SPEAKER_01 (00:04):
Welcome to G Ignite,
the podcast where we burn the
rule book, ditch the goods, andlight up the lives we were meant
to lead.
I'm your host, Carrie Lowe, candlemaker, confidence dealer,
and your favorite fire starter.
Around here, we speak boldly, dream wildly, and show up messy
and magical.
(00:24):
If you're done playing small andready to own your own spark,
you're in the right damn place.
Now let's get lit.
(00:46):
Hey hey, Firestarters.
Welcome back to She Ignites, theplace where someday is replaced
with today, and when I'm readybecomes right fucking now.
So today's conversation is onethe Phoenix in you has been
begging for.
The Phoenix is tired of waiting.
(01:07):
We've been sold the story thatyou only rise after you hit rock
bottom, that you need to beburned to ash before you can
come back stronger.
But what if you're allowed torise just because you decided
to?
By the end of this episode, you'll have the tools and the
audacity to start your rise nowwithout waiting for catastrophe
(01:27):
to be your permission slip.
So I want to share with youabout the rise I didn't earn.
A few years ago, I went througha season where everything was
fine, not amazing, not awful, just fine.
I kept telling myself, when Ifinally get fed up, I'll change.
When things get worse, I'll act.
But here's the thing.
(01:48):
The breaking point never came.
Instead, I woke up one morning, looked around my life, that was
fine, and realized I've beensitting in lukewarm water for
years, waiting for someone toturn up the heat so I'd finally
jump.
That was the day that I learned.
You don't have to wait for theashes to rise.
You can choose to rise from theembers while the fire's still
(02:08):
burning low.
So why do we wait?
We wait because we think painmakes the rise more legitimate.
We believe struggle earns us theright to change.
We fear people will say, Why areyou doing that?
Things aren't even bad.
But the phoenix isn't aboutpunishment.
It's about transformation.
(02:29):
And transformation?
It doesn't require tragedy.
Waiting for rock bottom is likewaiting for your house to burn
down before you redecorate.
So let's talk about the Phoenixreframe.
Rise on demand.
What if the Phoenix in you couldrise anytime she wanted?
Rising on demand means that youset your timeline.
(02:52):
You don't need the drama ofdestruction to justify your
evolution.
You accept that desire alone isenough reason to transform.
No ashes required, justignition.
So step number one, we're gonnaname the ashes we're avoiding.
Ask yourself these questions.
What am I afraid would have tohappen before I finally move?
(03:14):
Losing the job?
That relationship ending?
A health scare?
Write them down, then ask, can Iskip the disaster and still make
the change?
Spoiler alert, yes you fuckingcan.
Step number two.
Identify your rise markers.
Instead of waiting for collapse, set your own rise signals.
(03:36):
Have you been feeling bored formore than three months?
Are you finding yourselfdaydreaming about another life?
Are you saying I wish more thanI will?
Those are your cues to stand upnow before the floor falls out
beneath you.
Step number three are microrises.
You don't have to reinvent yourlife overnight.
(03:58):
Do it in increments.
Micro rise is in identity.
Change how you introduceyourself.
Add a becoming statement.
Micro rise is an environment.
Rearrange your space to reflectyour future self.
Micro rise is in action?
Try the thing you've beenputting off today.
(04:20):
Don't wait.
Every micro rise is a matchyou're striking in advance of
the big blaze.
Now I'm gonna share with you amicro ritual.
Standing in the smoke.
Close your eyes.
Again if you're not driving.
Imagine yourself standing in awide open space with warm air
(04:41):
curling around you.
You smell smoke.
Not destruction, butpossibility.
In the distance, you see theversion of you who has already
risen.
She's walking toward you.
Tall, sure, confident, andunapologetic.
She stops, hands you a torch, and says, You don't have to wait
(05:04):
anymore.
Breathe that in.
Feel it in your chest.
And when you're ready, imagineyourself taking the first step
forward.
So now it's time for yourseven-day Phoenix challenge.
On day one, write down one areaof your life you've been wanting
to change.
(05:24):
Day two.
List the rock bottom scenarioyou've been unconsciously
waiting for before making thatchange.
Day three.
Decide how you can make thechange before that scenario
happens.
Day four.
Take one micro rise action.
Even if it's tiny.
(05:46):
Day five.
Remove one item from your spacethat belongs to the old you.
Day six.
Tell someone you trust aboutyour rise in progress.
Day seven.
Celebrate the decision, not theoutcome, with a ritual that
feels powerful to you.
(06:07):
So the Phoenix in you is notpatient.
She's not polite.
She's not waiting for permissionfrom pain.
She rises because she is ready.
And readiness is reason enough.
So here's a challenge.
Don't wait for the burn.
Rise now and keep rising untilthe horizon is nothing but your
(06:29):
own fire.
This is She Ignites.
I'm Carrie.
And your wings, they're alreadyopen.
Well that's it for today, babe.
But your fire is just gettingstarted.
If you're feeling lit up, goahead and hit subscribe, leave a
spicy little review, and tag meat SheIgnites CandleCo.
(06:53):
So I can hype you up.
Remember, the world doesn't needa quieter version of you.
It needs the bold, blazing, fully expressed view.
Until next time, keep glowing, keep going, and never ever dim
your damn light.
