Thank you Valerie Monroe, Carl Selfe, Rod Hemsell, Caro Henry, Sharon Hom, and many others for tuning into my Substack Live tonight with Marc Elias! While Marc and I were chatting before we got started, he was worried no one would show up. Then, 7,000 of you joined us live tonight!
If you missed out, you can watch the video by clicking on the arrow up above to listen to Marc’s excellent explanation of the ongoing litigation over the contested seat on the North Carolina Supreme Court. Incredibly, five months after the election, it’s still not clear who will be certified as the winner in that race. But it’s clear that the Republican challenger, who received 734 fewer votes when the ballots were counted, is willing to toss out the ballots of voters who complied with all of the rules at the time of the election in order to win. As Marc explains, there are no allegations of voter fraud. It’s an effort to create new ways to suppress the vote. Listen in to learn more.
Who would you like our next Substack Live guest to be? Leave me a note in the comments.
We’re in this together,
Joyce
