Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to the Law of Attraction Radio network. The
secret to well being is discovering the power that is
your birthright, the power to create a happier, healthier life
drawn from our own vast internal resources. Join Jeuwles and
her guests as they gently guide you to shift your
perspective from the familiar negative to the divinely connected, a

(00:22):
place that will not only positively impact your world, but
possibly shift the planet. It's all right here on Law
of Attraction Talk Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Well, welcome to Law of Attraction Talk Radio. I'm Jewels
from beautiful Lacitta, California. Oh my goodness, I'm enjoying this
magnificent desert living with the sun shining absolutely beautiful. I
hope no matter where you are living, and no matter

(00:53):
what the weather is like for you, you'll simply take
a moment to feel the weather that you would like
to feel, like sitting on the beach and feeling the
pleasant sea breeze and the warmth of the sun. You
know at that moment that you are feeling your visualizations. Well,

(01:15):
you have raised your vibration up to a new level. Now,
if you could hold that feeling for fifteen to thirty seconds, Well,
you're actually pushing that thought wave out to the universal consciousness,
which will help you to attract a manifestation to you.

(01:40):
You see, feeling the visualization is key to manifesting it.
And I think we're going to talk about that a
little later in the show tonight. You know, Tonight, I
am talking a bit on how to change your thoughts
for easier realization of what you're desiring. And then I
am talking to a beautiful gal named Hayley who is

(02:03):
an actress and a voiceover artist about how she can
maintain success after she reaches it. I think you may
be able to identify with it as well. So I
want to talk about how our subconscious mind is a
bit like a navigation system. If we haven't set the destination,

(02:27):
it's going to lead us around in circles. We're constantly
being given directions by our subconscious mind.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
But if we.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Haven't plugged in the right address with our conscious mind,
if we haven't set that destination, then our subconscious mind
is constantly going to lead us around in circles. As
long as my attention was programmed with negative self image

(02:56):
from my past, it was impossible for me to really
create the future that I thought I wanted. Everything that
the mind tends to say when we're not controlling it
is negative feedback. Let's talk about reality here. How many
times has your mind said to you the following, just

(03:18):
out of the blue, You're the most wonderful person in
this world.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
You're great at everything. I love you. Well.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
I don't know about you, but I haven't heard those
words a lot unless I intentionally say them to myself.
But they just don't come out of the blue. Think
about how you view yourself in your own head. Do
you think mostly about the things you want to feel
that you're lacking. Do you think you're not pretty enough,

(03:53):
smart enough, articulate enough. Do you spend most of your
time dwelling on things that hold you back? Well, this
is how the unconscious mind keeps its grip on us.
The mind has a fear of fulfillment, and as a
perfection seeking organism, its job is to keep telling you

(04:16):
what's wrong. It thrives on the negative dialogue, and the
more engaged with life you become, the less attention you
will end up giving it. Look at how much of
the day is accomplished by your unconscious rather than your
conscious mind. You know, psychological processes continue more or less

(04:42):
perfectly without you having to think about them. Physiological processes
continue more or less perfectly without you having to even
think about them. Imagine if you had to remind yourself
to breathe, or to tell your kidneys to flush out impurities,
or instruct your heart to pump blood about one hundred

(05:06):
and eight thousand times a day, your unconscious biological mechanisms
accomplish all these functions, leaving your consciousness free to take
care of all of the things you need to think about.
I like to say that the conscious mind is like
the captain of a ship, while the unconscious mind is

(05:29):
the ship. Much of the ship is submerged in the water,
and the captain has to stay on the bridge, never
going inside the injurym or even knowing everything that's going
on below deck. But he has a very important job
to set the course for the ship to follow. In

(05:50):
that same way, the conscious mind can set a course
for the unconscious mind follow. Does that make sense. That's
what's entering a destination address into your navigational system.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
It sets course.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
The moment I reprogram my inner navigation system, I begin
moving forward at a pace that well actually well stun
those who knew me.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Within a short period of.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Time, you can accomplish anything that you want successfully. All
it takes is that shift of attention and then the
readiness to change. Look, the truth is we need to

(06:47):
start being the master of our destiny, and by doing that,
we are effectively taking control of our thoughts. We're moving
from being an audience member to actually the director and
the producer and the writer of our entire life. Let's

(07:14):
say the projector represents your attention. The film is what
you choose to put your attention on those thoughts, self, images, desires,
or dreams that you are focusing on. The light coming
through the projector is the light of source, and the
screen it projects onto is your life. Using this simple metaphor,

(07:36):
you can find out a lot about yourself. What movie
are you playing in your life and where are you
in it? Are you an actor on the screen consciously
playing out your chosen life, or are you sitting in

(07:56):
the audience shouting helplessly.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
At the screen.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
The point is, if you're sitting in the audience, you're
actually living in the past. By that time the image
hits the screen, it's already been scripted. Most of us
relate to our lives this way, feeling that somehow we
have no control over where we have ended up. We
feel like audience members watching our own lives, victims of

(08:25):
circumstance and our own and conscious drives. So the first
step we have to take before we can take responsibility
for our future is to take full responsibility for our
present situation.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
I have said this often.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
You have to accept as an absolute fact that you
have created the life that you are living. Any idea,
any notion, any belief you are holding on to that
says someone or something outside of you is responsible for
your life that you are living today, such as a

(09:02):
bad parent, or those kids who bullied you at school, or.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
That dot com.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Crash that caused you to lose all your money, the
business partner that ripped you off, even someone who committed
a horrible crime against you, even at that terrible tragedy
that killed the love of your life, that is keeping
you stuck in the past. I'm not discounting the impact

(09:30):
of the people or events, and I'm not saying that
what they did was your fault. This is not assigning
or reassigning blame. It's about you reclaiming control of your
freedom to choose.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
We've all been victims.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Each and every one of us at one time or another.
But the point is we can either let that victimhood
become our identity.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
Or we can choose not to.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
As long as we see ourselves as victims, we dis
empower ourselves. We don't have to deny our past, but
we have to take responsibility for our present. I'm not
suggesting that you have to go through your day saying
positive things to yourself, like everyone tells us. That doesn't

(10:20):
always work because it doesn't take into account that the
present has already happened. And I'm not saying you have
to change the thoughts that are going through your mind,
because technically that's just not possible. What I'm saying is
that you can choose what you pay attention to in

(10:41):
your mind, and over time, if you have a vision,
which is what that little movie I played to myself represented,
you can start to retrain the attention away from your
habitual downward spiral of thoughts. It doesn't stop the negative thoughts,
they're still going to be there, but visualization process readdirects

(11:06):
your attention onto something else. Directing a movie in your
mind gives you something to put your attention on that
isn't the same old pattern. I can't stress enough how
important this is. If you don't take on full faith

(11:28):
that you are creating the life that you are living,
that you are the principal author of your own destiny,
then you are writing your own story every day, and
you will remain a helpless audience member watching your own
life go by, and neither I nor anyone else will

(11:49):
be able to help you. You may get emotionally caught
up in the plot line and feel bad for the
downtrodden hero or angry at those who abuse or betray them.
Your emotions react to each scene, but you have no
control over what is being played out on the screen. However,

(12:12):
if you're willing to take responsibility that you have played
and are playing in your life, you will become an
actor rather than an audience member. Whatever you're doing now
is the script you've been handed, So your responsibility is
to be the best expression of the role that you

(12:33):
can be, to take full responsibility for it and not
blame anyone else. Once you start doing that, everything changes,
sometimes even instantaneously. The victim mentality is what keeps you
embedded in your present movie. The director of a movie

(12:55):
knows that each character is an integral part of a
larger street. He has a broader goal to have an
impact on the world through making the best film possible
that he can. A good director is fully in control
of his creation, but he can only hope that his
message and expression is well received.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
He can't stress over that.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
He must have all of the attention on the movie
he is creating, on the actors, on the crew, all
of the hundreds of people who are participating in his vision.
The director's attention is glued to the present moment. That's
how he is creating his future. Remember, the future is

(13:42):
the only thing we have any control over. We can't
change the past and we can't change the present. But
what we can do is live life now in a
way that will create the future we want. So grab
your director's chair and megaphone and start making your movie.

(14:12):
And here's another tip. You know, you can't get rid
of your thoughts, but you can let go of your
attachment to them. That's the most important thing that you
need to remember. Let go of your attachment so that
you can start creating the script that you want to live.

(14:37):
Bottom line, success is a journey, not a destination. So
I'm going to give you some very simple exercises on
how you can start your journey into creating the script

(14:59):
of your life. You create a two minute video in
your mind of you in the future being the person
that you have always wanted to be if only you
had enough money to start right. Imagine that money is
no longer an obstacle. Anything is possible now. This process

(15:21):
requires just five minutes a night before you go to bed. First,
spend a minute or two meditating or thinking about what
you would like to have happen. By the way, this
is the same instructions so that I give my athletic

(15:41):
hypnosis clients. Before a big game or a motorcycle race,
you simply visualize the field, the kickoff, and then you
see yourself catching the ball and running through that goal line.
Or if you're in a motorcycle race, you visually the
entire track, especially the starting gate, and then you go

(16:05):
through every jump and turn, especially concentrating on the areas
that you were most nervous about, and even more important,
you feel the joy of getting that trophy as your
friends and family watch. This is where you create your
tomorrow by visually creating the perfection of how you want

(16:28):
your day to turn out. This really works and actually
gets the person into that proverbial zone the next day
where it's so easy and effortless to manifest what you
envisioned the night before. Now, let's say that you're looking

(16:49):
for new clients and you simply visualize that phone call
coming in as you are smiling and feeling so good
about this client. You visualize that this client is saying
yes to your fee, and then you feel the excitement
and joy of being able to serve that client to

(17:10):
meet their needs. Again, you feel the joy and you
begin to feel the self worth that you are helping
to shift lives. There's nothing better to increase your self
worth than knowing that you are able to serve others.
This also works great for public speaking or taking a test. Yes,

(17:35):
it's especially great for all kinds of phobias. You are
simply releasing your fears in the practice run of tomorrow.
This shows you how easy it is to overcome all blockages,
all limiting beliefs because you are practicing for tomorrow. This

(17:59):
is a wonderful exercise that can be done in the
evening prior to the event, which is extremely effective or
even in the morning. It's up to you when you
feel the most relaxed that you can make this happen,
and then you become the writer, producer, and director of

(18:20):
your life on a daily basis. Now what won't work
is if you visualize success for another You have to
keep the visualization on you, because it's your mind. You
can visualize being with someone, but just don't waste your
time trying to fix them. When you find the need

(18:43):
to fix them, you are allowing your own fear to
pop up. You are, in fact, trying to control them
to be a certain way that you will accept, which
is actually none of your business. Remember, your visualization is
all about you, your reactions, and your winning. If you

(19:05):
keep the focus on you, you're actually helping the other
person to succeed as well vibrationally. In other words, you
can't help someone change their life because that's an inside job,
but you can change your own feeling around their life.
And again, this shift in you actually helps them. They

(19:30):
are here to learn how to change their minds as well,
so you're actually influencing them by letting them see your
acceptance and your vibrational change. I just want to remind
you that you are a magnificent being that has a

(19:54):
brilliant mind. You really do. You are the creator of
your life, and now it's time for you to be
the writer, producer and director of your life. You are
so powerful and you are so wonderful and it's time
that you take control with that. Let's take a fast

(20:17):
break and we'll be right back.

Speaker 4 (20:19):

Now we have a beautiful actress whose name we have
changed to Haley, and Haley wants some information on how

(24:05):
to maintain success after she reaches it.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
And it's a great question.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
When you think you reach success, often there is a lull.
So we're going to go deeper into the fact that
success is an ongoing journey, not the final destination. It
doesn't mean that you can actually kick back and relax.
It means you still have to keep on going. Welcome

(24:32):
Haley to Law of Attraction talk radio. Thanks for coming
on because this is really an important message for all
the year.

Speaker 5 (24:40):
Okay, I guess you could call it an issue.

Speaker 6 (24:46):
So I'm an actress in the LA area.

Speaker 5 (24:48):
I've been an actress, oh, probably since i was eighteen,
and I'm middle aged now, so I've been doing it
for a very long time.

Speaker 6 (24:58):
So I've had success.

Speaker 5 (25:01):
On and off, and I have met and actually now
right now, I'm friends with a lot of actors that
have like they've reached success and then it just does
non stop. You know, they may not be household names,
but they continue to book. They've you know, they've never
had to bartend or waite tables or anything like that.

Speaker 6 (25:22):
They just continue to audition and get the work.

Speaker 5 (25:25):
And so I'm wondering, you know, what could possibly be
going on with me that would cause success to stop,
to start and stop?

Speaker 3 (25:36):
Oh okay.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
So it's kind of like a wave pattern, right, it
flows in and then the tide reverses and goes out,
and it's like your your left standing, where's the next
move here?

Speaker 3 (25:50):
Where do I go?

Speaker 2 (25:51):
Who's who's gonna Who's going to book me here? So, yeah,
that happens a lot. So what have you done to
maybe correct it, have you done anything?

Speaker 5 (26:08):
In fact, I just started it just a few weeks
ago because there is a woman here in Hollywood that
she actually.

Speaker 6 (26:17):
Teaches people to reach that level.

Speaker 5 (26:20):
And so I kind of have been following her advice,
which is to really immerse yourself in the self love
you know, just love you right now, no matter what.
To take a moment every morning just to set your intention.
And she provided the guided meditation, and then it's just
to be very grateful for everything. And so what's interesting

(26:44):
is I started out maybe about two weeks ago, and
I've had so much success with it.

Speaker 6 (26:52):
I like, booking has just.

Speaker 5 (26:53):
Started to come in just out of the blue, and
people talcting me out of the blue. But I think
like I just have that little fear in the back
of my mind. And the woman that's teaching this, she's
one of the people that I was talking about that
she started booking TV shows that she hasn't stopped, and
she just feels so necessary to share with all of
us that this is how she does it.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
You know, one of the things that will stop a
person is that all of a sudden, the little thought
comes up and the fear comes up, and you're back
into that lack feeling, which.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
Happens to all of us.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
But it's at that time it's imperative that you surrender
and let it go to your source energy. So you're
able to do that, to let it go and just
surrender and says, you know, trust that the universe has
your back.

Speaker 5 (27:53):
I'm getting better at that. I'll be honest, I'm not
fully there, you know. I do sometimes start to feel
that way, but then I just get out my gratitude
journal and read through and read through what happened in January,
and you know, now we're here in February and it
looks promising. But then I'll think, well, I like sometimes
we have this term you get put on a veil.

Speaker 6 (28:13):
So yesterday, you know, I I guess it was Tuesday.

Speaker 5 (28:18):
I auditioned for something that was just like so far
out of my reach, but I went ahead an audition
for it. And then yesterday my agent said they put
you on a veil. And so that just shocked me.
So I was really excited all day long, and today
I woke up. I mean, you could not it could
possibly be that you wouldn't find out for several days,
and you usually find out if you are released. But

(28:39):
throughout the day she was checking things, checking are you
available for the fitting, checking that I didn't have any
conflicts because you can't audition for certain things if you
have another ad running for some product.

Speaker 6 (28:51):
You know.

Speaker 5 (28:51):
So throughout the day she did that and so I
was just like in a happy bubble all day. And
then I realized I was watching TV and I thought, oh,
it's seven o'clock back. So I started to get that
fear again. And I just have to remind myself it's
okay if I don't get it, because it means that
something better is shitting that same day, you know, And.

Speaker 6 (29:09):
I have to convince myself of that.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
And that's that's it. That's your surrender point. That's the
way you have to really get to the point. And
if you look back on your entire life, every time
that you got fearful of something, it always worked out,
didn't it. It always did right, and if it didn't

(29:36):
work out the way that you wanted it, it would
turn out even better. So you have always been in
this space that it's just going to move forward for you.
It's not going to move backwards. Everything is working out
to perfection. But it's so funny because we often forget

(29:58):
that get into the fear, and if we can just remember,
wait a minute, I'm here, I've done all of this
and there's more coming. And you know, my friend Michael
Loge said that as far as affirmations, to always say
I'm in the process of getting this fabulous new gig,

(30:24):
I'm in the process. Therefore, you're saying to the universe
it's coming to me and I'm going to embrace it,
not that I have this fabulous gig, because then you're
telling the universe that you already have it and you
don't need it. So when you say you're in the process,

(30:45):
and he mentioned to me that even Brian Tracy agrees
with that. Now they had to he really had to
examine it, but he agrees that saying that you're in
the process brings it to you faster as opposed to
that you're already in it.

Speaker 6 (31:05):
Right, right, I think I come from a school of it, youth.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
Right, That's where I was for all those years. But
it makes so much sense.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
Because then you're opening up that opportunity pathway to just
flow in in all directions. And by saying again, I
already have that fantastic booking I just can't believe it.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
I got it and I'm there.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
That's wonderful, but it's still telling the universe that you
don't need it or you don't need anymore. So if
you could word it, I'm in the process of obtaining
fabulous bookings for the rest of the twenty eighteen. Then

(31:54):
you're allowing it to flow in.

Speaker 6 (31:57):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
I think that was a real eye opener for me
because I got to be truthful. I was doing it wrong,
but it makes sense. And I don't know if you
know another friend of mine, Dee Wallace, she is the
one that taught me that when you get into that

(32:19):
fear thing, you just go into the bathroom, you start
jumping up and down and you're going yeai idea, I
can feel it. It's wonderful and that passion absolutely opens
up more opportunities as well. It's when we get tired

(32:39):
and we stay in that thing, in that fear, so
we have to really open up and feel the other
incredible emotions of just jumping up and down, and that
gets us out of it and it just makes us
feel better. And there we've shipped our frequency up a

(33:02):
few more levels by getting into that space of feeling
that enthusiasm, just like you know, kind of getting a
brand new car and you're sitting there and going, wow,
that's kind of the feeling that you need to get
into anything you can do to release the fear. But

(33:24):
it sounds like you're doing everything perfectly and you're human,
so of course that fear is not something to avoid,
but something that's going to motivate you to rise you
up to a different vibration.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
It's just a telltale.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
Sign, right, So you need it, right, we all need it.
We just don't want to live there constantly.

Speaker 6 (33:52):
Right, Yeah, that makes sense.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
Also, I want to remind you too that on Law
of Attraction Radio Network page, I have the free Hypnosis
Money Attractor. Oh and it's free to anyone who goes there,
and it's under the tab free money.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
Okay, and you go there and get that.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
It's three separate recordings, once for daytime, once for nighttime.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
But it really works.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Because it just brings in money and opportunities. It kind
of opens your eyes, releases the fear, make you jump
over that critical mind, and brings you back into the
space where you're just opened up and ready to receive amazing,
amazing things.

Speaker 3 (34:48):
Happen when you listen to that.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
It's really good and it's got Eric Altman is the
energy healer who's put all this energy in it, and
I do the hypnosis and then there's high frequency music,
so you're getting like trick bold action powers. It's really
really powerful. It really does work. So it's there for you.
It's free for anyone to go there and just download it,

(35:14):
keep it in your computer, and whenever you feel that
fear grip up, like I'm I'm not getting any bookings here,
then you just listen to that and somehow everything starts
flowing again.

Speaker 6 (35:27):
Oh, I can't wait to go get it.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
It's really neat.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
I've even listened to it quite a few times. It's
really fun. It's really nice.

Speaker 3 (35:36):
So is there anything Are you married?

Speaker 2 (35:40):
Are you in a relationship?

Speaker 6 (35:42):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Oh how's that going?

Speaker 6 (35:44):
Oh very well? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (35:46):
Good, so you have you don't have any fears about that,
so you feel very balanced in on that.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
That's great.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
That's great, especially with Valentine's State's coming up? Right? Is
there what else can we help you with? Is there
any other issues or.

Speaker 3 (36:06):
Things that.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
You need help with as far as the law of attraction?

Speaker 6 (36:13):
Well, money was one of them.

Speaker 5 (36:16):
Oh yeah, I can't wait to go.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
Three times a day.

Speaker 3 (36:23):
Yeah, well you're gonna like it. You're gonna like it.

Speaker 2 (36:26):
I've taken I'm not selling it anymore through the mobile apps,
so I'm just allowing. It's kind of my prosperity consciousness
that I can give to everyone to prosper that would
just make me so happy that everybody can get away
from that beer.

Speaker 6 (36:44):
Mm.

Speaker 3 (36:45):
Yeah, so it's good. Uh So money was it? And
getting gigs?

Speaker 2 (36:52):
What about the kind of gigs that you want?

Speaker 6 (36:55):
M wow? What?

Speaker 5 (36:58):
Yeah, what's interesting is I've really been focusing on I
actually used to be on a soap operas, so that's
like kind of like a series regular, you know, And
I loved that. I loved being on set and I
loved just the regular. And I'd let you know, when
i'd go into Trader Jo's, people would say, oh, you know,
it's gonna happen.

Speaker 6 (37:16):
Yeah, so it's kind of fun.

Speaker 5 (37:18):
You know. It was like a little bit of fame,
but not so much. You know that I couldn't live
my life and you know, and that it went away,
you know, where the show went off the air, I
think in two thousand and eight. So since then I've
gotten like roles in independent films and guest stars on

(37:38):
TV shows and things like that. But I was just thinking, God.

Speaker 6 (37:41):
I really want to do be a series regular.

Speaker 5 (37:47):
And but what was interesting was just a year ago,
I was saying I wanted to book a lot of
commercials because I used to get national commercials and they
paid tons of money. And so my commercial agents said,
and it's not the eighties anymore, you know, you get
you don't make as much, and most of them are
non union, and there's different mediums, like they pay less

(38:07):
because they're on the web, you know, on new media,
and you know, she says, like, you know, they don't
pay much. And they almost always want you to be
non union for the modeling because they're going to have
a non union B role.

Speaker 6 (38:17):
That goes with it. So I just thought, darn it.

Speaker 5 (38:21):
You know, I missed those days because I did make
a lot of money back then. So so now I said, okay,
I really want to be a series regular. And all
my gigs in January were national commercials. And this thing
that I'm on hold for is a national print ad
that would have a national commercial that went with it,
and it's all union, and I thought, isn't it so
funny that I wasn't asking for that specific thing. I'm

(38:43):
asking for movies and TV, but this other stuff is
coming through. So I still, you know, I want, Like
I said, I'm so grateful. I only bring in the
money that I can continue, you know, to not have
to take an extra job and audition for these TV
and film roles.

Speaker 6 (39:00):
But I do really.

Speaker 5 (39:01):
Want those, you know. That's my ultimate goal is like
to get back on a show.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
So that's a great goal. So and what do you
do to visualize this?

Speaker 5 (39:17):
I've seen myself on set, you know, coming to set,
it ends up being like a little bit like a family.
And so I have a really good visualization in my
mind because I was flown to South Carolina to be
a guest star on a show and I was the
only guest star.

Speaker 6 (39:37):
It was just the series regulars.

Speaker 5 (39:39):
And I remember on the plane being a little bit worried, thinking,
you know, it's all on me because I had all
the lines. They were in the scene.

Speaker 6 (39:49):
They were or questioning me.

Speaker 5 (39:53):
So they would ask me a question that I had
like two pages of dialogue, and then I'd say, is
that so? And then I have two pages of dialogue
so I was really worried. I thought, God, they're a family.
You know, they've been on this series for four seasons.
They don't have to worry about anything. You know, they're
not nervous. If they forgot that one line, they would
just retake it, you know. And and I thought, and
I looked very similar to the lead woman, and I thought,

(40:15):
sometimes they don't want someone coming in and that looks
like them. And when I got there, it was the
best set area this The woman's series regular just came
up and hugged me and said, welcome.

Speaker 6 (40:26):
We're so excited that you're here.

Speaker 5 (40:28):
No, you're gorgeous, and you're you know, when they brought
out the wardrobes, she goes, you're killing it, you know.

Speaker 6 (40:33):
And then I met all the other.

Speaker 5 (40:35):
Series regulars and they just hugged me and they were lovely,
and they sat with me at lunch, you know.

Speaker 6 (40:42):
And so so I have that in my mind.

Speaker 5 (40:45):
I thought, how wonderful if I'm a series regular, That's
how I'm going to treat every co star, guest star,
background artists, you know.

Speaker 6 (40:51):
And it's like your home.

Speaker 5 (40:53):
And then you're welcoming people into your house, your fantastic house.
So I have that in my head.

Speaker 6 (40:59):
You know that I can. I'm in and I know everybody,
and then I'm.

Speaker 5 (41:01):
So excited about the guest stars and so I got
that VISU.

Speaker 2 (41:07):
Okay, so how do you use that INDI visualization? Are
you seeing it as a third person or are you
seeing it as if it's actually happening to you through
your own eyes.

Speaker 5 (41:21):
I'm seeing it as it's me, you know, I even
see myself like coming out with my copy, you coming
in and greeting everyone, and just that it feels like
hung you know it.

Speaker 2 (41:33):
You know, it's just it's and you feel it, and
you feel the set, you feel the floor that you're
walking on, You're feeling everything. You're feeling the smiles, the familiarity.

Speaker 3 (41:46):
So I just want.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
To toss this out to you to maybe speed it up,
because what you're doing is absolutely correct seeing it through
your own eyes. But if you could take it from
a different angle and see it as a third party, Okay,
not all the time, but it actually serves as a booster.

(42:11):
So you're you're just doing it at a different angle
for your mind, and it's a great exercise that will
keep you focused in So if you just sit back
and watch you converse with another person on the set,

(42:32):
but you're the third person watching this play. So then
it's just kind of a mind trick and it gets
your mind working in different ways and it actually will
speed it out.

Speaker 6 (42:49):
M h Okay.

Speaker 5 (42:51):
It's interesting that you say that, because the woman that
I was telling you about that's training us to think
like her. She provided us with a guided meditani where
we kind of do that. She walks you through it
and you actually go into a movie theater and she's
saying it all, you know, with lovely music, and you're
the only person in the theater and it opens up

(43:11):
and it's you.

Speaker 6 (43:12):
You know, it's your life.

Speaker 5 (43:13):
You're watching all this amazing stuff happening. So you just
reminded me of that. I haven't used it in a while,
so I will.

Speaker 2 (43:21):
So if you use both. Look what you're doing. You
are really saturating the brain, and your brain is connected
to this energy that creates that's the way out there.
So that's what you're doing. And you don't want to
just do it one way. You want to do it

(43:42):
to exercise the brain, Okay, to send different angles out.
So good, Yeah, because what you're doing is absolutely correct.
You just want to expand it a little bit.

Speaker 6 (43:53):
More, right, Okay, great, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (43:57):
That that should help because I intuitively I'm feeling that, Yeah,
you are going to be on something. There is a
big thing waiting for you. But the truth of the matter,
you're creating it. You're not given the opportunities. You're actually

(44:20):
creating that happening in your life because we create everything.
So you're there, You've already you're doing the work and
you're changing the way you think. You're releasing the fear
and if you can just let it go to this

(44:42):
creative power that creates everything, then then you've got it made.
But it's just around right around the corner. It's coming soon,
very soon, very soon. It's in the it's in this year.
So you are going to get something great.

Speaker 6 (45:02):
Yeah, that's feel it, which is cool. I really do
feel it.

Speaker 3 (45:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (45:07):
Yeah that's great. Oh that's super Well, keep me posted
in on it. I like to see it, and I
love for you to come onto the show and tell us.
After you get on there and get accepted and everything.
I want you to tell all of the listeners how
you went about it, because it's it's something that everybody

(45:29):
needs to know and getting into your field is not an.

Speaker 3 (45:35):
Easy, easy job.

Speaker 2 (45:38):
So it's like, but every single actor has created that
for them. They've created their success. It wasn't given to them.
It's like a doctor doesn't heal you, You actually heal yourself.
So you're doing everything and you're doing it all right

(46:00):
because you're you're already going and meditating and visualizing and
oh my goodness. Yeah, and you're in a good place
emotionally with your relationship, so you don't have that to
bring you down. And that's that can be really a
huge impact on people too if they're not in a
good space with their relationship.

Speaker 3 (46:21):
So it sounds like you've got everything going for you. Okay,
that's right.

Speaker 2 (46:27):
Okay, well go get that money activation I'm P three,
and have a good time and keep in touch so
we can see what happened.

Speaker 6 (46:37):
All right, Okay, thank you so much, thank you.

Speaker 2 (46:42):
Well that was fun. So I want to continue a
little bit and just mention. You know, when when I
ask clients what are you going to do different this
year than you did last year, they always look at
me and go, what, Well, I'm going to make more
money than I did last year, or I'm going to

(47:04):
see more people than I did last year. But when
I asked them what are they going to do differently
than last year? They say, well, what the heck do
you mean? A well known definition of insanity is doing
the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

(47:24):
And when I talk about doing the same thing, I
mean at the most fundamental level, how we spend our
attention and energy. If we are living our lives with
the attention endlessly cut up on the gerbil wheel of
the same old thoughts, it's no wonder our lives don't

(47:47):
change even if we attempt to change out our outward circumstances.
But by the time we get around to changing the circumstances,
it's already too late. Our energy and attention has already
been created. Remember, we are experiencing the future in our

(48:11):
present moment. But if we can get down to the
level where we spend our attention and begin to redirect it,
we can begin to create a new destination.

Speaker 3 (48:22):
For our lives.

Speaker 2 (48:24):
When we start being choosy about the thoughts we give
our attention too, well, many people are going to be
absolutely amazed at how quickly and easily we can get
what we want. Redirecting your attention is about the change
of orientation. It's a shift from the past and the

(48:46):
present to the future. You may think you want the
future to be different, but if you look honestly at
your own experience, you will probably find that you don't
give the future much. Attention tends to gravitate first and
foremost to how we feel in the present moment. We

(49:07):
notice that we don't feel good, and we try to
do something about it, But what we don't realize is
that the present moment has already happened. What I mean
by this is that the present moment is a result
of our past choices, of the way we spent our

(49:30):
energy and attention in every moment leading up to it.
The only way to really change the present would be
to go back and change the past. Pretty much everyone
I know has seen the classic movie Back to the Future.

Speaker 3 (49:47):
It was one of my favorites. In case you.

Speaker 2 (49:49):
Are one of the few who missed it, here's a
brief recap. In nineteen eighty five, I think it was
skateboarding teenager Marty mcfloh i, who was actually Michael J. Fox,
accidentally traveled back to the air In nineteen fifty five
in a pollutonium powered time machine invented by his mad

(50:14):
scientist friend Doc Brown.

Speaker 3 (50:16):
Landing in the high school where his parents were.

Speaker 2 (50:19):
Teenager, Marty unknowingly interferes with their first mini and finds
himself having to play matchmaker to ensure that he has
the future to go back to. So much fun. I
love this movie. In a memorable scene at a dance

(50:39):
where his geeky father and his pretty popular mother were attending,
we're supposed to have the kiss that began their wonderful romance,
Marty pleased with the band not to cancel their gig
after the guitar player gets his finger slammed in the
trunk of a car.

Speaker 3 (51:02):
Do you remember the story? I just love it?

Speaker 2 (51:05):
And he says, wait, you don't understand. He begs, if
you don't play, there's no music. If there's no music,
they don't dance. If they don't dance, they don't kiss
and fall in love, and I'm history. In the end,
he jumps on stage himself and let rip with the

(51:26):
guitar solo that leaves the crowd in shock, and he
sees their amazement at his guitar playing skills, and he states, well,
I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet, but
your kids are gonna love it. After many near misses,

(51:47):
his parents finally kiss and Marty's future is assured. Along
the way, he also takes care of his dad's low
self esteem and his mother's alcohol problem by creating himself
a much better future than the one he left behind. Now,
watching the movie today, most of us would probably see

(52:09):
it as entertaining, if rather dated, science fiction, But we
probably don't realize that we ourselves are engaging in that
kind of science fiction with our own minds every single day.
How much time do you spend thinking about the past,
wondering how things would be different if I had just

(52:30):
done this or that. How concerned are you with trying
to feel better about your past in the hopes that
it will change how you feel about your present. Even
after therapy, you may feel better about the past, but
it's still the past, and the present is still the

(52:52):
past too. From a certain point of view, it's already
out of our control. So it's important to question how
much of your precious attention is worth spending on yesterday
or today, which is yesterday's already proven result. Having a

(53:15):
direction is essential. A lot of spiritual teachers will tell
you that if you can just let go of your
thoughts and learn to be in the present moment, everything
will take care of itself. But I found this not
to be the case. In other words, if you don't
know where you're going, you'll wind up somewhere else. To me,

(53:39):
getting out of the thought stream, it's what creates the
space to take control of my life and direct it
where I want to go. It's what releases the creativity
that brings me the greatest joy of all.

Speaker 3 (53:54):
So I'm not a great believer.

Speaker 2 (53:57):
In the present moment because the present has our happen.
I let go of my attachment to the past so
that I can continuously build my future. And that is
what I've been talking about for the entire night. So

thank you so much for listening. I truly adore each

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
