Can breathwork really help you heal trauma, regulate your nervous system, and reconnect to your identity?

In this raw, powerful episode of Embody This – The No B.S. Healing Podcast, Lauren sits down with Vaughn Pierro—divine feminine channel and creator of the Holy Breath Method—to explore how breathwork opens the door to deep healing, emotional release, and soul-level transformation.

From leaky gut and burnout to spiritual awakenings and identity shifts, Vaughn shares her story of turning symptoms into sacred initiation. Together, they dive into how trauma lives in the body—and how breathwork helps you finally release what talk therapy and supplements can't touch.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Where trauma hides in the body (hips, fascia, glutes, shoulder blades)
  • Why chronic symptoms are spiritual initiations
  • How breathwork creates emotional release and nervous system regulation
  • The difference between outsourcing your healing vs. embodying it

Welcome to Embody this, the NOBS Healing podcast for women who
are done playing small I'm yourhost Lauren Michelle Jewel, a
sober, single, gut healing, bullshit slang, mind body
practitioner who's been throughthe ringer and rebuilt herself
from the inside out.
But this show isn't just aboutmy journey, it's about ours,
because healing isn't a fivestep TikTok routine.

(00:21):
It's not cute, it's not curated,it's messy, embodied, and I'm
here to talk about the parts.
No one else wants to say outloud.
So if you've tried the therapy, the diets, the green powders,
the mindset hacks, but stillfeel like you're spiraling,
disconnected, or stuck insurvival mode, welcome.
You're in the right place.
Today's episode is special onebecause I'm bringing on someone

(00:43):
who has held me in the depths.
Vaughn Piero is a divinefeminine channel, breathwork
teacher, intuitive healer, andthe founder of Holy Breath
Method.
She's one of those people whojust feels like medicine, a warm
cup of tea, a cozy blanket, butdon't get it twisted.
She's also a powerhouse.
Yvonne's story is one of thosethat sticks to your soul.

(01:05):
She's lived the pain, felt thenumbness, walked through
illness, identity loss, and gutwrenching transformation, and
now she guides women back totheir bodies, breath and truth
with the kind of intuitivehealing that words cannot
explain, but your nervous systemremembers.
What you'll hear in this episodeis how Vaughn's gut breakdown

(01:26):
was actually a spiritualawakening.
Why most healing journeys startwith a whisper and get louder
when you ignore it.
How trauma gets stored in thefascia, hips, glutes, and
shoulder blades, how to releaseit and why breath work can take
you deeper than years of talkingor supplements ever could, and
how you can stop outsourcingyour healing and finally, trust

(01:46):
yourself again.
This episode is for the womanwho feels a nudge.
Who knows that there's morewho's scared of what might
surface, but even more scared ofstaying stuck.
And one more thing before wedive in this podcast is for
educational and empowerment, nota replacement for medical
advice.
You are your best authority.

(02:06):
Always consult a professionalwhen making health decisions.
Alright, let's get into it.

Lauren (02:12):
I'm so excited to have Vaughn onto my podcast Vonne is
like a warm cup of tea and acozy blanket, so I want you to
get the vibe of this womanbecause she is a true embodied
healer, but she's just so funand magical and.
She has so much wisdom to sharetoo.
So you have two wise women hereabout to share some magic.

(02:35):
so Vonne, if you want to sayhello as the beautiful human
that you are, then we can diveinto the episode.

Vaughn Pierro (02:43):
Oh, thank you so much for having me.
I am just hearing your words.
My gosh.
You are such a wordsmith.
I mean, you just.
Ooze wisdom, even in aintroduction of talking about
someone that you love, like it'samazing.
I am so honored to be here withyou and grateful for the

(03:05):
connection and the experiencesthat we have had together, and
that you allow me to hold you,you show up so that I get the
opportunity to hold and love youand for us to have these
profound experiences together.
'cause that's what it takesfirst, right?
Like.
You had to show up.
I had to show up and here weare.

Lauren (03:25):
Seriously.
And that's one of the key thingshere is that we have to be
willing to allow it in.
What I wanted to do for thisfirst episode, since you were
one of the women who guided meand allowed me to see my voice
matters and I should share thismagic through a podcast, and you
guided me to really start thisabout a month or month ago,

(03:46):
really, I.
Who was Vaughn in the beginningof her healing journey, right?
Like the concept of Embody.
This is, you know, obviously ano BS Healing podcast, but it's
allowing us to see that it's notthe curated Instagram post, it's
not.

(04:06):
A TikTok five step process, it'snot something that you just buy
and then you're healed.
It's healing.
As I bring on these guests andhave you introduce this concept
to them, what was going on inyour life before breathwork came
in?
What brought you to the place ofbeing introduced to becoming

(04:27):
your own best healer?

Vaughn Pierro (04:28):
Yeah.
It's so.
Fun to reflect and think aboutthat version of myself that was
only literally like seven yearsago.
Literally, I had a spiritualawakening seven years ago and
before that I was a full-timepracticing massage therapist of
23 years.
I worked.

(04:49):
On people's muscles.
They came to me when they werehurting and I would help them.
I was really good at what I did.
And I just began to hear alittle whisper within saying,
there's something you'resupposed to be doing more.
As soon as I would hear that, Iwould squash it down.
'cause I'd be like, what elsecould, this is all I know, this
is who I am.
I was so attached to thatidentity as a wife, a mom, a

(05:13):
massage therapist.
That's just who I am and what Idid.
Then that little whisper startedyelling a little bit louder.
The more I would shove it downor try to ignore it, it got
louder and louder and itrevealed its voice through, gut
health.
I ended up getting leaky gut andit was at that moment that I
knew I didn't need to go to anormal GI doctor.

(05:35):
Everybody was like, just go tothe doctor.
I was like, no, I think this issupposed to be something else.
So I ended up finding a holisticpractitioner and she practiced
muscle testing on me and I hadnever had muscle testing before
I did.
You know, like that was my firstintroduction to energy I
couldn't believe what washappening.
Then my gut began to heal andthe more I kind of fell into

(06:00):
that, trusting of energy andmuscles my mind was being blown
away around that same timeframe.
I was listening to Oprah Radioand she said, what's your dream?
And I was like, what's my dream?
So I started thinking about mydream.
Like I was like, oh God, likeactually I don't have a dream,

(06:21):
you know?
And I was like, does that meanI'm living my dream?
I knew that was not true'causeeven though my life was good and
it was beautiful and I was.
Happy in quotation works.
I really still did not have thatfullness within my life.
You know, like I knew there wasmore,'cause I was seeing other
people living a bigger, morevibrant life.

(06:42):
And I was like, how do that?
so I started thinking aboutwhat's my dream?
And every dream that I had, Iwould hear myself squash it.
just as quick as it would comein, I'd be like, you can't have
that.
You can't do that.
Oh my God, what do you say?
There's no way.
That's for you two.
And I just heard myself talk andI was like, oh my gosh.

(07:05):
I think I'm talking very nastyto myself.
I think there's a problem here.
And then one thing led toanother and I went on a personal
growth journey.
I started listening to podcastsand.
Doing the inner work for mypersonal growth, and the way I
like to describe it is mypersonal growth journey turned
into a spiritual growth journey, turned into who I am now.

Lauren (07:26):
Absolutely.
one of the.
Interesting things is that whatI always tell my clients,
especially somebody with achronic health issue or a really
aggressive symptom that seems tobe kind of dampening their life
right is I always say it's aninitiation.
Our body is never trying to.
Harm us.
It's not working against us.

(07:48):
It is literally waving its flag, trying to get your attention.
It is a spiritual initiation, like nature is always working
for us.
when we're not listening tothose quiet whispers where it's
like, hmm, there's somethingmore here, right?
you know, you're happy, but areyou really happy?
Are you just content right now?
Are you just comfortable, likeyou were saying, leaky gut.

(08:09):
The metaphor that I say withthat, is we become porous with
our boundaries and ourselves.
So we leak, we allow energy toleak through us, and we push it
down, and then it creates leakygut and it shows up.
It's like as within.
It mirrors everything that weare against our subconscious,
essentially.
I find that so fascinating thatthat led you into your healing

(08:32):
journey, and I'm so happy tohear that you did podcasts,
because it was such a big partin my healing journey.

Vaughn Pierro (08:39):
People around me were not having the
conversations that I was seekingI was looking for deeper
conversations around personalgrowth, development mindset and
spirituality.
I was becoming so curious.
My friends that I was currentlysurrounding myself with, we were
not on any level in thoseconversations.

(08:59):
They were great friends, but wewere talking about our kids and
husbands and drinking doingwhat.
Some suburban moms do you know?
Absolutely.
Like we absolutely live in ourlittle life.

Lauren (09:10):
It's like a split that happens when you start the
healing journey that I don'tthink a lot of people talk
about.
It's where you feel like you arestill there, but you're also
kind of drifting away a littlebit.
So there's that loneliness thatcomes with that.
you start to crave to findcommunity.
And community is such a big partin that.
where did breathwork come intothis?
Since you're such a magicalbreathwork, fascia, maneuvering,

(09:33):
intuitive, magical woman.
When did the breathwork come in?

Vaughn Pierro (09:37):
Thank you.
It has been very evolved fromthe moment I first discovered
it.
I threw a podcast.
I've found this woman, and shesaid that she was hosting a
retreat in Sedona, and as soonas she like.
Set it my whole, but I was like,I have to go.
it was that full body.
Yes.
It was just so fun because inthat moment, I got the

(09:58):
information, it was expensive,it was time away.
My kids were still pretty young.
I had never invested in my ownpersonal growth before.
We would spend money, as afamily, but this was all about
me and it felt really like.
Extravagant and selfish, right?

(10:18):
But I knew it.
My soul was just saying, youhave to go on this retreat.
And so I did as uncomfortable asit was for me to make those
steps, have that conversationwith my husband, invest the
money show up.
I did it.
And it was at that retreat inSedona that this magical woman
named Ada.
Came in and led us through abreathwork experience.

(10:41):
Her name is Anna, an Ananda orsomething like that.
But her, she's, the style of herbreath work is called shaman
angelic breathwork.
So the shaman, it was shaman, angel and breathwork.
And she came in like somemystical tribal goddess.
And I was like.
I want to be like her.

(11:01):
I didn't know it at the time, but I was like, who is this
woman?
I'm obsessed.
And then she guided us throughthis breath work experience that
changed my life my whole bodylit up in vibration I just kept.
Hearing the words, my hands weremoving over my body, just moving
energy.
I just kept hearing, I am ahealer.

(11:21):
I heard Holy Spirit say, you area healer.
You are a healer.
You are a healer.
'cause I went there, you know, afull-time massage therapist.
And I'm going in with questionslike, I know there's more, but I
don't know what is next for me.
I wasn't called to certaintrainings, I wasn't called to
reiki.
I wasn't called to lifecoaching.

(11:41):
I really did not know what I wasbeing called to.
But in that moment of hearing, you are a healer.
I was like, okay.
Holy Spirit just confirmed intome that I am a healer and my
hands lit up and were vibrating.
Ever since that moment, I'vebeen able to move, feel, and
hear messages around energy.

(12:03):
That was incredible and I'm sograteful to her for that
experience.
It's so fun because I have somany people upon, she doesn't
know how much that experienceimpacted me.
Even though I'll message herevery now and again, I'll just
be like, that changed my life.
Thank you.
But it's so funny because now Ihave people tell me that session
with you cracked me wide open.

(12:24):
It changed my life.
And I'm like, I can't believethat now I get to be that person
for people.
It's just so amazing to guidepeople through.
The breath to themselves.
I mean,'cause it's not like I'mdoing it.
I mean, I'm creating the spaceand I'm the channel, for
creating that opportunity.
But ultimately it's your breath.

(12:45):
You know, like in that moment, Icould have not, done what she
was asking us to do and Iwould've missed the whole
experience.
But I was all in showing up formyself, surrendered.
And I had an incredibleexperience.
That's pretty much what I teachothers now.
I'm like, if you show up and dothe work and surrender into the

(13:06):
experience, you will have atransformational experience.
Whatever it needs to be like.
'cause this is just such deepsoul work.
Yeah, and so then like I cameback home to Atlanta and I was
like, okay, I'm a healer nowwhat?
I'm still a full-time massagetherapist.
I literally did not know what todo with myself.
So that's where integration and.

(13:28):
Having, I was gonna say, andhaving support really comes into
play, but honestly, I didn'thave support and I think that on
some level is what made mestronger.
You know?
Yeah.
Like I, I.
I had to figure it all out on myown, and I know that was part of
my mission and my medicine.

(13:48):
It wasn't about me gettingtrained and certified with
somebody else's modality.
I had to find my own.
I had to heal myself and I knowso clearly that that's what each
one of us have to do.
We need our teachers and we needour guides, but ultimately, you
are your own healer.
It's an invitation for you tosink deeper within,

Lauren (14:11):
The magic, the medicine is already there and it can
become such a shiny objectsyndrome thing where we think
that, we need the certification.
we need to go back to school.
we need to learn more.
And like, you know, I realizedthrough my own healing I was
trying to get an A plus plus inhealing, and it was actually not
healthy because I kept trying tolearn more and I was

(14:32):
intellectualizing it, which isexactly what led me to needing
to start healing right.
Yeah, I was in the mind so muchand I wasn't actually allowing
the full amount of medicine toreally flow through me.
And I was stagnating myself by,trying to look outside of myself
for the medicine when it waswithin the whole time.

(14:54):
Doing it alone, like you said, that's when you really hear the
call.
You know that, no matter howmany road bumps you hit or how
many times you feel like youwanna give up.
There's no question.
You're not giving up.
You just feel that pull.
So when was it that you realizedyou wanted to start sharing this
with others?

Vaughn Pierro (15:14):
So it was a year after I left that retreat.
That retreat was in October,2016.
And October, 2017.
this year will be seven yearsthat I my breathwork training
certification.
So within that year I came backto Atlanta and was looking for
other breathwork teachers, Iwould go to a couple classes

(15:35):
here and there, but none of themhad that, shaman, angelic.
Framework that I loved thatbrought in the shamanic
instruments and the drums andthe rattles and the music and
just like tribal, like that'swhat my soul was calling for,
was like tribal wildness All ofa sudden, one night I stayed up

(15:55):
late and I was like, I'msupposed to be the breathwork
teacher.
Like I, this is for me.
I'm supposed to be teachingthis.
And once I got the memo, I knowmy spirit guides were like,
hallelujah.
Thank you, Jesus.
She finally has heard us.
Yeah, it's like the Joe Roganmeme where they're like.
Clicked it was that that was me.
I just knew there was somethingthat was happening super quick

(16:17):
and so I stayed up onlinelooking for all the key words,
looking for that breath worktraining.
That was perfect.
And finally, at two o'clock inthe morning, I found it starting
in three weeks and I was like.
Oh my God.
It was a week long I was gonnabe away from my family.
It was a significant investment.
And my soul was like, you haveto do this.

(16:39):
Like there is no denying this.
So I pack up my bags, go to themountains of Asheville, North
Carolina, I had the mostincredible transformational week
of my life, where I learnedbreath work.
How to teach it and the power ofbreath and sound.
Simultaneously we werepracticing on ourselves, doing

(17:02):
the work ourselves, like Ialways say, if you're gonna
teach, you have to be thegreatest vessel of yourself that
is available to you at thattime.
You gotta show up clean andclear so that you can support
others.
You can't support others whenyou're carrying a bunch of your
own shit because it's, that'snot the, that's just not the
heart led leader and teacherthat we need.

(17:23):
I was very adamant about thatwhen I'm guiding teaching others
how to teach breath work.
So that's in that week I healeda huge past life experience
which was crazy because I wasjust a year into my spiritual
journey and didn't even know ifI believed in past lives.
I jumped into the deep end ofthis healing week and I was all

(17:44):
in, there were probably 12 of usat this experience, and I for
sure was all in.
I mean, I'm not messing around.
I was definitely the biggestfreakazoid out of everyone.
Because I was on such a missionit was through that experience
and deep healing for myself thatI came back from that week.

(18:06):
I started teaching right away.
But it is so amazing'cause Ididn't know how to teach.
I've never led a group ofanybody.
Like all I did was put my handson people's bodies and rub their
muscles, here I am all of asudden wanting to teach.
Classes and hold space forpeople as they're going through
these transformationalexperiences.
I did it.
I started slow.

(18:27):
I wouldn't care if one person or10 people came.
I hosted a lot of free classes.
I was out hustling.
I was calling yoga studios.
Just being like, Hey, I've gotthis healing modality.
It's called breath work.
seven years ago, it is notnearly as common as it is now.
and so I was hustling it, I wastalking Meanwhile, really
working on my own inner shit, like, I'm still learning who I

(18:50):
am Who my soul is and what mysoul wants and needs from me in
this lifetime, because I waslike, I don't know anything.

Lauren (18:58):
There's an identity mismatch for a little bit there,
right?
starting to lead, speak on thata little bit.
what did you have to let go ofWhat are some of the identity
evolutions you've gone through, through the process of starting
to lead yourself and thenrealizing leading yourself is
leading others?

Vaughn Pierro (19:15):
in the beginning, I had to cultivate self-trust
because I.
Didn't know myself to trustmyself as a healer, I would be
feeling things in my body, likeinner knowings of ways to
support people wisdom to shareor intuitive nudges that I was
feeling, that I know was amessage for that person.

(19:37):
to be able to trust myself tosay those things, that they were
actually going to be supportiveto that person and not.
Hurtful was very challenging itwas like walking fine line of
discovery, that's where spiritis so good.
you will not receive anythingyou're not ready for.
during that time, I wasexpanding my capacity to become

(19:58):
the person I am right now.
people, now what I do, they'relike, oh my God, are you so
tired?
after a session I'm like, no.
I'm so lit up because I havebeen preparing the past seven
years for this level ofchanneling and being, it is like
my body, my spirit, my energyliterally has been preparing me

(20:20):
for this level of.
Capacity and healing Little didI know, right?
I didn't know this version of meexisted, even two years ago.
But that's the beautiful thingabout a healing journey.
And it's not like it ends.
there was never a point where Iwas like, okay, I think I've
really gotten there.
I'm, I'm like, reallyaccomplished.

(20:40):
I'm done healing.
Thank, thank you.
Like, I'm, I'm, I am completeand I'm a badass.
There's no more

Lauren (20:44):
onion to peel.

Vaughn Pierro (20:46):
Yeah.
plot twist, it never ends.
And it only gets deeper anddeeper and deeper and deeper.
And the deeper you go within, the more you learn about
yourself, the more you learnabout spirituality, the more you
learn about like.
What I mean, I'm still soconfused, like what is, so many
times I'll just be like, what islife What is this life we are

(21:07):
living?
my favorite thing that I'veowned up to is, the only thing I
know is I known nothing at all.
And if we can just allowourselves to be very, very
comfortable with.
Knowing nothing at all and justkeeps surrendering into the
unknown.
That's where the magic is.
But you gotta let go.

(21:28):
A lot of shit to be able tosurrender into that.
And that's ultimately what I'vebeen doing is I've been letting
go, letting go, letting go.
All these versions of myself.
Like just when I was like, yes,I feel this inner peace.
I get it.
This is it.
Then it was like.
God took me.
He is like, okay, now you'reready for what's really about to

(21:51):
happen.
Like, you know,'cause it's likemy nervous system was like,
okay, I'm cool.
And then once I was good at thatrealm, then it's like now you
can handle it to go that muchdeeper and yet that much more
expansive into the inner gnosisof what spirituality really is.

Lauren (22:10):
And the capacity thing is so key, and that's really the
work that me and you do, Iintroduce breath work, but I
always push them towards you togo into those deeper realms
because until we actually, wecan learn all the things about
the nervous system, we can learnall the things about.
Healing.
read all the self-help books, listen to podcasts, but until

(22:30):
it's actually embodied, untilyou physically experience it and
understand how emotion movesthrough the body and how it's
meant to be held, and that's whyyou're able to hold such a large
capacity you're not holdingtheir pain, you're channeling
their pain through you.
you're allowing it to movethrough and you don't hold it,
which is why you don't gettired.
'cause your body's a clearvessel.

(22:51):
Yeah.
And so, like you said, it's likethe deeper you heal, the higher
you go and you start to realizethat.
Life is meant to flow.
when we have constriction, whether that's an old emotional
imprint or a memory about yourfather or a memory about a
childhood thing you're justholding onto, you push down.
That's where those constrictionscomes, and that's where we start

(23:11):
to create those identities toprotect that constriction, to
make sure nothing gets to touchit.
And then as we get older, westart to realize why am I
continuously hitting thisproblem?
Life is not going to let youjust forget that it's going to
be there for you to heal.
But there's only so muchcapacity that you have to handle
that.
the healing work through breathwork and allowing yourself to

(23:35):
not feel better, but to getbetter at feeling is where you
start to see so many changes andyou start to allow.
Receive the support of theuniverse and from the community
that you build, right?
Like I knew in the moment whenyou were working on me at the
retreat.

(23:56):
I wanted to start laughinghysterically because it was
resistance.
I could feel how big what washappening.
I didn't know what washappening.
I was completely in the unknownand I was being watched by
everybody there, If you everwanna listen to this story, go
to her podcast, the CosmicHealing Podcast.
We have it recorded.
I knew in that moment when Iwanted to laugh.

(24:18):
I wanted to be like, this is toomuch.
Instead, I just deeplysurrendered into it and let go,
and it's because I trustedmyself, but I trusted you.
And so it's like havingsomebody.
To guide you through thisprocess that you can trust and
who can see what you cannot seein yourself yet to hold that

(24:40):
capacity for you for a littlebit until you build it up is
such a game changer.
It really is, and I feel likethat's what you do for people,
you hold the mirror up and youhold the space and then you
allow them to see their ownlight through your light.

Vaughn Pierro (24:54):
Yeah.
was so beautifully shared.
it really comes back to that youwill not release or receive
anything that you're not readyfor.
And people get so frustratedbecause, and myself included,
'cause I remember early on, Ifelt this calling in my soul
that I was meant to be doing.
Deep work that I was here forimpact the frustration the body

(25:16):
feels when you hear the soulguidance, but your body is not
co or like you're not beingshown is not being revealed to
you.
Everything that is ready to berevealed to you because you are
not ready, right?
It's just so important tounderstand, and I lost a lot of
time being really frustratedfrustrated because I, had the

(25:40):
deep soul calling.
I could see this future formyself, like the future that I'm
living right here, right now.
You know, I could see that formyself five years ago, but it
took me five years to get tothis place right now.
And so like within that fiveyears of learning and
understanding and comprehending.
Like I, there's no way fiveyears ago me could be this

(26:03):
version of me right now.
I had to go through the stepsand stages the version of me
five years from now, I've noteven tried to comprehend what
that looks like, because I don'twanna like.
Like you don't want

Lauren (26:17):
the expectation to, because that's what creates that
frustration, right?
Yeah.
That expectation of what itshould have.
I

Vaughn Pierro (26:22):
definitely have, that's been one of my biggest
lessons in my healing journey totruly let go of the expectation
and to trust the soul guidanceand to trust that.
That little messaging of youwill not release or receive
anything you are not ready for.
I'm not gonna be shown the rightconnections.
I'm not gonna be shown the nextlevel of expansion until my body

(26:46):
and people around me are readyfor it.
So five years ago, the work I'mdoing now, I wasn't ready.
But also people around me werenot ready for that level of
work.
I needed.
People, the collective to be, weall had to get to this point
together so that we could dothis deeper level of work.
Because I'm here for a deeplevel of work.

(27:08):
I finally have allowed myself toaccept that I'm not here for
superficial.
I am here for the deep, deep, deep work.
If you want to go deep into yoursoul and heal timelines and past
lives and all the soulcontracts, all the things that
are collected within your soul, that's carrying in your body.

(27:28):
When you're ready for that, that's when you somehow some way
show up at my door, at one of myretreats, or in front of the
screen, in front of me, it'sonly when it is time for you to
release or receive that.

Lauren (27:42):
and that's the journey, right?
It's so beautiful.
And it's so true though.
And I think that's why you sawit in Me too, like when you
could see the frustration of mydesire to put my work out into
the world and it not beingreceived yet.
It's like ahead of its time typedeal and Right.
Because it was frustrating for

Vaughn Pierro (28:01):
me to

Lauren (28:02):
see you.

Vaughn Pierro (28:03):
are you frustrated?
Because I'm frustrated with youbecause the stuff that you put
out is so good.
It's so good, Lauren.
And you just speak, things evenat the retreat, Everybody was
like, I'm sorry, how old areyou?

Lauren (28:19):
wise one.

Vaughn Pierro (28:20):
Spoke so much.
Truth and wisdom when you wouldshare on social media, I'd be
like, why does this woman onlyhave like three likes this
should be going viral.
just so you know, I see it andit frustrates me,

Lauren (28:34):
the

Vaughn Pierro (28:34):
prepara,

Lauren (28:34):
truly feel like it's just been a preparation process.
And if any of the listeners areinto astrology I have Saturn
opposing and squaring a lot ofmy, main big signs.
So that's one of my lessons I ammade for success, but it is
through discipline and structureand obviously never giving up.
I had to really shift myrelationship with failure, what

(28:58):
failure meant, and shift it fromfailure to innovation, right?
Seeing that it has innovationthrough like trial and erroring.
So it's not the end until Iquit, and shift my relationship
with validation.
Like really like, and I had tovalidate my fucking self because
I fucking knew it.
Like I knew it.

(29:18):
I knew the quality that I wasputting out.
if I kept getting better, itwould've gone south because it
wasn't congruent with what.
I was being right.
And so that's what this wholeprocess of starting this podcast
is, is it's so funny becausewhen I wasn't on, on a aligned
path and I was doing it throughwhat I thought I should be
doing, through the first dream Iever, thought of, my fear and

(29:39):
resistance stalled me for threeyears, I had outgrown that
dream, but I was so stubbornbecause I was like, no, I put so
much work into this and itdidn't follow through like I
expected it to.
That was meant to happen in mylife and I was meant to go on
that retreat with you becausewhat it taught me was, this
entire message I needed to letgo of the attachment.

(30:02):
It's not the dream.
There's nothing wrong with thedream.
The dream can still happen, butthere was an entity of an
attachment aligned with theversion of me living off my
shadow and wounds, and it wasn'tevolved yet.
So I had to let that go and buryit like you said.
So that new fertilization andground could be breathed.
'cause I was suffocating myself.

(30:24):
And so what came of that wasthis podcast in like a month,
right?
And so it's that same concept.
And what you saw in me.
I see in you we were meant tomeet'cause it was the right
time.
We were meant to connect'causeit was the right time.
So you went through your processto see it in me and to allow me
to blossom and to hold me.

Vaughn Pierro (30:42):
Yeah.
It's just so fascinating whatyou were holding onto in the
suffocation.
That's exactly what happened.
Because we create dreams fromthat place.
you created your program fromthree years ago, when you were
just beginning to create aprogram and.
Follow through with your work,right?
Mm-hmm.
But you are so transformed sincethat.

(31:06):
And I've done that and I know somany listeners can also
appreciate like that journey ofyou create a dream, but then we
hold onto the dream and it's notaligned anymore.
and we really do have to grievethat version of us and that
dream that.
You know, there's a moreexpansive version of that dream

(31:27):
available, right?
Because our life is created tobe expansive and magical and
beautiful, but when we'reholding onto the old, we can't
receive the new.
letting go purging healing is soimperative, especially now at
this time of 2025.
We're being called into theunknown.

(31:49):
I mean, we don't know anything.
I mean, everything is like totaldisarray.
Everything we've ever known iscrumbling, which is a beautiful
thing.
It's so uncomfortable but it'sthe same thing, like what is
happening on a collective level?
It's also happening on apersonal level as we're just.
Undoing everything we've everbeen, and we're becoming this

(32:09):
version of ourself.
we're truly rising like thephoenix and we are when we rise
up.
I love the analogy of a truephoenix.
we burn to the ground, and whenwe rise back up, we are only
bringing with us the things thatbelong with us.
we're picking up those piecesand rising as that version of
ourselves with only those piecesof truth.

Lauren (32:31):
Exactly, and through that magnificent of you just
said.
That's where I feel like repwork comes in to really just
allow you to metabolize it.
There's so much going on andthrough the work of breath work,
and I hope people understand.
When I say breathwork, I wannalet you describe it because some

(32:51):
people might think breath work'slike alternative nostril
breathing or anything like that.
Well, you just describe what thelevel of breath work is that you
do how it.
Moves emotion through the bodyand allows you to process things
like we were just speaking of.

Vaughn Pierro (33:05):
Yes.
So, breath work is a connectedpattern of breath and there are
many types Over the years, I wastrained in the Sacred Breath
Method, which was a three-partinhale and exhale, where we lay
on a mat and just breathe.
we have, profound experiences.
It's amazing and powerful.

(33:26):
over the years, my.
Methodology has evolved as Ihave evolved.
when I first started teachingclasses, I was teaching how I
was taught.
lay down, wear your mask, I'llplay this music and you will
have this specific experience Mybody was just like wanting to
move so much more during theseexperiences, the more I trusted

(33:50):
myself to move through thebreath, the more, profound my
healings and my integration andmy embodiment became so.
Now the breadth that I teach,it's connected, but it's also
very intuitive.
it's very easy.
it's called breath work, whichmakes it sound like it's work

(34:11):
and it's hard.
And it can be because of thechallenging way I'm asking you
to breathe in a connected way.
But it's actually so easybecause this is your.
breath.
And when connected with yourbody, when you allow your breath
and body to become one with eachother, you create a holy, divine
portal of truth within that isso intuitive and just so

(34:36):
divinely guided.
when you're with me, within fiveminutes, we are.
Deep into a portal of whereveryour soul is meant to be.
because I am so deeply connectedto the divine feminine healing
frequency, I am very.
Connected to the divine mother,to goddesses that support that

(35:00):
next level of healing.
I work closely with goddess ISISand, whatever frequencies you
know, you are working with thatyou need, and then my knowledge
of the actual body, it's like wejust go.
It's just such a full bodyexperience.
It's profound and amazing, Ilove all types of breath work,

(35:24):
but bringing in the body and thebreath is really where it's at.
And I am so passionate aboutteaching other women
specifically how to surrenderinto the intuitive nudges that
are moving through their bodyvia the breath.

(35:44):
it really is an opportunity foryou to get out of your mind
because the way that your bodywants to move is tribal, wild,
ecstatic, and we have been on,Autopilot for so long that it's
like our body doesn't know howto move intuitively.
opening up these spaces andnoticing where the tightness is

(36:06):
in your body.
yoga is amazing.
I love yoga, but yoga isstructured.
it's still controlled.
Yeah.
Control.
And so what I'm doing is I'mcreating the space for you to
explore.
how does my body actually wantto move?
where's my body holding ontothis emotion?
And it's usually in your hips orin your shoulder blades.

(36:28):
where we store everything.
It keeps us from moving forward.
our shoulders is where we holdall the anger and the weight of
the world.
that spot between our shoulderblades in the middle of your
back, is where you hold innerchild.
That's also where your angelwings sprout from.
if we're holding onto innerchild pain and tightness, then
your angel wings cannot pop offand take you to a higher

(36:51):
perspective of living your lifeonce you attune to where the
stuckness is in your body, you're like, oh, okay.
our glutes, our low back and ourglutes, we hold our past life
and our soul contracts indifferent parts of our glutes.
I know this because Iexperienced this through
personal.

(37:12):
Experience and, working withthousands of people over the
years, I see how it's allconnected I was meant to
experience this firsthand andteach that to other people.
it's scientifically proven.

Lauren (37:24):
I told you that when I saw you, I was like, you do
realize, everything you'redoing, I was like, there's a
certification I wanted to takethat was literally all about
this stuff.
And you were like, really, really girl.
Example of how this showsthrough and people trust, you
know, they trust the resonanceof you just because it's
embodied.

Vaughn Pierro (37:41):
Thank you.
so beautiful.
to, work with women and explorewhat's next.
women that are just awakening totheir truth and women like you,
that are deep in their truth, but their body is still holding
on to.
Something that is, generations.

Lauren (38:00):
Whatever came outta me was like, I swear it was like
ancestral, like it wasgenerations of stuff that was
very deeply ingrained in mybody.
It's called a trauma release.
I don't know the way my body wasdoing the shake thing, I know
that's a way that your body'ssupposed to release trauma
through the, the amount ofadrenaline and cortisol that was
stored in my muscle.
was releasing when it wasshaking like that.

(38:20):
When I went through myexperience the amount of pain
that's gone that I didn'trealize I had, like I told you
the next week, I was like, myhip has always been tight and my
back of my hamstrings alwayssuper tight That's amazing.
I could stretch that puppy outfor years trying to get it to
loosen up.
Never worked.
But until I finally surrenderedinto the unknown and the

(38:43):
invisible and the things that wecannot see, but you can feel and
sense.
That is where you get into thedeeper healing work that you
have to understand cannot becontrolled.
It is nature.

Vaughn Pierro (38:55):
Well, it is like your conscious mind can't
comprehend the depths of whatyour soul is.

Lauren (39:02):
want to,

Vaughn Pierro (39:03):
that's why you have to be able to get into an
altered state of consciousness, which is exactly what breath
work does after five minutes ofconnected breathing, you're in
active meditation, which is an.
You know, which is an alteredstate

Lauren (39:16):
I remember the first time I did a session with Vaughn
was with 70 women at this big, gorgeous event.
I grabbed that mic so quick andI was like, guys, I used to
spend a hundred thousand dollarson drugs and alcohol, I feel
like I was higher doing breathwork and it's free than any
other time in my life.
So you're telling me that I canliterally breathe like this and

(39:36):
feel that good and no one toldme, right?
Because you don't.
It's there you have it.
It's always there for free.
You can't forget it.
You can't be like, oh, I forgotmy breath.
Work at my house.
I'm so sorry.
It's, it's always there.
You can always use it

Vaughn Pierro (39:51):
and that does take.
Work, right?
Mm-hmm.
Because you know that once youget into that active breath, you
don't know what's gonna show up.
And then people are like, do Ireally wanna go there?
And that's why it is so muchmore fun to do it with a group
of people.
I love my one-on-one stuff, but.
I really jam out with a groupbecause it's a collective

(40:14):
healing, when we're allsurrendering deeper into each
other it's like this highvibration that you can't help
but.
Surrender into And if you don'tsurrender into it, then it's
like, well, that's on you.
You won't release or receiveanything that you're not ready
for.
if you're not ready to go there, that's okay too.
Like it's just not time.

(40:34):
And maybe next time it will be.

Lauren (40:36):
Right.
Yeah.
Like I think, uh, Tracy Litalways says, you know, she has
never lost a student to breathwork or to like, you know, the
healing work or whatever.
There's nothing bad necessarilygonna happen.
It's just allowing yourself tolet go of your own suffering.
'cause there's no, there is aunconscious addiction to it and
we don't realize it until wefinally are like, why am I
resisting feeling better?

(40:57):
What is this, you know, when youget into the healing work we're
afraid of that feeling.
But you're so great at holdingspace for women.
It's so spiritual and energeticand just magical and it's who I
would always recommend anyone goto if they're interested in this
work.
So what would you say to thewoman who's listening to this
right now who's terrified ofwhat might surface if she slows

(41:19):
down or if she does get intothis work?
I know you just said your bodywon't.
Release or allow anything tocome up That is not ready but
what would you say to that womanright now who's dipping her toes
into, this work?
She just heard thisconversation.
She's mind blown.
She doesn't know what we'resaying, but for some reason it's
resonating and she's like, Ifeel called.

Vaughn Pierro (41:40):
Yeah.
I mean it's definitely scary togo into the unknown, but there's
such a.
Divine presence that is aroundeach and every one of us.
we are so supported and guidedand loved by our angels our
spirit guides, and God.

(42:02):
when we can allow ourselves tobe held and trust the guidance,
whether it's through.
Angel numbers are revealingthemselves.
we have these signs and knockson our door like the gut health
or like whatever is revealingitself to you for saying it's
time to go deeper within.

(42:22):
If you can just take that deepbreath and really feel that in
your body Supported and guided, you really are.
And to be so brave and bold toquestion what's next or what may

(42:44):
be available to you, or theseteachers and healers and
conversations that are broughtin front of you.
there truly is no coincidence.
just recently.
I had never really gottenconsistent acupuncture.
I kept feeling like acupuncture, acupuncture, then my husband
started talking aboutacupuncture.
He's like, maybe you should goto acupuncture.

(43:05):
And then five other people werelike, have you considered
acupuncture?
And I'm like, okay, universe, Ihear you.
so now I just started with that.
Acupuncture program and met thisbeautiful doctor that's just
like two miles down the roadfrom me.
I know we're gonna be dearfriends forever you know, so
it's these little messages andsigns that are just here to

(43:28):
support you, like the universewants you to be happy, wants you
to be thriving.
anytime I.
Get caught up in my own shit Itake a deep breath and remember
that I'm created to be happy,God wants me to be happy and to
thrive and to, I.

(43:48):
And my soul wants me, you know,my soul knows why I came here in
this lifetime what lessons Icame here to experience and to
heal to and from and through, and people that are in my life,
you know, that I can, instead ofbeing angry I can take the
opportunity to learn and growAnd so it just really becomes a

(44:10):
mindset shift.
the invitation, is for you toexplore what that may look like
for you.
What is a baby step you can do,even if it's just messaging
Lauren or myself and being like, wow, this conversation really.
Spoke to me like I wanna feelfreedom.
I hear a whisper inside myselfand I have no idea where to

(44:33):
begin or where to start.
Like we live for that shit.
We live for those messages.
Like anytime someone signs upfor anything, you know, I'm just
like, ah, I get so excited.
'cause I'm like, she said yes.
You know?
Like this is the beginning ofwho knows what.
I didn't know.
You certainly didn't know.
there's always more available tous, and that's what I'm here

(44:55):
for.
The more, without theexpectation, just the curiosity
of I wonder what's next.

Lauren (45:01):
Yeah, just as in healing, we can't comprehend
what is happening within ourbody.
the more that we expect certainthings to look a certain way or
attach to it, we restrictourselves.
the more that we can surrenderand release and trust and lean
into it and just feel the nudge, that's why.
Body literacy, which issomething that I teach deeply
because you cannot listen toyour intuition if you are not

(45:24):
connected to your body.
You will be listening to yourshitty committee, your mind
fuckery, and you'll just behitting stress responses,
thinking it's intuitiveabilities, but really it's just
fear.
So it's allowing yourself toreally.
Listen to your body.
What is it calling you towards?
What's lighting you up?
what is making you feel goodinside?

(45:44):
Right?
And you described this sobeautifully, and this is such a
rich conversation that we had,Vaughn, what you just shared
throughout this wholeconversation is literally a
permission slip for anyone who'sfelt disconnected from their
body, who's felt that nudge too.
Discover something more to seetheir, you know, symptom as an

(46:06):
initiation into something waybigger than they could have ever
imagined.
It is not the end of the world.
It's actually an opening, aninitiation into something you
cannot comprehend, until youallow yourself to go there and
see yourself and allow yourselfto, become your best healer and
become your.
Driver to discover what is outthere for you.

(46:29):
So where can these lovely humanbeings listening to this episode
connect with you?

Vaughn Pierro (46:34):
Oh, well thank you.
Thank you so much for having meon for this conversation and for
being you and showing up as you.
I'm so grateful to you and yourconnection and our journey
together.
We are, I just see us likeholding hands and skipping
through the rest of our livestogether, and I'm.
So grateful for that.
Um, I am most active onInstagram.

(46:57):
I share healing stories ofwhat's.
Possible and available.
I have a highlight reel in mystories, where you can see
what's available to you outthere.
Mm-hmm.
so Instagram, I have a podcastcalled the Cosmic Healing
Podcast, and I share, my ownjourney.
Yeah, it is pretty much like apersonal journal entry for me
over there.
I have retreats and I live inthe Atlanta area I host monthly

(47:21):
classes and yeah, um, I have acourse called Breathe Into Your
Chakras, and that's reallyprofound.
It's, really supportive.
if you were curious about that,I'm happy to share a discount
link for your listeners.
I can get that to you.
And, uh, and it's, it's great.
It's a great way in your ownhome, just to start to play with

(47:43):
your breath, get to know mebetter, understand your energy
centers and how it's allconnected, and how you can use
your breath to move through it.
So it's really a beautifulcourse.
I think that's about it.
Yeah, I mean, I just.
Just message me.
Right?
Like, just, just find me onFacebook.
Like I said, I live for thosemessages that are like, Hey, I
just listened to your podcastand, you know, so I just, I, I

(48:07):
mean, that's it, right?

Lauren (48:08):
Yeah.
It's, it's the best.
Me, me and Willan talked aboutthat we'll listen to podcasts
and we'll love'em, and then wedon't really say anything to the
person who created it.
So I know since me and her hadthat conversation, I make sure
to Reach out to the person andbe like, I love the podcast.
'cause there's so much energythat goes into it.
even though we love it, it'sstill just one of those things
we're here to connect with youguys I'll put all that

(48:29):
information into the show notesfor you, Vonne so you can
connect with her.
But truly, truly, we are justtwo human beings going through
this whole thing.
And one of the things is thatEven through the work that I do,
working with the gut, thenervous system identity
evolution, I incorporate breathwork.
So I team up with Vaughn.
I recommend people to her, anything that can get you into

(48:49):
the body and anybody who canopen up your spirit to say, hmm.
This is interesting.
So hopefully Vaughn did that foryou.
I'm excited that she is ourfirst guest for this podcast.
Vaughn, I love you so much andI'm glad that you were here and
