On On with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
All right, Mario, Courtney Lopez back in the mix.

Speaker 3 (00:05):
Here, less than forty eight hours until we break bread
around the Big Bird. Today, we're going to reveal the
three things you need to bring to Thanksgiving dinner that's
coming up in Courtney's corner.

Speaker 4 (00:14):
Plus, actor Jesse Eisenberg will be zooming in his newest movie.
Is looking pretty intense. We'll ask him all about it,
but I'm next your first look at Taylor Swift night
on Dancing with the Stars. You are on with Mario
and Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
We got your first look at Taylor Swift not on
Dancing with the Stars. Are with Mario and Courtney Lopez.
Is going to be two dances tonight, and the guest
judge is Mandy Moore, not the singer, the choreographer in
charge of Taylor's Heiress tour.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
She's really great. Six couples left after Barry Williams was
eliminated last week.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Oh I know.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
Harrig, poor Greg it Well. Harry Jalousy from Too Hot
to Handle continues to survive despite having the lowest score
in five.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Weeks out of eight weeks. WHOA.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
At this point, it's looking like the finals will come
down to arianomatics from vander Pump Rules an actress, so
she Gomez.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
You know, if you had asked me in the beginning,
I would have not guessed these two would be necessarily
in the finals. Will have them both on Access Daily recently.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
And lit Sochi is so sweet. She's very sweet, very
nice in Ariana very nice as well. So we'll see
what happens. Go get them, ladies.

Speaker 5 (01:22):
Happy holidays from the entire on with Mario fam more
Fest and fun coming.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Up all Mario Courtney Lopez more music is in the mix.
But real quick, let's take a look at what's on
TV today.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Hulu has Obituary. When a newspaper's obituary writer finds out
she will be paid per article, she begins murdering people
to avoid going broke.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Wow, there is a dark premise.

Speaker 6 (01:46):
Tons Are Tough.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Vh one premieres Nick Cannon presents Future Superstars It's Not
His Kids docuseries where Nick Mentor's up and coming new
talent in the music industry.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Okay, Nick Cannon, we were hanging out recently. It was
nice to catch up with him.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Okay, Max Debuts Exposed Naked Crimes, invasions and robberies that
all share one thing in common, a completely naked suspect.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
I saw the promo for this on TV and it
is so funny because obviously they can't show the people naked,
so they blur. But dudes are like really running and
being athletic. Buck naked women too.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
I just don't know why I'm never witnessing any of
this stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Oh is that what?

Speaker 6 (02:26):
Someone has come all of them for you?

Speaker 4 (02:29):
If you're gonna rob me, be naked, that is wild.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Mario Courtney Lopez here got more music in the mix.
But first, some quick buzz for you.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
We're getting a fourth movie in the Creed franchise.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
No one's asking for you.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Michael B. Jordan, we'll direct this one. He made his
directorial debut with Part three. Okay, that film made fifty
eight million dollars. It's opening weekend, a record for that franchise.
Not too shabby.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Listen, there's no bigger Rocky fan than me. Obviously this
is an extension of that. But you don't have Rocky
in it. That's the only thing that's killing me. But
you go do your thing, Michael Boob, you're al Mario
Courtney Lopez music returns in a moment, but right now,
time to learn a new life act.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
What is the topic today?

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Corney's Corner Thanksgiving dinner. If you really want to be
a helping hand, there are three things that you should
bring to the meal. Your own apron. It tells the
host you're ready to help, much better than passively asking
is there anything you need?

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Oh, you're just ready to get to work when you
show up with an apron.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Okay, your own take home containers for leftover so the
host won't have to track you down for the tub.
Aware and honestly, this is actually a good thing because
sometimes mine just goes missing and then when people need it,
I don't care if I don't get it back, but
I just don't have it.

Speaker 6 (03:47):
You don't know where it is, and I.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Don't right, I don't have the lid that matches the bottom.
It's the whole thing. A handy stain remover, a tied
to gopen or some oxy clean spray can fix a
quick stain. You know, drinking and all the craan bear
and things gravy you're going to be having.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
This is a solid Thanksgiving hack list, Honey.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
More details it on with Mario touch on.

Speaker 5 (04:07):
Happy Holidays from the entire on with Mario fam or
fest and fun.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Coming up, Mario Courtney Lopez here. My Christmas Tradition returns
tomorrow night, fourth annual iHeartRadio Holiday Special. I will be
breaking at the egg Nog with some of the biggest
artists in music out in John Chaer, Rob Thomas, a
whole bunch of others.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
We'll talk all things Christmas, including all time favorite gifts
and memories. This is always so much fun. It's going
down tomorrow night. You can go to on with Mario
dot com for Aldi info.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Mario Courtney Lopez here with more music on tab. But
up next, we've got actor Jesse Eisenberg zooming in. He's
got a new movie called Matadrome. Looks pretty intense too.
We're gonna find out all about it after some more
Music's a Mario Lopez joining me now on Zoom Austar
nominated actor Jesse Eisenberg.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Welcome to the show Man.

Speaker 7 (04:53):
How you ben great and thank you so much for
speaking with me today.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Mary, Oh, my pleasure. Thank you for taking the time.
Congrats on the new movie Manodrome. Great title looks uh,
looks pretty intense.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
How would you describe it?

Speaker 8 (05:05):
Yeah, it's this unbelievably uh intense fever dream of a
movie about this guy you I play, who's about type
of baby just lost his job working in a factory,
is starting to kind of question his identity, his masculinity.
He's like a he's a gym guy. He's in the
gym all day every day and just has kind of
like this psychological break from reality and joins a male cult.

(05:28):
So it's this kind of very intense, scary, sad, emotional,
but really thrilling, entertaining kind of thing.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Oh, it sounds like such a cool premise. I'm always
fascinated by Colt. You mentioned he's a gym guy. Did
did you have to bulk up it all for this role?

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (05:44):
I mean I spent like over a year and a
half because like going to the gym every day, partly
because I am, you know, unlike you. It's not built
that way, or maybe you're not built that way either,
and you just work at it. But like, uh, you know,
but also uh, because the movie kept getting like pushed back.
It's like an independent movie, so like the schedules kept changing.

(06:04):
I'd be like working out for like six months. Every
day I feel like I'm in a good place, and
then they call say, actually, the movie is not happening
for another six months. I'm like, okay, I'd either stop
and immediately shrivel down to my birth weight again, or
I can maintain this like holding pattern of a thing
by eating every day and still going to the gym.
So it was just this long drawn out process, which
is like, not exactly natural for me.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Good for you, though. That's a lot of hard work.
Right there.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
You can see Manodrome right now in theater's whole time.
We're gonna have more with Jesse Eisenberg coming up more.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Mario Lopez hanging out with Jesse Eisenberg talking about his
new movie Managrome. Great cast too. The movie also stars
Adrian Brody. What type of vibe does does he bring
to the set. Is this first time you guys have
worked together?

Speaker 7 (06:46):
Yes?

Speaker 8 (06:46):
No, Actually we were in a movie called The Village
by m Night Shyamalan in two thousand and two. But
I played a character, Oh, you would have no recollection
and including my grandma who had no recollection.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
No, I do remember, and I do remember that one we.

Speaker 8 (06:56):
Actually Oh, So I played a character called boy on
Stump because I stood on a stump and had a line.
And my grandma saw the movie and she said, I
think I saw the wrong movie because you weren't in it.
And I said, Grandma, you're blind in one eye. You
probably just didn't see it. She's like, no, no, no, no,
I suck perfectly. I just didn't see you in it.

Speaker 7 (07:14):
So I had a very small part.

Speaker 8 (07:15):
So then to get to play across Adrian Brody in
this movie with like a very good part was thrilling,
you know, because I was on set with him every
day in that other movie, and you know, got to
see how great he is. He has like this very charismatic,
kind of mysterious, alluring presence and in the movie in Managrome,
that is like, you know, he runs this kind of

(07:35):
like male cult, which is like alluring and scary and appealing,
and for somebody like my character who's like going through
this you know, identity crisis and vulnerable time, it's like
a perfect and also awful person to meet.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Great casting. I can see him being a cult leader.
I mean that as a compact.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Wait, the little movie is Manadrome. Hold on Jesse you
gotta play some more music. Got actor Jesse Eisenberg on
zoom me are all Mario Lopez?

Speaker 2 (08:01):
And I see you directed your first movie earlier this year.
Did How was the experience?

Speaker 7 (08:07):
It was great?

Speaker 8 (08:08):
I mean, you know, I was working with these two
wonderful actors, Julianne Moore and Finn Wolfard. They're two, like,
you know, just brilliant actors of different generation styles of course,
and it was just the most fortunate thing I could
have as a director. I wrote the script based on
like a book I'd written for Audible, So I lived
with these characters for like a few years, and getting
to like, you know, present them on screen was thrilling

(08:30):
and I'd love to keep doing it.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
That's awesome. What a great cast for your first film
right there.

Speaker 7 (08:35):
That's awesome, very strange, very strange.

Speaker 8 (08:37):
Yeah, it's almost like not a good thing because then
you expect everything afterwards.

Speaker 7 (08:41):
That's great.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
The bar is set hi Now, well, that movie is
called when you finish Save in the World. Hold on, Jesse,
got more music right now? You're a Mario Lopez. My
guest today is Jesse Eisenberg. And you have a son, correct, Jesse?

Speaker 6 (08:53):
Yeah, how old is.

Speaker 8 (08:54):
He Now, Yeah, my kid's about to turn like seven
in like a week.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Actually, nice, man, Nice, it's fun.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
I got a couple of boys myself. What's he into?

Speaker 8 (09:06):
Uh, it's strange. He's like into performing, but not in
a way that I was. So I was like a
very shy kid who then became a performer, and my
kid's the exact opposite. He's like not a shy person
who likes performing, and so it's interesting. So I just like, oh,
I'm seeing like a kid that in some ways would
have like intimidated me because they're very like outgoing, extroverted,
which I was not. And so it's kind of a

(09:27):
relief to see that because I'm like, oh, yeah, he's
gonna have these.

Speaker 7 (09:29):
Qualities that I would have wanted as a kid.

Speaker 8 (09:31):
And how beautiful it is to see like your kid
feel comfortable with something that made you nervous when you
were young.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Yeah, that's super cool. You grew up in Jersey, correct?

Speaker 7 (09:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Are you?

Speaker 3 (09:41):
Are you going back there for the holidays or you
you live in la or are you an East Coast guy?

Speaker 7 (09:46):
I live in New York.

Speaker 8 (09:47):
My parents still live in Jersey where I grew up
in Central Jersey, and My wife is from Indiana, so
we spend like you know, well, I mean during the pandemic,
we were living in Indiana. Even before the pandemic, we
were living on and off in Indiana to help out
with some family stuff. And so you know, I live
between like really the Midwest and very East Coast and
my parents are in Jersey in a town that I

(10:09):
thought about every day while making Managerroom because it was like,
you know, kind of a jockey kind of town, and like,
you know, then this movie, I'm playing this guy who's
like basically trying to be like a stronger guy. And
so anyway, I visit them less sporadically or more sporadically
than they would love.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
It's a nice little balance with Indiana in New York. Well,
we got to take a break, but there's one more
thing I want to ask you. We're going to wrap
it up with Jesse Eisenberg.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Just a moment.

Speaker 5 (10:31):
Well you're the full interview now at on with Mario
dot com. More Mario Lopez on the way.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
Mario Lopez here wrapping things up with actor Jesse Eisenberg.
Last question, I was trying to look for you on
social media, but I don't believe you're on social media, correct.

Speaker 8 (10:45):
Yeah, And I feel like maybe I was ahead of
the game because now it's like, you know, people are
constantly saying things they immediately regret, and I know if
I was on for a day, I would just immediately
regret every single thing I said and have to make
you know, ten public apologies the next day.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
That's irony.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
It should be about open dialogue, on our healthy dialogue
where you exchange a freedom of thought. But for some
reason it turns into echo chambers. And you're exactly right, So.

Speaker 8 (11:08):
God mob mentality and this would kill me because I
like really don't have much of a filter, and so
I'm on.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
Social media, oh exactly.

Speaker 8 (11:17):
You know, I'm sure, I'm sure I thrill and infuriate people,
but like I just thank my lucky stars every day
that like I was, like, I didn't join because I
just know my personality would be the exact worst kind
of thing I've already had to make, like do like
some public apologies for just misstating something or saying something accidentally,
or saying a joke in an interview, and I literally

(11:39):
did meant.

Speaker 7 (11:40):
The opposite of the joke.

Speaker 8 (11:41):
I was trying to kind of put myself down, but
instead it made me look like I was making an
arrogant statement.

Speaker 7 (11:45):
I'm so embarrassed and like just having.

Speaker 8 (11:47):
Gone through those little experiences make me think like I
never want to touch this at all.

Speaker 7 (11:51):
I'm terrified.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
It's actually very smart and Jesse, I feel you and
I've been there, so I get you.

Speaker 7 (11:55):
If I know, I feel for you too, I know,
I know.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
I know.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
Congratulations on the film, on both the films. I look
forward to the other one too. You can watch Manadrome
in theaters now. Thanks so much for taking the time.
Hopefully you see in person soon.

Speaker 7 (12:07):
It's always great to speak to you, Mario, Thank you
so much.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
All right, buddy, you too, Take care.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
Mario Courtney Lopez. Here were just two days until Thanksgiving.
I don't know how Thanksgivings only two days away when
November just happened like one day ago.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
I know what happened. But we always celebrate around here,
and today's a holiday as well. What do we got?

Speaker 4 (12:39):
It is World Television Day.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
A Remember when people thought TVs would be obsolete or
TV shows and it was all going to be about
the phone and the internet.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Thank god that's not the case.

Speaker 9 (12:52):
No, Now we just sit in front of a TV
looking at our phones instead of to the interception.

Speaker 4 (12:57):
Or we go on the TV just to get on
the internet.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Yes, wow, deep, you're a Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
Music returns in a moment, But right now, let's get
to your tweets and comments.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
This is from at Bella Don't bite. She said, people
who take naps have bigger brains that don't make sense.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
Now, yes, Bella's probably referring to a article I posted.
These are real articles that I tend to post in
the morning, with real headlines, and they crack me up,
and I'll give my little thoughts and yeah, evidently people
who take naps have bigger brains.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
And you know me, well, does that mean smarter or
just bigger? You could be dumb and have a bigger brain.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
I think I think a bigger brain implies smarter because
there's so much knowledge up there.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
I know people, I know people with really big heads
who aren't.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
That big heads don't necessarily big by I love a nap.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
I'm my napking.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
And I have a tiny head.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Why you face so small?

Speaker 1 (13:53):
More Mario Lopez on the.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
Way, More music on deck. You're on Mario Courtney Lopez.
But up next, a little lesson in music history. We're
gonna go back to the biggest hit of nineteen eighty one.
I'm gonna reveal it next. What a special year, Yah
Mario Courney Lopez And on this day in history forty
two years ago, a nineteen eighty one.

Speaker 6 (14:12):
Math does not make sense in my head, right?

Speaker 3 (14:15):
I know this became the biggest song in the country. Yes, yes,

(14:36):
Olivia Newton John, let me tell you something. That song
is fire still. That is a great song with probably
one of the greatest music videos of all time, just
because it's so corny and it's quintessential eighties with the
leg warmers and the old school equipment right there. The
song would stay in top for ten weeks and would
be the biggest hit of the year. And that was

(14:57):
a good year of music.

Speaker 4 (14:59):
That was also a good year because we know I
was good.

Speaker 6 (15:01):
Year for births.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Missus Lopez was born all right.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
The end of the year, like almost eighty two.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
Yeahmaro and Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
Music returns in a moment, But right now, got a
couple of birthday shout outs.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Let's try to guess the ages.

Speaker 9 (15:17):
Carl Ray Jepson from Call me maybe and call me
maybe Carly maybe thirty two.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
No, she was a teenager when she did. That's how
I'm gonna say. She's twenty eight, thirty eight.

Speaker 6 (15:32):
Come on, she Carly was not a teenager?

Speaker 2 (15:36):
Wow, she was not.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
I was thinking maybe of the girl that it's Friday.

Speaker 6 (15:41):
Rebecca Black I believe was a teenager.

Speaker 9 (15:43):
Yeah, okay, probably also thirty.

Speaker 6 (15:47):
Michael Strahan from Good Morning America, My guy.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
Stray he is fifty two, fifty five.

Speaker 9 (15:53):
Fifty two is christ Hey nicol Let Shridan from Desperate Housewives.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
Nicol Lets share is sixty.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
I think she's fifty five sixty.

Speaker 6 (16:05):
Wow, you got it?

Speaker 5 (16:07):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (16:07):
And finally, Goldie.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
Hon Goldie Honic been kicking it with her husband lately, Kurt.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
I know that such a nice.

Speaker 9 (16:14):
Kind of jealous of that because he was in so
many amazing She's been in so many amazing movies too.

Speaker 6 (16:19):
But he was clas he was Snake from Escape from
New York and that's why Christmas Chronicles and.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
Goldie, oh yeah, he was sat in Christmas.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
She's got to be seventy one, seventy four, seventy eight.

Speaker 9 (16:32):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
Mario and Courtney Lopez Here music continues after some quick buzz,
the Lifetime Network celebrating a big milestone, their five hundredth
original movie.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
Look at that.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
It all started back in nineteen ninety with Memories of
a murder. See how a good murder movie can just
kickstart things did their most recent production, Murder Murders the
movie so.

Speaker 6 (16:56):
Murder keeping it going well, They're killing it.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
Congratulations.

Speaker 8 (17:01):
What up?

Speaker 2 (17:01):
Mario Courtney Lopez here with more jingle Ball news.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
We've already told you how to win a trip to
New York to see the concert in person at Madison
Square Garden.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
But now something cool for folks here in La.

Speaker 4 (17:11):
The jingle Ball pre show Village is back completely free
in the key of Forum Parking Lot. We've got Teddy Swims,
g Idle, Paul Russell, and Moore. That is going down
on December first. Just go to on with Mario dot
com and get all the info.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
You're Mario Courtney Lopez, and I am so proud of
our youngest child, Santino. He competed in his first wrestling
tournament over the weekend. I'm a little out of loss
of words, so I got to tell you I was
shocked at how he competed. It was a foreign under
division he was in. He was the lightest one coming

(17:47):
in at thirty eight pounds.

Speaker 6 (17:49):
Weighed them.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Oh yeah, it was in.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
The other kids were forty one and forty two pounds,
and the tournament was running late. It was a little disorganized. Unfortunately,
there was a ton of kids, and these little kids
get restless, right. He started getting and I'm like, oh no,
and I was getting stressed out. There's no reason to get.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
On that matt and wrestled. Finally, when it was the time,
I said, come on here, let's go. He got on
that mat. I kind of dragged him on the mat
to be honest, and.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
He killed it nice. He's a game timer. He's like
Alan iversaon practice. I don't even know practice. He came
and just was aggressive. Won three matches. His fourth one
he was winning, lost by a point because of a
mistake he made. He doesn't know any moves, so he
made a lot of mistakes. He was so aggressive and

(18:31):
he started listening and I was so proud of him,
and he gathered quite the crowded. Oh my god, that's
when my voice is still a little hoarse. But he
was I just I was like on cloud night. It
was awesome to see it wasn't honey.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
Yeah, And if you know Sonny, you know he's just
you never know what you're gonna get with him. So
it was just stressful getting him ready going there because
we're like, oh, I guess we won't know until we try.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
And boy did he try and he delivered. He ended
up walking away on second place. But my I just
pride to shout through the roof and he was an
incredible way to go.

Speaker 6 (19:05):
A little savage count of.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
That for Mario Lopez.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
Coming up more music after some quick buzz You're on
with Mario Courtney Lopez. Shaquita has accepted a deal with
the Spanish government over her tax fraud case against her.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
On the first day of trial, she decided to acknowledge.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
That she hasn't paid sixteen million dollars in taxes. How
do you just not pay? It was sixteen million dollars
in taxes?

Speaker 2 (19:28):
Can you believe that?

Speaker 4 (19:29):
And you don't think you're going to get caught?

Speaker 3 (19:31):
Well, not only did she get caught, she is avoiding
a lengthy trial and potential jail time. So she agreed
to pay a fine of seven point six million, which
is still pretty staggering. But how do you let it
