question in my mind was, Iwonder who Janice Joplin is. So

Station. When's that gonnahappen? It will launch on
Tuesday, October 21, just threedays before the World Series
start. Now since we'rediscussing current events, I
have to tell you, I fell behindon this one. Did you realize

back in 2023, Major LeagueBaseball incorporated a new rule
to speed up the game?
And it it wasn't the pitchclock. It was another one. And
this rule states that when teamsgo into extra innings, either
team gets to start the inningwith a runner on second base.

Oh, yeah. It's true.
And I just found out about it,but we gotta report the news. It
is officially called theautomatic runner rule, but
you'll hear it called the ghostrunner rule or Manford man rule.
But here's the caveat. It's notenforced during the postseason.

So with the playoffs happeningnow, you will not see it happen.
Just thought you should know itis rather interesting. So if
you're going into the tenthinning in regular season, a team
automatically places a runner onsecond base. That way even if
there's a good base hit, arunner will score. You don't

have to like it. It's okay ifyou do like it.
It's just a fact, but notenforced during the post season.
It's fun to know the things thatare happening around us even if
