Inspired by Luke 12:16-21 which talks about Jesus' parable of the rich fool who makes excellent long-term financial plans but is called a fool because he is not rich toward God, particularly since this parable powerfully distinguishes between prudent temporal planning and genuine eternal wisdom, showing how seemingly wise strategies can ultimately prove foolish if they neglect spiritual reality.

[bass walks slowly in minor key]

Dig this scene, cats— A square with green spilling from his pockets, Building barns of tomorrow While his soul runs empty like last night's bottle.

[piano plays sparse, contemplative chord]

Crazy, man, crazy— The greatest architectural feat: Silos reaching skyward, But the foundation's sand, you dig?

[saxophone riff, questioning, searching]

"Soul, baby, relax! Years of cool ahead— Eat, drink, make with the scene." But the cosmos plays a different riff.

[drum brush intensifies]

That night, that wild night, When the squares of time collapse— The Man Upstairs lays it down: "Tonight your soul splits, Daddy-O. Your barn-building days are through. Who inherits your cool now?"

[horn section punctuates with dissonant chord]

Solid, man— The cat who stacks bread for himself, But remains a spiritual square, Is nowhere in the eternal jam session.

[bass walks with increasing urgency]

So what's the word, bird? Invest in the eternal, Be rich toward the Divine Beatnik, Who digs not your material scene, But the dimensions of your soul.

[all instruments fade to whispered cymbal]

There's a richer kind of rich, you dig? Not measured in barns or bread, But in the currency of eternity. The ultimate cool is being nowhere in time And everywhere in God's mind.

[finger snaps fade to silence]

Let's sing some more, man!
