Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up everybody. It's Caylin from Kiss FM. I'm here
with Miss Brandy Cyrus.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
How you doing. I'm so good? How are you? I'm good.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
So we were just talking about we're not melting as
much as yesterday.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Right, Yes, yesterday was a sauna.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
It was nuts. Yeah, and I feel like it's it
was more human, Like the air was very thick.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
I know, well it rained all morning and then it
just like sat here.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Yeah. So you are you DJ'ed yesterday?

Speaker 3 (00:22):
I did?

Speaker 2 (00:22):
You're DJing tonight?

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Am?

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Are we doing different sets? Are we doing different vibes?

Speaker 3 (00:27):
We're gonna mix it up a little bit.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
Yesterday I played Perry Stage, which which is icond of
so iconic.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Yeah, I was a nervous wreck. Actually, were really so nervous.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
Just I mean, there's just so many amazing people that
play that stage. Is like a lot of pressure, and
there's something about seeing people in the daytime that like
gives me nerves. You know, at night, like everyone you
can't see faces.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
It's just different.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
I feel that's so hard.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Like I'm on a morning radio show and I everyone's like, oh,
you're a good public speaker for like funerals or weddings
or like can you But I'm like no, if I
can see the faces of people, it's dating, and like
if you can see if your joke lands are not,
don't like it, and that the song lands are not okay.
So you obviously come from a musical family too, Why
electronic music? Were you always drawn to that or were

(01:08):
you always the playlist maker and your friend group?

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Yeah, it's funny.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
I mean I grew up listening to so many different
styles of music it's crazy, and I feel like that's
reflected in my sets. Like even yesterday, I feel like
I was able to play you know, a bunch of
different genres. But you know, my dad had us listening
to all this like old school country, and then my
mom was an eighties rock girl. And then yeah, as
I got older, I started listening to more like Top
forty and stuff, and I think people forget that in

(01:32):
like the early two thousands, most of Top forty was
dance music.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Like I grew up on dance music.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Truly, and it's you know, and that was what was
on the radio, which is so cool. So now as
an adult, I think I've found a way to really
blend it all together. I live in Nashville, and I
do love country music, so I do. I have been
dabbling with like country DM and remixing country music that
I like, and that's been really fun and really well.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Received by people.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
It's not like so I've always been a country fan.
I've always liked everything. But in my area was like
cool to like country, sure, but I was like, I
like it, like my dad, like Tupac, my mom like
you know, Lilith Ferart, like I liked everything.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
But how it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
To see now that it's in techno music, it's in edim,
it's in I mean, shaboozy, it's you know, it's it's
it's wild.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
To see, is it now? It is crazy?

Speaker 4 (02:18):
I mean Laney Wilson said her best country is Cool Again,
and it's it's weird, you know, it's crazy.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Yeah, she's the best.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
She's amazing.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Okay, So you brought up your dad and your mom,
and I just need to ask you. Growing up, was
there like someone that would be in your living room
and you thought, oh, that's uncle so and so or
aunt so and so, But later you learned, oh, that
person's like famous.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
I mean, maybe Dolly, I guess maybe it was maybe Doll.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
I guess Dolly.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
She's truly Miley's godmother.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
That was like on Hannah Montana, but it's actually real
life as well. So yeah, I think Dolly always felt
like family to us, right, and.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
You didn't know you're You're like, oh, she's super star cool.
Is she Shaboozie's godmother as well?

Speaker 4 (02:59):
I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me. Dolly's very
like everyone's family. She's so welcoming and he's just so
loving and just.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Starting soup dog. I don't know why. I just feel
like everyone loves them so much.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
So true, they look a good pair for like they
need to do something together. They Dolly and Snoop.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
They do need to do something together. So okay.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
So musically, what is your favorite because I know you
played Electric Forest, which I'm from Michigan, so yeah, it
used to be Rothberry.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
I have very much gone to that.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
I've done my Little Coachella, I've done my Lala. What
is your favorite festival to go to and then also
to DJ at so far.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Yeah, I think my favorite festival to go to is
Electric Forest. I went for the first time last year
when I played, and it's just there's a different energy there.
It's almost unexplainable and you just have to go to
experience it. But there's just decorations in the fly. The
ambiance is incredible and the vibes are amazing, but the
people like there's just this vibe of love and like

(03:58):
I don't know, like just good energy that's just all
over that place. So it's it's magical, truly, it really is.
I do love playing Electric Forest, but Lala Is honestly.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
It's up there too. It's a top to it's a
top like top two for there is.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Really I can't like he is like I've seen so
many little baby DJs you know, do their personing there.
And then I mean I've talked to Cascade, who's from
here and he started here and his ex girlfriends were
in the crowd.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Yeah, it was crazy.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
I think people just really come come to party here,
like they come to have fun. And I played Lollapaloosa
in Argentina few years ago and that was like one
of my honestly maybe my favorite show I've ever played,
and that was Perry Stage as well. So like, definitely
Lollapalooza has has the magic thing.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
It's it's it's up there for sure, even though the
weather's like wild, a little terrible, but we'll take it.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
It's worth it. It is worth it, Okay. So I'm
gonna watch you in a little bit. Yeah, do your thing.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
What else is there anything to look forward to? Or
what are you working on or what do you have
coming up?

Speaker 3 (04:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (04:55):
So I have a residency at the Winn in Las Vegas,
the Smaer, which she has.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Been, you know, a total dream come true. The wind
is amazing.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
So if you got if you anybody's in Vegas, please
come see me out access and encore.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
My best ones.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
You were there and we've done so many girls trips
to Vegas and come now we're gonna come.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Yes, when are you there through the end of the year.
Pull season ends.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
At the end of September, so I've got a few
more pool shows and then it'll be into the nightclub.
So obviously that is so exciting and ongoing. And then
I also have a remix that is coming out next weekend.
It's a Lady Wilson remix of Wildflowers and Wild Horses.
So I'm so excited to put that out. I've been
playing it out a lot and everyone's like when can
I have this? One?

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Can I have this?

Speaker 3 (05:36):
So it's finally coming out and all be able to
hear that.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Okay, but I do have to tell you really quick.
Miley played one of our iHeart festivals. Yeah, she was
the sweetest.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
But I caught a moment on camera she got off
stage after crushing it and then your mom was walking
with her arm runner and she just said, was that okay?
Like she like she's you know what I mean, She's
this big deal and your and your mom it was
the sweetest.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
They just were both so.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Genuine sweet and she and I was like, it was
so good, baby, and I love that. And now meeting you,
I just you guys are also sweet and so much
