Speaker 1 (00:00):
We remain on assignment in the Sunshine State. I'm here
in Florida and we are watching election results from all
around the country. We'll talk about what it means. We've
got Congressman Barry Moore here. He's running for the United
States Senate, so he's got as I on how these
different votes cast mean different things for the future of
the Republican Party and the strategy of Democrats. We've also
got Mike Howell here from the Heritage Foundation. They've been
(00:22):
in the news a lot lately. And Kurt Mills from
the American Conservative. It's all next to the Matt Gates Show.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Let's do this shaking up Washington, d C. We're breaking
the fever.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Do you ever watch this guy on television? It's like
a machine.
Speaker 4 (00:37):
He's great.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Matt Gates.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
There's talk of a deal on Capitol Hill to end
what is currently the second longest shutdown in American history.
We've been talking about the potential negative consequences of this shutdown.
People receiving public assistance, people waiting for a determination by
the government on a variety of things that are important
to ensure President trum productivity agenda advances. We've been very
(01:03):
skeptical of the motivations of Democrats like Chuck Schumer. Some
have said this is all a consequence of his political
fear of someone like AOC getting to his left and
showing that he's not fighting hard enough, but fighting for
what exactly. Republicans have been right to point out the
Democrats include in their demands money to fund medicaid programs
that allow illegal aliens to enroll in blue states, so
(01:25):
reasonable people are wondering, why should the Biden baseline budgets
be enhanced so that blue states can continue to make
irresponsible decisions. The House of Representatives has passed a continuing
resolution to maintain those spending levels, but has indicated that
they're not really willing to do more. Now there is
talk of a deal, and we're going to get to
(01:45):
that with somebody right in the middle of it, US
Congressman Barry Moore. But that deal would essentially have the
Senate take up and pass the House Continuing Resolution and
then make a guarantee of a number of bipartisan mini buses.
These are bills that don't deal with a single subject,
but combine a variety of different agency funding requests and
(02:06):
bills that will get Republican and Democrats support. We worry
that there may be backsliding in the policy riders in
those bills that could impair the Trump agenda.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Caroline Levitt spoke about the matter today.
Speaker 5 (02:18):
The Democrats' obstructionism will break the record for the longest
government shutdown in American history tonight. The Democrats are intentionally
hurting American families, workers, and businesses with this shutdown to
fight for free health care for illegal aliens and to
appease their radical left wing base, and it's a total disgrace.
(02:40):
On Sunday alone, more than five thousand flights traveling to
and from US airports were delaid because of the Democrats.
These men and women who keep our airspace safe and
moving will miss a second paycheck in a row this
Friday if Democrats refuse to open the government. Recipients of
these STA benefits need to understand going to take some
(03:00):
time to receive this money because the Democrats have forced
the administration into a very untenable position. We are digging
into a contingency fund that is supposed to be for emergencies, catastrophes,
for war, and the President does not want to have
to tap into this fund. In the future, and Democrats
need to reopen the government so we can get these
benefits out the door for people who truly need them.
(03:20):
All we need are five Democrat Senators to put country
over party and vote to end this reckless shutdown. Republicans
need to play tough and they need to play smart.
That's how the president feels, and we know that Democrats
when they if they are ever given a chance at
power again in this city, they will absolutely take away
the filibuster from the United States Senate.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
As we've been watching the election results this evening, it's
harder to think about how the shutdown politics playing out
in Washington would have an oversized impact in a state
like Virginia or a state like New Jersey. House of
Representatives is not currently convened in Washington, d C. But
Speaker Mike Johnson is there and he's keeping the press
sure up on Senate Democrats.
Speaker 6 (04:01):
It's gotten so bad for them that even their traditional
allies are losing patients now. The head of the teacher
of the Teamsters union had a blunt message to Democrats
a couple of days ago, quote, American workers are not
bargaining ships. Senators need to stop screwing around and pass
the House past clean short term funding bill unquote. And
(04:23):
it's not just the teamsters, as you know. AFGE, the
largest union of federal workers, had the same plea, and
so did the National Association of Air Traffic Controllers, the
Coalition of Airline Pilots Association, the net Jets Association of
Shared Aircraft Pilots, the Allied Pilots Association, Southwest Airline Pilots Association,
the New York steam Fitters Union. It goes on and
(04:44):
on and on. This is a left leaning research group
that surveyed three thousand working class Americans. This was published
in Politico November two.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Quote.
Speaker 6 (04:52):
This is the finding. Working class voters perceived Democrats to
be woke, weak and out of touch, too focused on
social issues and not nearly focused enough on the economic
issues that impact everyone every day unquote. And here's the kicker.
They also said, working class voters quote can't name what
Democrats stand for other than being against Donald Trump.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Joining us now is Alabama Republican Congressman Barry Moorey's one
of President Trump's closest allies on Capitol Hill. It's currently
a candidate for the United States Senate from Alabama, Carson Moore,
thanks for joining us. We see some talks of a
potential deal to end this shutdown. Katie britt is the
Senator from Alabama we're very fond of. She may be
as very critical to these discussions. Are you guys preparing
(05:37):
to come back to Washington and reopen the government?
Speaker 7 (05:40):
We're hearing maybe by Monday, Matt, we'll be back in town,
and we don't know yet what that looks like.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
I know that Katie was. I talked to her Saturday.
Speaker 7 (05:47):
And she'd been in negotiations with Senator Schumer and her
colleagues trying to get a deal put together.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
Don't know exactly what that looks like.
Speaker 7 (05:54):
And I guess they have a vote on Thursday to
kind of see where the Democrats are going and if
they've moved it all.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
So we'll see how this thing shakes out. But I'm here.
Speaker 7 (06:02):
We might be back in town next week. No confirmation
on that just yet, though.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
President Trump called to use the nuclear option to end
the filibuster and to pass spending bills with Republican votes.
If you were in the Senate, would you be voting
to end the filibuster and open the government with just Republicans.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Well, you know Matt right now.
Speaker 7 (06:25):
You know we talked about this last time and I
wasn't a fan of the idea. I think the President's
going to meet with a number of the senators for
breakfast in the next.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Couple of days and talk about that.
Speaker 7 (06:33):
I think the President's position is they're going to do
the nuclear option where they get into power either way.
But my concern is certainly it does open up, you know,
that Pandora's box where they could possibly add DC, Puerto
Rico as a couple of states, maybe stacked at Supreme Court.
So what I would like to hear what the President
has to say and what he thinks on that going
forward before I would make a decision. Like I said,
the senator is going to meet with him, I understand
(06:54):
this week and try to get an idea of where
they go from here.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Do they in fact use the nuclear option.
Speaker 7 (06:58):
I think in some ways the Republicans will look like
the heroes if they go in and open the government.
I don't know what that looks like for our country
down the road. We've rent it this way for two
hundred and fifty years without that.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
So just have seat.
Speaker 7 (07:08):
It shakes out at this point, I don't know what
I would do on that until I visit with the
President and got some clarification on what his position was
and why it feels like this is the right thing
to do.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
There's talk that there would be a commitment to do
a series of government funding mini buses after Senator Schumer
agreed to take up and pass the House Continuing Resolution
at Biden's spending levels. Can there be many buses constructed
with negotiations between the White House and Speaker Johnson and
Chuck Schumer that actually achieve something good for the American people,
(07:42):
or based on what you've seen, is is that likely
to be.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
A backslide in policy wins?
Speaker 3 (07:47):
I mean, I don't know. It just depends on what
that looks like.
Speaker 7 (07:50):
And I know we certainly don't want to see r
up until Christmas, you know, and then we get the
Christmas gift that everybody loves, that omnibus, and so that's
always a concern.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
So maybe there is a way on this thing.
Speaker 7 (08:01):
It's odd to me that the Democrats have shut the
government down for this long period of time to actually
get a people, I understand, just for these elections that
are going on today. So It's kind of ironic, isn't
that they want to shut down the government to elect
people to run the government. And so I just kind
of find that rather weird that they were pushing this
button and holding out. And who knows if that we
heard the No Kings rally and then maybe they would
(08:22):
open the government, and then we heard the elections today,
and maybe they'll open the government.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
But who knows.
Speaker 7 (08:27):
But I would think there might be a process far.
There needs to be some sort of process. I know
that we have a lot of people in this country
who are hurting right now, but I will say this
would snap and those sort of benefits running out with
that start to decap the Democrats. I think the senators
I've talked to a couple of Democrat senators even are
starting to feel the pressure, and I think they're looking
(08:47):
to crack. So maybe Schumer gives them an off ramp.
I don't know what that looks like at this point,
but you just can't ever tell. I don't want to
get in Chuck Schumer's head. I probably understand if you
wouldn't want to either, I'd be a scary place. But
who knows what he's up to them, what he's trying
to do.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Man, Oh, you may be his colleague very soon.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
Over in the United States Senate, I do want to
ask you about one of the issues Democrats have tried
to use to animate their opposition, and that's healthcare.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
What do you think ought to be the Republican healthcare plan?
Speaker 7 (09:17):
Well, I think we got to go back and try
to undo as much of the unaffordable character as we
possibly can. And certainly, I know the President's talked about
most favorite nation status on pharmaceutical costs.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
There's got to be some options for plans.
Speaker 7 (09:28):
It looks like this program has just pushed us towards
a single payer, single provider system. And certainly nobody kept
their doctor, nobody kept their plans, nobody's premiums that were
working in America went down, everything went up, and so
there needs to be I understand we've been working on
this for some time and different committees, but ma'am, none
of us voted for this thing. I wouldn't here obviously
in two thousand and eight, we didn't vote for the
(09:50):
increased subsidies during the COVID shutdown, and so the thing,
it doesn't have a trajectory that makes it work. Down
the road, So it's going to need some serious reform.
And so obviously I think we'll be able to customize
plans for consumers, sell a state lines, like I said,
negotiate these pharmaceutical processes in some kind of way that
America is not subsidizing other parts of the world.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
And so yeah, there's a lot of things that need
to be done. Mat we don't know what that looks like.
Speaker 7 (10:14):
Going forward, but the Affordable Care Act is anything but affordable,
that's for sure.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
I do want to ask you one very specific Alabama question,
and it has to do with our military. I know
you're a great champion for the men and women who
are the uniform, and President Trump wants to see US
Space Command in Alabama, not in Colorado. And we saw
a lot of red states get punished during the Biden administration.
If the administration didn't like your abortion policies or your
(10:41):
gender policies, they would take mission away from states. Do
you think what President Trump's doing to bring this critically
important mission to Alabama will ensure that military families find
a welcome home in the Yellowhammer State.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
Yeah, and absolutely, I think that's the right thing to do.
Speaker 7 (10:56):
In the evaluation process, Alabama won twice, hands down, but
Colorado was the top state. I think they came in fifth,
but it was the top blue state. And so that's
where Biden, like you said, he wanted to punish these
red states. Never forget, they limited monaicum on antibodies to
certain red states during COVID, So the fact that they
would move to space Com for political reasons is certainly
no surprise.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
But for sure, I think that Alabama won it hands down.
Speaker 7 (11:17):
We've got a history of a great military service, so
many veterans, like I said, I've got Fort Rutger, and
you had military bases into Panhanmaa, Florida. Just a patriotic
part of the country, and so we'll certainly do a
fine JLB with Space Colm. We can build a Golden
Dome for America right there in Huntsville, Alabama and sub
out the first year suppliers across the state and across
regions there.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
That'll help us.
Speaker 7 (11:37):
But yeah, Alabama, without a question, was the hands down winner,
and it was a political decision that Biden made to
move it out of our state.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
Alabama a winner everywhere except when they play the Knowles
on the football field. Alabama Republican Congressman Barry Moore, one
of the great MAGA champions on the hill.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Thanks for joining us and getting us up to speed.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
Thank you Matt see Man.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
And coming out.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
We've got Kurt Mills joining us from the American Conservative
He'll react to some of the disagreements that have been
emerging in the Republican Party regarding US Israel policy.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Don't go anywhere.
Speaker 8 (12:14):

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Welcome Back.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
The Republican Jewish Coalition gathered this past weekend in Las Vegas,
and there were a lot of ideas discussed. Let me
just start by saying this, I welcome the Republican Jewish
Coalition to the movement and I thank them for all
the work they did to help elect President Trump and
especially Senator McCormick.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
In Pennsylvania.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
There are about four hundred thousand Jewish voters in Pennsylvania,
and without the incredible work of the Republican Jewish Coalition,
who knows what would have happened in that state and elsewhere.
That said, there are views that were expressed to the
Republican Jewish Coalition that don't really align with the changing
Republican Party led by President Trump.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
It was almost as if when I.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
Show you a few of these moments, you're gonna think
that you are watching a convention that occurred while someone
like Mike Pencer Nikki Haley were president. But we shouldn't
view criticisms of the US Israel relationship or the cheerleading
of the US is Real relationship as in any way
disqualifying to being on the same team to help save America.
(15:26):
And so please don't take any of these comments as
deplatforming or accusing others of not being welcome in the movement.
That seems to be something increasingly creeping in from the
other side of this discussion and debate, and I won't
fall victim to it. I know we need everybody rowing
in the same direction. Now, I will say that Matt Brooks,
the head of the Republican Jewish Coalition, does seem to
(15:48):
be willing to name his friends and enemies.
Speaker 7 (15:52):
Voices like Tucker Carlson, cande Son's nick Fluentes stup leaders
are unacceptable and dangerous, and we.
Speaker 9 (16:02):
At the Republican Jewish Coalition take this threat very seriously.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
We work independently and in partnership with allies like Mark
Levin and Ben Shapiro. The funniest part of that is
that Mark Levin shills for the viewpoints that you'll see
expressed by the Republican Jewish Coalition, and they don't even
pronounce his name right. You would hope that if you
(16:27):
shill that hard, they would at least get your name
right when identifying you. But of course that wasn't the
only thing that was factually wrong. In some of the
presentations we heard from Florida Congressman Randy Fine, and he
was recounting a memory with his father, who apparently at
one point was a big Tucker Carlson fan or was
he tike a list?
Speaker 8 (16:47):
If I would talk my father an e PM in night,
he would say, Randy, I gotta go.
Speaker 9 (16:54):
Tucker Carlson's going to be on.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Nine. Tucker would have just been ending his show. Of course,
Sean Hannity is who's been on at nine o'clock and
Fox News for quite some time. So we wonder if
the sincerity of that recollection matches the sincerity of some
of representative finds other viewpoints that we're expressed. Of course,
Tucker Carlson is not dangerous a matter of fact, he
raises a lot of questions that are legitimate ones. But
(17:22):
the version of Republicanism that you saw animate young people
bring people to President Trump's movement, it was often the
version of Republicanism that Tucker Carlson espoused on his program
previously and now oftentimes reflects on during his commentary as
a podcaster. But the version of Republicanism that the Republican
(17:42):
Jewish Coalition wants to embrace is that which is championed
by Senator Lindsey Graham.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Tick listen.
Speaker 10 (17:48):
But if you ever run for office as a Republican
and you embrace this where we're going to beat your
brains out, we will meet you on the battlefield of
political discourse and we will beat you politically.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
I want the world to know.
Speaker 10 (18:09):
Anti Semitism at Di Israel, rhetoric at Di Israel thought
is not the road to being elected as a Republican.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
There is a big problem when you conflate anti Semitism
with anti israel thought. One might think that some of
the decisions by the current government of Israel are bad decisions.
That doesn't make someone anti Semitic anymore than it makes
someone a traitor to the United States of America if
they were critical of Joe Biden. Of course, there is
competition for Lindsay Grahman's upcoming US Senate primary. We spoke
(18:44):
exclusively with one of his challengers and he had sharp
words for the incumbent senator.
Speaker 11 (18:49):
It's time to take out these traders, Matt and DC.
We've got enemies within Congress that we need to be
getting rid of.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
Do you believe Senator Graham is one of those traders?
Sure do.
Speaker 11 (19:01):
He's betrayed South Carolinians, he's betrayed America, and he's stabbing
Trump in the back every chance he gets.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Indeed, Senator Graham will get the battlefield of ideas that
he desires. And it's important to recognize that we support
peace for the people of Israel and President Trump is
trying to bring people together. He's trying to bring Republicans
of different persuasions, any rational Democrats who want to come along,
and in the Middle East itself, he's having to balance
a series of leverage points to get Israel to agree
(19:29):
to something, Hamas Aaron everyone else to be a part
of that infrastructure to try to secure peace. The country
of Oman has become very critical. Recently, Presidential Envoy Steve
Whitkoff was there leading a number of meetings with Arab
leaders to try to secure these critical peace agreements, and
it caught our eye that the Foreign Minister of Oman
recently had sharp words for Israel.
Speaker 12 (19:51):
But just three days before the sixth and possibly decisive
round of talks, Israel and leech is bombs and missiles
in any illegal and deadly act of sabotage. This was shameful,
(20:11):
but unfortunately it was not surprising. We have long known
that Israel, not Iran, is the primary source of insecurity
in the region.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
A major golf player saying that Israel is the primary
source of instability is a moment to note, and that
doesn't mean that continued US support of Israeli.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
Aggression is even good for Israel.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
I think in the United States, part of the discourse
that is misplaced is when you say, well, if you
don't want to send money and weapons to Israel, that
means you want bad things to happen to Israel. That
is totally false. The best thing that can happen for
Israel is peace. The best way to achieve that piece
is to stop starting wars with and for those who
(21:01):
say that October seventh was the precipice of all this,
We've condemned October seventh, But is it really a rational
response to have seventy thousand people die in Gaza? Is
it really rational to say that we can't get answers
about whether or not there was a pullback on October
seventh that resulted in a diminished force to be able
to repel an attack that even the New York Times
(21:22):
said nets and Yahu knew was coming. So we will
continue to ask these questions, even if it draws the
ire of folks like Mark Levin, who.
Speaker 13 (21:32):
Protects every Christian church in and around Jerusalem, the Israelis
who protects every holy site, no matter whose it is,
the Israelis, you don't need to pressure the Israelis to.
Speaker 4 (21:48):
Do these things.
Speaker 13 (21:49):
They've been doing these things since before our favorite administration
and before the birth of the Vice President himself.
Speaker 14 (21:57):
And I'm not picking on him.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
I'm just responding. I'm just responding. Somebody asked, joining us.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
Now is the executive director of the American Conservative Kurt Mills. So, Kurt.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
At the Republican Jewish Coalition this weekend, we heard a
version of Republicanism that sounds a lot like Mark Levin
and Lindsey Graham. Where do you think that takes the
Republican Party and our voters here for it?
Speaker 9 (22:26):
Well, there is obviously an attempt right now, most dramatically
on display at this very weird assembly over the weekend
at the Republican Jewish Convention so called, to basically hijack
the party back once Donald Trump does not run, presumably
in twenty twenty eight, that they will say, thank you,
mister President, we were your biggest fans from the beginning.
(22:48):
Of course, that was not true of either Lindsay Graham
nor Mark Levin. These were fastigious opponents of Donald Trump
in the twenty sixteen primary process. That they are hoping
that Americans are stupid, and they are hoping that Republican
primary voters are stupid and they are saying that they
are the biggest supporters of the president, and after he
(23:10):
leaves the stage, whenever that is, they can go right
back to where they were before Donald Trump came on
the scene. And that's what you saw dramatically on display.
And it's not about a religion, it's not about an ethnicity.
It's about a set of policy, and it's about power.
And that is what is openly going on right now
(23:31):
in the back channels of the Republican Party.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
Do you believe that this effort is targeted at Vice
President JD.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
Vance in some way?
Speaker 1 (23:40):
We heard Mark Levin mention him in an unflattering way.
Is there already an anti Vance resistance in this cohort
of the Republican movement.
Speaker 9 (23:52):
I think they are trying to set off a political bomb,
and if the vice president is a casualty, that's just
fined in dandy as far as the active goes. At
this convention, there's been widespread reporting that Marco Rubio was
talked about as a good president, and of course, you know,
not far behind the scenes, it's an all but certain
(24:13):
run by Ted Cruz, who's a favorite of this crowd
as well. Again, both neither of these figures are Jewish,
not about religion, but these are clear challengers to Vance,
and there's an attempt, of course to bring Vance down
behind the scenes because they don't trust them, They don't
view him as one of his own, one of their own,
(24:34):
and they view him as unreliable. And of course Vance
himself came to politics as a critic of the Bush era,
even in twenty sixteen when he was when he was
sort of a weird never Trumper. His criticisms of Trump
were not actually about policy. He actually said that Trump
did a great job at the South Carolina debate, that
(24:54):
he was a potentially welcome vehicle to turn the pages
on the Bush years of Trump are personal and obviously
he's made up of the family now and as the
vice president.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
Yeah, you'll have a lot of competition for the Israel
first vote in the twenty twenty eighth prime area. You're
going to have Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz Ron Desanis I
mean Mike Pompeo still wants to be president. He literally
gave his twenty twenty convention speech from Jerusalem in a
shilling and bizarre effort so that could be a divided
(25:26):
vote for sure. You've got a great new piece out
in The American Conservative where you talk about anti Semitism
as the new canard on campus. What do you hope
that viewers take from that piece.
Speaker 9 (25:37):
Yeah, I think number one, that I think that we
should be honest brokers. We should condemn woke pieties, and
we should condemn efforts to clamp down on free speech
when it's done by the left, and I think it
was garishly done by the left in the twenty tens
and during the Biden administration, and I think voters rightfully
drummed that out of power. But we should also reject
(25:58):
it when it's done by the right. There are efforts
to have anybody who's a critic of the State of
Israel or just a critic of this war, of this
particular government excluded from American life, excluded from campuses. And
I argue also that this is taking a lot of
understandable energy on the immigration and issue where people want
(26:19):
a more restrictionist policy, which I think is the correct policy,
and actually channeling that to the to the purpose of
only deporting critics of Israel. Sometimes the administration can give
you that impression. Also on this piece, we talked a
little bit about what I talked about in the piece
that with a magazine did about that the fact that
(26:41):
a lot of these efforts are being probably funded by
surreptitious means that a lot of the lawsuits that are
going on in this arena are funded by you know,
I don't want to say anonymous billionaires, but well established
players on the scene. That again turn to the Republican
Party of the George W. Bush heres. I think what
(27:03):
you're seeing right now is, yes, Donald Trump is the president,
but there's an effort to twist his legacy and to
morph his policies back to the Mitt Romney, George W. Bush,
you know, old school Republican Party. They do not want
this to be a permanent state of affairs. You would
think this would be settled business after ten years, but
(27:25):
these folks very rarely say die.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
Now. They are so confident, though, Kurt.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
They believe they're going to continue to win messages on
intervention as a policy pitch, and I just don't think
the voters are going to be here for it. Kurt
Mell's executive director of the American Conservative Thanks for coming.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
On and sharing your views.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
And coming up, we've got Mike Howell from the Heritage
Foundation with us to talk about all that they've been
through and all that they mean to the efforts to
hold Congress accountable. Will go over the features of a
purported deal to end the shutdown and determine whether or
not that's the right way forward as we move to
the end of twenty twenty five in the congressional funding cycle.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
It's all next to the Macays Show.
Speaker 8 (28:10):
Hey, did you know that One America News Network has
launched a twenty four to seven Twitter like social media replacement.
We're calling it Free Talk forty five. So why is
it branded free Talk forty five. Well, free talk because
you will not be censored for expressing your opinion there,
and forty five because forty five is.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
A really lucky number.
Speaker 8 (28:32):
So join us at Free Talk forty five and express
yourself with no fear of cancelation. Ever, Hey, if your
cable provider doesn't offer One America News Network, you should
get them a call and kindly demand that they carry

strong demand across this country. For One America News Network,
So please call your cable company today and kindly ask

Speaker 4 (29:15):
Hey everyone, here's a question for you.
Speaker 8 (29:17):
What does Roku TV, Apple TV, and Amazon fireTV all
have in common? The answer is that all three platforms
offer you the ability to live stream One America News
Network from your Roku TV, Apple TV or Amazon Fire device.
Simply go to the app store search out FORN, then

enjoy all the great programming offered by including my show

America News Network, then visitor online store for the latest shirts, hats.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
And mugs.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
The Heritage Foundation.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
For most of my life, it's been the backbone of
the conservative movement. They've worked to make policy on Capitol
Hill more conservative. They have a number of Heritage volunteers
and activists around the country who are regularly well apprised
on legislation and when key votes are happening, in order
to have constituents really elevating their voices to their elected representatives.
(30:46):
The Heritage Foundation also does a number of partnerships with
conservatives who are getting the voice out and sharing important messages.
The Ariage Foundation was working alongside Tucker Carlson. That got
a lot of people really mad after the Nick Flints interview,
and the president of the Heritage Foundation, Kevin Roberts, had
this to say about it.
Speaker 14 (31:03):
We will always defend truth, we will always defend America,
and we will always defend our friends against the slander
of bad actors who serve someone else's agenda. That includes
Tucker Carlson, who remains and as I have said before,
always will be a close friend of the Heritage Foundation.
The venomous coalition attacking him or sewing division, their attempt
(31:27):
to cancel him will fail.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
Like we've said previously in this show, it's not our
goal to cancel anyone or run anyone off. We understand
when battling the radical left, we need everyone on our
team who is willing to join the cause for America,
and we think that, of course includes a lot of folks,
even if they're being critical at this moment. But when
there was a call for Kevin Roberts to be removed
(31:49):
as the Heritage head as a result of this statement,
he doubled down. Take a listen to his more recent
comments before Hillsdale College a few days.
Speaker 15 (31:58):
Ago, hosted a video truly with the best of intentions,
I and Heritage don't engage in canceling people, but I
have to tell you to the students that this old
history professor made a mistake. There's one of those ideas
that really worries me. It's an idea that has become
(32:20):
cachet not just on the left, but on the far
fringes of the right, and that's anti Semitism. And our
motivation at Heritage for making that statement was to begin
appealing even more than we have to those largely disaffected
young men who are looking for belonging and identity by
(32:43):
following the wrong people.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
We care.
Speaker 15 (32:46):
Very deeply, very affectionately about the American people, and especially
the souls of our young men, particularly our young men
who are flirting with these noxious ideas.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
We of course reject anti Semitism, so does Tucker Carlson,
but at times it is unfairly conflated, and we've also
examined some of that this evening. We know this Heritage
Foundation is critically important as we go forward to try
to make the legislative output from Congress more conservative, more
in line with what the American people indeed vote for,
and less swampy.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
President of the.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
Oversight Project at the Heritage Foundation, Mike Howell is with
us now. So, Mike, I want to start with what
we heard tonight from barrymore consonant from Alabama on this program.
He believes that Congress may be in next week to
approve a deal that would have the Continuing Resolution passed
by the Senate with an agreement that there would be
subsequent government funding mini buses approved by Schumer and presumably
(33:46):
Mike Johnson and the White House. Is that a good
deal for America?
Speaker 3 (33:50):
Yeah, I don't know yet.
Speaker 16 (33:51):
It sounds to me, you know, like we're gonna get
stuck with another Christmas tree at the end of the
year of a bunch of ontibusters that are called minibuses.
One way or the other if passed this prol No,
it won't be a good deal for America, because not
much that Congress is able to get through in this
closely divided you know, Senate without sixty votes is ever
that good. So I'll hold my breath, but I mean,
I'm hopeful.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
Yeah, I wonder if the better deal I hate to
say it, but if the better deal here isn't a
longer continuing resolution and I hate continuing resolutions, but one
that doesn't have new spending priorities that would roll back
some of the policy wins from the one big beautiful bill.
I'm sure President Trump is not going to surrender on
any of those policies. So we'll see what is in
the substance of those minibus bills. And this is happening
(34:34):
in a time of really rising political violence directed at Republicans.
In Montana, there was a city council candidate who made
mention of her United States senator and really unflattering wayts
tick a listen and we'll get your reaction.
Speaker 17 (34:49):
Hi, this is Haley McNett.
Speaker 18 (34:50):
I'm a constituent in Helena, Montana, and I just wanted
to let you know that you are the most insufferable
kind of calendar fief. You just stripped away healthcare for
seventy million Americans, and I hope you're really proud of that.
Speaker 17 (35:03):
I hope that what you get pancreatic cancer and it
spreads throughout your body so fast that they can't even
treat you for it. I hope that you die in
the street like a dog. God forbid that you ever
meet me.
Speaker 18 (35:13):
On the streets, because I will make you regret it.
Speaker 17 (35:17):
Do you. I hope you die.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
When this was played to others, the individual who left
the message said that she really just intended that for
Senator Shi and her privacy was violated. When that was
more broadly broadcast. What's your reaction.
Speaker 16 (35:33):
She sounds like a minor Democrat to me. I mean,
we're seeing the take over a major American political party
that has been populated by people who think like this,
who speak like this, and act like it, and they've
run covered for so long for acts of actual extremism
and domesticearism. You know, we should have solved this after
the congressional baseball shooting when there are you know, clear
signs on the wall, but we haven't, and instead it's
(35:55):
been embraced because people at the top like Chuck Schumer,
Nancy Pelosi, Obama and the like. You know that the
only way for their party to survive is either mass
legal immigration or embracing the crazies they already let into
this country and have taken over their political party. It's
a damn shame and it looks a lot more like
a domestic terrorism movement than a mainstream political party.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
The Heritage Foundation is critically important to keep a rudder
in the water in Washington, d C. I know this personally.
You and I met a number of times when I
was in Congress. You were always pushing for more action.
You come on this program now and try to squeeze
more out of these Republican majorities so many thought for
and right now the Heritage Foundation is taking a lot
(36:38):
of incoming because you won't participate.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
In cancel culture.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
I'm not going to ask you to comment on your
colleagues at work, but for my viewers who might not
be as familiar with the Heritage Foundation, just take a
moment and talk about the different things like the Oversight
Project that are affiliated with this organization and how important
it is to keep Washington accountable.
Speaker 17 (36:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 16 (36:58):
Absolutely, and thank you for that. The Heritage Foundation, particularly
under the leadership of Kevin Roberts over the past few
years has been in my view, the most important institution
on the conservative right in the in the outside space,
not only for you know what it's best known for
its it's research and really providing the facts and the receipts,
but also its creative application of you know, the resources
people generously you know, give to heritage, and it's manifested
(37:21):
in things like the Overset project where we're able to
uncover things that you know, we're talking about now and
that are dominating the mainstream headlines. It's also you know,
I think the biggest voice of those you know, common
sense Americans and everyday Americans throughout the country who recognize
something's wrong in the political system, and it needs voices
in there to really step back from just the all
consuming DC nature of politics and reassert the you know,
(37:45):
foundational principles and policies that I think you know, ninety
percent of country actually cares about. And so it's that
and that's the reason why it continuously has a target
on its back. And there's there's nothing new in that.
It has always been under some sort of fire as
long as as I've been associated with it, and for that.
I'm incredibly proud, and I think a lot of it's
due to the tremendous leadership of doctor Kevin Roberts, and
(38:07):
I'm glad he is continuing to lead the Herridge Foundation
in this all important fight to save our country.
Speaker 2 (38:15):
He's done a great job.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
We are against circular firing squads on this program. We
certainly don't want a circular firing squad to impair the
critically important work that you do and so many others
do with the Heritage Foundation. So please pass along our
gratitude to the entire team there and know that we're
on your side. Mike Howell, the head of the Oversight
project of the Heriage Foundation, thanks for coming on the
(38:36):
program and getting us up to speed.
Speaker 3 (38:38):
Thanks for having me.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
And coming up.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
Corey D'Angelis joins us to go over some of the
tactics used in the election that is culminating tonight. You
won't believe where the Teachers' union put their money and
what they got for it.
Speaker 2 (38:51):
It's all next to the mac Gage Show.
Speaker 8 (38:58):

(40:37):
watch OAN live.
Speaker 4 (40:38):
The solution is simple.
Speaker 8 (40:40):
It's a streaming platform called cloud tv now it's spelled
klowd TV. Simply go to cloudtv dot com and subscribe
to watch twenty four to seven live feeds of OAN.
The live package is only two dollars and fifty cents
per month for all you can watch. Again, simply go
(41:01):
to cloudtv dot com and do it today.
Speaker 19 (41:09):
I'm not going to do it by being extorted by
the Democrats who have lost their way. There's something wrong
with these people. Now I happen to agree with something else.
I think we should do the nuclear option. This is
a totally different nuclear By the way, it's called ending
the filibus. The Republicans have to get tougher. If we
end the Philibus and we can do exactly what we want,
(41:30):
we're not going to lose power.
Speaker 1 (41:33):
President Trump wants to see this shutdown, and it's having
a big impact on the elections that we're seeing around
the country tonight. It's having a big impact on American families,
on troops, on those who wonder whether or not they'll
be a paycheck for them government assistants, or a key
determination that.
Speaker 2 (41:48):
They may be seeking from the government.
Speaker 1 (41:49):
Abigail Spanderger wants to be the next governor of Virginia.
Speaker 2 (41:53):
It's certainly impacting her race. Take a listener when.
Speaker 15 (41:58):
Three people, well it's Gilbert Hitler and Paul Pott.
Speaker 7 (42:02):
Here we have the Democrat candidate running for attorney general.
Speaker 2 (42:06):
Will you continue to endorse j.
Speaker 7 (42:08):
Jones wishing not only that he had two bullets to
put in a guy's head, but then he wishes death
on his children.
Speaker 17 (42:15):
A lot of people who've never met a transperson.
Speaker 4 (42:20):
Him pulling the trigger is doubt. What would do it?
Speaker 2 (42:24):
Now?
Speaker 1 (42:24):
There are allegations we've seen that we saw left wing
groups promoting some of these candidates who engaged in the
violent rhetoric over text message that's been exposed. We'll see
if that ultimately prevails. Cory Dangelis is a senior fellow
at the American Culture Project and he joins US now.
So Corey, If Abigail Spamberger pulls this off tonight, will
(42:45):
she have the teachers unions spending of major dollars to thank?
Speaker 20 (42:51):
Of course she will. The Democrats are in bed with
the teachers union. The teacher union at this point should
be re labeled just an arm of the Democrat Randy
Winegarden's union has contributed about ninety eight percent of their
contributions to Democrats in the last election cycle, and just
in time at the very end, at the eleventh hour
for Spanburger, she contributed about a half a million dollars
(43:14):
to the Spamburger campaign from the American Federation of Teachers.
If you look over in New York City as well,
in the mayoral race, Zoriam Mamdani was campaigning across the
Brooklyn Bridge just yesterday, and you had Randy Weiningarten arm
in arm with Zorian walking across the bridge there at
his stump speech. And so look you have the the
(43:36):
teachers Unions aren't just you know, an extension of the Democrats.
They're actually the far left wing of the Democrat Party,
and they're in bed with the communists, the socialists like
Mam Donnie as well.
Speaker 1 (43:50):
That I think has been the revealing part of this
experience in these elections. I always believed the teachers Unions
were kind of the establishment.
Speaker 2 (43:57):
Of the Democratic Party.
Speaker 1 (43:58):
They wanted to win elections to get the policy concessions
they want, But we could be looking at something very
different in the mid terms. Do you expect that the
teachers unions will get involved to have the most progressive
candidates representing Democrats.
Speaker 20 (44:12):
I think that's exactly right, Matt, and I think this
is why Randy Weingarten left the Democrat National Committee. She
was on the DNC for about thirty years, and she
even had a really high position on the Rules Committee,
an influential spot. And she left and basically said because
the DNC wasn't listening to her as much anymore. And
(44:34):
I think it's because there was a disagreement with the
new chair, Ken Martin. He didn't think it was appropriate
to flank the Democrats from the left into primary incumbents
who were not sufficially progressive. But it appears Randy Winingarten
the teachers unions disagreed with that idea. And so if
you're a conservative teacher and an independent teacher, or even
(44:56):
a Democrat teacher who doesn't like the people like so
radical like Mam Donnie, you should stop funding these monsters
at the teachers union. Randy Wininguarden makes over half a
million dollars a year to push your far left agenda
in the schools. And so you can opt out of
the union that opt out today and join alternatives like
the Teacher Freedom Alliance. I think that's how we incentivize
(45:17):
people like Randy Weiningarten to change their tune, start to
focus on I don't know, the teachers and the kids
as opposed to their far left politics.
Speaker 1 (45:27):
My viewers are going to see Democrats win some elections
tonight and they're going to hear you talking about the
amount of money these teachers unions put into these campaigns.
What do you think they're actually buying for that money
in terms of policy.
Speaker 20 (45:41):
Well, the radical left and the teachers unions have figured
out that they don't have to have their own kids anymore.
They can infiltrate the government school system, use money to
put their thumb on the scale, to push the electorate
to the left, to push the people in power to
the left, to push their radical agenda into the classroom.
Then they can brainwash millions of kids, young impressionable minds,
(46:02):
for seven hours a day for thirteen years of their lives,
to go up and churn out more Democratic foot soldiers.
Once they get out of high school, there'll be eighteen
they can go and vote for people like Zooram Amdani.
Why do you think he's in first place in New
York City. He's expected to win tonight. And look, I
think the school system and the union control of that
(46:23):
system is largely to blame. I think the general populace
would be a lot more conservative if they could choose
their school, if we had school choice. And thankfully in
the Big Beautiful Bill, there was a nationwide school choice
policy passed in It does allow governors to opt in,
so I think the Republicans will be first in line
to benefit from that program in states like Texas and
(46:44):
in Florida. But look, families need to be able to
vote with their feet away from schools that tell you
that big government's the solution to all of your problems.
We need competition and that school choice provides that, and
then teacher choice is important than they can now leave
the union and not fund these monsters who endorse j
(47:04):
two Bullets Jones in the Virginia Attorney General's race, for example.
Speaker 1 (47:11):
So bizarre but very revealing. We're glad you're out there
fighting them. Corey DeAngelis a senior fellow at the American
Culture Project. Thanks for joining us and having the warning
in the right place so that we're able to identify
appreciate you.
Speaker 3 (47:24):
Thanks so much.

launched a twenty four to seven Twitter like social media replacement.
We're calling it free Talk forty five. So why is
it branded free Talk forty five. Well, free talk because
you will not be censored for expressing your opinion there,
and forty five because forty five is a really lucky number.
(50:38):
So join us at free Talk forty five and express
yourself with no fear of cancelation.
Speaker 1 (50:44):
Ever, Honduras is having elections at the end of the month,
and if you think they don't impact you, When Honduras
has in stability, we get more migrants, we get more
cartels able to have a permissive environment for their activities.
(51:07):
I spoke about the need to get back to right
wing policies on Honduras recently on the MACA Show. The
US military base in Honduras is at Sodo Cano Air
Force Base. It's a strategic lynchpin for American security in
the Western Hemisphere. Its location allows the United States to
project power, protect trade routes, and monitor migration in cartel activity.
So we have a major military asset sitting in a
(51:29):
country where things are less than stable. The last president
of Hondurasjan Orlando Hernandez, is currently serving a multi decade
sentence in a US prison for alleged connections with narcos.
So how is cooperation around infrastructure at the Sodo Cano
Air Base going?
Speaker 2 (51:45):
Not well.
Speaker 1 (51:47):
The base shares runways with the Palmaroa International Airport. It's
the largest commercial aviation operation in Honduras. We've investigated that airport,
we have exclusive reporting, and something isn't right. You'll see
these images of state of the art radars, their runway lights, tech,
except these things aren't turned on. They aren't allowing it
(52:09):
to actually be used on purpose, possibly out of spite
directed at the US military. I'm concerned the Honduran government
is actually trying to send the United States a message
in the pettiest and most counterproductive of ways.
Speaker 4 (52:23):
You see, the current.
Speaker 1 (52:24):
Operator of the Honduran airport lives in America. He's friendly
with the West. He's outwardly supportive of the United States
and President Trump, and that's not the direction the Hondurans
are headed. I'm very concerned about the rising influence of
China in Honduras. Honduras's own summary of potential cooperation with
China lists Audio Puertos airports. I am concerned that the
(52:50):
left wing pro China government in Honduras might be purposefully
degrading airfields used by American military. The idea that the
Honduran government can be jerks with an airport in hopes
of flipping it from a US friendly owner to Chinese
ownership is the stuff of third world Bandits not a
(53:10):
serious country. Honduras has a choice to make, and we
are watching. Do you want to bet on China? Do
you want to mess with our military and our friends?
I wouldn't recommend it. One Honduran president already sits in
American jails, and if necessary, we have room for more.
Kilvid Bertrand is a candidate for the equivalent of the
Honduran Congress, and he joins us now. So, mister Bertrand,
(53:33):
is China going to try to mess with your elections
this month to preserve a left wing government in Honduras?
Speaker 3 (53:40):
Hi, Matt, nice to see you.
Speaker 21 (53:41):
It's a really good pleasure and really nice pleasure being
with you today. Well, we hope not, but we cannot
say that's not a possibility right now. I say you
might know we are under radical left the party Librahim,
who is extremely good friend and ally of Nicolas malulun
(54:01):
Arco regime in Venezuela and has started relationships with China.
So that's obviously something that worries us. We are hoping
that we have transparent, free elections in twenty three days
and hopefully we can change this. As I tell you,
left this extreme party that we have in power right
now that has done terrible things to Honduras and has
(54:24):
made a huge impact on the relationships that we've had
with the United States.
Speaker 1 (54:30):
Some of my sources in Honduras are concerned about Venezuelan influence.
As Maduro tries to externalize his conflict, he may seek
to use some of the tactics that he deployed to
stay in power despite overwhelmingly losing the election to a
Mundo Gonzalez. Are you worried about Venezuelan muscle in Honduras
on election day at the end.
Speaker 2 (54:50):
Of the month.
Speaker 21 (54:51):
Yeah, so we are extremely worried about that. There is
a huge risk for rigged elections in Honduras at the
hands of the article Left, a party which is total
packed by Madudo's Narco regime. In recent days, we've seen
something that we've seen in Venezuela before, a direct attack
on the opposition. For example, our National Electoral Council member
(55:11):
cost Lopez has been under enormous pressure from the government,
which just threatened to imprison her using AI generated audios
recordings that accuse her of try to conspire to commit
electoral fraud. This ridiculous accusation only demonstrates the desperation, obviously
of the Narco party in the government, allied with Nicolas
(55:33):
Madudo to steal the elections and remain in power. This
is something mad that we've seen basically happening in every
single country that has this type of regimes in power.
We saw it in Venezuela and there's something that is
really important for the people in the US to know
we were one of the few countries in the whole
world who recognized the winning of Nicolas ma Duro in Venezuela,
(55:57):
even though we all saw the whole world saw well
that he stole the elections. So that tells you a
lot on how our government thinks. And obviously they are
enemies of democracy, they are enemies of free election, their
enemies of the United States, and we're hoping to get
rid of them in the next elections.
Speaker 1 (56:18):
And if you do, what are you promising the people
of Honduras And what will it mean for the US
Honduras relationship If it's a right leaning government.
Speaker 21 (56:27):
Well, look, I represent the largest political party with the
best organization and the best candidate.
Speaker 3 (56:35):
I can totally assure you.
Speaker 21 (56:37):
I assure you in the United States that when the
National Party wins and our candidate Tito as Fuda is
elected as the president, we will strengthen the relationship with
United States and the Trump administration, whom we consider the
most important ally that we have and we've always had.
We will again join forces, for example, in the combat
(56:59):
of drug trafficking, trying to make our economy better, which
is something really important for the Durant people because this
type of governments that we have right now, they create
mass poverty, and poverty obviously gets you another results. For example,
violence that we've been softfering in Honduras. We have two
(57:19):
of the CIT's major cities take and some petals again
on the most violent cities in the world, and all
of that what caused is terrible.
Speaker 3 (57:31):
Yeah, it causes migration.
Speaker 2 (57:33):
No, that's that's terrible.
Speaker 1 (57:35):
We hope, we hope that there are better days ahead
for Honduras, and our expectation is if the voters there
make a different decision that indeed there will be better
days ahead.
Speaker 2 (57:45):
This all the time we have.
Speaker 1 (57:46):
We're sorry, Colvid Bertrande will have to have you back
on to talk more about the upcoming election in Honduras
and your concerns about foreign meddling and interference.
Speaker 2 (57:54):
Thanks for joining the program.
Speaker 21 (57:55):
Thank you for this space, and we hope that's all
the time we have the attention of the United States
on the next elections.
Speaker 2 (58:02):
Thank you.
