This is the FCB podcast Network. This is Pillow Talk with Allie Michelle on
the podcast network. Welcome back toan episode of Pillow Talk with Alie Michelle.
(00:25):
I am your host, Alie Michelle. I wanted to record an episode
where I am talking about the studentdebt relief stuff, and with that we're
getting right into it. Just imagine, okay, put yourself in this shows.
Just imagine being so mad that asingle mother who put herself through college
(00:52):
to have a better life for herchild to support independently. Okay, she
scored a job, she has herlife together, she paid off her own
student debt, and you are madthat you, as a single person,
you yourself alan only have to takecare of yourself. You're so mad that
(01:14):
she won't pay your student debt. Please explain that to me. And also
and then okay, so hear meout. Parents have five kids, They
put all their kids through college, took out loans to pay the loans,
paid those loans, or just worktheir bought off and paid off their kids
student loan debt. Now imagine beingso mad at them that they're not going
to pay off your student loan debt. You take out the loan you pay
(01:40):
the loan. We as a societyhave become so comfortable with the fact that
you know somebody else will handle yourresponsibilities. You're not being held accountable.
It's like taking out a mortgage andsaying, you know, I don't want
to pay this thirty year mortgage. We need mortgage debt relief. That's so
silly, you know what I'm saying. That's just it's just completely ridiculous.
(02:05):
And I don't think it's your fellowAmericans that you need to be angry with.
I think it's you know, theamount of the amount that these colleges
are forcing you to pay in orderfor you to quote unquote be successful in
life. First and foremost, Ijust want to state you should pick up
a trade. Trades are in suchhigh demand right now. But everybody wants
(02:29):
to be a psychologist, or everybodywants to be a psychiatrist, or everybody
wants to just be a counselor, which is great jobs, and I think,
yeah, we do need them. But if you pick up a trade,
you will never not have work.Say, something terrible happens and you're
running little on funds and your husband'sout of work, and you know,
counseling is just not paying the bills. What about now, say something terrible
(02:55):
happens and your husband's out of workand you're struggling to pay the bills and
all you have, you know, your counseling isn't you know, paying the
mortgage. And you have a tradeunder your belt, you can go hop
in you know, cut a bluehaircut, couple of haircuts, a couple
of hair collars. That's a trade. Beauty school, women beauty school,
(03:17):
or a nail set. Or maybebeauty school isn't your thing. You can
get into painting. You really likepainting, so you can become a painter.
Or you like building, so youbecome a carpenter or electrician or truck
driving. There's endless possibilities of bluecollar work. Right. We have become
(03:38):
so brainwash set the only way tobe successful is getting a degree. And
I'm not saying going to college isterrible. I love learning, I love
school, I love everything about it. It's just a little too costly for
me, you know what I'm saying. There's so many other routes that people
can go, but we've just becomeso like I said, brainwash that the
(04:00):
only way to be successful is goingto college. But if you do,
and you do choose to go tocollege, and you you know, you
run through school and you and youget you know, you do your thing.
You do have to pay your ownbill. That's just it. Period.
And if you want to, ifyou are so desperate into believing that
(04:23):
the government will save you every time, you're very wrong and you will be
set up to be disappointed for therest of your life. Never depend on
the government to handle your business.Period. Why would you want to Why
would you want the government to havethat over your head for the rest of
You're like, oh, I guesswhat who paid you? Who paid you?
(04:45):
And then you're gonna fall for everytime when they let you down.
Every single time, every single electionseason, you hear the same spiel,
especially from Democrats, you hear thesame spiel, well, you know,
you know, universal healthcare or abortionin and oh, we'll pay your student
debt. And nothing happens, nothingever happens. And quite frankly, I'm
(05:06):
glad, I'm glad. I'm gladthat it does not happen because it continues,
It continues to wake people up,slowly, but it still wakes people
up. But I do feel badfor those that continue to fall for the
narrative due to some politicians fake promises. They only care about power and power
(05:30):
only. They only care about theiragenda and agenda only. And you want
to know why people keep bringing upall the pppee loans, You need to
really look into what that actually is. And another thing these politicians are don't
care about your money. They don'tcare about what you're making. If they
(05:51):
care about do you need us,because oh guess what, we'll give you
this, We'll give you this.Biden human angus, humongous tax Oh my
gosh, I can't even explain.I can't even fat like, I can't
even I can't even get to thepoint to where I need to break it
down to explain how how our taxeshave increased. And he wants to say
(06:15):
Bidenomics, Oh, Bidenomics, we'regonna build from the middle, middle out,
not from the top down. Excuseme? Does that? Does that?
You know? Are you holding yourson accountable for that as well?
They guess he did some crazy stuff. It's just it's insane to me.
(06:38):
It's insane to me that people continueto fall for that rhetoric and these gen's
ears are so they so want change, and I think everybody wants to change,
right, we all want change,we all want a better life,
we all want a healthier earth. There's no doubt, doubt, there's no
(06:59):
doubt that. But they the genzars are so so manipulative that they believe
it. And I understand because they'reyoung and they need to learn it.
But that's scary that they're praying onthe younger generation, literally praying on our
younger generation, and the school systemsare failing them as well. They're not
(07:24):
teaching them the outside part of everything. They're not teaching you know, they
only have one They only have onelesson that they want to teach, and
that's it. And it's sad.I really feel like millennials had the last
chance to have that foundation of learningwhere we know to look outwards. I
(07:48):
had a historian teacher. Okay,he was a legitimate historian and my senior
year at high school and he wasoff grid, right. He didn't,
let you know, no cable,no TV. His kids were like in
the woods. It was insane andit was so I didn't I didn't understand
it at the time, but themore I grew up and the more I
(08:09):
have done my own research, I'mlike, WHOA, I think his name
was mister Harris. You literally taughtme a valuable life lesson and for that
I'm forever thankful. It could bewrong in his name. I have to
I have to look, but Ireally do think it's mister Harris. But
he totally off the grid, andhe took us to like I think it
(08:31):
was like our only field ship senioryear, um where he was. I
went to a trade school, andum, he took us to this place
where it was in the woods andwe saw like, you know, World
War One memorabilia and World War Two, and it was it was freaking cool
(08:54):
at that age. Though, Idon't think we necessarily understand how critical and
how important it is to know ourhistory. We just you know, we're
being shoved down these dates that wecan't ever remember. But I continued my
education in history, in history inmy adult years. Actually, these last
five years, I've just gone nosedeep into learning my history because it is
(09:18):
extremely true when they say history repeatsyourself, like just think of it.
Just think of it as like clothingtrends. Everything comes back, right,
There's always the cycle of oh,retro or you know what I'm saying.
I know it's not the same asclothes, but in the same thought process
of things coming back around, it'stotally true. And to understand how we
(09:43):
prevented the negative way of living, how we learned how to not do that.
We can't let that be forgotten. We can't let wars be forgotten.
We can't let slavery be forgotten. We can't let you know, fascism and
socialism be forgotten. We can't letthe Holocaust be forgotten. We can't let
(10:03):
any of this to be forgotten. We can't let our following fathers be forgotten.
We can't let the idea, theidea of what America is, to
be forgotten. We can't remold afreedom of a country that is based strictly
on freedom and you know, prosperityto become a socialist country. We can't
(10:26):
allow that to happen or people,or we will fail as a society.
People are running here, pouring throughour borders for a better life, majority
of them, some of them aretaking advantage of this and committing heinous crimes
on our citizens. But you haveto think, if America is so bad,
(10:46):
why are we why why are peoplepouring into our country and why people
are seeking education in our country? But to rely on the government is what
I'm getting. But to rely onthe government to solve all problems will only
cause more problems. We will nolonger be free, we will no longer
(11:09):
have the equal opportunities that we have. We will no longer have competition,
which then creates you know, scientificbreakthroughs or medicine, or thriving businesses or
people who will be successful in thislife because we're all said at the same
(11:31):
amount. How equal. That doesn'tsound like equal to me in theory sounds
great in reality, it's not.And with that, I'm going to let
you guys go. Thank you somuch for joining my podcasts. I love
the support for those that continue toshare and continue to listen to my episodes.
You are true rock stars and youare helping a girl's dream come true.
(11:56):
And remember America is the best country. It has been the most successful
country. And just remember we're allin this together. We all want the
same thing. We all want weall want the same thing. And with
(12:18):
that, I will see y'all nextweek. This has been a presentation of
