Episode 2:

The First Step Changes Everything

What if the only thing standing between you and your next level… is your first step?

In this episode Lynada Marshae continues the conversation from Episode 1, challenging you to move beyond hesitation and step into action.

So many of us spend time thinking, planning, and waiting for the “right” moment but the truth is, your life doesn’t change when you decide… it changes when you move.

Through powerful biblical examples and real-life reflection, this episode will help you understand why God doesn’t always reveal the full plan and how faith requires movement even when you don’t have all the answers.

If you’ve been waiting for clarity, confidence, or perfect timing, this episode will push you to trust God in the process and take that next step.

Because the first step… changes everything.

WHAT YOU’LL TAKE AWAY

• Why waiting for clarity can keep you stuck

• How fear shows up when you’re about to grow

• The truth about confidence (and how it’s actually built)

• Why God reveals the plan step by step

• How small acts of obedience lead to big breakthroughs

faith.
It's about helping you buildyour confidence and really
stepping boldly into the lifeand the purpose that God has
given you.
Okay.
This is the podcast where faithmeets confidence and fear has

(00:46):
absolutely no place on ourjourney to purpose.
So thank you, thank you, thankyou for listening on today.
Look, before we go any further,I have to pause and say thank
you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
To everyone who listened toepisode one, if you shared it,

(01:07):
if you sent me a message, if youreposted it, the response was so
overwhelming.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
And overwhelming in a good way.
So many of you reached out andsaid that the episode spoke
directly to you, or that you'vebeen sitting on something for
years and the message reallypushed you.

(01:30):
And that right there is why I'mdoing this.
The testimonials are amazing.
It just like I really have nowords.
Thank you.
Like I can't say thank youenough.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
And lastly, I know episode twotook a little longer than

(01:52):
expected.
Your girl had some technicalissues, and I had to figure some
things out on the back end.
But we are back.
We are locked in and we arecontinuing.

SPEAKER_00 (02:11):
For every woman ready to say to believe in
herself, let it go fear down andpurpose for the life galaxy.

SPEAKER_02 (03:10):
And today's episode is entitled The First Step
Changes Everything.
Yep, you heard it right.
The first step changeseverything.
And I want you to really hearthat because this is where so
many people get stuck.
This is where I got stuck.
I didn't get stuck in dreamingabout it.

(03:33):
I didn't get stuck in thinkingabout it.
I even didn't get stuck indeciding.
I got stuck in starting.
Because it's one thing torecognize what you've been
waiting on, but it's a wholenother thing to actually move on
that thing.
And that's what we're talkingabout today.

(03:55):
That's what we're talking abouttoday.
So, you know, let me tell yousomething.
Your life does not change whenyou decide.
Your life changes when you move.
And you can decide all day longthat, oh, I'm gonna start
tomorrow.
I'm gonna do better.
I'm gonna step into what theLord has called me to do.

(04:18):
But until you move, nothing isgoing to change.
Absolutely nothing.
Psalms 119, 105 says, Your wordis a lamp unto my feet and a
light unto my path.
This verse does not say aspotlight, it says a lamp.
And a lamp only shows you what'sright in front of you.

(04:42):
A lamp doesn't show you theentire road.
It only shows you that spacethat's right in front of you.
And somehow, sometimes that'show God operates in our lives.
He gives us the next step andnot the full plan.
He gives us that next move tomake and not the full blueprint.

(05:05):
Some of you are waiting onclarity, but God is waiting on
movement.
Let's talk about Abraham for amoment.
In Genesis 12, God speaks toAbraham and he tells Abraham, he
says, Go from your country, yourpeople, and your father's house
land to the land I will showyou.

(05:26):
Now think about that for asecond.
God told him to leave everythingfamiliar, everything
comfortable, everything that heknew, but he did not tell him
where he was going.
He didn't give him a map.
He didn't give Abraham atimeline.
He didn't explain how everythingwas going to work out.

(05:48):
He simply said, Go to the land Iwill show you.
Meaning, I'm not going to showyou everything up front.
I'm going to reveal it as youmove.
As you're obedient, I'm going togive, I'm going to reveal things
to you.
And some of you are saying, God,show me everything and then I'll

(06:11):
go.
And God is saying, Go and thenI'll show you.
Go and I'll lead the way.
And that's where faith comes in.
That's where faith comes in.
Faith is not having all of theanswers.

SPEAKER_01 (06:28):
Faith is moving without having all of the
answers.
And the first step will feeluncomfortable.
It will.

SPEAKER_02 (06:41):
The first step will feel uncomfortable.
Because the moment you decide tomove, that's when fear shows up.
That's when fear shows up.
And the Bible tells us in 2Timothy 1 and 7, God has not
given us the spirit of fear, butof power, love, and a sound

(07:01):
mind.
Now let's break that down.
God gave you power.
That means you already have thestrength you need.
You're not weak.
You're not incapable.
God gave you love.
That means you don't have tolive bound by people's opinion.
God gave you a sound mind.

(07:24):
That means clarity.
That means discipline.
That means you are notcontrolled by fear.

SPEAKER_01 (07:32):
So if fear is speaking, that's not God.

SPEAKER_02 (07:36):
That's not God.
And sometimes fear gets loudwhen you get serious.
When you get serious about athing, fear gets even louder.
The moment you go from I'mthinking about doing it to I'm
actually about to do it.
Fear shows up.

(07:58):
Fear shows up.
What does fear sound like,Lenata?
What if I fall?
What if I fail?
What if people what will peoplethink?
What if nobody supports me?
But hear me clearly.
Fear is not always a warning.

SPEAKER_01 (08:17):
Sometimes fear is confrontation, confirmation.

SPEAKER_02 (08:24):
Sometimes fear is confirmation because you're
stepping into something thatmatters, something that has
purpose, something that requiresgrowth.
Fear doesn't mean stop.

SPEAKER_01 (08:39):
Fear actually means you're getting close.

SPEAKER_02 (08:42):
Yeah, you're getting close.
And let me be honest, thispodcast, I sat on it for months.
The Lord gave me the idea, Hegave me the vision, He began
giving me messages, but I keptsaying, I'm not ready.
And then once I started moving,I still began to say, This

(09:09):
isn't, it doesn't sound right.
It's not perfect, it has to beperfect.
And at one point the Lordchecked me.
He told me, How long are yougoing to sit on what I gave you?
And when I finally releasedepisode one, there was a shift.

(09:30):
I felt it.
There was a shift.
And not because it was perfect, because it definitely wasn't,
but because I moved.
I moved.
Let's talk about Peter for asecond.
In Matthew 14, the disciples areon the boat during a storm.
You know the story.
Jesus comes walking on thewater, and Peter says, Lord, if

(09:51):
it's really you, tell me tocome.
And Jesus said, Come.
And now Peter had a decision tomake.
Peter had to decide to eitherstay in the boat or step out.
For Peter, the boat was safe.
And that's how it is for ussometimes.

(10:13):
Where we are, it's safe.
Where we are, it's familiar.
Where we are, it's comfortable.
But when Peter stepped outsidethe boat, that's when everything
supernatural happened.
Everything supernatural happenedoutside the boat.
And the moment Peter steppedout, he walked on water.

(10:37):
The miracle didn't happen in theboat.

SPEAKER_01 (10:40):
The miracle happened in the step.
The miracle happened in the stepfor Peter.

SPEAKER_02 (10:50):
Confidence sometimes comes after you make that move.
Confidence is not something thatyou wait for.
You have to build yourconfidence.
Confidence is something that youbuild.
Every single time you decide toshow up, you're building
confidence.
Every single time you decide totry, you're building confidence.

(11:13):
Every single time you push pastfear, you're building
confidence.

SPEAKER_01 (11:20):
And over time, your confidence is building.

SPEAKER_02 (11:24):
You're building your confidence.
So many times we feed ourselveslies saying that we're behind,
that we're late, we're notqualified.
But at the end of the day, it'syou.
You have a decision to make.
Will you keep sitting or willyou take that step?

(11:45):
Will you keep sitting or willyou make that next move?
Because if I'm real with you, your next level is waiting on
your movement.
Your next level is waiting onyour movement.
So listen, this I'm gonna leaveyou with this.

(12:07):
I want you to always rememberyou don't need the whole plan.
You just need the courage totake the first step.
You just need the courage tomake the first move.
Because the first step changeseverything.
Let's pray.
Father God, in the name ofJesus, I thank you for every

(12:30):
person listening to thispodcast.
Father, you know what you'veplaced on the inside of them and
you know the dreams, you knowyou've given them the ideas,
you've given them the calling, and you have also know what
they're afraid of, you know thefear that keeps them bound.

(12:50):
But today, Father, I pray forboldness.
Father, give them the courage totake the first step, even when
they don't feel like it, even ifthey don't have all of the
things figured out, even if thesituations aren't perfect,
Father.
Father, remind them that you arewith them, that you are guiding

(13:11):
them, that you're leading them,Father, that they don't need the
whole plan, they don't need thefull blueprint.
All they need is to make thefirst step, make the first move.
Father, in the name of Jesus, webreak fear off of your people,
Father.
We break hesitation, oh God.
We bind up the spirit ofoverthinking and Father, and we

(13:34):
replace it with your love.
We replace it with your faith.
We replace it with action.
And so, Father, we thank you inadvance for what you're gonna
do, for what you're gonna makehappen, Father.
I thank you, Lord God, that aspeople are listening to this
podcast, that Father, somethingis stirred up on the inside of
them that's causing them tomove, that's causing them to

(13:57):
shift, oh God, into place, that's causing them to shift
into their assignment.
So, Father, again, I thank youin advance for what's gonna take
place.
I thank you for the testimoniesthat's gonna be shared.
We love you, Lord God.
In Jesus' name, amen.
