Man, dig this — The ancients knew what we forgot In these neon days and concrete thoughts.
Hebrew mind saw one creation No division, no segregation Body, soul, spirit — unified constellation Not parts to dissect with cold calculation.
The Scripture speaks of nephesh — living breath Not ghost machines awaiting death But beings breathing divine intention Dust animated with holy invention.
Science chops us into chemicals and bone Neurons firing in the cranial zone As if the mind were just a brain And consciousness, a temporal chain.
These modern cats with their material rule Split the being from the soul Measure man with math and scale Miss the essence, chase the tail.
But the Word says we're more than matter in motion More than cells and electrical notion We're image-bearers of the Infinite One Not accidents under an indifferent sun.
Can you quantify your mother's love? Can you calculate the weight of grief? Can you measure why that tune moves you so? Can you diagram the moment of belief?
The Biblical man is whole like bread Not divided into spirit and head An integrated reflection divine Not machine of space and time.
Materialists say we're just cosmic dust Temporary patterns that will someday rust But ancient wisdom knew all along We're notes in an eternal song.
Let's sing some more, man!
