose often doesn't arrive fully formed—it emerges through baby steps and the courageous decision to believe you're chosen despite your broken pieces.

"Sometimes we feel alone...but my purpose was not yet revealed," Pastor Tina shares, offering hope to listeners feeling lost or directionless. Her most profound insight challenges our understanding of being chosen: contrary to feeling special or privileged, those with the most powerful purposes often emerge from places of deep brokenness. "You are the one that's chosen because you have a testimony to help someone else," she explains, reframing past trauma as preparation for helping others.

The conversation culminates with Pastor Tina's mission for the coming year—"taking back your power"—which perfectly complements Brie's vision to help listeners "burn through the path, break the cycle and become unstoppable." Tune in for an authentic dialogue that will inspire you to see purpose in your pain and recognize that your story, especially the difficult chapters, might be exactly what someone else needs to hear.

entertainment that we will beshowing all month long.

break the cycle and becomeunstoppable.
This is what it's all about.
Check it out.
So hello, we're here withPastor Tina Lee, hello, hello.

(01:07):
Okay, pastor Lee, tell us alittle bit about yourself.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
My name is Pastor Tina Lee.
We have a ministry New HarvestChristian Center in Battle Creek
, michigan.
We also have a preschoolprogram, harvest Learning Center
.
That's the name of it andthat's inside of our church.
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Cassidy, what started you on your journey?

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Oh, my goodness, I would have to say my husband.
The Lord spoke to my husbandand told him to start a ministry
in Battle Creek, michigan.
And so I you know it was a hard.
Yes, because I was more of abackground person and I didn't
really like doing up frontministry.
I did something outside workand things like that.

(01:54):
But to start a ministry, I knewthat I was going to have to
come to the fourth of that andso I dealt with a lot of fear.
You know feeling like I wasn'tmaybe good enough to be in that
role.
You know, sometimes we compareourselves with other people and
what they should look like orwhat it should look like, and so

(02:16):
I had to overcome that fear and, you know, be thankful how God
did me.
We okay with it.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Right, I'm sure you've seen a lot of people that
go through different traumasand trials and tribulations.
What is the biggest messagethat you can give to those out
there who are lost, who can'tfind their purpose, don't know
what their purpose is, who'ssuffering?
I know you gave us some tidbitswhen you spoke today, but if
you could just give my audiencejust a a little encouragement

(02:47):
yeah, I believe, knowing thatGod has his hand upon you.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
And sometimes it doesn't feel like this.
Sometimes we feel like you'reall alone, or or maybe you're
not good or not.
But I remember I will alwayssay that, like now, I don't even
know why I'm here, you know.
It just feels like I have nopurpose, no plan.
But my purpose was not yetrevealed, and so I had to first

(03:13):
believe that God had his feelingupon me and that God called me.
It wasn't always clear thatyou're going to be doing this,
that, that, and that I had tostart with the small things, and
for me it was finding whateverthat I could do.
You know, that would bring thatpurpose up, because God has an

(03:34):
ultimate plan for you.
But sometimes you have to gowith the baby steps, and I was a
baby step person.
I had to just do one littlething that led to something else
, that led to something else.
But the biggest thing was I hadto believe that God didn't
leave me and that I wasn'tcreated for nothing, that he had

(03:54):
a purpose on the inside of meand that I was chosen.
And I really believe that wehave a lot of chosen people here
.
But sometimes it's hard tobelieve because we don't feel
chosen.
Chosen is supposed to feel like, oh wonderful, you got this,
you got that Right.
But some of the you know somepeople deal with brokenness so

(04:19):
bad that they think how could Ibe chosen With all the things
that have happened to me, withall the things that I've gone
through, lord?
How could I have a perfect andhow could I be chosen With all
the things that have happened tome, with all the things that
I've gone through, lord?
How could I have a purpose andhow could I be chosen?
But you are the one that'schosen because you have a
testimony to help someone else, and so that's what I've always
found Purpose for me is beingable to help someone else with

(04:42):
my testimony, you know.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Yes, ma'am, so the Altair experience.
I know you were a part of thepanelists, but there were others
.
What did you get out of theAltair experience for yourself?

Speaker 2 (04:55):
For myself.
Oh yes, you saw me on the floor, right?
I tell you, I just got aconfirming word.
God had spoke some things to meand they were revealed to
re-insure that, okay, I'm on theright path.
And just knowing that God iswith me and he's not done, he's

(05:16):
not done, I'm going to takethose broken pieces and it's
going to launch me into where Ineed to be.
And so the altar experience andProphetess Mona, I mean it was
just blessed.
It was blessed, I believe, thatI saw women getting
breakthrough at the breakthrough, and that's what it's all about

(05:38):
.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
I was one of them.
Even with your message, thebroken pieces, I loved it about
Noah, about Paul, about Paulyeah, okay, he's a shipwreck.
It was amazing.
So, pastor, I thank you forjust taking the time out sitting
down with me talking to myviewers on how we can be

(06:01):
successful and how you can makeit through.
And now, hopefully, I told MoenI better not miss that.
Now another one yeah, she'sgoing to have more.
Yeah, this was truly aninstance.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
It's important to come together, you know, because
sometimes I can look at you andthink, hey, you got it going on
, you got this, that and that.
But when you come together andyou can share your testimony,
share your story Everybody has astory, we all have a story and
you know, when we come togetherand we just share that story,

(06:35):
you know it gives hope.
Yes, you know it inspiressomebody else.
That's right and it feels good.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
It feels good to help someone else, and it's all
about taking back power.
That's what I speak about.
I'm also a transformationalspeaker and my message for the
next year is about taking backyour power, your power, taking
back your power.
Love that.
So you all have still so muchin me that it leads me on that

(07:03):
path to taking back my power.
So much in me that it leads meon that path to taking back my
power, and my goal is to getthat message out there to others
who can also use that knowledgeon how to take their power back
.
So I thank you so so much forcoming on.
Thank you for having me, pastorTina Lee, y'all.
