Today, my special guest is mydaughter, Sophie.

So Sophie, what is yourfavourite thing about being
seven?

Sophie (00:13):
I get to go in the pool by myself now.

Anne (00:17):
Oh, that is a good one.
What do you think my job is?

Sophie (00:21):
You have lots of people that work with you.
Yeah.
You do stuff like gymnastics?

Anne (00:27):
What do I do with those people?

Sophie (00:29):
You exercise?

Anne (00:30):
I do exercise, yeah.
Do you think I help people?
Yeah.
If you could invent a newholiday, what would it be?

Sophie (00:35):
Hmm.

Animal Day.
Oh, okay.
What would we do on animal day?

You would celebrate animals by picking up garbage.
And, if you have a pet, youwould give them some kind of
present.

Oh, I love that idea.

Yeah.

Okay, Sophie, what's your favourite food to eat?

Sometimes macaroni, sometimes quesadillas.
If it's in the morning, oatmeal,waffles, or pancakes,

eggs.

Sophie (01:03):
For lunch, probably peanut butter and jam, or
grilled cheese.

Anne (01:07):
What do I eat all the time?

Sophie (01:08):
Scrambled

eggs.

And spinach.

What's your favourite food tomake With me together?

Hmm.
That's hard Cookies.

We made tzatziki.

Oh yeah, we did make tzatziki.

What does eating healthy mean to you?

Sophie (01:23):
Eating strawberries, blueberries, cucumbers,
broccoli.

Anne (01:29):
If you could make up a new rule about food, what would it
be?

Sophie (01:33):
You could choose if you want to use a fork or a spoon or
your ham.

Anne (01:38):
Okay.
That's a good rule.
Um, have you ever heard anybodysay something about food that
didn't make sense to you?

Sophie (01:44):
No.

Anne (01:44):
How do you feel after you eat a really good meal?

Sophie (01:47):
Happy.

Anne (01:48):
Yeah?

Sophie (01:49):
If it's the opposite, then sad.

Anne (01:51):
What's your favorite way to move your body?

Sophie (01:53):
Usually running around.
He usually hangs upside down.
He goes outside with me.

If we could do any fun activity together, what would it

Art.

Or Lego.

What is something that you're really proud of?

Sophie (02:19):
How good I am at drawing.

Anne (02:21):
Yes!

Sophie (02:22):
Building in Minecraft and building Lego.

Anne (02:25):
Yes, I'm proud of you for those things too.
What do you do when somethingfeels really hard?

Sophie (02:30):
If I'm starting something and it gets kind of
hard, I go do something else.
And then when I figure out in mymind what I'm gonna do, I'll go
back to it.

Anne (02:42):
That's a good strategy.

Sophie (02:43):
Try to do it again.

Anne (02:45):
Do you take a break?

Sophie (02:46):
Yeah.

Anne (02:46):
That's a very good strategy.
How do you manage when you feelbig emotions?

Sophie (02:51):
Like angry, mad, sad.

Anne (02:54):
What do you do?

Sophie (02:54):
Well, if I'm sad, I like hugs, watching movies.
If I'm angry or mad, I usuallyhit my pillow or scream into my
pillow.

Anne (03:06):
Yeah, I love those ideas.
How do you cheer yourself upwhen you're feeling sad?

Sophie (03:09):
I usually tell myself jokes, ask other people funny
questions and see what they sayand I might think it's funny.

Anne (03:16):
I love that idea.
What's something you love aboutyourself?
What's awesome about Sophie?

Sophie (03:21):
I love dinosaurs and dragons and, unicorns.

Anne (03:25):
So maybe you love that You're interesting.
You an interesting person.

Sophie (03:28):
Mm-hmm Okay.
Even though dinosaurs used toexist, but now they don't.
And dragons and unicorns don'texist.

Anne (03:36):
You love them anyway.
And you love that aboutyourself.
What do you love about the wayyou look?

Sophie (03:39):
I have a good nose.

Anne (03:40):
You do have a good nose.
It's a perfect nose.
It's good at smelling.
It looks great.

Sophie (03:44):

If you had a friend, who wasn't feeling happy or
confident, what would you tellthem?

Sophie (03:47):
I'd tell them a joke.
I think, have I been in thissituation before?
Has this happened to me before?
And I can help them with someadvice that I used for myself.

I love that.

I'm not sure.
