We celebrate the summer solstice as a spiritual checkpoint

• Timing of growth follows its own divine schedule, like wildflowers that bloom exactly when they're meant to
• Standing still isn't failure but necessary alignment—solstice literally means "sun standing still"
• Light reveals truth and brings clarity, washing away what no longer serves us
• Many of us dim our light to make others comfortable, disconnecting from our authentic selves
• The pause between action is where transformation often begins

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, welcome back to Transform your Life.
Just count me in.
I'm Sari, and today we'recelebrating the solstice, on the
longest day of the year.
The sun is at its highest pointand it's the culmination of
light.
This is a really sacred day andit's more than a seasonal shift
.
The summer solstice is like aspiritual checkpoint for us.

(00:24):
A seasonal shift, the summersolstice is like a spiritual
checkpoint for us.
So my clients and I have beenjust checking in, pausing and
taking a minute to reflect andstand really in the fullness of
our own light, which can beuncomfortable.
Lately we've been talking aboutthe divine timing of our growth

(00:44):
and I mean I don don't know, butI don't think that there's
anything that tells a flower.
I'm watching, I've beenwatching my flowers open up and
I think what signals them thatit's time to open the petals and
bloom.
I don't know, it's something somuch more miraculous than I can
perceive with my rational mind, but it's just, it's the earth

(01:09):
and it's the life force and it'sthe same for us.
So who knows what is coming upfor us and what time it is?
It has to be the right time inour life because it's actually
our life.
Right time in our life, becauseit's actually our life.
So I'm going to tell you that, whether you're a parent holding
space for your child, a teennavigating interchanges, or a

(01:32):
person just trying to find yournext step with me, this episode
is here to meet you in themoment you're in.
When transformation happens, itbegins by being, it begins in
being, sometimes not doing so.

(01:55):
The solstice, especially thesummer solstice, brings the
longest light, but it alsobrings a pause.
But it also brings a pause, andin ancient culture, solstice
rituals included, like bonfiresand dancing and intention
setting.
And why?
Because light reveals truth.

(02:16):
When you're standing in thepresence of something that
doesn't feel good, or a spellyou've been under, or a belief
that you've been holding that isnot correct for you, what is it
that brings clarity when welearn the truth?
The truth sets us free, andthis reminds us at this time of

(02:39):
year.
We were born to shine and I dobelieve that we are.
It is hard for people often whenthere is a pause, because it
can feel uncomfortable, likewe're kind of waiting.
We're waiting for clarity,we're waiting for a sign, we're
waiting for a shift, and then wealways have the option to go

(03:02):
between love and fear.
So which thoughts are helpingme stay aligned with love and
which thoughts are leading medown an old path.
The people I've been workingwith, some of them have made
some huge life changes in thepast I'd say month just since

(03:28):
school's been out, and theirlives just keep getting better
and better and better.
And one of them said to me it'slike it doesn't take me any
time I realize that this feelsright for me and I just do it.
I'm not overthinking anymore,I'm not anxious anymore, and
then all these good things justkeep happening and happening and

(03:49):
happening.
And I said exactly, this isexactly how it is.
So some of you are also stuck ina place where you feel like
you've been doing everythingright.
You've been doing your healing, you've been meditating, you've
been journaling, you've beenshowing up, and still you're
stuck in that waiting place.
Check out that episode.

(04:10):
It's a good one.
But you're not alone.
And here's what I want to talkto you about today.
The solstice is not just anastronomical event.
It is a spiritual threshold.
It is the moment when the sunalmost seems to stand still.

(04:30):
That's literally what solsticemeans.
Sol, which is sun, and sisteremeans to stand still.
So what if this moment isn'tabout nothing happening, but
it's actually giving your innerlight a space to realign.
In the stillness, your shiftbegins.

(04:52):
Nature, just like the flowers, doesn't rush its transitions, it
honors them.
The solstice is just a bigcosmic reminder.
Change begins in silence andlight returns slowly, very often

(05:12):
not all at once.
So I do want to share that.
There have been moments in mylife when I forgot my light and
there was a long period in mylife where I was very reliant on
trying to make other peoplefeel better about themselves,

(05:36):
because I wanted everybody to behappy and it was really
important that people liked meand I thought that I was just
too much for people and Ithought that I maybe needed to
tone it down a little bit, andthat was dimming my light, so I
might know the answer tosomething and not share it, or I

(05:58):
might have an opinion that wasdifferent than someone else's,
and even though they asked, Iwouldn't really express it.
While I didn't always take partin conversations that I didn't
feel comfortable being in thevicinity of, I didn't remove
myself the way I do now and Ikept dimming, and dimming, and

(06:20):
dimming, and I was so afraid ofshining and so afraid of being
too much, I got lost and Icouldn't really figure out who I
was, and that was pretty scary, because the bottom line is the
truth.
Truth is, every time we stepback, and every time I stepped

(06:43):
back, I was more disconnectedfrom my spirit, thank goodness.
Thank goodness I had somewake-ups and some changes and
really great teachers, reallygreat mentors, wonderful coaches
, and some changes and reallygreat teachers, really great
mentors, wonderful coaches, andsome not so, but for the most

(07:04):
part, I had people.
There was always somebody there.
Even if it was somebody that Imight just sit with and maybe
have a lunch with, I could get alot out of that conversation.
Or a book would just my eyes, would just catch a book on the
bookshelf and I would get thatbook and it would be the right
book or something would flash uplike a pop-up and it would be

(07:25):
the right, the right YouTube orthe right person to listen to.
And gradually, step by step, Ibegin to realize that I didn't
want to shrink anymore and it'slike I tell the children I'm
working with and the teens I'mworking with light up the space

(07:47):
you're in, don't shrink.
You were born to shine.
Celebrate your life.
When we talk about celebratingour lives.
Part of that has to do withlooking at what we did the last
six months since the wintersolstice, where we planted seeds

(08:09):
for all this, and what we'veovercome.
The people I've worked with haveovercome a huge amount of
self-abandonment.
They've overcome a couple ofthem, relationships that were
starting to limit themselves.
So they've overcome the beliefsthat that relationships were a

(08:29):
certain way that was not reallyin their optimal interest at
this point.
They've overcome some fearsthat they had about doing
nothing, because doing nothingis also doing something and it's
part of your own timing.
You cannot be too early or toolate in your life, because it's

(08:53):
your life.
That flower.
I planted a bunch ofwildflowers and I am just amazed
because the same type of flowerthat I planted at the same time
won't be open on a Monday, andby Wednesday there's five more
of them that have opened up.
But it doesn't really happenthat quickly, it happens slowly.

(09:15):
I guess time-lapse photographywould come in handy here.
And we are the same way, it'sthe same for us.
So what internal seeds havebegun to bloom in you?
And then think about it.

(09:37):
Why does it feel souncomfortable?
Why is the waiting fearful forus?
Are we living in fear, thatwe're waiting because we missed
the opportunity, and then again, that's fear, that's contracting
.
So go towards love.

(09:57):
So what would a thought be thatwould be a loving thought about
this weight?
Life is getting things readyexactly the way it needs to
happen for me.
What do you think of when youcelebrate your life?
It's I do a pride check-in withmy clients, and they for five

(10:21):
minutes the last five minutesonly because I noticed about 10
years ago that it's very easy.
If I ask you what do you needto work on or what's wrong, you
would easily come up with yourlist, and I would too.
And if I asked, what are youreally proud of, it would be
more like accomplishments.

(10:42):
It would be well, my kids aredoing really well.
Or my, you know my grade.
If you're a child, my gradesare good, and there wasn't a
deep sense of pride just forways that you've grown
internally.
So I wanted people to be ableto get in touch with that by

(11:03):
saying I am, because the wordswe say after I am are very
defining for us.
So I am proud of and I know itsounds funny and some of the
kids are like is it pridecheck-in time, yet now they're
really excited about it.
Now they're really excitedabout it and the adults are,
even some of them wanted tostart with pride check-in, which

(11:23):
made me feel really good thatthey're getting that comfortable
with it.
So I would say what is uniquelyradiant about you?
And if you have a hard timewith that, think about what
would somebody say about youthat loves you?
That's one that helped me getin touch with things.

(11:44):
What, if what does someone elsecomplimented you about?
And you often brush it off.
But it's really true.
And the next step with thesolstice for me is to think what
I want to bring more light toin my life and what's ready to

(12:10):
be seen in me, what's ready tobe shared through me, and what
am I ready to release or let goof.
Actually, I'll say let go ofbecause I don't want it back
again.
So what am I ready for?
It's at the highest point today, the sun, and it's the

(12:33):
culmination of light.
This is absolutely the perfecttime to commit to living fully
and unapologetically.
So here are some affirmationsthat you can try, because I
always like to give you a fewthings to try and some

(12:54):
journaling prompts.
So for journaling prompts, goahead and take out your pencil.
And where in my life do I feellike I'm standing still?
Remembering standing still isnot a bad thing.
Standing still could be gettingready for the next really great
thing to happen.
It usually is when we don'tcloud it with fear and anxiety.

(13:17):
What am I afraid will happen ifI stop pushing A really good
one for a lot of us?
How can I have more allowing inmy life?
What would it look like?
What would it mean if I trustedthis pause as a necessary part

(13:39):
of my growth?
And again, think of the flower.
I don't think the ones thathaven't bloomed are looking at
the one that bloomed saying, ohbetter, get on it, I'm behind.
I don't think so.
Think of yourself as a radiantbeing standing fully in your

(14:07):
light, a person who celebrateshow far you've come and is ready
to open up to what's next, trusting, trusting the timing of
your own growth and shiningwithout apology.
Your opinion of me, as WayneDyer points out in many of his

(14:33):
talks, your opinion of me is notreally any of my business.
That's a tough one for a lot ofus, but it's very true.
It's not technically mybusiness, it's your business.
Can you honor the quietmiracles unfolding in the unseen

(14:56):
and I wanted to share a quickone.
And it might not be a miracle, but it is definitely a
synchronicity.
We had to run to Walmart forsomething We've got our
grandkids getting ready to comevisit.
We realized that one of them ispast the weight of that's safe

(15:19):
on his life jacket.
They're coming today and wefound this out last night.
So I did a quick run to Walmartearly this morning, luckily
thank you for pickup and I alsoordered a dolphin, a little
dolphin floaty for the boys, because I thought that that
would be cute.
After I ordered and we'regetting ready to go to bed, we

(15:41):
realized that we can't find forthe life of us the little
swimmies that one of them wearsthe little water muscles and
that would be a bummer because Iknow he's going to want to hit
the pool and it's more fun.
I know he's had swimminglessons.
It's more fun if he has hisswimmies on.
We looked all over, had to goto bed because we both had to

(16:01):
get up for work today and justkind of gave up and figured well
, one of us is going to scootout to the store, we'll figure
out a way to make it work.
We live in a beach town.
I know there's swimmies.
So I get to Walmart thismorning and I picked up the
order.
They substituted the dolphinfloaty with a pair of swimmies
that are exactly the right sizeand weight for my little

(16:23):
grandson.
And I checked no substitutionsbecause I did not want the life
jacket to be substituted or theother items to be substituted.
So here it is, i's it's.
It's small, but I felt like Itexted my husband, I showed him
the picture and I said you know,we are so taken care of.
So it doesn't have to be bigthings, it can be the quiet,

(16:47):
quiet miracles in your life, thequiet synchronicities in your
life, when you trust it thatit's always going to come back
to what it needs to be in theright time.
And how do you do that?
I align with the energy oflight and truth and God and love

(17:12):
, and God and love.
So if you have a moment, take amoment and close your eyes and
you can put one hand on yourheart and one hand on your

(17:35):
stomach.
Your stomach is by the creationchakra and your heart is your
heart.
These are also your two strongforms of intelligence and you
have your mind.
So close your eyes and take abreath in.
Hold it at the top and out, anda bigger breath in.

(18:04):
Hold at the top and let it go,feeling your body relax.
Imagine the sun above you Warm, golden, steady light and feel

(18:31):
it just pouring, pouring downover your head inside, lighting
you up with that beautifulgolden light, your shoulders,
your beautiful heart.

(18:51):
Allow that light to work itsway down your arms and out your
fingers and let it fill yourstomach, go down your hips and
your legs and let it just flow, like you flicked on a switch and
this light fills you withvitality, confidence and clarity

(19:19):
.
Now you can repeat silently, silently or aloud I am light, I
am aligned, I am enough.

(19:52):
Stay here for just a few breaths, soaking it in and remember
light reveals the truth.
Light brings clarity, it washesaway everything else and it
reminds us we were born to shine.
Reminds us we were born toshine.

(20:12):
You were born to shine or youwouldn't be listening to my
