Team USA snagged a pair of Olympic medals in the pool.
The headliner Katie Ladecci, who buried the field, winning gold
on the women's fifteen hundred freestyle, winning by more than
ten seconds and breaking her own Olympic record. It was
Ladeki's eighth career Olympic gold medal. Meanwhile, teammate Tory Husk,
who won gold earlier in Paris in the one hundred butterfly,

won silver in the one hundred freestyle. It's her third
medal in Paris, saying it feels amazing.

I know it was possible that it's still so excited
to be on the podium again.

There are five more medal events on the swimming schedule today.
The US women's soccer team finished three and zero in
group play, holding off Australia. Trinity Rodman and Corman Albert
each scoring goals for the US. The women clinched Group
B with nine points. They officially qualify for the quarterfinals
and will face Japan on Sunday. Today, women's basketball back

on the court, they'll battle Belgium. The US will be
looking to improve to two to zero in the group phase.
