This week on the podcast, we’re talking about the art (and strategy) of adding new services to your clinic. Denzil chats with Brandon Jacobs, founder of Park Integrative Health, about how he’s built a thriving multidisciplinary clinic by carefully selecting services that align with his vision: medical and allied health practitioners collaborating together.

Denzil shares Brandon’s tips on growing intentionally — everything from starting with what you know, to focusing on big-picture goals, to the importance of timing. Whether you’re considering adding new disciplines or just curious about what makes a great clinic tick, this episode has something for you.

Have you opened a multidisciplinary clinic? We’d love to hear your story! Send in your thoughts and join the conversation.

Speaker 1 (00:03):
Oh hi, it's Denzel again.
Have you noticed how somemultidisciplinary clinics feel
like they just get it Like whenyou walk in, it's clear that
they've mastered that sweet spotbetween what people need and
what keeps them coming back.
But here's the question nobodytalks about enough.
How do they choose whichservices to offer in the first

(00:24):
place?
It's a tough one.
I mean, you've been doing whatyou know best for a long time
and now the idea of addingsomething new how will you know
if it's going to fail or if it'sgoing to change everything?
When I sat down with BrandonJacobs on Radio Front Desk, his
story really stuck with me.
His clinic Park IntegrativeHealth isn't just another

(00:48):
multidisciplinary space.
It's a thoughtfully curatedteam of allied health
practitioners and physicians allunder one roof.
They've got acupuncture, familymedicine, mental health,
nutrition, massage therapy andthe list just keeps going on.
And what's even better, theymade it all work seamlessly.

(01:10):
What really impressed me washow much thought went into
choosing which service toinclude.
Brandon didn't just draw namesfrom a hat.
He carefully chose each newdiscipline to align with the
clinic's core values andactually meet the needs of their
community.
Here's what I took away fromBrandon's approach, plus some

(01:30):
ideas for those of you thinkingabout growing your clinic.
First off, start with what youknow.
Think about your primarydiscipline, what pairs with it?
Naturally, as a massagetherapist himself, he built his
clinic's foundation around wellmassage therapy.
From there, he layered onservices like acupuncture,

(01:52):
nutrition and mental health.
Why?
Because these services alignwith the holistic wellness goals
of his patients helping themmanage pain, reduce stress and
improve their overall health.
Helping them manage pain, reduce stress and improve their
overall health.
By offering complimentaryservices, he created a one-stop
solution for his patients andtheir well-being.
Another thing to focus on isyour clinic's goals.

(02:14):
What's your clinic's bigpicture?
Brandon wanted to create aspace that's different from the
rest.
He envisioned a place wheremedical and allied health
practitioners aren't justworking side by side, they're
working as allies, with theshared goal of transforming
healthcare into a more connectedand inclusive experience.
So think it through what's yourbig picture?

(02:37):
Once you know that, it's a loteasier to figure out what
disciplines will help you getthere.
Next, think about what's missing.
Brandon made it clear thatlocation and patient
demographics can teach you a lot.
He told me that people keptasking him when are you going to
add physical therapy?
Or what about chiropractic, andso that feedback actually

(02:59):
shaped how Park IntegrativeHealth grew.
Even if your patients aren'tasking outright, you can look at
trends in your area to getideas.
Maybe you're in an area withlots of young families.
In that case, services likespeech therapy or prenatal
chiropractic might be a goodoption.
And finally, timing does matter.

(03:21):
So when's the right time tobranch out?
Should you wait until yourcurrent practitioners are book
solid?
Not necessarily.
Here's what Brandon said.
That stuck with me, even thoughyou want to ensure you have a
solid foundation to avoideverything crashing down.
He told me that sometimes youjust need to jump on

(03:42):
opportunities before that fearcreeps in and holds you back.
I think that's kind ofbeautiful.
So what disciplines would youadd to your clinic?
I'd love to hear your insightsinto what worked and what didn't
.
I know our little communityhere would appreciate them too.
Send me a note at frontdesk atjaneapp.

(04:04):
Well, that's all from me.
Thanks for tuning in andhanging out.
You got this.
