Speaker 1 (00:00):
Jesse Winter John backstage with Bad Flowery Boy Good are
you not bad? First of all, I just want to
say the La wildfires. I'm hoping your family, your friends, everybody, okay.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
I think all of our people are good everyone, but
uh yeah, it's crazy, dude, It's crazy.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
It's crazy. It's like the apocalypse. Just watching that and
then like the fire's just moving so quickly. I'm just like,
it's awful. So I hope everybody's okay that you guys know,
and yeah, it's terrible, but there's the Fiery benefit concert
that's coming up, so hopefully we'll raise some fun.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Thank you for saying something about it.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Yeah, no, I mean you can't. You can't stop thinking
about it. It's awful. So, guys, we have some new
songs before your album's coming out. We got a couple.
We got London haunting you. There's also a song, an
unreleased song that you guys have been playing live called snuff.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
This is true the facts. Wow, some people not do it.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
There just like hi, which a vivid color?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
You like green? And usually we lie about our favorite.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
You just gotta mess with them. What's the response been,
especially when you played it the first time live.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
It's been really good. People are pissed that we're not
releasing stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Because we haven't put it out yet.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Oh no, we're going to Okay, yeah, we just haven't yet,
and so we keep releasing other songs and like it's
gonna be stuff and it never is never.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah, that's awesome, all right, Detroit, we're pimping it out.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
It is so great.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
I gotta tell you. All the tweets, the comments, the
messages on social media.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Have all been about you guys.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Why not people freaking out also, like they're coming from
all over.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Just to see you, guys. We paid them a lot
to say that.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
I got the response. I'm telling you, it's been for
you guys. People are freaking pumped. Okay, so, Detroit, we
know you wrote it. Backstage in Detroit you said something
about what did you say? It was like achieving success
but not being satisfied. And then I read the lyrics
and that's very.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Pretty much on the nose.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Why what is it going through your head?

Speaker 2 (01:56):
You tell me, I don't know, it's supposed to be
fun and then ended up being it's still fun. But uh,
I think I think that the lesson there is the
journey is way more fun than getting the thing. So
if you want something really bad in life, make sure
you set your bar really high, because as.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Soon as you reach it, it's very disappointing.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
That's such a great point. Yeah, you're like, I already got it? Okay,
what's next? Like this sucks?

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Now?

Speaker 1 (02:18):
This is work all right?

Speaker 3 (02:20):
So what and nobody believes you?

Speaker 4 (02:22):
No?

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Like, how could it suck? Achieve something through that? Achieve
something amazing, and then you'll see I feel that such
underachievers criticizing our opinions. Some success, here's something, build something
for yourself.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Why don't you do something? Okay, we have the songs,
new album. What are the details? You guys don't even
have a release date yet?

Speaker 4 (02:46):
Can you just tell me?

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Come on, give me the concept of a release date. No,
we have a release a month, release date. There's a
release month for sure.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Yeah. Is this the month? So no, it's not this month? No,
thank you?

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Oh my gosh, this is gonna this.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Is it funny.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
I don't even know which months are springtime. So I
trust you.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
When that blank showers brings May April, April, April, April April,
I trust him. This is such great news.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
This is gonna go over really well in the back
reddit group that I'm in.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Everybody's gonna be.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Like, whoa, Okay, that's time we said you would think
you would.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
I'll take the dropping the ball.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
What's been the most enjoyable and most challenging thing about
putting this album together?

Speaker 2 (03:33):
God, it's been Honestly, it was really hard getting in
the same room together. Yeah, that's the hardest part states
getting in the same room together. And then for me,
I'm gonna get real for a moment. This is the
first time I ever wrote music sober really yeah, and
it wasn't I didn't do it because I was like, oh,
I just want to be you know, I'm not trying
to like wear the badge of being sober. It just

(03:54):
wasn't fun anymore. It's like the older I got, the
less fun I had doing that. And I even tried
and it didn't work. So so yeah, I had to
do a lot of what I normally do sober, which
I've never done before, and that was strange.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Yeah, but maybe good. I don't know, We're gonna see.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
I read a quote somewhere it was like, when you're
finally tired of your own that's real growth, Like you're
just talking to your own craft, like why am I drinking?

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Why am I doing this?

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Like I'm tired of my own Like yeah, real growth.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
No, that's great.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
So that was hard, Yeah, challenging and enjoyable though, right,
definitely enjoyable.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
I got a question for you. Okay, yeah, you now
we're not twinning. Okay, what what's one song on the album?
I get it. You probably can't tell me the name
unless you released it or say it. What song were
you like, oh my god, oh damn, wow, this is
so good, Like you're looking at you're listening to your

(04:49):
own work and you're like, damn, no, this is so good.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Just say it.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
Yeah, it's called What's the Point?

Speaker 1 (04:54):
What's the Boy? Do you all feel that way?

Speaker 2 (04:57):
You're like, damn, it seems that seems to be three
of our favorites, not yours necessarily.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
I really liked London's. I mean, I know it's the
one that just came out and I'm not saying it
for that reason. But then the one that has a
working title Joe Rogan, but I don't know what we're
calling it.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
On the record.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
I don't know if he's Josh decided what we're calling it.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
You got to do that.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
That's gonna I'm really throwing them off. That was just
a working title.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Okay, wait, is that really just funny? That's my least favorite.
I just liked the chorus. It felt high school nostalgia.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
It is very much said. We just leaked the track
list right now too.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Come on, I kind of already leaked a little bit
of it on Twitter. I got really frustrated, uh, like
a week ago because London came out earlier than it
was supposed to, and in my frustration, I was like,
I'm gonna lead the whole album, and I didn't. I
just took a picture of my hand covering most of
the songs, but some of them could.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Be seen people figuring out. Yeah, they figured out a
couple one click away.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
I'm gonna do it.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
I was mad. Yeah, man, all.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Right, well that's good to know. So you're not gonna
give me the track list. I appreciate you wanting to.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
Though, we all want to.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
I like that, Yeah, right, so you know what, I'll
just throw it in their inkybus tour. Congratulations, that's a
big band to open for. And I heard rave reviews
about you guys again. People are like, oh bad Flower,
more excited about Bad Flower than all the other bands. Sweet,
I'm happy for you guys. Congratulations on everything all right, Finally,
big gap between now and May? What's the plan? I

(06:30):
know Spring is important for the new album. What's the plan?
In between now and May?

Speaker 3 (06:34):
I'm gonna take a long bath.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
Yeah, you're gonna.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
I'm gonna be so soggy by the time this album
comes out.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
I'm gonna have some hot chocolate. Was that We're gonna
have some hot chocolate?

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Okay? I guess I'll work out again. I don't know
play video games. Yeah, you're gonna work out. I gotta
work out. I'm gonna get fat.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
I gotta get a show ready because when the album
comes out, we'll just be touring forever, so probably gonna
be the.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Rest of your lives. Guys, thank you so much for
being here for the back stage. Sorry, I'm like so
into it backstage with Bad Flower. Jesse All one O
four five, Winter, John two K two five. Gentlemen, Thank you,
