Speaker 1 (00:00):
We are on assignment in Florida, my home state. We'll
follow a number of stories here, including one where a
family just had a multi one hundred million dollar verdict
reversed by an appeals court, and we'll check in on
all of the campaigns heading up to election day tomorrow.
It's all next to the Mack Gates Show. Let's do this.
We'll shaking up Washington, d C. We're breaking the fever.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
You haven't watched his guy on television. It's like a machine.
He's great, Matt Gates.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Tomorrow is election day from New York to California and
even in places like Virginia and New Jersey. We will
see which trajectory is drawing the attention of the American voter. Now,
if Republicans overperform in this election, it will show that
President Trump's positivity about the economy has worked to secure
peace around the world, and the approach he's taken to

(00:56):
illegal immigration with strong deportation that will get rewarded and
that will be showcased by voters who want to see
that plan continue and not face challenges from recalcitrant governors
or members of the United States Congress. If Democrats overperform
and might reward their shutdown strategy and show that the
no King's approach to politics is giving their voters something

(01:19):
to be excited about.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
It is typical after one party wins a substantial majority,
sometimes their voters can be relieved less animated. That's why
you see a lot of presidents lose seats in midterm elections.
But this is an off year election, and you'll hear
about some places where just the right work on the ground,
harvesting ballots, curing ballots, getting great candidates could be the

(01:43):
difference to help Republicans. Democrats are playing on their home
turf tomorrow in a lot of blue jurisdictions. But we
may also see a mixed result where the quality of
candidates and the impact of campaigns makes a difference. Let's
go to the Commonwealth of Virgil. There, the attorney general
candidate had texts revealed that showcased a real negativity and

(02:07):
bloodlust for violence toward a political opponent. When you're hoping
that the children of your opponents are harmed, it's generally
not something that attracts the type of swing voters that
you need to win. In the Commonwealth of Virginia, We've
had Lieutenant governor candidate John Reid on the program frequently.
Here's the case he's making.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Democrats aren't backing away from really the bad decisions they've
been making. They pulled win some seers are current lieutenant
governor who's running for governor off the campaign trail so
that she can't actually engage with voters. I think that's
a big problem that people are going to resent. It's
kind of dirty, dirty play here. In the last couple

(02:47):
of days.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
The Democrat candidate for attorney general really set the world
on fire with some explosive tweets wishing physical harm to
the children of a political rival.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
And what's more shocked than one person's of bad behavior
and threats of violence is that nobody in the Democrat
Party in Virginia has forced this guy off the ticket.
In fact, when you look at his campaign finance reports,
they've given him almost a million dollars since the text

(03:18):
messages were discovered, which is just stunning. The mindset that
wouldn't say this is the line that you can't cross,
and I think Virginians aren't going to tolerate it.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
So we are most bullish about Republican hopes in Virginia
because Jaye Jones is such a uniquely bad candidate, having
how these text messages released. But we're also watching New
Jersey very closely because there we've seen the game plan
that Republicans used in Pennsylvania to go and track down
ballots actually replicated. Cliff Maloney ran PA Chase in the

(03:57):
twenty twenty four election. He's been in a New Jersey
and here's what he had to share with us about race.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
New Jersey is definitely a winnable race. Look, I looked
at this a couple months ago. I was not as
optimistic as I am. Now we have launched a New
Jersey Chase program. We've got one hundred and five individuals
in the state of New Jersey.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
I'm here right now.

Speaker 5 (04:16):
We're chasing ballots. I mean, poles recently have it as
tightened as forty four, forty four, forty three, forty three.
So it's really going to come down to can Jack
Chittarelli compete and vote by mail? And my entire job
right now with the NJ Chase program is to go
out to every Republican that's not likely to vote an
election day to get them to vote right now by

(04:37):
mail or make a plan to vote early. If we
compete by mail and early and we do what we
did in twenty one in terms of turnout, Jack Chittarelli
will be the next governor of New Jersey. We've got
eyesen years for the last since August fourth, since we've
been here, and then we've got a nationally focused race,
something that didn't happen in twenty twenty one. So people

(04:58):
are coming in from all over the placed, lawyers, pole lodgers,
They are analyzing, they are going to be tracking. That
gives me confidence in the race.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
But this just hasn't been a generic Republican against a
generic Democrat in New Jersey. Mikey Cheryl served in Congress
with me. There. She was a very prolific stock trader,
and she's been pressed on this issue, including in the
most recent debate.

Speaker 6 (05:24):
There's another big difference between her public service. In my
public service, it actually cost me money the time I
put in and took away from my company. In the
seven years that she's been in Congress, she's tripled her
net worth. There's another big difference between the two of us. Okay,
she broke the law. She had to pay fines for
violating federal law on stock trades and stock reporting, and
The New York Times reports that while you're sitting on

(05:46):
the House Armed Services Committee, you were trading defense stocks.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
Cliff Maloney chasing every ballot, Mikey Cheryl having to answer
tough questions about stock trading. You could see the magic
happen in We're probably less optimistic about New York City,
where socialists are on. Mom Donnie has run a very
effective campaign. He beat Cuomo in the Democratic primary, now
has a splintered opposition. But Brandon Strock of the walk

(06:13):
Away campaign is in New York and he's a little
more optimistic.

Speaker 7 (06:17):
The Fat Lady hasn't completely sung yet. We're seeing an
all time record high in early voting, like an over
five hundred percent surge, and that includes Staten Island, which
is solidly read for the most part. Even they are
seeing a massive spike in early voting. Sixty percent of
these people are over the age of fifty five. This
is not Mom Donnie's base, so I think that there
is a massive surge of people who are coming out

(06:40):
to vote against Mom Donnie. I've spent the last four
and a half months talking to literally hundreds of New
Yorkers all over the city in all different areas, young people,
old people, white people, black people, brown people, and I
have found in every demographic that there are Democrats people
who are not ready to leave their party, who are
saying that this is a step too far for them

(07:00):
and that they are concerned about their party becoming a
socialist party. I'm still holding out hope that we may
see a victory on Tuesday, and I'm going to keep
fighting between now and then. But if we don't, I
think the upshot here is that we're not going to
take our eyes off of New York City and we're
going to hold this guy's feet to the fire for
the next four years.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
One place where it's hard to find any optimism is California,
where Governor Gavin Newsom has put a question on the
ballot to allow Democrats to functionally steal five Republican congressional districts.
Vin Crdavindi is running for Congress in California and he
says Republicans are behind.

Speaker 8 (07:36):
The biggest issue Congressman Gates has been the turnout Republican
vord returnout and your presence definitely helped rally up a
lot of bagger Republicans, but if you look at the
number of ballots returned, the number is really low.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Ultimately, what I'm going to be watching for the elections
is coalition development, coalition building. There was something very unique
about the Trump coalition. He inspired working class voters of
every race, of every geography to actually get out there
for him. And will that happen in an election where
he's not on the ballot. The key may be young people,

(08:17):
and the head of polling and operations at Rasbussin, Mark Mitchell,
told us young people have to be courted.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Zoomers are not happy. They essentially want to burn the
system down because they think it's economically unfair to them.
And they really aren't principled. They don't care about liberal
or capitalism. They just want things fixed. And they hit
a sixty percent sixty percent favorable of Donald Trump's job
approval back in February. Now where are they, Well, he's
in the thirties with them, I'm afraid they can't buy

(08:45):
a house, they can't form families. There's increasing instance of
mental health, and half eighteen to twenty nine year olds
say they can't even find a full time job. So
things are getting worse, and if the Republican Party doesn't,
like overnight, become the party of economic populism, They're going
to lose these people.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Carmen, Maria Montiel is on the ballot in Texas. Tomorrow
she will learn her fate in this jungle race that
is occurring as a consequence of a vacancy in the
United States House of Representatives. Carmen, thank you so much
for joining us on the program again. How are you
feeling with one day left.

Speaker 9 (09:14):
In the campaign, Well, thanks for having me back. We
are doing great. I feel fantastic they turn out. I'm
sorry it's being very low, which is positive for us
in early voting because as you know, Democrats sends to
vote in early voting and we Republicans vote on election day,

(09:35):
so I'm very positive about that.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Cone.

Speaker 9 (09:37):
Also, the ballot by mail has been very low, which
means there are not abusing the battles by mail. So
I think, you know, I'm ready to give us a
prize tomorrow, or at the least I will be in
the runoff.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Do you get a sense in Texas that it's more
the Democrats or more the Republicans who have the energy
going into these.

Speaker 9 (10:00):
Final hours right now, we are the ones with the energies.
The Democrats have no platform. The only thing they have
to offer is they're going to fight Trump. But they
don't have a plan for their constituents, they don't have
a plan for the country, they don't have a plan
for their city. They're just saying they're going to fight Trump.

(10:20):
And how is that helping our people?

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Not at all.

Speaker 9 (10:24):
So it's very sad that the Democrats pretty much are
dead and and is this broken record, and they're all
afraid of the boogeyman. They need to stop talking about
the boogeyman and start talking about the people.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
We have a boogeyman of our own to talk about.
It's very possible that tomorrow in New York will elect
a socialist mayor. And I just can't believe that. I know,
you have this strong connection to Venezuela, and we've seen
what socialism and communism have done there. Just as someone
who has such a strong tie to a place that
is embraced socialism, what warning would you give the people

(11:02):
of New York about this choice they're about to make.

Speaker 9 (11:06):
It's terrible, stay away, don't do it. You will regret it.
And it's going to be so hard to get out
of it. Once these people get in position, it is
impossible to ever win an election because they get control
of it and they will never let it go. People
have no idea. They're getting set to destroy one of

(11:27):
the most important cities in the world, and they are
just fascinated with socialism because we started to we stop
talking about socialism and.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
The reality in schools.

Speaker 9 (11:38):
So people have no idea what is coming up to them,
and they need to stop, you know, fantasizing with socialism. Socialism,
as I said, always they run out of money. Even
in the desert, they run out of sand, and they
have to join crime to survive. So plus not to mention,

(12:01):
you know, the imposition of Sharia law. That is something
that can be coming to New York by this if
this person gets elected as the mayor of New York.
We in Texas are facing an attack by the Muslims
and the grow of Sharia law. And they even wanted
to be built what is called an epic city. Thank god,

(12:26):
since they were breaking so many real estate laws, our
governor was able to stop that plan. But United States
is under attack by Islam, the Islamic people, and they
want to implement Sharia law. And look at the British
and France and so many other countries we are in

(12:49):
and that's what I'm doing. What I'm doing, We're in
a bad path.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Yeah, we don't tend to believe that anyone just by
virtue of their religion is a danger. But of course
political is when radicalized, has been a very destructive force
everywhere that it is presented. You know, in Texas it
seems that Sharia law was even on the March more
than in New York. You correctly pointed out these efforts

(13:14):
to establish these communities that might be governed by something
other than the traditional laws that we think about. How
is the effort going in Texas to stop some of
these more radical approaches to community, Well.

Speaker 9 (13:29):
It was, Thanksgarding the last legislature it was prohibit. Sharia
law has become prohibit in the state of Texas because
we were under attack, because nearby we have a county
that is pretty much taken by then. And as I
told you, the epic seated was an incredible pen a
huge plan, and thanks God, our governor was able to

(13:52):
stop it because they were breaking so many real estate
laws that allow for the governor to stop it.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
Well, I do want to ask you about one of
the votes you may be asked to take if you
are elected to Congress tomorrow, and it does deal with Venezuela.
The Trump administration has taken a very aggressive posture toward
the Maduro regime. If you were in Congress, would you
vote to give President Trump the power to strike the
Maduro regime and replace him as the leader of that country?

Speaker 9 (14:26):
Definitely yes. The Maduro regime, a communist regime, has joined crime.
So is Dobo Wami's communism, which historically has starved people
to death, is responsible for millions of life laws, millions
of death around the world. And now they have joined

(14:49):
not only the drag cartail, but they are in alliance
with Hamas and his volas. So they really represent a
danger to the UNI United States and they need to
be exterminated. The region needs to end and and and
Venezuela deserve to be free and have a knew day,

(15:13):
a new start again.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
And if Venezuela were to have regime change, what do
you think would happened next?

Speaker 9 (15:22):
Well, you have an incredible woman that will take over
and she will be vice president, and Maria Colina Machado
with the team that she's putting together that I know
she's putting together a fantastic team of people, and I
know many Venezuelan people will return. A lot of people

(15:43):
will love to return to Venezuela and to put the
knowledge they have acquired while being here on any part
in the world to be part of rebuilding Venezuela.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Well. People returning to their homeland because their homeland is
safe and secure is something we always support. We've seen
that in Al Salvador a security has been achieved there.
And we don't know quite what would happen after a
regime change of following Maduro, but we do know ed
Mundo Gonzalez won that election against Maduro, and that's because
Maria Karina Machada wasn't allowed to run in the election

(16:17):
because of some stupid reason that this tyrant had developed.
So we're not sure our regime change would go. But
it's very interesting to learn how you would vote. We
wish you well in the election tomorrow, Carmen Maria montiel
A candidate for the United States Congress in Texas, and
stay safe on the trail and we hope that you
have a very successful day. And evening and career in
the Congress.

Speaker 9 (16:37):
Thanks for joining us, appreciate it, Thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
Coming up, there was a Netflix documentary that created a
lot of sympathy for a family that was negatively impacted
by a hospital system here in Florida. That hospital system
just got more than two hundred million dollars verdict thrown out.
We'll tell you why and see which side is right
or wrong. Next to the Mackag.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
We're going to tell you about the horrible case of
the Kowalski family. Maya Kowalski was ten years old. She
showed up at All Children's Hospital in Florida. Her parents
had treated her with ketamine because she had a very
rare condition that caused her to have pain all over
her body. As a result of Florida's mandatory reporting laws,
they actually accused her family of child abuse because of

(19:40):
a dispute over the treatment for that child. Again, this
is a rare medical condition. Parents weren't allowed to see
Maya Kowalski. Her mother ultimately committed suicide. There was a
lawsuit that was brought. The jury awarded over two hundred
million dollars to the family, and an appeals court just
vacated that ruling. Was decision we'll discuss. Philip Debay is

(20:03):
a quarter appointed counselor and legal analyst and joins US. Now, So, Philip,
how should people think about this verdict being vacated by
the appellate court and the matter involving mcwalski family.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
Justice was served.

Speaker 12 (20:15):
I'm telling you justice was denied initially in this case.
I hate to say it, and I got to tell you, Matt,
and I'm sure a lot of attorneys will agree if
I ever get out of law, it's because of judges.
This particular trial judge just simply ignored the immunity statute
for all the practitioners in the hospital. There is a
law where this occurred in the state of Florida for

(20:37):
what's called mandated reporters, meaning if a medical practitioner or
a hospital staffer reasonably suspects child abuse, abandonment, or neglect,
they are lawfully required to phone it in to the
abuse hotline. If they failed to call it in, it's
a felony. You can go to prison in the state

(21:00):
of Florida for up to five years her failing to
call it in.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
So in this particular case, what.

Speaker 12 (21:06):
Happened was the hospital staff suspected that this child was
the target of Munchausen syndrome by proxy at the hands
of the mother. The problem was, it turned out that
the practitioners were incorrect. That she had a disease called
a complex regional pain syndrome that's quite unusual in children

(21:29):
her age, and basically what it is is just chronic
diffuse pain throughout the body that's a neurological response to
some type of trauma or surgery. And they couldn't figure
out what was wrong with her, So the family had
her enketamine treatment to try to manage the pain and
the symptoms and the lesions on her body. The problem

(21:50):
was the hospital wanted to take her off of it.
The family complained, and now the jury has come back
with an award of over two one hundred and sixty
one million dollars based on an inunized conduct. The trial
judge slashed it down, I think, to two hundred and
thirteen million, thinking he was doing the hospital it was JOHNS.

(22:12):
Hopkins All Children's Hospital of favor. But then what happened.
The Florida Court of Appeals came in and threw the
whole thing out and said that this judge caused inunized
conduct to permeate this trial and gave the jury a
skewed view of what went on in that hospital, when
in fact all was privileged.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
All of it was legally privileged.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Well and privileged and immunized by the by the hand
of the state legislature. And I think that begs a
policy question because I remember when a lot of these
mandatory reporting laws were passed, it was because there were
instances of abuse and neglect and people just kept quiet,
and then we ended up with dead children on our
hands in a variety of circumstances. Do you think that

(22:56):
the pendulum has just swung too far the other way?
Where now as a result of mandatory reporting laws, there
is this obligation, even when there is a sincere dispute
about treatment, to elevate that to potential child abuse.

Speaker 12 (23:11):
No, in this particular case, remember the standard as whether
or not the individual reasonably suspects abuse, abandonment, or neglect.
And you had a child who kept presenting with bizarre
symptoms of pain, had lesions on her body, she could
barely walk, she was wheelchair bound, but whenever she was

(23:32):
away from the care of her mother and father, she
miraculously got better. And that is a classic characteristic of
Munchausen syndrome by proxy. So all that really matters is
that under the law, they reasonably suspect the abuse and
they report it. And once they report it, then social
workers come in from the Department of Children and Family

(23:53):
Services to investigate it and if they feel it has merit,
they then go into court. And they went into court
to have this child removed from the home, and the
court issued a sheltering order. So in the end it
was designed really to protect the child. So I don't
think the pendulum has swung by way of immunizing reports.

(24:15):
Where I think the pendulum has swung is juries running
a monk with these types of awards.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
I mean, I got to tell you, on.

Speaker 12 (24:22):
A personal level, even if the hospital was good for it,
they were overly abusive. Let's just give them that two
hundred and sixty one million.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
I mean, I think a message could have been But I.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Think I know why. Yeah, I think I know why.
And I think there are a lot of juries that
have observed so much standing in the way of the
parent child relationship. They observe it in society, they observe
it in the educational setting, they observe it in the
healthcare setting, and in a place like Melbourne, Florida, which

(24:53):
I know, well, you have a very conservative jury pool
in Brevard County, and I think they just might have
wanted to stick it to the corporate entity here. And
of course we don't want to see jury verdicts result
in anything other than the specific conduct that is alleged
in the facts in the law. But I get why
more and more juris are saying, wait, what somebody tried
to second guest parenting, Let's make that entity pay. But

(25:16):
in this case vacated by the appellate court, and that
type of mandatory reporting still going to be required by law,
still going to be immunized, and Philip Debay thinks that's
the way it should be. Legal analyst and a quarter
point of counselor Philip, thank you for coming on the
program and sharing your expertise, my pleasure, and coming up,
we had to Brazil, where there is an AI social

(25:38):
listening system that will determine whether or not your statements
about gender should result in you getting charged with a
hate crime. A familiar guest of this show has been
caught in the drag net again and she'll react next.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
In Brazil, the Lula government is facing an election and
they're using unique tools and technology to try to create
resilience around their regime that is turning increasingly tyrannical. They've
developed AI software that will listen to posts on social media,
and if you say something about gender or about climate
change that they don't like, you could be guilty of

(28:31):
some sort of crime, maybe even a hate law. We
have seen the impact of that on several Brazilians, and
we're about to speak to one now. She's a feminist
influencer and a political activist. Isabella Seppa joins us. Now,
So Isabella, tell us how you got caught up again
in your government's efforts to police speech.

Speaker 13 (28:51):
Hi, man, thank you for having me again. The answer
to this would be, I don't even know because I'm
not allowed access to the file, so this time I
don't even know what I did.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
Well, how do you feel about your country taking this
extraordinary step to use AI to scrape people's sentiments online
and then use that as a basis to charge them
with these types of crimes.

Speaker 13 (29:19):
It is this topic, It is wired, and it's very scary.
We totally understand why they're doing this because we're going
to have the elections next year. So they made it
very clear that the aim is to control people's opinions
and comments online. But of course the main target is
going to be women who defend sex based rights. And

(29:40):
we have many examples of this already happening without AI.
So with the AI, it's going to become much worse,
that's for sure.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
Yeah, I would like your sense of just the core
issue here, which is the direction Brazil is taking against women.
What is your critique of of that choice made by
your government?

Speaker 13 (30:04):
It was expected since the last elections. I told everybody, Hey,
this is what Lula is going for. It's just becoming
worse and worse. So this is being made with his
approval and our government's approval. That it's of course they're
being paid for that. We know where the money is

(30:24):
coming from. There is all this happening after a meeting
between Alexander Soto's and Erica Julton, which was the politician
who prosecuted me in the first place and lost. So
and they discussed, in Alexander Soto's words, a single model
of democracy. So we know what they're going for. We

(30:46):
know they are being dictated, let's say, by the Democrats
of the US. This is something that we all know.
But things are definitely going too far in ways that
we did not expect. Nobody could predict something as horrible
and wild as.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
This, And that's why it's so much a bigger story
than just Brazil, because this is really an expose in
what the Soros model of democracy looks like. That one model,
and in your case, it looks like a model that
deploys AI to figure out where people have disagreement and

(31:27):
then punish that disagreement as if it is dangerous. And
you know, as you see this play out in Brazil
and you've made the allegation, we can't confirm, of course,
that you think it's as a consequence of payoffs? Is
there any other basis Lula would have to embrace this
radical gender theory and this form of digital tyranny.

Speaker 13 (31:53):
I can say him personally, but his whole government, let's
say so. Now, of course, he's going to run for
the fourth time next year and he's losing popularity, so
he's just going with it. One thing that I know
that I heard from our Ministry for Women is that

(32:13):
she was not allowed to talk about this issue, and
what was stopping her was the Ministry of Health, because
in Brazil, the public health system is eight hundred percent free.
And now, for example, surgeries for feminization of the voice
are being provided by our public health system, so of
course there are companies interested in providing to our government.

(32:37):
And lobbying in Brazil is not allowed, it's completely illegal.
So this is happening through donations to NGOs, is coming
from the Washington Office, is coming from Open Societies, coming
from Ford Foundation, so we know who is paying and
we know where the money is going to. And they're

(32:59):
building reports that are being used by our Supreme Court,
by our government with fake numbers, fake data about the
alleged transpopulation in Brazil, and there are women fighting it.
So they created this AI platform and they started their
whole work by posting fake news and allegations, false allegations

(33:24):
about these organizations of women that are fighting it.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
It seems like such a strange and such a really
heavy handed way to approach political dissent. Now that you've
been caught up in this dragnet yet again, what do
you think is going to happen to you?

Speaker 13 (33:45):
Well, to me, nothing, I'm going to say. In the
same situation, I cannot go back to my country, at
least not in the foreseeable future. But with international protection,
there's not much they can do. They're not going to
arrest me. They're just going to make my life hell.
Once again, this man is obsessed with me.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
Wow. Well, no person should be targeted by their government
like that for their political views. We believe in the
ability to express dissent, to have an opinion that is
different than that the government holds. But in the United States,
I think we're looking at Brazil and wondering if that's
what's next for us. What warning would you give people

(34:30):
in the United States about some of these AI tools
that give a government the ability to isolate dissent and
punish it.

Speaker 13 (34:40):
It is so strange to even think of answering to
this question, because not so long ago, we thought this
was so far from Brazilian reality, this level of censorship.
So I guess at the moment, agreeing or disagreeing with
your current government, I must say that great work is

(35:01):
being done in fighting vocism, and I think we should
have done the same thing in Brazil. That's why it
was a mistake. And I say this for everyone who
voted for Lula. I'm campaigning for everyone who thinks it
is a good idea to vote for him again, it's
not so I think you should just keep doing what

(35:22):
you're doing because it is really dangerous. There's a lot
of money involved, and we need to fight this because
it's happening in many countries, not just in Brazil. I
think in Latin America we're being used as some sort
of LB test, and if it works for US, I
guess they assume it's going to work in other countries too,

(35:43):
but their following popularity people are just not going along
with this anymore. I don't think it's gonna last much longer.
I think we're seeing the default of.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Do you think do you think Lulu lose if the
election were held, if the election were held today, what
do you lose?

Speaker 2 (36:06):
I guess so, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
You know what. I think that this is the type
of behavior that you get from people who know that
they are losing popular support. The Biden administration in the
United States started using these heavy handed tactics when people
were resisting the lockdowns, resisting the vaccines, and ultimately resisting
Joe Biden himself. It is always the death rattle of

(36:31):
a tyrannical administration to attempt these things. We are so
sorry that you've been caught up up in it yet again,
Miss Seppa, thank you for joining us on the program
and we look forward to checking back in with you.
We hope for better days ahead for Brazil and certainly
for your safety.

Speaker 13 (36:45):
Thank you so much. Matt always here to talk about
these crazy issues.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
Thank you. And coming up, we've got Azoria's CEO James fishback.
He'll talk about his reaction to an adjailing of a
floridian in the Middle East by Isel. Also, the Republican
Jewish Coalition had their convention in Las Vegas. We've got
some of the highlights. You won't want to miss that.

Speaker 10 (37:07):
Next, Hey, if your cable provider doesn't offer one America
News Network, you should give them a call and kindly
demand that they carry OAN. Now you're the customer, and
without your feedback, your cable provider will not know that

(37:28):
there is a strong demand across this country for one
America News Network. So please call your cable company today
and kindly ask or demand that they add ANN to
their channel lineup. Hey, everyone, here's a question for you.
What does Roku TV, Apple TV, and Amazon fireTV all

(37:53):
have in common? The answer is that all three platforms
offer you the ability to live stream one of More
Erica News Network from your Roku TV, Apple TV.

Speaker 11 (38:03):
Or Amazon Fire device.

Speaker 10 (38:05):

enjoy all the great programming offered by ON including my
show Real America.

Speaker 11 (38:18):
Hey did you know that?

Speaker 10 (38:19):

other talk shows offered by One America News Network are

(38:52):
how can they watch OAN live? The solution is simple.
It's a streaming platform called cloud tv. Now it's spelled
klowd TV. Simply go to cloudtv dot com and subscribe
to watch twenty four to seven live feeds OFAN. The
live package is only two dollars and fifty cents per

(39:13):
month for all you can watch. Again, simply go to
cloudtv dot com and do it today.

Speaker 14 (39:25):
No one is talking about this story, but in my
home state of Florida. A fifteen year old United States
citizen by the name of Mohammed Abraham was picked up
by the Israeli military in the middle of the night
because he allegedly through a rock and an armored vehicle,
harming no one. He has been in prison now for

(39:45):
over eight months, has not even had a trial, has
not been credibly accused of any crimes. He turned sixteen
years old in prison. Look, it doesn't matter where you
are on this side.

Speaker 15 (39:56):
Of the war.

Speaker 14 (39:57):
A foreign country has no right to take our citizens,
especially teenagers, and keep them in prison without a fair
trial or fair due process.

Speaker 1 (40:08):
James Fishback is the CEO of a Zoria and he
joins us now. James, you recently brought attention to a
case involving a young Floridian who was in the Middle
East and is now detained by the government of Israel
following throwing of rocks at an Israeli tank. What can
you tell us about the condition of that individual and
where things stand now?

Speaker 14 (40:30):
Well, Matt good Evening, it's sad that an American citizen
is being detained in a foreign country. It's even saddered
that this American citizen is sixteen years old. He's from
our home state of Florida right there, from Melbourne, Florida
and Brevard County. He's been in prison, not for two months,
not for three months. He's been in prison for eight
months since February when he was picked up by Israeli
armed forces at three o'clock in the morning for allegedly

(40:54):
throwing a rock, hurting no one. There's no allegation that
anyone was hurt. Now, if he did throw the rock,
that's wrong. The issue is there's been absolutely no due
process in all of this, and Matt, I'm someone who
believes in the promise of due process. I want to
hold Israel to the same standard as every other country
in the world. After all, they're the only democracy in
the Middle East. I don't believe in double standards. Let's

(41:15):
hold Israel to the standard of due processes and is
shrined in our constitution. Mohammed Abraham, from my home state
of Florida, at sixteen years old, deserves due process. If
he threw the rock, release him with time served. He
deserves to be receiving medical attention. He's lost twenty six pounds, Matt,
He's contracted scabies and if he didn't throw the rock,
because there's no evidence provided that he did. He must

(41:37):
be released immediately and issued a formal apology by the
Israeli government. He's an American citizen. He deserves to be
in school today in Florida, not in a foreign prison.

Speaker 1 (41:49):
The Repulican Jewish Coalition held their convention this past weekend
in Las Vegas, and this notion you just described about
Israel being the only democracy in the region had a
lot of the speakers at that forum saying that they
were being unfairly judged, unfairly criticized, unfairly focused on, as scrutinized.
Do you believe that in the United States we hold

(42:12):
Israel to perhaps a higher standard that's unfair.

Speaker 14 (42:17):
Well, I believe that some people do that, But I
believe that as the US government and America first government,
President Trump want a mandate to provide for Americans to
look out for Americans. And here's the truth, Matt, Israel
is the only country in the world that tries children
through military court. That's exactly where Muhammad is right now.
He has not been charged, there has not been a trial,

(42:38):
there has been zero due process. His family hasn't been
able to see him, visit him in prison, since he
was taken from them in the middle of the night.
And so, look, Israel is the only democracy in the
Middle East. Let's hold them to that standard. In democracies,
we have clear due process, we have clear speedy trials,
and sadly, an American citizen who is a teenager has
not been afforded those rights. And so my message to

(43:01):
Israel this evening is very simple. This is not about
left versus right. This is not about whether you support
Israeli's war or Hamas or anything. This is about right
versus wrong. A sixteen year old teenager deserves to be
in school in Florida, my home state, tomorrow, not in
a foreign military prison.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
Let's shift gears a little bit in talk politics. We've
got an election tomorrow. They'll be voting everywhere from New
York to California to Ohio. Just generally you pay close
attention to these things. Do you think Republicans are going
to overperform or do you think Democrats will And what
do you assess the voters want right now in these
off year elections.

Speaker 14 (43:42):
Well, it's a great, great point. I think we have
to isolate New York because that little communist is likely
going to win no matter what. He's been actually rather
captivating and charismatic. I don't agree with anything he has
to say, but you got to give credit where credits do. Matt,
let's talk about Virginia in New Jersey. I was in
New Jersey yesterday campaigning for Jack Shitdarelli. I think he
has a really good shot at success. For one reason.

(44:03):
For the last quarter century, twenty five years, Matt, the
Democrats have had monopolistic control over Trenton, over everything that's
come in and out of that state, and they have
let New Jersey down. Electric bills are up twenty percent
this year, the state capital refuses to act on property taxes.
And let's not forget it is a sanctuary state through
and through. And so if President Trump's poll members are right,

(44:23):
and I suspect that they are, that he's getting approval
on the economy, on immigration, we should see that show
up in New Jersey and he should be able to overperform.
And let's hope actually find success and elect Jack Shudarelli
as New Jersey's next governor. Make history tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (44:39):
Yeah, And look, I mean, these are a lot of
contests that people are watching in very blue jurisdiction. So
if Republicans don't have some signature win in one of
these places, that doesn't necessarily mean Republicans have underperformed. I'm
going to look at that coalition building that President Trump
has done with a lot of African American males, working
class people, Hispanic mails. I'm going to look at how

(45:02):
we're doing in the suburbs. I'm going to look at
the way that the turnout among some of those low
propensity voters is presenting now as opposed to win President
Trump was on the ballot, And I think that's what's
going to tell us a lot about the midterms. If
we see that Trump coalition showing up even in places
Trump didn't win, like New Jersey, California, New York, I

(45:23):
think that that tells the Republicans they're on the right path.
And I also think it could send an important message
about the shutdown. You and I have discussed the shutdown extensively,
and you know, it's kind of like a shutdown about
nothing going nowhere at the hand of Chuck Schumer. But
at the same time, there will be impacts that will
be felt by people, whether it's air traffic control, not working,

(45:45):
the certain inspections not happening, increase in prices along the way,
and when that happens, I think Democrats are going to
see that this is all they have to run on
in the midterms if this shutdown fails. James Fishback, do
you think the Democrats are doomed for the mid terms.

Speaker 14 (46:01):
I think they're doomed. I don't think they can come
back from this. And it's not just this, it's everything else, Matt.
They have this response to anything that the President puts
out and they want to attack. And look at what
happened this past weekend. The President stood up for Christians
who are being genocided in Nigeria, and Nicki Minaj, of
all people, the superstar in the black Christian community, stepped

(46:22):
up and thanked President Trump for his leadership fighting for Christians.
We hear a lot about anti Semitism, but President Trump
recognizes that anti Christian bias is real and when Christians
are being gunned down in a Muslim country like Nigeria,
he has to act. And I talked with black Christian
leaders this past week in Florida and they are thankful
for what President Trump has done there.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
So I observed on X recently, there was somebody who
had seen a number of your interviews on our program,
and you've been hitting the media circuit a lot lately,
and they said you were somebody who had the values
and the vision and the ideas they'd love to see
in the governor's mansion in Florida. So, James Fishbeck, are
you thinking about running for governor in the Sunshine State?

Speaker 14 (47:04):
Matt? Florida has been my home since that day I
was born. I grew up in South Florida. I live
in the Panhandle.

Speaker 3 (47:09):
Now.

Speaker 14 (47:09):
This state has given me so much, and I'll tell
you Governor DeSantis is an extraordinary leader. For the last
nearly eight years, has created something that has been the
envy of not just America but the world. And I
think whoever replaces Governor De Santis should be able to
preserve and build on that legacy. I'm thinking about it.
Not going to make any news tonight, Matt, but I'm
going to talk more with leaders across our state, Republicans

(47:30):
and even Democrats, to get a better sense of what
direction they want the state to go in. But I
got to tell you, we got to preserve what Governor
De Santis did in Tallahassee and for everyone in the
Sunshine State.

Speaker 1 (47:42):
Yeah, it's hard to think about any of the big
fights we had when I was in the state legislature
that Governor de Santis didn't win. You know, he won
so many for the rights of workers, for the rights
of people to grow, And you're right, that'll be that's
a legacy worth defending and I think a lot of
people will be very interested in your decision making process
along the way. CEO of A Zoria James Fishback, thanks

(48:05):
for joining us on the program and sharing your insights.

Speaker 14 (48:08):
Thanks Matt.

Speaker 1 (48:09):

the Republican nominee, and we'll see if there's a chance next.

Speaker 11 (49:27):
Hey, everyone, here's a question for you.

So join us at free Talk forty five and express

Speaker 15 (51:31):
Ever, theology is that we have trickle down incompetence happening
at city Hall right now.

Speaker 16 (51:43):
When you turn tune into any city Hall session they're
talking about, I mean, they have a resolution for a
ceasefire in Israel. I'm sorry, we need a resolution for
a ceasefire in.

Speaker 1 (51:53):
The West End.

Speaker 17 (51:54):
Vision I see is from what I see from city
Hall is that you're glorified custodians. Focus on the jobs
at hand, focus on spending the money properly, focusing on
fixing the roads, and focus on making sure that your
crime is in order.

Speaker 16 (52:07):
And I'm here to be a wreaking ball for that
corruption in our city. We're going to bring the industry
back to these neighborhoods. We're gonna bring jobs back to
these neighborhoods. We're a great transportation back to these neighborhoods. Now,
we're gonna see our city skyrocket to a level.

Speaker 1 (52:24):
That was Corey Bowman, he's running a very strong campaign
for mayor of Cincinnati, and there are activists in Ohio
who believe he actually has a chance to take over
this otherwise blue jurisdiction. Gabe Guidarini is the chair of
the Ohio College Republicans and he joins us now. So
Gabe tell us how the mayoral campaign of Corey Bowman
is going in Cincinnati.

Speaker 18 (52:45):
Thanks for having me on. Yeah, the Corey Bowman campaign
has a lot of momentum right now, and we're really
starting to see it with the concerns that people are
having all around Cincinnati and all around the state of Ohio. Really,
when we're looking at crime that is going through the
roof in this city of Cincinnati. There was like seven
shootings over the course of the weekend over Halloween festivities,

(53:08):
hundreds of shots for fire. And we're looking at also
the cost of living in Cincinnati, which is going through
the roof. And these issues of crime and housing security
are really concerning, especially to young people. I'm the chairman
of the Ohio College Republican Federation and a lot of
young people, especially in the city of Cincinnati, are really

(53:28):
concerned about these things. And the current leadership, which is
controlled by radical left Democrats in the city has overseen
a large amount of failures from from the top down,
and we're starting to see it, especially in the police
force was just twenty percent understaffed, and in the city
where the housing values are going through the roof. People

(53:49):
want new leadership, and Corey Bowman is a young face
that is offering new solutions. He's for the people, he's
talking to people on the street, and the current mayor
just isn't doing that.

Speaker 1 (54:01):
What are some of the policy choices democrats have made
in city government that have degraded quality of life so much.

Speaker 18 (54:08):
Well, it's the same thing that they've been doing at
major cities all across the country, which is prioritizing their ideology,
their idealistic belief system over what actually matters to people,
which is safety, affordability, and prosperity in your wallet. And
what we're seeing with that is a whole great deal

(54:29):
of things. First of all, the priorities of the city
government are not where they should be. We're seeing a
lack of focus on crime, a lack of focus on
enriching and empowering the police force to do their jobs,
and an increase of focus in what we're seeing with
this social leftism, with virtue signaling at every institutional level

(54:50):
of the city government, and people are fed up with it.
People are seeing what is happening, and it's just really
what it seems like to many people is a core
is a a mayoral campaign that is really just the
incumbent mayor trying to get to higher office later out
and down the line. Corey Bowman actually wants to be
mayor of Cincinnati, and people are seeing that at every level.

(55:14):
And I think that that's really what the dichotomy is here.

Speaker 1 (55:20):
What advice would you give Republicans running in some of
these deep blue jurisdictions about how to sharpen their message
to get more young people voting Republican.

Speaker 18 (55:31):
Well, I think the young people right now are really
starting to ask what is our country supposed to be
for us? What is our experience supposed to be like?
For this country? Young people are really questioning in many
ways whether the American dream is a real concept, whether
it actually applies anymore in America today, And we're seeing

(55:52):
it a lot. With job insecurity, young people are consistently
not getting high paying jobs at the level that their
parents and grandparents got. They're starting to see an increase
of crime in their communities. You know, their parents and
grandparents used to enjoy safe communities, so safe that you
didn't even necessarily have to lock your home during the
day hours. That's completely changed. Young people are getting not

(56:13):
only price out of their communities, but they're also getting
crimed out of their communities because they know that the
violent crime problem is so severe that unless you move
to the suburbs, where housing values and apartment values are
even higher, and the cost of living is way higher,
then you're not going to be safe. And that's in
many ways why this cost of living in suburban communities

(56:36):
outside the city has inflated so much in recent years.
So these are the issues that young people are concerned about,
and they're not getting it from democratic leadership. Democratic leadership
likes to panner to a particular segment of young people
that is already in their camp with social leftism, with
virtue signaling, with this progressive ideology that brings people in

(56:58):
and loops them around ass I'm a pearl clutching. But
young people who are not already in the leftist camp
are concerned about the issues that actually affect their wallets,
affect their ability to live off a single income, to
get a family, to raise children without having to work
multiple jobs. These are the issues that young people are
concerned about, and Republicans like Corey Bowman are actually paving

(57:22):
the way on these on these types of messages, I
think that more Republicans nationwide need to start to take notes.

Speaker 1 (57:29):
There are those who say America cities are just dead.
They have been in such a state of decay. They
became sanctuary cities, overrun by illegal immigrants, and like you said,
people just left and went to the burbs. But like
in my home state of Florida, in Miami, where we've
had Republican leadership, the city is vibrant, the city is thriving.

(57:51):
Cities can be awesome. And I remember campaigning with JD.
Vance when he was running for the Senate, and whenever
I would have anything, you know, a little bit negative
to say about Cincinnati, he would defend his home city.
He would get out there and say, this is a
place that can be exceptional. There are great minds here,
there are great creations that can happen here. So like,
is there a positive view of city life that you

(58:15):
would embrace or are you more on the side that
the cities are dead and we ought to look elsewhere
for our political victories.

Speaker 18 (58:22):
I would definitely lean more towards the former than the latter.
Cities are where American greatness comes from. America's greatness is
rooted in our cities. It's root in our urban areas.
If we retreat into the rules, if we retreat as conservatives,
as Americans who believe in the strength of our country,
if we retreat into the countryside, we are leaving our

(58:46):
cities up for grabs. When people look to America from
outside of America, when people look for symbols of America's greatness,
our inherent greatness as a nation that has existed for
hundreds of years, in which was built by the people
who were here before us, they look at our cities.
They look at cities like Chicago, they look like they
look at New York, and they do look at Cincinnati,

(59:08):
which for a long period of time was one of
the peak industrial centers powering America's recovery in America's growth
during the twentieth century. And if we don't save our cities,
if we don't rebuild our cities and prioritize in many
ways our urban areas, we are letting go a crucial
component of our country that makes it great. We cannot

(59:30):
surrender the cities. We have to keep fighting for them,
and we have to keep putting an extra extra focus
on it.

Speaker 1 (59:39):
That is a response the Vice President of the United States,
I'm certain would be very proud of, and I'm sure
that the Corey Bowman campaign is thrilled to have you

of the Ohio College Republicans, thanks for coming on the

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
