(00:00):
Hello and welcome to RLP is Healing.

(00:06):
I am your host, Tammie
the drug addict in recovery and healer.
And today on our episode,
we've got one of my favorite ladies who I have known
for frigging it feels like my whole life, 29 years, Coco V.
And get ready to listen to some amazing conversation

(00:31):
that's real and possibly a little bit raw.
Hey, V, how are you doing?
Hi, I'm good.
How are you?
I'm doing good.
Thanks for joining me on the episode.
Thank you for having me.
So what have you been up to?
Oh, life.

(00:55):
Life, life is life.
And we're kids, my personal projects I have going on,
just getting things in motion.
Yeah, life, life.
Dude, well, you know, life is life, man.
And life will, it's our reaction to life,
life thing that makes the big difference.

(01:17):
It's all about the reaction.
You know what?
Life can throw you curveballs and throw you up and down.
But if you react to it in coming from a place
of inner standing versus understanding,
let me tell you, it will be so much better.
I'm so happy though that your face doesn't do that thing

(01:40):
that it does when I say life is life anymore.
Tell it like, you know what?
The people can't see your face, but I can.
Like tell them about your experience
when I first said that to you.
Oh man.
Oh yeah, my face will tell me every single time.

(02:02):
I felt like I can't help but laugh
because the first time you said it,
I was just like, okay, yeah, bitch, great.
Life is life and people are people, great.
I understood what you meant.
I received what you said to me, but it did not resonate.

(02:24):
It really hit me like a ton of bricks,
probably roughly about a year after you first said it to me.
And then it clicked and then you understand,
oh shit, life is life and people are people.
And then it turned into a whole conversation.
I mean, I had to call you at that point
because I'm like, I really get it.

(02:45):
Like you said it to me, but I'm really getting it.
I'll never forget that conversation.
I picked up the phone and you're all,
I understand life is life and people are people now.
And I was like, say what?
Cause the first time I said that to you,
you looked at me and your face said, fuck you.

(03:06):
Like let's be honest.
Let's be honest.
It was a real, it was a face.
It was a face.
I was just, that's sure.
That's how you want me to deal with this,
well, life is life and people are people's this.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Thank you.

(03:29):
But you know what though?
I feel like, I, you know, folks, let me tell you.
So I, like I said, V and I have been friends for 29 years.
And it was about three years ago
that we had a conversation and she honored me with the,
with the opportunity to become her life coach.

(03:55):
And she was one of the first people to go through my healing
the past trauma package program that I was doing.
And it was really a good experience.
Tell like, it was a good experience for me
cause I got to learn and understand more about Coco that,

(04:17):
like that I had missed because we, you know,
we didn't get to talk all the time every day
and tell that, that experience.
So what the, what the listeners hear a little bit
about your experience and how you feel about it.
And I think that's a great experience.
And your journey, your healing and growth journey.

(04:44):
I was, I was completely honored and I felt so blessed
because it started out with us just, you know,
as we had reconnected over time,
cause you know, life happens, you move, you, you know,
I had been married not once, but twice, you know,
things happen as you, you go through life

(05:05):
and you don't stop being friends,
but you know, your, your connection stretches.
And you know, so as we're kind of getting reacquainted again
and learning about what's happened in our adulthood
and the time gap that we had.
And you know, I'm sharing some of the things
that I had been through and you're like, guess what?
Guess what I do.

(05:27):
And I remember just kind of being like, no fucking way.
Like I got in the universe works in mysterious ways
and I will always say that.
And I had tried certain things in the past
and they just didn't really, they didn't really stick.
And it was important for me to take a journey like that

(05:49):
with someone who I knew gave a shit about me.
At the end of the day, really cared about me getting better.
You know, that was one of the first things
that I talked about with you.
When we discussed me doing that journey was,
I want to do this with somebody who is really going to give a damn.
And I'm not just going to be a person in a seat
or someone they talk to for whatever timeframe.

(06:12):
And then, okay, thanks so much.
Don't forget to pay me.
At the end.
So it was completely life changing
and it opened up a door for me to realize
that I have an ability and a want and pure need inside of me

(06:35):
to also help other people heal in the way that I felt broken.
And there were other people out there I knew
that felt like I did after going through different life traumas.
And you know, and that's the one thing is that
that was actually one thing that we really talked about

(06:57):
was the, you know, your experience with trauma
and just different things.
And then you ended up becoming one of my students
because you felt you were stepping into a place
and growing and really beginning to see yourself
in your growth journey.

(07:19):
And let me tell you guys,
Coco V really helped me out because I was in a space
that we're going to use that dreaded word,
that dreaded word imposter syndrome.
Dun, dun, dun, dun.
I know, right?
But yeah, like let's talk about imposter syndrome.

(07:41):
So to anybody out there,
if you are unaware of imposter syndrome
and what imposter syndrome loves to do to all of us.
Imposter syndrome not only can kind of deter you,

(08:01):
but it can put you at a halt when you do not see yourself.
For me, I personally feel that imposter syndrome
was so easy to set in for me because I did not,
I didn't see my worth.

(08:23):
And today I sit here and I'm looking at certificates
and I'm looking at doing a podcast
for RLP, Holistic Wellness, my business.
And I'm in the space of seeing how far I've come.

(08:49):
And I feel like over the last six months has been
the really big momentum for me
because I'm like, wow, I'm doing this.
And in our conversation last night, V,
you said being invited to the party and not being there.

(09:13):
But come on, you talk about it.
Yes, I completely understand imposter syndrome
because from one being, speaking on your abilities,
you not only being my wellness coach,

(09:35):
my spiritual advisor, but then turned my instructor,
I know how badass you are.
So when you started struggling with certain things,
I'm like, hold the hell up, hold on.
You've done X, Y, and Z. But then to flip it
and be able to understand why that happens

(09:58):
because I know what skills and abilities I have.
But then being comfortably in the background of my own life,
allowing other people to shine because that's just
what I've always done.
You, in some ways, I feel for most of us, it's accidentally.

(10:20):
I don't think we really purposely do it.
We just get so comfortable with being in that space
that you take a backseat in your own life.
And then all of a sudden something happens.
And like I said, as we were speaking last night,
you show up to the party.
Your body's been there.
Everybody's been enjoying your gifts, except for you.

(10:46):
So when you show up, it's like, oh,
this is what's been going on.
Or like we said last night, you're
showing up to the party damage.
You might be the party.
You may be the one that is the party
or you coordinated the party.
You know what I mean?
It's that seeing it and truly innerstanding it.

(11:09):
I feel like it's going from that understanding
to the innerstanding to really be able to feel it.
That's what I feel that an innerstanding is,
is when you're truly able to feel it.
And I think that sometimes when you are in these different roles

(11:32):
and things like that, people assume
that you don't struggle with these different concepts
and ideas.
And one thing that I try to be open about
is that this is something that I struggled with actually
seeing who the fuck I am.

(11:53):
And knowing that, hey, this is a party that you're invited to.
Come on in.
The door's open and get started and enjoy yourself.
Yes.
The name of the game, folks, is it all starts with you.
And as you fill your cup, that overflow from your cup

(12:15):
pours into the cups of your family, your friends,
to even strangers.
And once you see who you truly are and get to innerstand you,
that's when you truly begin achieving your human revolution,
like Viva Human Revolution and the process.

(12:42):
So I hear you talking about projects.
And since I know you, like know you,
I'm going to throw you under the bus.
So you guys may not know, but Coco V, also too,
let me put this out here, Vera, for some of you

(13:05):
that don't know her as Coco V, but Vera is a fucking author.
She is a fucking author.
And I will say, I have been privy, privy,
to read her first book in her series.
I have also read, by the way, Up and Tell.

(13:28):
There's another book to you.
I've gotten to read so far what's available there.
I haven't gotten all of it.
But Vera, dude, fucking tell people about your writing.
Nobody knows how fucking fire you are when it comes
to writing words.
I'm telling you, words are fire.

(13:50):
Tell them, tell them.
Writing is one of my truest passions.
I have been working on a trilogy for many years.
And Poster Syndrome, excuse me, is
the reason why it has not been out in the world.
But that is no more.

(14:10):
But my trilogy is the Phoenix series.
My first book is The Soul of a Bird.
And it just is a little snippet.
It takes you on a journey about a young biracial girl,
her mother and her grandmother, and just her life

(14:33):
of finding her place within herself, her family,
and just the world in general.
I started that book probably 2009-ish.
It's been finished for a ridiculously long time.
And just not believing in my ability.

(14:54):
I knew that I could write.
I knew how in love I was with the story, how it came to me,
how it flowed.
And it's such a beautiful journey.
But then when it came time to trying to put it out
into the world, I felt like, am I really
going to be good enough for this?
I'm not in that space anymore.

(15:17):
And it's a beautiful thing.
It's a beautiful thing to realize that my book is fired, damn it.
And I really have an ability.
Like, I am a damn good writer.
And I mean, I've got this trilogy.
I've got a whole other book that I've started as a project.
And so it's an amazing, beautiful journey

(15:39):
to get to where I'm at now.
So I'm hoping to have this out, to have it out soon.
Oh, I'm super excited.
So can we say that the first book will possibly
be out this summer, 2025?
Is that what I'm hearing?

(16:00):
I have a feeling sooner than that.
But absolutely, we can say that.
Absolutely, we can say that.
Yes, yes.
I love it.
I love it.
This is so, you know, I really appreciate you coming
onto this podcast and having this chat with me.
You know, that is the number one goal, you know,

(16:24):
to get out here and help people see who they are
and fucking Viva Human Revolution and stepping
into that place of this is me, this is who I am, authenticity,
and just acceptance, and releasing the judgment.

(16:44):
Like, we have way too much judgment on ourselves.
You know, I was a drug addict for 18 years, you know?
And my judgment of self was so raw and freaking
and so punishing, you know what I mean?

(17:08):
And that's why I feel imposter syndrome is freaking real.
And I think that people don't realize
that that holds them back most of the time.
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Absolutely, absolutely.

(17:29):
It is such a joy stealer.
And it is such a confidence killer.
Yes, imposter syndrome is a nasty bitch.
And I think if you just remember that,
you just remember that, then you can attack it
from a different way.

(17:50):
It's literally something coming in and stealing that from you.
And then you realize that you are the party,
that you're truly the party.
So, folks, let us tell you, you are the party.
You are the shit.

(18:11):
Obviously, you wouldn't be going down this path
if this was not part of your purpose, part of who you are.
So continue to look at yourself and continue
to let yourself know that you are here for a fucking reason.

(18:31):
Whoever you look at, God, universe, nature, spirit,
ancestors, however you look at it,
you're in this meat stack, this body.
Your soul is in this body for a reason.
There is a reason why you're here.
There is a reason why you are doing the things

(18:53):
that you're doing.
So don't stop the shit.
Don't let what outside noises, we'll call them noises.
They may be voices, but let's call them noises.
Don't let the outside noises.
Don't let the inside noises stop you from moving forward.
So I'm going to let V take it away,

(19:15):
because we are actually almost done.
So I want to tell you first off, Coco.
Coco V, thank you for being here.
I will forever love you.
You will forever be my sister and my soulmate.
Thank you so much for being here.

(19:36):
You are so fucking Wolfgang.
I love you beyond words.
I love you to life.
I just want to remind everybody that love on yourself,
be kind to yourself.
Dammit, get up and get dressed for your party
before the party is over with.

(19:58):
Get dressed and show up for yourself.
Show up and show out, because you are the party.
You are the party.
And everyone that loves you most is waiting for you.
Oh, yes.
I love that.
So you heard it straight from Coco V. Get dressed and get

(20:18):
started and get ready to party.
Thank you guys for hanging out with us at RLP is Healing.
