How do you, as a local business owner, not just survive in a world where it feels like AI is eating everything, but thrive?
Your one silver bullet to attract, convert and nurture your ideal customers may be accomplished easier then you think.
In this episode, jeff shares how a content marketing strategy, leveraging AI may be a wave you can ride, versus getting crushed by the same wave.
AI is coming...actually it's already here. You no...
If you could have purchased apple stock the day it came out, imagine the worth today...
And what about NVidia...same.
Oh wait Bitcoin when it was worth pennies.
The same thing is happening with using Ai and the technology that unfolds with it to help you personally grow your business.
In this episode, which is a bit different the way it was recorded, shares data and examples versus theory.
Thanks for joining me.
Every business is a media company.
When I heard this for the first time, almost a decade ago, it struck a cord.
Now a decade later it could not be more true.
Ten years ago you had to be flush with cash to have a show on tv that appeared weekly. Maybe a little less flush if you did it through radio.
Fast forward to today and if you're still thinking "for me to put out a weekly show is too expensive or too hard, I want to break ...
Working for yourself is the goal. Having the flexibility to spend time with family, work with those ideal customers you enjoy.
But then one day you wake up and feel like you're on this "groundhog day" treadmill.
Yesterday feels like the day before and tomorrow has the makings of yesterday.
What Happened?
In this episode, after 15 years, I want to share how, after I began working differently, tomorrow looked different, in a good way.

Join me today as I share insight of being in the marketing world for as long as I have, around the realization of how we can truly get in front of our ideal customers.
Often a businesses ideal customers present unique challenges that prevent them from getting to them or in front of them with their offer. This can be challenging and frustrating for that business, who may have a valuable solution for this audience, but due to the comp...
"think in the world of what if, instead of why not!"
This is what Ai has done. It has literally allowed anyone with a smartphone to enter a prompt into the ChatGPT app on their phone, and change their world.
It has create portals in the minds of the brightest who've ever lives, and they are right there, on our phones, ready to help.
The question is, can we take this device and instead of just owning a hammer and the best we can do is ...
I remember watching a movie with Michael Keaton, a long time ago where he somehow was able to duplicate himself. This was magical because he was like most entrepreneurs...trying to or needing to be in multiple places at the same time...only to realize there is just not enough of you.
Fast forward and the movie Multiplicity has come to real life. We can now using tools well within our financial reach, make clones of ourselves. And js...

Allen will take you lead gen to a whole new level with results you can count on.
Many times a solution will be sold to a business, when in reality a critical piece is missing.
An example of this is when a local business hires a marketing agency to drive more traffic and leads, but then leaves the processing of the leads to someone else...only to later discover the busin...
This comes up more often than one might think. The reason may be that over the past few years to terms Ad Agency, Marketing Agency, Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing have all kinda been blended to mean the same...
However, this is not true and based on the needs and outcomes the local business owner is seeking, it is important to know what these are, and are not and select the right one.
It's evolving so quickly that what was not possible yesterday is reality today.
Imagine being faced with a challenge. So you open up your phone and ask your friend, ChatGPT, who, no offense, may be faster and smarter than we are, even on our best days...and seconds later, either you have the answers you thought didn't exist, or the step by step on how to solve whatever it is!
This is the new world...are you ready?
For most local business owners the thought of creating content can immediately be overwhelming. The good news about this platform, when done how I describe, can satisfy most if not all of your content marketing demands as a local business owner. And because few if any of you competitors locally are using this new distribution channel to get new customers, the road is paved with opportunity.
Join Jeff Harrison on this episode of the Local Voice - Are You Working In Your Business or On Your Business?
If you feel like you are busier than a one armed window washer, and one day kind of feels like the movie groundhog day...you may be working in, versus on your business.
Why is this important?
Growth, for those who want to see their business flourish require working on.
What exactly does this mean and what's the difference?

Acquiring new customers can be a challenge. Often business owners will try and compete with other local competitors, resulting in two losses for the local business...which both can be costly.
But after 15 years of marketing for local business owners I want to share with you a different, more reliable and far less expensive approach.
Unlike swimming in shark infested waters (you local market) with all your competitors, trying to land ...
We do not know what lies ahead until we begin taking steps forward. As we do, we see new things, new challenges and new opportunities.
This is how I feel about Ai, especially when it comes to how it can help transform and accelerate local businesses.
In this episode I share new insights, immediately after I finished a call with a fellow mastermind member.
Get ready, some of the things I talk about will be one of those "once you h...
Have you ever decided to do something at a level that requires you to dig deep and devote so much time and effort, that your friends and family begin to notice you've been kinda missing?
This is where I have been for the past 4-6 months...diving deep...consuming and applying hundreds of hours of education into the future of how local and frankly, big business will be operating.

Have you ever had to say, no i am sorry, I can't be there because I have another commitment...or maybe a customer needs questions answered, and simultaneously a potential new customer needs your full attention...what do you do?
You clone yourself of course!
Welcome to the Jetsons!

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
