Speaker 1 (00:00):
Sharia law may be on the march in the United States,
and we're not just talking about the election results. Plus,
Laura Logan is here to give us the latest on
the persecution of Christians in Nigeria. Cliff Maloney will explain
the election results to all of us. Texas Congressman Chip
Roy will bring us up to speed on everything going
on with the government shutdown. And there's even a controversy
(00:21):
in the Miss Universe pageant.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
You know we're going to cover that. It's all next
to the Matt Gates Show. Let's do this shaking up Washington,
d C. We're breaking the fever. You haven't watch this
guy on television.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
It's like a machine.
Speaker 4 (00:35):
He's great.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Matt Gates.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
As we join you this evening, we are on assignment
and following an increasing concern in this country sharia law.
It is political Islam, and in some places people believe
that it is a form of governance that can dictate
how people live their lives. We've seen this in places
where you've had a large influx of immigrants who saw
to set up an unassimilated society and basically live by
(01:04):
their own rules. We saw a report from this on
CBN and wanted to share it with you.
Speaker 5 (01:08):
The a Mom at the Mosque and three other Muslim
judges are planning to bypass the traditional courts of Texas
to handle cases on their own. They'll deal with things
like divorce and business disputes. Opponents of Sharia law caution
that allowing Sharia courts to operate in the US allows
Islamic law to replace US law. It mainly to the
creation of Islamic enclaves within the US and will undermine
(01:30):
the established US rights of some of the victims.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Islamic law replacing US law, I don't think anyone signed
up for that.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
We certainly didn't vote for it if you don't live
in New York.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
But we are seeing now more and more speak out
against it, and we think that's important. Texas Congressman Chip
Roy is running for Attorney General of Texas. He shared
this video to urge Texans to oppose the establishment of
this Islamic law.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
We're done hiding, We're done, We're done being tortured and
hurt and judged. This is the correct religion, this is
the religion that.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
All of humanity needs to be a part of Islam,
and we will not stop.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
Until it enters every hole.
Speaker 6 (02:14):
Ni la hellalah, every house.
Speaker 7 (02:19):
So know this that Islam will enter every house.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Don't worry about islamophobe.
Speaker 8 (02:25):
They can yap all they want that children will be Muslim.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
This is why he would say to pour all of
your child all of your chants, and all of your
shouts upon the head of America.
Speaker 9 (02:38):
We want American housing recede in the world. I say
this to American Muslims.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Over time, Jane is coming to America.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
This is the soft Islamic conquest of the West.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
Congressman Chip Roy will be here in moments to talk
about his plan to defeat this effort in Texas and
around the country. He'll also talk about his plans regarding
the shutdown. There are efforts by Democrats to get to
the negotiating table, but the election this week may have
changed the calculus. Members of House Republican leadership held a
press conference today. Here's what they had to say.
Speaker 10 (03:12):
The sole reason for the entire federal government being shut
down now, the sole reason for all the American people
suffering all this pain and hardship, is because of the
fear of political retribution from the far left activists to
run the Democrat Party.
Speaker 11 (03:26):
If this shutdown has taught us anything, it's that the
Democrats will willingly inflict pain on the American people if
they think it gives them political leverage.
Speaker 12 (03:36):
They're asking for one point five trillion in wasteful spending
and a painful shutdown, a shutdown that has denied food
assistance to forty two million American.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Families now because Democrats haven't gotten what they've wanted in
every circumstance, it's had real consequences, and we're starting to
see those now in air travel in this country. We
have a former commercial aviation pilot, Dave Shol on the
program recently, and he warned early in the shutdown what
might happen.
Speaker 13 (04:08):
We were seeing controllers already worked as much as they
could possibly be worked mandatory over time. They were seeing
six apps, you know, six day a week was the
norm for their duty week. So now you throw in
the fact that we have a government shutdown, we're asking
a lot of these individuals. And I'm amazed that the
system has worked as well as it has up till now.
(04:31):
But what we're seeing, like we saw in twenty eighteen,
fifteen to twenty percent increase in sickouts, and that's normal.
Speaker 6 (04:39):
These people are stressed.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Now that prediction that you heard here on this program
at the beginning of the shutdown has borne out to
be true. Just listen to Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy
describe what air travel looks like in the United States today.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
These are unusual times.
Speaker 14 (04:56):
Those who come to work, they're working longer hours, they're
working more days, and that's some of the pressure that
we're seeing on them, and we want to alleviate that pressure.
It's going to lead to more cancelations.
Speaker 11 (05:07):
Bit if the pressures continue to build through the shutdown,
additional measures will be necessary.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
President Trump seems to get it. He weighed in with
a post on truth Social indicating that we have three
great years ahead if the Senate will get rid of
the filibuster for the purpose of reopening the government.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
President Trump understanding where the American people are.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
Texas Congressman and Republican candidate for Attorney General of Texas,
Chip Roy joins us. Now, So, Chip, I want to
get to everything going on on Capitol Hill. But first,
our viewers have been increasingly concerned about this rise in
sharia law around the country. As a governing philosophy. What
can you tell us about what's happening in Texas.
Speaker 8 (05:51):
Yeah, well, obviously yesterday's election in mom Donna in New
York is a not just a bellweather Matt. I think
it's actually just an indicative that our country's on fire
right now. It's Dearborn, it's Minneapolis, and then yes, Texas.
If you listen to the people who know what's going
on in London and Paris, and they talk to the
Muslim Brotherhood and they get intelligence, they'll tell you that
Dallas is considered the epicenter of the Islamification of the
(06:14):
Western hemisphere. There's a significant number of individuals and this
goes way back right you know the Holy Land Foundation case.
You know that there's all these examples. There's three hundred
mosques in Texas. There's more mosque going up every day
in Texas than any other state in the Union. You've
got to moms that are going around and threatening folks
so based on what food's on their shelves and so forth.
And then you've got this issue with Epic City and Plano,
(06:35):
the East Plano Islamic Center, whereas a four hundred acre
campus that was going to be set aside predominantly or
entirely for Sharia adherent Muslims, and so there's a lot
of issues going on here. But we've just got to
recognize what's happening and address it and deal with it
with our laws, and recognize that Sharia is unconstitutional and
inconsistent with the rule of law in the United States.
(06:55):
And so I've introduced legislation along those lines. CARE is
active in Texas. I introduced legislation to take away the
C three status from CARE. The Council for Arib Islamic Relations,
which has known affiliations with Terris, was applauding the October
seventh attacks on Israel. And I think we've got to
get real about what's happening in America.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Why is Texas the epicenter for this movement.
Speaker 8 (07:20):
Well, I think first of all, they know that if
they can get a strongholder, a foothold in Texas, that
that's going to be really devastating for the country. And
there's a you know, look, we've had a lot of
importation of people into this country that was a national problem,
both illegal immigration and importantly legal immigration, which was being
stretched and used by corporations. You know, it Matt, You
and I talked about this a lot in Congress about
(07:42):
how we've had too much corporate power, corporate boardrooms that
were driving the decision making among elected officials, Democrats and
Republicans both. And so we've had this mass influx of
people with a cultural change, with no assimilation, and frankly
now a bunch of people who don't want to assimilate
and purposely want to undermine our value in Western civilizations.
So Texas is front and center because we've had so
(08:03):
much growth, so many people that have come here, and
that population is growing, and it's become a real issue.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
I am wondering what could the Attorney General of Texas
do to ensure that this doesn't become a governing philosophy
like some super homeowners association that chops your hands off.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (08:23):
I mean, first of all, the current Attorney General, Ken
Pax has been doing good work on that and doing investigations.
Highlighted I think it was yesterday that Epic City and
the people involved with it it might be and likely
are viol violating securities laws. We've got the ability of
the Attorney General to use the bully pulpit to shine
a light on it. To go out and talk about
it and to bring attention to it. But also we've
(08:45):
got additional legislation the legislature has provided and there are
things that you can do under the Deceptive Trade Practices Act,
as I just noted securities laws and other things that
you can do to enforce. But importantly, and this is
the most important part, Matt, You've got to be willing
to stand up and look my background as the chairman
the Subcommittee on the Constitution. I'm a lawyer that's been
involved with the constitutional issues. I'm the former first Assistant
(09:05):
Attorney General. I know these issues. You've got to be
willing to point out that it is inconsistent with the
rule of law and the constitution for sharia to exist
in the first place. And you've got to be willing
to go argue that. And the Attorney General has a
strong position to do that, to defend the laws of
Texas and to ensure that these kinds of places don't
take root.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
Let's get to Capitol Hill and the current shutdown negotiations.
Democrats are requesting a meeting. It looks like a number
of Republican appropriators in the Senate are trying to structure
a strategy that passes the House considuing resolution and then
conducts a number of bipartisan minibus bills, which sounds terrible
to me. What can you tell us about the current
(09:46):
state of play.
Speaker 8 (09:47):
Well, let's start with the positive, and that is, you know,
I believe that Republicans have done a good job holding
the line when Democrats are playing politics. Obviously, Democrats think
they've gotten the upper hand with the elections that occurred yesterday,
and there are myriad factors in involved in those elections.
But I think we need to hold the line and
make the case to the American people that we're doing
the work they sent us there to do, to hold
spending in check, to deliver on the issues they care about.
(10:10):
All the stuff President Trump is doing, securing the border,
you know, fixing our military, rooting out all the woke
nonsense and making it a great military again, brokering peace deals,
you know, trying to get us out of endless wars.
All of the things that the president's doing. We've got
to speak out on those, and people believe in us.
But on this particular issue, you know it, Well, there's
a cadre of moderates who want us to find a
(10:31):
way to go cut some sort of a deal, and
they want an omnibus, whether it's in December or whenever
they can get it. I think the good news is,
you know, we've fought hard for regular order and appropriations
bills to do our work the way we're supposed to.
I think we're going to get three appropriations bills passed,
hopefully at current spending levels, which would be a win
with a CR hopefully in the next year. But I'm
(10:53):
not sure. Because we had that we thought lined up,
Democrats are now kind of feeling a little bit of
winding their sales and they're trying to block republic I
think tomorrow they're going to block such a bill, a
bill that would get the CR into January on the
back of three approbed bills that they've kind of worked
together into a package. So I think Democrats are going
to block that and headed into the weekend and they're
(11:13):
going to want to kind of go demand other things
like reductions in the riffs that russ Vote and President
Trump were carrying out, and the other things that they
were doing that were good stuff. So Republicans ought to
hold the line. Frankly, I'd go the other way I'd
send a cr through the end of the year with
a Save Act to guarantee only citizens can vote, and
I'd shove it down their throat personally.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
Now, you mentioned the Democrat wish list and what else
is on it? This started because they wanted a one
point five trillion in additional funding to go into the
Medicaid program in Blue state, so that illegal aliens could.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
Get more healthcare funded by the rest of us.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
But what can you give us a fullsome list of
what the demands are at this stage of the game.
Speaker 8 (11:54):
Yeah, Well, they're saying that they'll do it if we
undo some of the riffs, right, the firings of bureaucrats
that were occurring in the prioritization.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
This is all about hold on, hold on, hold on
hip wait, hold on.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
So, just so I understand this, Democrats are saying that
they're going to keep not paying people that are currently
working until you guys agree to rehire people who've been
cut because they aren't as necessary.
Speaker 8 (12:19):
Is that really where we got Yeah, that's where Democrats
are in addition to what you articulated, which thank you
for saying it that way, about how they want more
money to medicaid to then backdoor into illegal aliens. They
definitely want to try to get that. I think they're
trying to figure out a system where they can get
a few bites at the apple. They're now interested in
short term little crs so they can keep leveraging it
(12:42):
to try to keep getting negotiated packages. That's why we
took the position conservatives that we want to have a
CR well into next year, if not past the election,
and get President Trump and Russ Bot and those guys
a lot of leg room to keep doing what they
need to do using recisions and to prioritize spending the
right way. But we'll see what happens over the next
seventy two hours. And you know, thankfully we've been holding
(13:04):
the line pretty well, but the moderates are starting to
get restless, and you know how that goes.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
Yeah, holding the line at the Biden spending levels, isn't it?
I know you would cut far more of It's pathetic
that that's like the Republican win is what Joe Biden
did to the country Before I let you go, Chip,
you are a vary astute observer of politics, and I've
had people come on my program and really lament the
election results from earlier in the week and say that
this is like a crumbling Maga coalition. I just don't
(13:33):
see it that way. I see the Democrats held serve
when some series got about the same percentage of the
vote in the Commonwealth of Virginia that President Trump did. Like,
are you panicking as a result of these election results
or what's your principal takeaway?
Speaker 8 (13:47):
Yeah, no, not at all. I mean, here's my take
I think that these were predictable results. Like New York is,
you know, was gone and it was heading that way.
It was clear Mount Donnie was likely going to win
New Jersey. The polls, I think were a little bit
you know, people wishing for an outcome, and it's a
liberal state, and then northern Virginia is just a cesspool
that is infiltrated by the swamp, so Virginia is over
(14:09):
the edge as well. So we knew this was likely
going to be the outcome. But here's the thing I
do think is important. I do think it's a wake
up call that Republicans brand is not as strong as
the President's brand and MAGA brand, right, So Republicans need
to advance the agenda, get right up in alongside the president.
We did a pretty good job of the big beautiful bill,
but it took a lot of a long slog. Let's
(14:31):
get in there and let's advance the agenda. Let's pass
the save back like we did. Let's pass HR two
to secure the border and codify President Trump's orders. Let's
move something to provide health care freedom. Let's ban congressional
stock trading and members of Congress, why don't we pass that.
Let's get active and pass some things alongside the president
and give people fuel to want to elect Republicans next year.
(14:53):
If we do that, we'll do well. If we sit
back and go, oh, it's an electioneer, then we're not
going to do as well.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Texas Congressmanship Roy, he's running for Attorney General of Texas.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
We appreciate you coming on the program and sharing your perspective.

Speaker 15 (18:22):
Kidding Christmas in Natellia.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
Genocide of Christians in Nigeria, it's just awful. President Trump
weighed in and drue attention to the matter.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
If the Nigerian government continues to allow the killing of Christians,
the USA will immediately stop all aid in assistance to Nigeria.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
We're going to do.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
Things to Nigeria that Nigeria is not going to be
happy about and may very well go into that now
disgrace country. Guns are blazing to completely wipe out the
Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible, horrible atrocities. I'm
here by instructing our Department of War to prepare for
possible action. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious
(19:07):
and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our cherished Christians.
These are cherished people, these are great people. Leave them alone.
Warning the Nigerian government better move fast before it's too late.
If they don't, this is going to be held to pay.
Speaker 1 (19:24):
Joining us now the host of Going Road with Lara Logan,
our good friend Laara Logan, thank you for coming on
the program. Update us on what's happening to Christians in Nigeria.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
Well, unfortunately, Matt, they've been subjected to the same thing
that people here in this country have been subjected to,
where whereas they have a press call that lives in
this big cities and parents the lives of the government
and at the same time, of course, the cover given
for that by the US State Department. What do I mean, Well,
what's been happening to Christians in Nigeria for the past
(19:55):
just over twenty years, actually since the day of nine
to eleven, is that these are the This is a
country that is divided Muslim north, Christian south right and
in the north at the southern end of the north,
so bordering the Christian south, there are all these isolated
rural villages that are Christian. And what has been happening
is that literally on the day of nine to eleven,
(20:17):
the same people that you know fleute those planes into
the twin towers that were yelling Alahuakbar and carrying the
flag of al Qaeda. Well, they went into a village
called Ramkun in northern Nigeria and they killed over two
hundred Christians and they renamed that village Mahannga the watch
(20:37):
Tower because it became the command and control hub for
the genocide of Christians across these rural, isolated rural villages
in northern Nigeria. And so you know, there's no Second
Amendment in Nigeria. So what has been happening for the
past just over twenty years is that in the middle
of the night, in the middle of the day, whenever
(20:58):
they want to, these huge gangs, some of them on
the back of motorbikes, some of them on foot they
come and that these are Islamic militants. They yell a
lauakba as they murder people. In one of the more
recent attacks in the market, they made the women and
children go into these cages where they house animals to
(21:19):
sell and they burned them alive. They were in fact
burned so badly that the corpses melted into each other,
and so you know, there's no way for these people
to protect themselves. The Nigerian government denies that this is happening.
The US State Department has blamed this for decades on
climate change. For the past two decades they've said it's
(21:39):
because of climate change, and that's because one of these
Islamic groups is a tribe called the Flani tribe and
they're nomadic herdsman. So the State Department said that climate
change was forcing them to move south and that was
bringing them into these Christian villages and that was, you know,
causing the conflict. It is the most discussed reprehensible thing
(22:02):
that you could do to people when they have been
killed in the tens of thousands year after year, and
to say to deny the fact that this is ideological war,
that this is Islamic militants when they're yelling a la
wakbah right as they're murdering people, as they're cutting the
babies out of pregnant women. Okay, I have videos and photographs.
(22:25):
I've been covering this for years now. There is an
amazing group of frontline journalists in these villages. They're called
They're now Truth Nigeria. There were Rural Watch when they
started out, Lawrence Zongo, Masara, kim Lukabinayat. These are extraordinary
people who live in these villages. They witness these killings,
they document them, only to have the United States and
(22:48):
the government in Nigeria deny that this is exactly what
it is. And Matt, you know, there's been a lot
of conversation about whether or not this is a genocide.
You know, it was this gusted to see that El
Jazeera came out and said this is not a genocide.
The reason this is a genocide is because it's number one,
it's systematic, it's not random. They occupied the high ground,
(23:11):
this village a Ramkun that became a hunger. They use
that as a forward operating base and then they never
you know that when that was attacked, not one Christian
was ever allowed to set foot in that village ever again.
And also these villages are so isolated that once a year,
when the crops mature and they harvest them, that is
(23:32):
how they live for the whole year. These people, I mean,
these people live in poverty. Okay, these are this is
the most simple basic life that you can ever have.
So when your crops are burned down or just off
just before or just after the harvest, that is done
deliberately so that you have no means to survive. So
they're taking away your means of production, your means of survival.
(23:54):
And then what they're doing is coming in the middle
of the night with bulldozers and you know, and the equipment,
and they're destroying all the houses and the churches. And
so this is systematic elimination of Christians on the land.
They want them absolutely gone. They don't want one single
Christian left alive in those villages or left living in
(24:17):
those villages.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
That is the definition of genocide.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
And when one group of people is trying to kill
or extinguish or move an entire group of other people
because they have some view of religious supremacy over the
folks who are there. Now we view that as genocide,
whether we observe that in Africa or the Middle East
or any other part of the world. President Trump is
(24:44):
putting pressure now on the Nigerian government. He's not taking
the view that the Biden State Department did. If the
Nigerian government wanted to stop these killings, could they.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
That's a really important question. Actually. So there's a a
couple of things the Nigerian government have done that demonstrate
that they don't have the will to stop these killings.
So the first thing you have to have is the will,
right because if you don't want to, if you don't
even try, you're never going to do it. So one
of the things they do they first they deny it
in the media and the press. Then when they had
(25:16):
camps of people that were internally displaced, they erased those camps.
I even spoke to people, you know, aid groups that
were trying to give aid to the IDPs. And when
they try to do that, you can't do it if
the government denies that they're even there. And then because
there was so much evidence of the camps and all
these people, the government got rid of the camps, shut
(25:36):
them down and forced people to go and company in
other people's homes, you know, poor villages already taking other
poor people in because they've lost everything. And the other
thing that they're doing is when the army is outside
of these villages or nearby, they and they get warned,
they're warned that there is intelligence. People hear about it.
They report that there's going to be an attack. The
(25:58):
army either ignores it or they wait till it's over
before they come in. So they allow these killings to happen.
And then on top of that, they don't prosecute anybody
for them. So, you know, could the Nigerian government stop
it if they wanted to, Well, they sure as hell
could make a huge difference if they tried, But they've
never even tried. That's one thing. And that there's something
(26:18):
else I want to share with you that people are
not aware of. You know, a lot of people will
think this is something happening on the other side of
the world. This is Africa, this is Nigeria. Why do
I have to care? Well, if you go back, this
extends before the Biden administration to the Obama administration. When
Obama was in power, he never visited Nigeria. Now in Africa,
(26:39):
you know, Nigeria is the most populous nation. It's enormous
population and it's strategically very significant. So it was odd
that the first you know, sort of African black president
of the United States never went there. Instead, he sent
his Secretary of State, John Kerry, but he waited until
his second term. Okay, was during the election. So there
(27:02):
was a Christian president in power. His name was good
Luck Jonathan. He was running for reelection. Well you would
think Christian president, Christian nation, Obama, you know, the United
States is going to back him, right, No, instead he
backed who a man called Mohammad Bohari, who was the
Islamic challenger to the presidency. Right, he had already conducted
(27:23):
a coup in previous years, so he wasn't known for
his you know, super pro democracy, pro freedom stand on anything.
So it was an odd choice. And not only did
he did, the Obama administration backed the Islamic candidate, but
when John Carey came during the presidential election, he came
to Nigeria. You know where he went. He did not
(27:45):
go to Abuja, the capital of the country in the south,
in the Christian South. He instead went to a place
Sokoto in the north. Which was the original capital of
the Islamic Caliphate that was established in the north of
Nigeria under the caliph Osman Bunfodio many many years ago.
(28:06):
So we made a big statement by going to the
Islamic the Muslim capital. And then just to finish this off,
one of his campaign advisors was none of the than
David Axelrod.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
Oh my gosh, Well, it shows when we get involved
there in the wrong places, it has very tragic consequences.
We're grateful that you continue to cover the plight of
these folks who are being systemically exterminated. Laura Logan, the
host of the Going Rod podcast. The Going Rogue Podcast

Speaker 1 (31:10):
What happened in the elections earlier this week, Democrats had
a clean sweep, but we're not entirely sure that that
means that there's some blue wave coming. House Speaker Mike
Johnson had a very optimistic view of Republican prospects in
the upcoming midterms.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
Take a listen.
Speaker 10 (31:25):
When I say I'm bullish about the midterms, we absolutely are,
and there's a lot of reasons for that. This is
not groundless optimism. It's based on facts. The reason we're
in such a great position is because we are united,
and while the Democrats engage in their emerging civil war,
Republicans are going to continue to work and deliver for
all the new voters that we brought into the party,
(31:47):
and last fall in twenty twenty four, you have hundreds
of thousands of new young people weekly coming.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
Into the movement.
Speaker 10 (31:53):
That are enthusiastic young conservatives who are looking for truth,
who believe in America's founding principles, and who want to
be engaged, and they will be engaged in next year's midterms.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
It sounds like Speaker Johnson is really relying on young
voters to propel Republicans to success. And when we think
about young voters on the political right, we check in
with the leadership at Turning Point USA, Andrew Colvitt and
Tyler Bauer had a very different perspective on where young
voters are right now.
Speaker 10 (32:24):
Take listen, the economy for people under thirty is catastrophic.
Hiring for entry level positions in the US is horrible
right now.
Speaker 7 (32:33):
Well, in a lot of that, you're seeing the average age,
the average age of a first time home buyer is
over is just eclipsed forty years old.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
That's gone up I.
Speaker 7 (32:42):
Think nine years or something or seven years in like.
Speaker 16 (32:46):
Five years total. In most states, you cannot win an
election if you lose the under forty vo You just
that the entire electorate has shifted. It is millennial heavy.
If you are losing it by double digits the millennial vote,
you will lose every election.
Speaker 7 (33:02):
Do you have to pair up enthusiasm with ground game,
and when they have six thousand job postings on the
Democrat side to get out ground game and knock on doors.
That is a heck of a mountain to climb when
you're a conservatives with a low prop voting base and
an off year election. Okay, So the point is this
focus on domestic focus on policy wins. Perception is reality.
(33:26):
You have to show tell and reveal to the audience
the things that you're doing for them to make their
lives easier and better, to make them richer.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
Political strategist Cliff Maloney joins us. Now, so Cliff, what
is your reaction to these election results and where we
go from here?
Speaker 6 (33:43):
Yeah, hey, man, I appreciate you guys having me as always. Look,
this is not a good night. I think that you know,
the left obviously is going to use this to claim
it's some referendum on Trump. The reality is these were
all blue states, they were blue races, they were blue districts, right,
So you can call it a blue wall, call it
whatever you want, but I'm calling wake up call. This
is a wake up call to conservatives, especially the America
(34:04):
First movement. We're not going to have Donald Trump on
the ballot again and so getting a lot of the
voters the way the Democrats do they drive their people
to the polls. I think this is a huge wake
up call to say we need to get every Republican activated.
And just because we have the White House, just because
we have the House, we have the Senate, it's not enough.
And I don't really know the solution other than to
(34:26):
say we have to take the left's tactics and Republicans
have to activate. That's the challenge we have in front
of us heading into twenty twenty six.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
What did you see as the principal things that would
get these low and no propensity voters that you focus
on to actually return those ballots.
Speaker 6 (34:47):
Yeah, I mean, listen, let me start with what the
left did right, and then I'll talk about what we
saw that worked on the right. I mean the left,
it was very simple. You know what was listen, Donald
Trump is the devil. This is pushing back on Donald Trump.
And I just thought eventually this messaging would stop working.
Obviously I was wrong. I mean, you feel at the
New Jersey raised, I mean, she got almost five hundred
(35:08):
thousand more votes than four years ago. Five hundred thousand, Matt, right,
So they're obviously motivated on the right. A lot of
the problems we were having is that when we would
talk to people, if they were plugged in, they were
watching shows like yours and following what's actually happening in
the country, they were very willing to vote right. They
were getting their bowing in asap. The problem was when
(35:29):
we talk to people, and this is something that happened
a lot more than I'd like to admit, Matt. We
would go to somebody's door and they would have a
Donald Trump sign in their yard. Right, they might come
to the door with the Trump twenty twenty eight shirt on,
but they're not voting now. Obviously we'd encourage them to vote,
but the tenacity isn't there, the understanding of how important
(35:51):
every single one of these elections is to helping the
Trump agenda, to helping the America First movement. We have
to double down to get these low pen city voters
that are all in. They're with us, but they're not
engaged and they don't understand that's the message. If we
can get them to understand that, I think we're going
to be fine in twenty twenty six, but it is
a tall order and we're all going to have to
(36:12):
work together to accomplish that.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
Speaker Mike Johnson is trying to encourage people through optimism,
saying there's great things ahead for young people if you
vote Republican. On the other side of the coin, we
see Steve Bannon this morning saying on his program that
if people didn't vote Republican in twenty twenty six and
twenty twenty eight, if they stayed home, they would be
large scale incarceration of the political right. What do you
(36:37):
think's going to motivate people more being scared of what
the left's gonna do or believing that there is some
great plan by electing Republicans to Congress.
Speaker 6 (36:46):
Listen, any battle where you have Steve Bannon on one
side and Mike Johnson on the other, I am going
to be with Steve Bannon one hundred percent of the time. Look,
Bannon's right, and he gets what motivates voters, and it's
the truth, right, It's not hyperbole.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
Right. I've been through it. I've been through it.
Speaker 6 (37:01):
So many great patriots I know have had the justice
system thrown at them because political opponents have control. Right,
This is a battle here. This is not just an
ideological or this simple thing where we think we're going
to play niceties. No, Bannon is correct. This is about
making sure that the radical left doesn't have the ability
(37:22):
to utilize the justice system to come after their political opponents.
And I don't really think there's anything better to motivate
folks on the right that we have to take action
to protect our families, to protect our communities. I mean,
the left is still siding with illegal immigrants over American citizens.
They still think that men should be able to play
in girls' sports. Okay, they're not saying individuals on the left,
(37:46):
But if we don't react to how crazy they are
by taking these elections seriously, we're not going to have
a country. We're going to lose our republic. So I'm
one hundred percent with Bannon on this, and we need
to start motivating people based on what our opponents will do,
not just the idea of having lower taxes and these
nice things that Republicans in the Establishment of push for years.
(38:09):
That's no longer the country live in. We need to
adapt or the GOP will be a party of yesterdayar.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
I think it's a mix. I think you've got to
have some motivation.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
You provide a lot of the perspiration out there, getting
people at their doorstep to think about politics when maybe
it's not at the front of mind. And then you
have to paint a picture of what the world's going
to look like if this thing swings the other way.
We're not all that far removed from lockdowns and some
of the most tyrannical restrictions on speech and liberty. And
I think you're right, Steve Bannon is correct to point
(38:41):
it out. Cliffe Maloney political strategist, one of the very
best operatives we have in this movement. I appreciate you
as always for coming on and letting people know what
time it is.

Speaker 1 (42:28):
France is a country we've been following for some time
because they've made some terrible decisions. Those decisions have resulted
in the current president, Emmanuel Macrone, facing a lot of opposition,
frequent calls for his resignation, and declining popularity. They embraced
climate change, they wanted to surrender their sovereign powers to
the European Union. They allowed people to come across their
(42:49):
borders unchecked, and now France has seen a rise of
the political right.
Speaker 2 (42:54):
Enter Marie la Penne.
Speaker 1 (42:55):
She mounted several campaigns for the presidency that weren't quite successful,
but the ability to build a coalition, and now she
won't have that opportunity anymore. As the result of a
recent court decision saying that she's guilty of embezzling funds,
she's not eligible to run in the upcoming presidential contest. Now,
what is this embezzlement of public funds. Well, it's actually
(43:17):
something we see in the United States all the time.
She is alleged to have had her political staff, her
staff from the European Parliament working on electioneering and communications.
Speaker 2 (43:29):
If you just throw a rock in Washington, d C.
Speaker 1 (43:32):
At any given time, you'll probably hit a taxpayer funded
staffer who also does political work. But this is something
they've used to ensnare Marie la Penn. Now there is
a passing of the torch to a new generation of
conservative leadership in France, and we want to see how
that's going to go.
Speaker 2 (43:48):
Helen Rue is a journalist with Le Journal du Dumige
and she joins us.
Speaker 1 (43:52):
Now, Helene, what is the fate of Marie Lapenn politically
now that we've got this court ruling that she can't
be a candidate for the president's Hello, thanks.
Speaker 17 (44:02):
For having me here. Well, the situation in France is
really complicated for now. So margin Lupin has been sentenced
by the criminal court to a really big heavy penalty
for embezzlement of public funds in the European parliamentary what
we call assistants case. She was sentenced to five years
(44:24):
of immediate ineligibility. So the real important aspect is the
immediate aspect of the sentence. She is appealing. There will
be another trial in the next January, but as things stand,
she cannot run for any election right now.
Speaker 1 (44:43):
So actually, so we want to draw a bit of
a corollary to what we've seen in the United States,
where people in this country never really accepted the fact
that Donald Trump's criminal prosecutions were about an actual violation
of the law that would be prosecuted, about keeping him
off the ballot.
Speaker 2 (45:01):
And so what I'd like to understand better is how
the people of France are reacting to this. Do they
view this as a legitimate sentence?
Speaker 17 (45:09):
Well, no, because the distrust actually of the justice system
is growing bigger and bigger in France. People do not
understand the immediate aspect of the decision. And also that
there was another example in France, a really recent one
that people that French people did not understand. It was
that the justice system right now in France in prisons
(45:32):
former presidents like Nicola Sarcusi from for a criminal conspiracy
even though he has been acquitted of these of these
charges of said conspiracy. And well, in France today, so
we live in a country where justice system imprisoned former
presidents and where they could prevent the main opposition leader,
she is married in Lapen and head of France's largest party,
(45:55):
from running for office. And I think no, the French
people don't understand the decision, and this just increases the
French people distrust of the justice system.
Speaker 1 (46:06):
That's exactly what happened in the United States when we
saw criminal process misused. Then people were more receptive to
President Trump's message. So that leads us to a really
important question, where is the political.
Speaker 2 (46:19):
Right right now in France?
Speaker 1 (46:21):
Is Jordan Bordella someone who can pick up this mantle
and mount a successful campaign? Do you think it'll be
unified because Marie La Penn had been the center of
this movement for so long.
Speaker 9 (46:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 17 (46:34):
Well, I would like also to say that the story
is not over. If not in the Pen is unable
to run.
Speaker 2 (46:41):
You said it.
Speaker 17 (46:41):
The current party president, Jaldn Baldela, will very likely be
the candidate, just so you know. So he was born
in nineteen ninety five, he's quite young, he had the
meteoric rise, and he is currently pulling This is where
it gets really interesting. He's currently pulling between thirty five
and thirty seven seven point five percent in the first
(47:02):
round for the next presidential election, twenty points above the
centrist candidate Edward Philip. He is second in line. So
right now Jodan Badela fully supports Marie lupin'z manu Pen,
but for now the party hopes that she will become president.
He will become the prime minister. But if the court
prevent Mariin Lupin from running, of course the natural candidate
(47:26):
for France's leading opposition party will be We're probably be him,
and the polls indicate are very very good results. And
also I just wanted to add in the justice system,
I think something that could really help was if these justices,
if these people actually explain their decision. They never do,
(47:48):
They never explain why they decided this, and I think
this will also help the people to better understand this
decision instead of just getting angry.
Speaker 1 (48:01):
When we think about France politically, in the United States,
we see a country that has surrendered to globalism, a
country that has allowed open borders and has been overrun
by Africans fleeing all kinds of bad things that happen
in Africa. And we also see a socialist economic policy
that allows people to live on the largesse of government,
(48:21):
and it's not far from being a failed state if
it continues down this path, and we hope it doesn't.
Maybe talk us through what would be the major change
in policy in France if the political right were to
unite behind Jordan and see his campaign to success.
Speaker 17 (48:39):
Well, I think that the main there are two things
that French people are really expecting, and that's why Jordan,
Babyla and Marin Leapin are so high in the pulls.
You said it, it's a real change for one insecurity,
in the immigration policies and also for will people's salaries
(49:01):
just to go up because there are a lot of
French people that are getting poorer and poorer, and this
is also one of the reasons why they are voting
and they want to vote for Jadin baldileas party. So
I think the main changes will be security, immigration and
also the salary is getting up. You said it, Yes,
(49:23):
you weckids say that Friends today is really like is
a globalist country. You also have to know that right
now Emmanuel Macon's popularity is just catastrophic in the latest studies.
Actually he has a sixteen percent popularity. He's never been
(49:44):
that low. And yes, a lot of opposition parties are
expecting or asking for him to resign before the next
presidential mission. But maybe with the Socialist.
Speaker 2 (49:57):
Something it does.
Speaker 1 (50:00):
It does look like something we're going to continue to
follow with a lot of moving parts. But I think
it is an important lesson for the United States to
see what happens when you embrace some of these policies.
Speaker 2 (50:10):
Helene Rue, a journalist for Leisure.
Speaker 1 (50:12):
Nald Dumange, thank you as always for coming on the
program and sharing your perspective.
Speaker 17 (50:17):
Thank you very much.
Speaker 1 (50:20):
And coming up, there is big drama at the Miss
Universe pageant where a very mean person said some things
that ultimately resulted in him having to issue a tear
filled apology. Will tell you all about it next.
Speaker 9 (50:39):
Hey everyone, here's a question for you. What does Roku TV,
Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV all have in common?

Ever, the Miss Universe pageant is and everyone excited. It
was held in Thailand, and we got a viral video out.
Speaker 2 (52:59):
Of the pageant.
Speaker 1 (52:59):
But it wasn't from the evening gown section of the presentation,
and it wasn't even a terrible answer from one of
the contestants. It was one of the organizers. And when
you look behind the curtain, this is how they were
actually treating people.
Speaker 2 (53:13):
Take a listen, Mexico, where are you.
Speaker 6 (53:17):
Okay?
Speaker 13 (53:19):
You follow the order of your national director.
Speaker 3 (53:24):
I still talking, I still keep talking to everybody.
Speaker 17 (53:29):
Why is it that have to talk to me?
Speaker 16 (53:35):
So continue?
Speaker 14 (53:42):
What just your director did?
Speaker 3 (53:44):
It's not respectful.
Speaker 13 (53:45):
He called me so because he had problems with the organization.
Speaker 1 (53:52):
That wasn't the nicest way to talk to your co workers,
and it ultimately got out, got viral and led to
this tear filled apology. Nikki Abut is an editor at
(54:16):
EV magazine. They've been all over the story and Nikki
joins us now, so I'm trying to understand. Are the
contestants at Miss Universe treated like this regularly and this
only went viral because it was caught on a recording
or was this some sort of aboriginal behavior.
Speaker 18 (54:34):
I would say historically, I think this is, unfortunately, not
something that is rare that happens in the pageant world.
I believe last year there was some christic posts sent
on Instagram by some contestants saying that they were being
mistreated by certain executives, not the same ones. There have
been reports of uh contestants even being told to like strip,
(55:01):
So this is not Unfortunately, this is not something that
is rare. I believe that this instance has gone incredibly
viral because you're right, this was the first time that
something like this has been caught on camera. I think
a lot of these moments are you know, they happen
behind closed doors and what's crazy about this? And I
did not note this until I read this on a report.
(55:21):
He decided Na wat which is the executive director for
the Miss Universe organization, he was actually live streaming this
on Facebook for thousands and thousands.
Speaker 3 (55:32):
Of people to view.
Speaker 18 (55:33):
So it kind of makes you wonder if he is
comfortable doing this in front of everyone on the internet,
in front of these contestants and his staff. What is
he comfortable saying and doing behind closed doors.
Speaker 1 (55:49):
I'm really proud of the women who spoke up and
really made their voice heard and express displeasure with the
way they were being treated. Do you think that Thailand
is likely to lose the Miss Universe pageant based on
the close cooperation between their government and the organizers who
are behaving this way.
Speaker 18 (56:07):
I would, you know, certainly hope that Miss Thailand is
not affected, but you have to think of the Miss
Universe organization as a business, and unfortunately, Miss Thailand winning
is not going to look good for the organization at all.
So I would not be surprised if Miss Thailand is
(56:28):
affected by this. And it's not her fault. It is
the executive director of Thailand who decided to go on
this terrade against Miss Mexico. So it is unfortunate for her,
But I just don't think in the long term this
is going to look good for her in the upcoming competition.
Speaker 1 (56:48):
Which is so unfair and pageants have been memed And
I just wonder now, as you cover this, and as
you're following this story, what role do you think the
Miss Universe pageant has in culture and society globally, I.
Speaker 18 (57:03):
Actually think they're incredibly influential. I know that a lot
of people make fun of pageants, and on both sides,
really conservatives will say that, oh, you know, it's kind
of like sexualization of these women when they're going out
in bikinis. On the liberal side it's like, oh, it's
this ejectification of women. But if you actually take the
time to watch it and you turn it on, a
lot of these women, especially during the interview segment, they
(57:25):
want to talk about how they can better their community,
how much they care for their country, how much they
care for women's rights. So I think it's incredibly inspirational
for viewers, and I think that Miss Universe in general
has a global fan base. It's watched in the US,
(57:48):
it's huge in Asia, people in Europe are watching it.
And so now that these women are deciding to speak
up for themselves, I actually am pretty positive that hopefully
the pageant itself is moving in a positive direction, and
them standing up to support Miss Mexico is actually proof
(58:10):
that they are going to practice what they preach.
Speaker 2 (58:16):
And look.
Speaker 1 (58:17):
I view pageants as an expression of excellence, and we're
always for that because too often elements of society and
culture want us to accept something less mediocrity, except a
lower version of ourselves our country. And I just think
when very talented, very gifted, very genetically gifted people are
able to present excellence, it's something that ought to be enjoyed.
(58:40):
And I don't think there's anything really political.
Speaker 2 (58:42):
About that at all.
Speaker 1 (58:43):
And I hope that these pageant contestants get treated better
because getting yelled at by an angry Asian man is
no way to go through a pageant. But we appreciate
you covering it at the magazine. Nikki y Butt, thanks
for being on the program with us this evening.
