line with us. Officer Nick Puglisifrom the Monroe Police Department. Thank you
for joining us today. Not aproblem, happy to talk to you all
right. It's the third annual SpecialOlympics Classic Car Show to benefit Connecticut Special
Olympics. You are the mastermind behindall of this, so tell me all
about it. Well, like yousaid, it's our third annual show since

I got hired with Monroe, we'vetypically been in the top ten of top
earning departments to benefit the Special Olympics, and I want to kind of put
my stamp on it and our fundraisingefforts. And this is just something that
I noticed that not a lot ofother departments even looked into. And it's

a way that we can get thecommunity together and share the love of classic
cars and community relations and again tofurther the relation lease department in our community
that we serve as well as supportinga great cause right with the Connecticut Law
Enforcement Tortrum with Special Olympics Connecticut,your community. I know you're working with

some great people in Monroe. Besidesthe police department, is anybody you'd like
to say thank you to or talkabout that's helping you to make this day.
Hospital. One of my partners,John Caruso from the Monroe Street Roders,
is an asset for me in termsof bringing this together. I couldn't
have done it without his help andof the local scene when it comes to

our communities and their clubs and justhelping to really spread the word and to
get spectators and you know, peopleto show up with their cars. Right,
and then you also have I thinkright when cruisers and the Tremble Classic

car shows, and there's even gonnabe trophies of fifty to fifty music rights,
food, fun It's gonna be abig day event on Saturday, May
twenty fifth, and it's an allday event eight thirty to three pm for
all ages, right right, Absolutely, any anybody can come and show up,
even if you're not bringing a car. We'd love to have you.
We have as you said, youknow, raffle prizes, food trucks,

other vendors and not only get tosee some really cool cars. Now,
if you are bringing a car,there is a fifteen dollars registration fee,
but that's the fundraiser, right,Yeah, that's just to help those right
to the special Olympics. When youwhen you bring your car in, it
just collected at the door and they'llyou know, assign you a spot and

then have a fantastic day from thereon out. Tell everybody exactly where this
is taking place, the exact location, and you know, best time to
show up if they want to bea part of this day. So where
it's going to take place at Fireman'sField, which is right at the corner
of Root one eleven and Root oneten in Monroe. If you're bringing a
show car, the entrance is goingto be off of Moose Hill Road.

There'll be plenty of signs and availableparking for spectators that would like to come
and just enjoy the festivities. Youcan park at the Saint Jude School which
is at seven seven Route one elevenin Monroe, and there'll be an officer
there to help you cross the streetssafely. And if you want to participate
with your car your vehicle, You'relike, all cars are welcome for the

show, right the should probably getthere when it starts, But what if
they can't get there to like youknow, say nine or ten or eleven,
is there a cutoff point or canpeople come at all times? People
can come in at all times.Last year we had people still showing up
at one two o'clock. I loveit. You know. The way the
way that it works is if you'dlike, if you like to be eligible

for for a trophy, I wouldsay, just get there before lunch and
we'll start the judging at that point. You know, we have we have
over fifty trophies for this year,so based off for numbers, uh,
you know, one in every fourcars might end up going home with a
